Have eaten in many steak houses in London and also other cities including New York. Keep coming back to Goodman. Great service, delicious food and nice ambience. Never disappoints.

Top steaks and very good wine selection.

This is probably the best beef restaurant I've ever been to. Even Michelin restaurants have something to look up to! We had dry aged bone in ribeye from UK blue eye. Delicious! Ask for today's special cuts instead of ordering from the regular menu, and you'll be in for a treat!

i was invited by colleagues to this place while i was observing vegetarianism (they werent aware). as such im not in a great place to comment, but i was grateful that they had some vegetarian options as well so i didnt have to go hungry. the steak looked good. i had a quinoa croquette with beans, spinach, mushroom, and mac and cheese.

It’s been a while since the last time I’ve dimmed at Goodman and I can assure you that it won’t be long before I visit again as I had a fantastic meal My starter was a steak tartar- from the texture, the presentation to the flavoures, it was just right - I couldn’t have enough of it The fillet steak that followed was done to perfection, nice medium rare - exactly as it should be whilst chargrilled perfectly from the outside I’ve dinned recently in a few of the known steak restaurants, Goodman certainly tops the list

The steak was quite nice but nothing special that would distinguish it from other steak restaurants. The dessert was definitely sub par.

Visited Goodman last night with a mate and as always had a wonderful meal with a perfectly cooked Porterhouse for my main. Glad to see the restaurant busy on Tuesday night and looking forward to going again in a few months.

Superb venue. Exceptional quality food and very carefully selected beverages. Delicious Syrah wine. One of the best service teams I have met so far in London. Kudos to Ilenia and a few others. Worth recommendation to everyone disembarking at the DLR's Bank station in central London.

Yesterday, I had a fantastic dinner at Goodman. The service was top quality, the meat cooked perfectly, the starters were really good and we were treated with a small surprise at the end. I will visit more often.

Had a fabulous birthday dinner for my friend. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Goodmans and I thought the triple cooked chips would have been improved but alas not :-( they are still not great (maybe they use frozen potatoes who knows) The rest of the food was amazing, prawns for starer and the steak was amazing and very well cooked & our deserts were fab, loved the happy birthday message on my friends plate, thank you :-) Thank you for amazing service, the place was massively busy for a Wednesday night but they were very attentive … thanks Goodmans, just please sort out your chips :-(

Delicious meal at Goodman City. Quick service, excellent food and wine, great atmosphere although a little noisy - can’t really hear someone speaking from across the table! Recommend ordering from “The Cut” which they will show you what they have got on a large blackboard. Shared 3 steaks (L->R: ribeye, aged sirloin, chateaubriand) between four people plus sides and desserts 😋 So tasty!

Good business lunch spot and the menu of the day is great value

We were asked on arrival if we were there for an occasion to which we responded that it was our anniversary. When it was time for pudding they brought out a free crème brûlée with Happy Anniversary in chocolate writing. It is an expensive experience, but you get what you pay for and should probably expect this in London anyway. The food was all perfectly done, absolutely no complaints in that department either. I thought they had a good selection of sides. It is a steak house so I didn’t look at the vegetarian options to make any comment (but the menus are all online if you wanted to look). The service was absolutely amazing; there were times I looked at my wine and water and they had definitely been topped up without me noticing. Everyone was super lovely, knowledgable about the food and accommodating!

Classic steak house atmosphere, red leather seating, high ceilings - nice space. The steak itself was good - had the rib eye on the bone, medium rare. It was well cooked, and would have it again, but it was not exceptional.

Don’t have asthma when visiting this restaurant. An abrasive aggressive assumed it was a vape and literally broke in to a conversation to tell me to not vape!! My unit for asthma looks generic but of course doesn’t produce any smoke was reason for the waiter to feel to introduce some false sense of dominance to antagonise me at the dinner table and their restaurant manager had the arrogance not to enquire either. Being inclusive in 2024 should be something to expect rather then to hope for. Had good experience with their other restaurants but be careful visiting their city venue.

Outstanding steak and grilled meats and chips, great wine list, good service. An excellent example of a traditional high end London chop house. Not cheap but high quality.

Amazing from start to finish! The staff were very knowledgeable, professional and welcoming. The atmosphere and decor are quite traditional but really fit with the menu. One of the best steaks I have had in a long time with the most amazing wine! Will definitely be back when in the area!

