Golden Wok in Aberdeenshire

I have ordered from the Golden Wok three times now and I have to say I am very impressed by the food. I am quite fussy with taste when it comes to Chinese Food as I’m not sure if people actually know how to prepare it properly. The lady who took my order on the phone is very jolly and reads out your order once finished. I try the Beef in Black Bean sauce (Spicy) Dry CHICKEN chow mein and Salt and PepperSpare ribs. My wife likes the sharing box. The delivery is quick and the food comes piping hot. Never had a problem with my order. If you looking for decent Chinese food around Newtonhill, & Portlethan area give this one a try.

Due to decline in quality of food we stopped using this local takeaway over 10 years ago. My usual takeaway is closed for a few weeks so in desperation we thought why not try it again. Well it was a choice well made, this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time from a Chinese takeaway 😋 The food was piping hot, rich in taste, no greasiness, and plenty of it. We will certainly be using them again in the future that's for sure. Only thing the delivery was half hour late, but all was forgiven when the delivery driver handed me my food with a big smile and an apology for my wait. The food was certainly worth the wait. Happy customer 😁

Awful service had to walk there to get my delivery and staff are bizarre! 2 hours to get mediocre food

Food is excellent! One of the best I have had.. used to use O kitchen but the portions and food are much better here.... if they are busy however you can wait a bit. But its worth it

Always had lovely food from here. The lady is always smiley . The place can be quite busy at times but that's a good sign. The added extras are a nice touch. Prawn crackers, fortune cookies and spring rolls .

Service and waiting time atrocious!

Tried some new curry tonight and was blown away by how delicious it was! Super good and very recommended!

Love the food. Never have any complaints which is unusual for me keep up the good cooking.

I enjoyed my chicken chop suey and chips. Chips are charged separately at £3.70 for a massive portion. Next time I go there I'm going to ask for a half portion because I fed most of them to the seagull community. Not that I grudge feeding the wildlife but chips aren't their natural cuisine.

I had a dry beef chow mien, it was one of the best chow mien’s I’ve ever had, it was delicious !!! 👌

Placed an online order that was confirmed and money taken out of my account, no food received. Refund refused and lady in shop and on phone unhelpful and rude. Wouldn’t recommend ordering from here.

Lovely food and quick service. Lady was lovely and polite and was nice to see a worker with a smile.

Got munchies box and was fantastic and didn't have to wait long either.

The best Chinese food I have tasted including many in Edinburgh. Service very pleasant, delivery very quick and non greasy. Great helpings too. Highly recommended.

The change in ownership is not good. Tried three times and ever time the dishes were salty so will have to go further away to get Chinese now. Not happy.

quick delivery food was good a little on the pricey side. the salt and chilli chicken came in a sauce when its normally a dry dish apart from that decent food would recommend

Had high hopes for this place since it’s been taken over by a new owner but it’s still horrible. Food was cold, fried noodles were cut into tiny pieces and burnt. Fried rice...wasn’t fried. Satay sauce was like a bowl of pleghm with no taste at all. Chilli chicken had no chilli in it. Only nice thing was the curry sauce. Best avoided.

A bit pricey but quality take away food cooked to order. Also delivers now as well
