Excellent artisan coffee, great food, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere (including for families and those with dogs). We visited every day on our Easter trip to Barmouth. Really recommend.

We stopped in at Goodies Coffee Shop for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a bright, modern coffee shop, immaculately clean and with plenty of room between the tables. There is plenty of choice on the menu from light brunches through to full lunches. I can highly recommend the garlic and spinach mushrooms on sourdough toast and the ploughman’s platter is a feast to behold. Everything was fresh and tasty. We didn’t try the cakes but they also looked magnificent and will be on the must have list for next time. A three tier afternoon tea is also on offer at a very reasonable £11 PP. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food.

Great dog friendly, modern cafe. Popped in while staying nearby in Harlech and had the best sourdough toastie ever. Stayed for cake too which is homemade. Think all ingredients are of high quality. Coffee is good barista style. In fact it was the best cafe we came to and we came back 3 times in the week we were here. Had breakfast which again was excellent. Definitely highly recommend to visit if visiting Harlech.

Visited Barmouth on a cold January Monday . Goodies was a bit of a Hobson’s Choice. But what a find Friendly young staff working hard to be helpful. Tables were well cleaned after customers had left Had breakfast pancakes with eggs and lovely crispy bacon with maple syrup washed down with a couple of Lattes. All excellent One of us asked for no eggs but extra bacon and was happily accommodated Couldn’t fault it Customer toilet was under alteration but was clean - if cold . Highly recommended Thank you

Visited on a very busy Saturday morning in September, it was packed out but one spare table. When I ordered our full English breakfasts I was told there would be at least a 40 minute wait. That was fine, and good of them to tell us that. We enjoyed our coffees to wait and the breakfasts arrived at the time anticipated. They were excellent with quality ingredients on the plate. I don’t mind waiting for food that good. We often just pop in for coffee and cakes and that’s always great too.

Oh my goodness, what a great place for breakfast! Just what we needed before our long journey back to Norfolk. Great quality food and lovely coffee. My son demolished the pancakes and we all finished our plates. Would love to come back and enjoy the lunch menu - may be the next time we travel to N.Wales

Busy Friday prior to bank holiday. The staff were courtest, freindly and attentive. The food was fresh, well cooked and presented. Had a stack of pancakes and was advised that there would be await as the had to be made. 20 minutes later a stack of American pancakes with fruit and yogurt and honey in a side pot. These were wonderful. Additional we have a avocado egg bacon on toast. Made fresh to order and very enjoyable. Wobbly table outside resulting in ice coffee spilling completely but replace by staff promptly and with no extra cost. If the tables outside have a wedge that go under the road side legs may stabalise on an uneven pavement.

In Barmouth on a day trip and when I asked someone on coach if they could recommend somewhere for lunch they mentioned Goody's. So glad they did - lunch was wholemeal sandwich with bacon,brie & cranberry with bit of salad and few crisps on the side and a really good flat white coffee. It was delicious 😋. The young lady who served me was really pleasant and couldn't fault the way she looked after me. I called back just before return home to collect 2 boxed pieces of cake and another excellent coffee. Hope I will be back sometime. Thank you.

Excellent coffee, and delicious lunch. The falafel salad was very tasty, and good value. The cakes looked very tempting, and the brownie we brought home was a very good one.

Gorgeous spot in the middle of Barmouth. The staff were attentive and friendly, the cafe itself was clean and bright and the coffee was delicious. The felafel was spot on as were the sandwiches- nicely presented and gorgeous. The staff were kind enough to accommodate my fussy mare of a child's specific sandwich requirements too and we all came away feeling like we'd had a nice lunch. Highly recommended.

Visited several times over a week for our morning coffee fix. The coffee is great, there are non dairy options available too which were equally as good. Our little one was very impressed when her milkshake came with a doughnut on the straw, which I am told was delicious! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Cash payments are required for under £10.

Came for breakfast & they hadn’t actually got any breakfast items. I ended up with beans on toast with a spoonful of mushrooms when I asked if I could have a few more mushrooms they said they had run out of those too. I paid £5:95 for warm beans on toast & a spoonful of greasy mushrooms. If I hadn’t have walked so far into town & wasn’t so hungry I’d have asked for my money back. Very disappointing & not a good experience at all!

Ordered iced coffee which came 50% coffee/ice 50% milk. When I explained I didn’t want milk I was told an iced coffee comes with milk and if I wanted one without I would have to pay again. I suggested the waitress give my milky coffee to someone who would drink it. Worth noting, minimum £10 spend for credit card payments.