Arrived, waited - found the two greeters in the cloak room texting and chilling- shown to a nice table - table service ok, attentive; then had a constant stream of kitchen staff and I mean constant, sullenly walking past the table taking a keen interest - off putting. Scallops, delicious but meagre, tartar solid but unremarkable. Steaks cooked well, but again underwhelming and compared to either Gaucho or Hawksmoor lacking that punch of flavour. Chips good, broccoli, over cooked and drowned in a soy/honey confection (not mentioned in the menu) Wine by glass tasty enough, billed marginal more than advertised in the menu - to little to mention - but still. Absolutely average - Gaucho and Hawksmoor walk all over it -

Good quality steak of course. But wasn't blown away, as you would hope to be at those prices.

This is the best steakhouse I have tried in the City. On the 16th of December I had an amazing evening with the colleagues with a great selection of steaks and sides. A special thanks to the sommelier, Ilenia, who suggested me a bottle not in the list and spotted my taste with a great 10 years Nuites-Saint-Georges. This is when the sommelier makes the difference. I’ll come again for sure!

Very good experience! England ribeye with bone was so delicious, juicy, good smelling! Different smelling from USDA steaks. Highly recommended!

Good steak restaurant in central London. Food and service good, we had Rib Eye and Fillet both good, although the meat menu and daily board options read by the waiter did seem overcomplicated and left us with so many choices, and not all that clear, so we still reverted to standard menu. Overall good experience

I went here years ago. Everything is a different level here. Perfection

I visited solo in October 2023 for a Japanese A5 wagyu steak dinner, and found this restaurant to be the best value for that specific type of steak that I had come across in my search. All of the serving staff were brilliant, the meat itself was cooked perfectly to my taste, overall a brilliant experience. It was busy when I went, around 8pm on a Friday night, but there was no big wait for anything and the staff all seemed to be very much on top of things.

Great food. Amazing service from Silvia! It’s been a while that I enjoyed the food but the service as well 🥰 must try the Spain one. Something special than normal steak 🥩

Superb food and service, fellow diners raving about how good the broccoli and mushrooms were. But the steaks are star of the show, we all had different cuts and they were perfect.

Sadly, the steak, the main thing people go to Goodman's for isn't as good as Hawksmoor which I'd say is their main competitor based on price/value. The team at Goodman's is great though and will ensure you have a good experience. They are also very knowledgeable and will explain all the different cuts to you. The sides were great but for the price you pay you'd expect a better steak

The steak is amazing (although for medium-rare it was much closer to fully rare) but we had to choose 3 times because the specials kept selling out. Get there early to avoid disappointment!

Friday lunch here. Excellent food, the tuna tartare was exceptional as was the chateaubriand we shared. Atmosphere was decent - Friday in the city. About 75% full. Wine choice excellent. Mains did take a little while which was because the chicken is slow to cook apparently. The delay was rectified with good service.

I was really disappointed as I had high expectations. This is a premium steak restaurant but only the prices are premium. The ribeye steak was average (not really tasty or tender) and definitely not worth the price (55GBP). You can find a much better (same weight) ribeye at Hawksmoor for 25% less.

Food good and table staff helpful. 2 stars due to arrogant waiter at bar. Unreasonable, comfontatuonal and argumentative. Never had a similar experience in any restaurant, anywhere!

We had a wonderful time at Goodman City. Itzi had excellent knowledge of the full menu and beyond while making us feel both welcome and relaxed. The quality of the steak is always superb.

I have used Gooman City a few times and it never disappoints. Food and service are excellent and the atmosphere is always lively. The Steaks are fantastic, and there's a great choice.

Here for a work dinner with colleagues. Lovely clubbing vibe but the decor makes the place too noisy for easy conversation. Good steaks of course and a nice range of sides. One wine bottle good, but the second was corked

This was a return visit to Goodman after a very long break (5+ years). Hawksmoor has done a far better job of grabbing my attention these last few years, due to their expanding number of locations, meal kits during lockdown and generally more visible advertising efforts. Benefits of being private equity owned I suppose. I visited the Goodman City location with 3 friends on a Tuesday night. The published menu does offer a decent selection, but there are further cuts of steak available on the blackboard, including larger options for sharing. We tried some oysters to start, and I followed with the 400g USDA rib-eye, plus shared sides of the truffle chips, mushrooms, creamed spinach and carrots. We ordered the chocolate pave and the cheesecake for dessert. The food was very good all round, I was quite pleased with the quality of the steak, and the sides and sauces were all well prepared. Service was attentive and quite efficient, despite the restaurant being very busy at the time. The bill for the 4 of us came to £430, of which £85 was spent on drinks. On the whole, a very enjoyable steak dinner. It was pleasing to see Goodman was just as good as I remembered, and in my view it continues to be a worthy opponent to Hawksmoor…

Used to love this place. But the steak was substandard. All on the table agreed. Chips were average and other sides were ok. Overall 3/5.

