Golden Phoenix in East Lindsey

We popped in with our order written down as it was a large order and arranged for collection later in the evening. Food was ready on time, all as ordered and absolutely delicious. We ordered food for 11 people and every meal was perfect. If only we lived nearer rather than on holiday! Staff were lovely too.

First visit to Woodhall Spa. Paid a visit for a takeaway. Chose Set meal B for 2. Food was all delicious and plentiful. Lady who took our order was very friendly and gave us a time to return to collect. Food ready bang on time. Great food, great price, great service. Highly recommended.

Used to be our favourite in the area. Must have employed the cleaner to cook for them these days. Chose to have a family meal as a celebration of our son being home from university. Wish we hadn't bothered, the food was bland and completely tasteless, noodles tasted charred and burnt and portion sizes have drastically reduced. I cook better at home myself. Definitely avoid- save your money and time.

I phoned my order for 1 person through in advance, they told me to collect in in 35 minutes time. But when I drove there to collect my order, its sill wasn't ready. Im sorry but I'm not willing to sit across the road waiting all night for an average box of fried rice, its just not worth it, when I can get a pizza or a curry from further down the road in 10 minutes

We had a takeaway from here bank holiday weekend and I am sorry to say I have had the worst food poisoning I have experienced to date. My stomach has been on fire, I’ve had a fever and been unable to eat for 8 days. When your takeaway is ready in 15 minutes for a substantial order you have to be concerned, but it really was appalling quality food. I’m just glad my dog avoided our leftovers!! Terrible place do not order takeaway food from here.

Missing sauces so very dry food ! Chips Rock hard Tried to call to sort out the missing sauces but seems phone has been taken off the hook impossible to get through!

Our order had missing items. They do not offer refunds or delivery to compensate. Only offered a collection option. Ridiculous. The food itself was dry and tasteless. Very disappointing.

Needed a quick takeaway meal while away from home. Doesn’t look much from the outside but the girls who took the order were very polite and this was one of the tastiest Chinese takeaways I’ve had in years and really good value 😃

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food. Takeaway only, they do accept card payments. We stopped here while staying at Bainland Lodge Park. Got the set meal for three people, although there were only two of us. We had enough for a meal the next evening as well, when we added some home cooked rice. (We like leftovers!) will definitely come here again next time we are in Woodhall Spa.

During our visit we had a takeaway from the Golden Phoenix. Staff were very friendly and quickly had our meals ready. Both our meals were good and portions a good size. Reasonable price too. Not going to recommend anything though as we all have our favourites.

Great Food and Service. Would recommend to anyone as our experience was top notch! Friendly Staff and our food was worth the wait. I’d recommend ringing early to avoid disappointment.

Golden Phoenix has been our regular take away for a few years now, however, tonight we received appalling customer service. One of our meals was wrong (contained chicken in a vegetarian dish) but upon calling to explain the person on the phone was incredibly rude implying that I was lying about the wrong order which they had given us. Initially they were not going to replace the wrong order but then received a phone call a few minutes later saying that we had to return the wrong dish in order to receive the correct dish which had already been served up on the plate. We shall certainly never be using your services again. Very disappointed.

Clearly very busy but the young man was incredibly helpful and gave us an estimated time for when the food would be ready - time for a quick drink at the pub opposite and the food was bang on time. Very well organised post Covid and the food was excellent really fresh!!

Decided to order Chinese on our last night of our holiday, would definitely recommend quick friendly service, lovely polite and chatty young man before the counter he was very welcoming and food was lovely, very tasty by far the best Chinese we have had in years. Would highly recommend.

One evening during our stay in the local area we decided to get a takeaway and eat back at our lodge. Very tasty meal at a good price.

We went to this takeaway as the one in our town was closed - I am so glad we went and have to say we will be going here from now on, as the food was far better than any local restaurant, really tasty, not greasy and staff friendly.

This is my local takeaway of choice. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Food is always spot on, freshly made and cooked to perfection. I may order again tonight

If you are planning on having a Chinese meal from here you need to plan it about 2 hours in advance. We popped in to order and was told it would be one hour and twenty minutes. We only ordered rice, curry and chow mein nothing difficult I would have thought. We went back after the advised time and was told it will be a further 20 minutes. Once it was ready they hadn’t given us the curry we asked for so basically we paid £11 for some rice and noodles that were horrible and we were told we did not order curry.I have never known anything like it and if this place had any competition it would have closed a long time ago.

We were staying in Woodhall Spa and wanted something easy to take back to our Lodge. We decided to order from here, we were a bit apprehensive because our local Chinese at home is so good. We were wrong, this place is even better than what we usually have, and very affordable too. The food was delicious and didn’t leave us feeling bloated or greasy. I highly recommend the Broccoli in garlic sauce! Unlikely I would return to Woodhall Spa, but if I do I will remember this Chinese! :)

Staying in Woodhall Spa their food is far greater than any of the restaurants. We had it one night and it was so fab we went back for the same the next night - asked for extra chillies - and there was no extra charge - so satisfying - and it was my husband's 60th birthday - best celebration ever!! Lovely and friendly - fresh cooked and hot (as in warm) when we ate it.

We order a takeaway tonight, the dishes we order were excellent, probably one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had.