Called in for coffee and succumbed to the beautiful cakes. Went for lunch the following week. Very welcoming, efficient taking the orders. Drinks delivered quickly and food followed shortly. Came across Goodies whilst walking around Barmouth. Called in for coffee and cakes. It was so good that we went back the next day for lunch. Visited this morning, first customers at 9.30am when first opened. Served by a polite and friendly young lady. Sat at the table by the door and immediately noticed the crumbs and smears all over the table and floor with an ant crawling across the table. I dont know about the rest of the cafe but it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned from the day before! Sharing a cake with my partner but there were five knives in the basket and only one fork...which was dirty!

Possibly some of the best cake I’ve eaten in a long time!! Great value and great taste! Loved the biscoff brownie! Will definitely be returning :)

We visited Goodies twice this weekend, first time was for tea and cakes and the next for breakfast.

Indulged in a delicious afternoon tea for a mothers day treat with my family. It was exceptional value. The waitresses greeted us with a warm and friendly smiles. Ample choice on the menu and the best coffee for miles. The cake is to die for! Already planning my next trip back.

Wanted a coffee shop with homemade cakes. Wasn't disappointed I had chocolate brownie just beautiful my partner had Banana caramel loaf with butter icing again beautiful. Outside needs brightening up to make it more inviting, inside is lovely and clean.

If we spend the day in Barmouth there’s nothing like going into goodies for afternoon tea .. you pick the sandwiches you prefer and slices of cake .. it comes with scone jam and clotted cream .. well worth an afternoon indulgence..

My wife and I walked from Dolgellau to Barmouth recently along the old railway track and having arrived, popped into Goodies Coffee shop for a light lunch. We both chose the Welsh rarebit @£6.50, but I paid the optional 50 pence for two slices of back bacon on top. The meal was very tasty indeed and nicely presented with a side salad, some coleslaw and crisps. The service was excellent and both the lady behind the counter and the waitress were very pleasant and welcoming. I then had a large piece of home-made coffee cake, which was scrumptious whilst my wife had a large brownie (too large, in fact, as she had to take half home with her). We had a large pot of tea for two. We couldn’t fault our visit in any way.

After a long bike ride we found ourselves in Barmouth. That's when we found Goodies.

We live in the north of England but we come down to Wales on a regular basis and Barmouth is one of our favourite destinations. This year we found Goodies restaurant and it will be a restaurant that we will look forward to visiting when next in the town. We felt that the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant wouldn`t have been out of place in a much bigger setting. ( Chester, Liverpool ? ) All the best for the future.

We popped in for lunch while exploring the town at Barmouth and it was lovely.

Spotted Goodies just as it started to rain and went in for lunch. What a lovely surprise there was a good selection on the menu and some fantastic cakes on offer. Our order was swiftly taken and the food was all delicious. An extra bonus if you are a dog owner like us it is very dog friendly.

Stopped off at Goodies with my partner and our two dogs for afternoon tea. Beautiful little place - plenty of veggie options is always a plus. The staff were really lovely and the afternoon tea was really great. Amazing cakes!! Would highly recommend.

Visited the cafe twice while staying in Fairbourne with my husband, his parents, our baby and the dog. The first visit was just as the kitchen was closing but we were still served with toasties, which were very nice. Two veggies and two meat eaters and we all said they were tasty.

We visited on a weekday afternoon. Staff were warm and friendly. We had tea ( a large pot that made four cups of tea easily) plus cake (chocolate and sticky toffee). These were excellent, plenty of taste and beautifully moist. Good portions too. Price was very reasonable for the especially considering the quality.

Good to see the place so busy as I know that winter months can be tricky. Good mix of ingles, families and couples. Can only speak for the breakfast - exactly what you’d expect and well cooked.

This coffee shop was recommended to us and, I cannot lie, the cakes and coffee were delicious. However, and this is a big however, the service was awful. we don't mind a wait for food, we understand that busy periods make it hard, but rudeness and poor customer service is irritating. We returned the next day (benefit of the doubt) and ordered 3 coffees. After an extremely lengthy period we moved inside as we were cold by now and when they did arrive the order was wrong. As I said the coffee and cakes were lovely but just prepare yourself for a wait and to expect to feel like an inconvenience for going into this coffee shop and ordering coffee.

A nice place, with a pleasant waitress,but the scone I had was rather dry. My husband went to the toilet and was not impressed, a faulty door lock/bolt and a loose toilet seat. I think cafes really ought to take these things into consideration as part of the experience of visiting the premises.

Had a great lunch today at Goodies coffee shop. Home made soup was delicious- sweet potato and red pepper, lovely with a cheese scone. The pea and mint soup was good too. Goodies was a little bit of calm in a very busy Barmouth. Well done guys will definitely return.