I went to Goodman City with my partner’s family after his graduation. We were first greeted by the lovely receptionist and was offered a better seat, food was really good and they even surprised my partner with a graduation treat (a chocolate cupcake and a scoop of vanilla icecream) 🥰 P.S. The mac and cheese was just 🤤🤤🤤 Will definitely return without hesitation.

We found ourselves in this lovely restaurant by chance but could not be happier with the choice. My partner is a pescetarian and we were pleasantly surprised with the choice of fish available in a mainly steak house. The experience was made even better by the lovely Itza, who provided us such good recommendations and amazing service. As you can see by the photos, looking forward to going back.

Went on a business lunch, and came back full and happy! The food is excellent if you are a meat eater. One in the group was vegetarian and there was not very many options for him - but that is only fair. You know that this is a steakhouse, so you should not expect neither pizza nor many vegetarian options. Service was really good and all of us were very happy with the food - even the vegetarian. Nice tables for business meals.

One of the best steaks ive had in London. Would have given the food a 5 but we didn’t get enough aged flavour from the dry age steak. Overall though great experience

Despite dining in most of London's steakhouse, everytime I eat at Goodman, i feel that their steaks are the best.

The best steak variety and quality are available! Great knowledge regarding the cuts, and what would be the best choice for your liking. The wine selection is large and the beer options are great. The service is superb, and very nice team.

Wonderful steak house in the heart of the city. Highly knowledgeable and friendly staff, simple and delicious menu and a great selection of excellent wines to complement any dish. Super dining experience.

Goodman used to be really good and was one of my favorite restaurants in London. But now the food is just not great anymore, and badly overpriced.

I can't say enough good things about this place. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The menu had a fantastic variety, the portions were generous, and the taste was out of this world.

Special thanks to Lenka - spoke to her today and was so helpful and polite organising everything . Food is alwasys awesome!

Visited whilst on a trip to see my son in London. He pre booked this place based on a recommendation. To be honest we couldn't fault it. The tempura prawns were delicious and the steaks were outstanding. The restaurant was fully booked and extremely busy however the service was outstanding. Our server Daniels was fantastic, she explained the menu and blackboard menu perfectly and kept our glasses amply filled. A superb dining experience. If your looking for quality steak cooked to perfection you won't go far wrong.

In my opinion the best beef meat in London. The Goodman Ribeye USDA is outstanding. But it's not only meat. Other things on the menu are all very good. Truffle Mac and Cheese for example is delicious.

I didn't have a good experience mostly a combination of a waitress that didnt care and a steak that was not quite right. I told my waitress that my steak was too tough and had too many tendons and she said "ok" and walked away. I didnt eat my steak. She came back later on and asked us how was dinner (with my steak mostly untouched on my plate), and I said mine was not good, at all. And she said "ok" and gave me the bill and walked away. This was not an inexpensive dinner, but I have never been treated with such indifference to my experience and needs, nor had my issues ignored like that. Was shocked given the reputation of the place.

Previous visit was before the dark times (cov). Loved the food back then so I was a bit disappointed with some, not all, of the choices. Group of 8 so we ordered plenty to share. The starters were all decent, as was the Ribeye. The Wagyu was a letdown. Hopefully just a one off and will give it another go since it used to be great.

Never a bad meal and never a bad time. The staff are super knowledgeable which helps when you can't decide between great steak and great steak.

Visited Goodman with my friend where we have enjoyed many steak dinners in the past. We both love Goodman and in my opinion it is still the best steak restaurant in London. However our recent visit was good but not in line with previous expectations. The restaurant was busy which is an excellent sign but my view is that there wasn’t enough staff to cope with the demand so the service wasn’t in line with the many previous occasions we have frequented. Still a fantastic place to go for steak but please please please don’t fall back and just become one of the steakhouse pack. The uniqueness of Goodman is what makes it as well as the service, food etc. Your still number 1 in my book but keep being unique and just providing that extra bit the others don’t.

To be fair.. I came in here having very high expectations (that weren't exceeded).. We ordered a 1.4kg ribeye medium rare... Some parts were very much rare (though possibly due to the massive size, I somehow expected a steakhouse to be able to get it evenly cooked)... Sides were OK, nothing to shout about... Overall, would consider coming back but not necessarily on the top of my list for steak

Steak, oysters and wine with spinach,  chili n garlic. All was ok. I wouldn't run back unleas necessary as I think other restaurants offer better ambience and value but enjoyable.
