Golden Jade in Lancaster

Amazing food, we have ordered from here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. I've not been into the restaurant so I do not know what the atmosphere is like, but when I ring up to place our order the staff have always been nothing but lovely.

Got a take out. They gave us wrong meals and took over 45 minutes to get the food. The food was quite nice though but irritated we got the incorrect dishes as one of the dishes no one in our family enjoyed. So waste of money.

We have gotten the takeaway from Golden Jade many times but it just came to me that I should leave a review. Their food is quite authentic and obviously very good, we have been loyal customers over the years. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I honestly can't ask for more! Thank you Golden Jade!

Starters good and very hot. Main courses mediocre not hot enough and fried rice stodgy. The restaurant was very cold. Our last visit was really good but a disappointing visit this time

Best Singapore noodles in Lancaster and the rest of the food was delicious too, definitely a favourite Chinese with lovely staff.

Absolutely incredible food and service. They took a large booking of 30 people on last minute and were so patient and professional with us all. They were rushing around trying to make sure everything was right, I would go back and absolutely recommend going and spending your money at this restaurant because I’m actually touched by how well they dealt with a very chaotic group of people

If you haven't tried here... You need to try here! I love Chinese food + wow I was blown away with the food here... Service was spot on! Staff are lovely! 10/10 for everything.... Portion sizes was enough to feed 2-3 people. Highly recommended + you will not be disappointed when you try it. Unfortunately my phone didn't eat first the food smelt + looked that good so I didn't get any pictures. If you like beef in black bean this is a must try at this place absolutely delicious.

Found this wee nugget of a place when in Lancaster on business. 2 off us ate very well. Hot soup was HOT and delicious Spring rolls excellent. Crispy chicken with rice polished off Chicken curry with rice. BIG portion and just failed to finish. Also a portion of prawn crackers for good measure 2 drinks - Bill £45. Well recommended

Always took take out. Went three times and three times I got sick. When I say I’m disappointed it is an understatement. My friends said it was great I threw up everytime I ate there. Honestly worst experience.

Set meal D Outstanding ribs on the mixed starter Scezuhan pork with the best subtle flavour I've had in many years. Not too spicy. Neither sweet or sour. Mushroom duck perfection Stunning flavours. Spotless restaurant. So quiet with a busy takeaway. Unlike many restaurants today, you wouldn't know they were; such little fuss. Stunning service and a lovely pint or two of Porretti You definitely should try yourself.

Good portions and tasty. I've had the wontons which are well filled and taste great. The sweet and sour chicken is as you'd expect. Salt and pepper chicken. You get plenty. Nice and garlicky and tender chicken. Egg fried rice is nice. Not tasteless like a lot of the takeaways And this is a very well priced takeaway. Cheaper than most in Lancaster. Not on delivery apps but I think they deliver if you ring.

Great food and lovely staff. Atmosphere is a bit lacking with bright lighting and no background music.

I've both eaten in and taken away from here and every time it has been amazing, it's my favourite Chinese restaurant in Lancaster. The menu is huge, including delicious vegan meals such as tofu and mock chicken, duck and beef which are all very convincing alternatives. Food is always fresh and you get much bigger portions for your money than most other takeaways. Everything is absolutely delicious and the staff are lovely. Takeaways always arrive in good time.

Absolutely great food. Staff friendly and attentive. Husbands birthday celebration with family. Not your typical decorations but clean and fresh without being fussy and all red as usual. Did I say food great will definitely go again

If you’re looking for good Chinese food Golden Jade is a great option. My family and I really enjoy our meals, especially the prawn lo mein. The only thing I’d improve is the aesthetic, U I think it could be more modern and better looking. Also would be nice to expand the spacing if possible. We recently dined at this fantastic restaurant for the second time and had a delightful experience. The Singapore chow mein was a burst of flavors with perfectly cooked noodles and an array of fresh vegetables, infused with the signature blend of spices that gave it an authentic Singaporean taste. The Singapore fried rice was equally exceptional, with a medley of ingredients perfectly balanced for a satisfying meal. The chicken with Thai chili sauce was a standout - succulent chicken coated in a tangy and mildly spicy Thai chili sauce that added an extra zing to the dish. The ambiance and service were commendable, making it a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning for more of their delectable offerings!