I ordered at 1845 tonight over the phone and was told my order would be ready at 1940.I arrived at 1935, and gave my name, I was asked if I had another name as they couldn't find my order... then I wad asked if I was sure I had ordered from them... I was then asked who I spoke to... to be told there was no record of my order. Despite the member of staff who took the order confirming I had ordered. The member of staff who was serving me just seemed completely clueless or was just useless... she then took my order again. This all took about 30 minutes then I heard the lady who originally took my order say it's there waiting for collection.... it had been there all along... when I hog the food home it was cold, the lemon chicken had no lemon sauce and everything was very greasy. Needless to say I will never frequent again, if this is the standard of food and service...

After the shambolic offering in Tattershall, we ventured a little further afield hoping to find a decent Chinese takeaway. Glad we found this place! Food is really tasty, good portions and at a reasonable price. Will definitely be making this our regular, despite the drive.

We order regularly from Golden Phoenix and have never had a bad meal from here. Can be very busy at times ( which can only be good ) so I ring in advance and collect when ready.Staff are friendly :-) They have a concise, tasty menu of dishes and would recommend to new customers every time.

Amazing - I think the menu may have been recently updated - we have always liked the chow mein - one of the best. Our village Chinese is closed on a Tuesday - and it seems that’s when we decide we want Chinese so end up at woodhall - we had spring rolls, mushroom chow mien, mixed veg curry, chilli salted chips and curry sauce (new we think). Mmmmmmm! It was all soooo tasty we are thinking even though we can walk to our local it’s worth the drive here instead. They also take cards, which our local doesn’t. One thing I will say is that they should do a vegetarian set menu.... something to think about. Also no where around seems to do crispy seaweed which is a shame...

Like the previous reviews have said, the food is so tasty, always piping hot, a good menu to choose from & very reasonable.

Ordered the meal for 2 @ £17, Ready in 10 minutes (no queue) took it back to our touring caravan, it was steaming hot and so tasty, tastiest we've ever had thoroughly enjoyed it, ate outside.

We had intended to get takeaway from another restaurant in Woodhall Spa on the night in question, but that was unexpectedly closed. So we gave the Golden Phoenix a go. On the downside, it has a more limited menu than the chinese restaurants we usually use, but we certainly couldn't fault the food we chose - not a bite went uneaten!

Llamé a mi pedido por teléfono y la comida estaba lista para la colección 30 minutos más tarde. Estaba caliente y tan bueno como cualquier chino que he probado. Tamaño de la porción era bueno y yo realmente no me puedo quejar de la comida. Precios fue lo normal, así que no hay quejas. Sin duda ordenar desde aquí.

We had a takeaway from here when we were staying locally on holiday. The quality of food was excellent, tasted nice and fresh. The customer service was good too. Will definitely revisit if we are ever in the area again.

Used this take-away on several occasions now and have never been disappointed. Food is really tasty and not too expensive. Service is good too.

Moved to the area (leaving a fantastic Chinese behind!) tried The Golden Pheonix with trepidation and thankfully it was great! Typical menu, something for all palettes, the food is really good.

We walked in without booking on Saturday evening and although very busy we were made welcome. The food was very good and we would recommend it to anyone who likes Chinese food.

WE ate here on a Thursday night and we were surprised we were able to get a table. The staff were first class as was the food. I surpose I can say this must have been the Best Chinese restraunt and meal we have ever had out side of London.

Acabo de recibir una de las Golden Phoenix esta noche. Hemos oído acerca de cambios en la gestión, así que decidimos probar. Pedimos lo mismo de cada chino. Así que pedimos carne desmenuzada chili estaba saturado. Sabor de aceite viejo muy grasienta y sin salsa no hay sabor realmente chocante. Es de £4 por 4 alas de pollo y 5 libras por 4 costillas, una de ellas era principalmente grasa! Ahora me siento tener que pedir otro después de llevar ya 24 libras en comida pasar no pude comer! Yo no recomendaría este lugar a todos!

Yo siempre comprar desde aquí cuando puedo. Nunca he tenido una mala comida. La comida es caliente, muy sabrosa, y hay un montón de cosas.

I tried the golden Phoniex as a one off . This was awful , the chicken curry that was suppose to be mild was very very hot, I did not enjoy it. The chicken throughout it all was far to over cooked . The rice was hard , and the chicken just fell out the batter of the chicken balls so there was not much point in having them . I also felt very poorly after I my stomach was in complete agony. I will not ever be coming again!!!

Well priced and delicious takeaway. Good service and helpful staff! Always use this Chinese when I order one.

This is a brilliant Chinese takeaway, fast service, great selection and right in the middle of woodhall spa over the road from a small car park

We were stating just along the road in a holiday cottage and noticed the recommendations for this place. The service was very prompt and my mixed meat kung po was very tasty as was my wife's meal.

We use this place a lot when we stay in Woodhall but usually phone the order in and then have a drink in the Mall as the waiting time can be an hour but worth it and the Mall is the best bar in town, food very good

everything is 100% thats all i can say food is the best , the staff are friendly it is always hot and fresh, you can order anything that you wish and if they have it they will do it for you, i cannot fault it in any way. always 100% every takeaway, i never use anyone else the portions and really large

5* for Golden Phoenix, great family takeway while staying at Tattershall Lakes, easy to order over the phone and picked the food up within 10 minutes. Would highly recommend this chinese.

We have used this takeaway for the ten years we've lived here as have many of our local friends. In all that time we've had only one disappointing meal (and we've had 50+ !!) and mentioning it was met with apologies and the next meal free. Other than this one occasion, the food has always been hot delicious and the envy of our visiting friends when we have shared it. Sometimes you do have to wait a little, but its well worth it!!Looking forward to our next one!!(Not to be confused with the Golden Dragon Restaurant who also do takeaway, but we only use them when we the Golden Phoenix is closed!!)
