Food was excellent, more than enough in a portion and very tasty. We were staying at Mellington Hall caravan park which is only 2 miles away.

Brilliant take away . Served hot and stayed hot after a 15 min drive . Will certainly recommend and will be returning Z

Found this place whilst on holiday on a Sunday evening, having found out everywhere else in the surrounding 10 miles either closed or so don't serve food at this time! Couldn't be happier, big open car park when we arrived, cash or bank transfer/PayPal payment accepted, great menu choice, big portion sizes and great tasty food. Had a nice chat to our server whilst we waited the 10 minutes or so for our food to be prepared. Will be happy to return and reassuring to know there is a good option when everywhere else is closed!

Ten out of ten. AMAZING FOOD Stayed nearby in a Sykes cottage and was recommended to try this place. It was so good that we ate from here twice in 5 nights. Lovely food and great service. Everything was literally spot on. Many thanks to the owners and team.

We have a caravan nearby and have passed The Golden Fish many times to/from Church Stoke shopping centre. Based on other reviews we decided to give it a go tonight and very pleased we did. I called in placed our order of Crispy Beef in Peking Sauce, Special Satay, Yeung Chow fried rice & portion of chips. Im personally not a fan of bamboo shoots or water chestnuts so not being familiar with their meals I asked if the satay contained any. The lady advised there was bamboo shoots in my meal so scrolled through the computer where our order was logged to remove the item, very thorough system so if you have food allergies etc. rest assured and there are signs throughout the very clean, well presented reception. Plenty of people were calling in on foot, by car so for our first visit this to me seemed a good sign. I may seem too thorough on this review but bear in mind this is a popular tourist area plus if you're ever unsure of a takeaway you tend to stick to what you know so we decided not to. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals and will definitely go back. Thank you. Cash only.

Picked up a take away from here after driving past if for the last 5 years and all I can say is we should have popped in sooner. Polite friendly service and the beeper system they have to allow you to wait in the car if your order is not ready is a nice touch as it prevents a build up of people inside the reception/till area. Food was delicious. Every item we ordered was perfect and came in good portion sizes. Definitely will be going back in the near future.

This was our second takeaway from the Golden Fish since January and once again we were pleased. Unfortunately one of the items ordered was missing the first time so on our second visit we checked the order before leaving and it was all correct. We ordered for 6 people both times with quite a variety and everyone was impressed. We will definitely return. Just a tip, Order in advance as it does get very busy and some time slots are unavailable

Tasty food, generous portions and good value. We are only here on holiday but were very impressed by this takeaway (it's cash only do bear that in mind). If you are in the area don't hesitate to try it. Ample parking also available.

Just love this Chinese. Been going there for years. They have the best Deep Fried Crispy Beef. Consistently good quality and great choice on the menu. Highly recommend.

We were visiting friends who had rented a cottage in Churchstoke and ordered a takeaway. The food was ready in no time & wonderfully tasty. Crispy fried beef, beef with spring onions, rice & ¼ of duck were all excellent. One of best Chinese we've ever eaten.

This by far the best chinese takeaway within 10 miles. Fast efficient service by polite friendly staff. Always a winner with our guests. Sadly no delivery service

Planned to stay overnight at a bed and breakfast local to Powis Castle ready to visit the castle the following morning, while here we fancied a takeaway so we tried the Golden Fish. We ordered Singapore fried rice with a portion of spring rolls to share. Rice was lovely with small pieces of chicken pork and small prawns. The food was hot with a lovely amount of spice too and a Singapore dish should be. The spring rolls were delicious too, fresh and hot. Definitely one to try 😊

I had Crispy Chicken Satay, which tasted nothing like satay at all and I was quite ill soon after eating about a quarter of it. Avoid.

As we arrive for a weekend in our tourer we always stop in Montgomery for a fish and chip tea. Lovely food average price place is very clean service is good. Best fish and chips after a short drive to our tourer

Vulgar, chicken balls pink in the middle and swimming in grease, black bean sauce like water with fat swimming in it, chips dried up and full of black. Nearly all went in the bin! There's a reason this restaurant isn't on trip advisor! I personally will never have from here again. Poor! Poor! Poor!