Very good service with friendly staff. Food is very average; i ordered kung po chicken which was just sinking in a very sweet sauce. If you love it you will like it, but it kills all possible taste. Fried rice was fine. My partner ordered szechuan chicken which was not bad.

I love this restaurant. The food is lovely and the staff are friendly. My partner and I have been a couple of times after work and it's a real treat. They have fantastic options for vegans, which few places do. We will be coming back for my birthday night out, for sure!

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and indulging in their delectable dishes. The Singapore Chow Mein was a delightful blend of flavors, with the perfect balance of spice and texture. The egg fried rice was a comforting accompaniment, cooked to perfection with a wonderful mix of ingredients. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the chicken with Stacy sauce – a symphony of succulent chicken paired with the rich and flavorful Stacy sauce that left me craving for more. Superb Chinese food. We had our Christmas staff meal at Golden Jade and all the food was superb! Every thing we ordered was delicious and tasted very fresh. The customer service was great, very polite, attentive and courteous staff. There are far to many bad Chinese takeaways in and around Lancaster, however I will not hesitate to re-visit Golden Jade and use them for takeaways in the future as well. Highly recommended!

I had my first golden jade takeaway last night. It was gorgeous none greasy very tasty cooked to perfection and delivered on time. Great value as large portions. Highlrecommended

Delicious Chinese food, with really friendly service over the phone. Ordered a takeaway ahead of when I needed it, requested a delivery time, and it arrived almost bang on time!Large meal for 5 of us, including vegetarian and vegan dishes, and they were all absolutely delicious. Sometimes Chinese takeaways can be a bit greasy and/pr leave you feeling a bit v bloated, but neither is the case with Golden Jade.Highly recommended.

This was our first takeaway from here. It was very nice and we will be returning again! We had the singapore vermicelli, pork dumplings, crispy beef with chilli and the vegetable spring rolls.

I had a delivery of a takeaway last SATERDAY I've had a bad tummy from 2 hours later, I was woken up in pain and fealing sick, had to run to sink! NOT PLEASED STILL SUFFERING NOW. Tue 6th.I was ill after the last order 2 weeks ago! Lesson Learned! The hard way! I"ll Avoid this place for ever! Less * if there was a ratting lower than 1* like - 10 they'd get it!

Cost more than most chinese restaurants in Asia, quality not even close, but locals are none the wiser. If you've had real chinese food you will be surely dissapointed, if you've never been to Asia, you might think it's one of the better Chinese restaurants.

My uni flatmates and I have been getting takeaways from Golden Jade for two years now, and we've never been disappointed. We decided to treat ourselves and go for a meal after we saw the All You Can Eat buffet offer. Booking a table was simple, and we were greeted warmly and offered a drink and prawn crackers as soon as we arrived. We could order up to 5 dishes at a time, the food was served freshly cooked and tasted amazing! The service and atmosphere was great and the price (£16.90 each) was definitely worth it. We recommend the salt and pepper chicken wings and the roast duck in plum sauce. We'll definitely be back again!

I once wanted a Chinese for tea. So I went here. They sold me Chinese food. Score.

Visited her with my girlfriend and her mum for my Girlfriend's 21st birthday. They'd both visited plenty of times before and they both agreed it was the best Chinese restaurant they'd ever visited. We'd tried to visit before without a reservation and there were no tables available. We booked this time but were told we could only have the table for 2 hours so it's clearly a very popular and in demand restaurant. The service was quite rushed but no more than is common in most Chinese restaurants. I'd definitley reccomend you book before turning up as everyone who turned up without a reservation was also turned away.My review however is based purely on the food which was absolutely exceptional. We all ordered thebuffet which doesn't work as in most Chinese buffets where you help yourself to ewhatever food you like. You're allowed to order 5 plates from the menu to come to the table and once those plates are cleared you;re allowed to order more. This system definitley works, the food was absolutely exceptional. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and fresh. The satay was the best I'd ever eaten and all the meat was tender. It's a shame I'm not in Lancaster more because I would definitley visit this place more often if I could. The best Chinese food you could eat.

The meal you get when ordered by a Chinese person is different when your Enhlish girlfriend orders.

Went with my husband to this restaurant on recommendation of hotel we were staying the night in.Looks quite small but seats a fair number of people and for a Monday night quite busy.You can choose between normal ordering off the menu or all you can eat for a certain set price - buffet style but not laid out. Choose on menu max of 5 dishes at a time but as many times and variety as you want. All food very reasonably priced.Service was quick, very friendly and polite.Food was piping hot and although we've eaten so many chinese meals both here and abroad it has to be the best we have ever tasted.All in all it was like eating in a friend's house who has lovely taste in decor and a cordon bleu chef to do their cooking. Will definitely be back if we're down that way again.

Jaunt into Lancaster for drinks and a bite too eat , flying vist from Daughter and Son in Law from IOM. Met up in Lancaster with Son & daughter in Law. 6 of us headed out, we had not booked a table anywhere and came accross the Golden Jade Chinese Restaurant. It is only a tiny spot and was full, we were in luck as a table of 6 were just about to leave. We were seated, drinks order taken and Menu`s handed around. 4 of our party decieded on a mix and match each chose a dish, one of the party a Veggie and an one plain diner. Order taken and we were happy to chat and catch up. The food did take time to be served, we had aplogies for having to wait, it wasnt a problem. Food served everybody happy, we had a very relaxed meal and all agreed the food and the service was excellent. it all worked out around £14 ahead drinks & Tip included . Very Happy to promote the Golden Jade without hesitation well worth a visit.

Went to this restaurant by accident after mixing the name up with another. Really glad we did food was very good and excellent service. It is quite small and even on a Tuesday night was full but it would be worth booking. All our dishes were served piping hot and tasted very fresh. Best chicken kung po I've had.

We opted for the all you can eat buffet unfortunately didn’t enjoy the food because every dish was so salty. We had to drink plenty of water which made us full so didn’t eat very much food which made the buffet expensive. We won’t be back.

The Golden Jade came highly recommended by any with experience so the bar was set pretty high upon arrival..The restaurant is tiny but despite the fact that 9 of us took up a good portion of the place, the lovely staff were great at ensuring it didn’t disrupt any of the other diners..As all of us were eager to try the £15.90 all you can eat we were quick to order as much as they would allow! And were pleasantly surprised to see the food in front of us in minutes :)They were super accommodating with my vegan needs and allowed me to pick dishes from the list of veggie options on the main menu despite them not being listed on the ‘all you can eat menu’ :) Happily, all 7 dishes were phenomenal.. especially the Satay Mixed Vegetables and Vegetables in Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce! The Beancurd was also particularly juicy :)I know I can speak for the all of us when I say we shall certainly be back for another round of Man V Golden Jade!

This place is fab; generous portions and good meal deals make it excellent value for money. Crispy duck is really good! Crispy spicy prawns were delicious. All-you-can-eat buffet runs most days. Well worth a visit!

I have had to eat in and have had take outs. One thing was consistent - the food you get is A LOT. 😁. No wonder there is usually a wait. Staff here are extremely courteous & polite and the food, excellent with a short wait time. The large variety of meals are very well made, nicely spiced and are pocket friendly too. If you are within Lancaster City Centre, Golden Jade is your go to place for excellent Chinese cuisine!

Went here last night. There are 2 different menus there is normal menu which also has set menu which is good value for money. We had the buffet menu where you can order upto 5 dishes per table at a time. The food was excellent quality and really tasty with excellent service. We will definitely be back.

Really good Chinese food - plum duck is the best I’ve had. Service is often incredibly slow for the takeaway though.

I would always recommend to book just because they are always busy with takeaways and the restaurant is quite small.

Can honestly say this was the best Chinese I've ever experienced. We had the all you can eat menu, most places cut the portion size down but they were huge here, really fresh and lots of garlic on the salt and pepper dishes!
