Waited over 2 hours for food. Driver adamant he was on the right street. Driver had entered the wrong postcode into sat nav, rude and obnoxious driver refusing to accept he was in the wrong location. No offer of refund not a single apology from the shop. Food still hasn’t arrive after 2.5.hrs

A++++ food great fresh fresh the go to Chinese

Beautiful food, fish and chips and their Chinese, but the place could do with a bit of making it look a bit more inviting needs a bit of decorating

Meal for 2 perfect almost two day worth

Friendly and fast, but unfortunately the food was not flavourful at all. The dishes did not match quality of other takeaways I’ve had and left me feeling dodgy.

We dont order dood delivery very often thankfully. But this place didn't even have the decency to inform us that the food would be delivered over one hour later than stated! When we called to find out when it would arrive we were fobbed off saying 25 minutes... 45 minutes later still waiting...60 minutes later still waiting. Ordered pretty early on a Saturday as we know how busy takeaways get later on in the evening. Can't comment on the food as we're still waiting....

We discovered this f & c shop on route. The chips and sausage were made fresh and tasty.

Been searching for a good Chinese Takeaway since moving into Steyning. Tried a few different takeaways in the area but their curry's wern't any good. BUT the beef curry from Golden Fish was FANTASTIC! So was the chicken and sweetcorn soup and egg fried rice. I also bought a beef curry from the one a minute down the road 'Lancing Oriental Express', more expensive and it was horrible! Golden Fish, you are my new 'local' Chinese, I'll defo drive from Steyning each time! :)

Hot and tasty food, good portions. My only gripe is the chow mein noodles were more like spaghetti and rather plain, would prefer slightly more crispy but this is being picky.. Still good the rest was good so will be back! Great service.

Great menu, food is always piping hot and tasty.

We live out the area now so don't often visit, but being a Monday, our usual places were closed, and we were close to Golden Fish. Took advantage of their Monday and Wednesday deal, very nice food and good value. We were fed well and full, 4 dishes for £17.90.

Foods ok I have chicken chow main amd found it very greasy a lot of oil left in the bottom of the container fish and chips were OK.

Staff sat watching TV eating spring rolls when I arrived. Didn't stop eating or wash his hands whilst preparing my chips. Never heard of cross contamination or personal hygiene obviously.

I have no idea why I can't leave my review on uber eats, buy even of later delivery was worth to wait food was amazing. Thank you and order again

Always good haddock and chips, always good serving sizes. Added note: sadly, a visit some months later, the haddock batter was very disappointing and the fish inside was barely cooked, and small quantity - could not finish it due to unpleasant taste and texture. Hopefully this was a bad night, but I won't be going back.

They're okay. Everything is about as standard as local Chinese and chip shop food gets, but the price is good, food is quick, large portions and they usually get the order right 👍

We order at least once a week (most weeks). Use their own delivery service. Brilliant service, all food well cooked.

Appaulling service. I ordered a home delivery for 17:55 to be informed it would arrive by 20:10. It had not arrived by 20:20 so when I eventually got through on telephone, I was informed it would be another 20 to 30 minutes. Wholly unaçceptable, incompetent and inefficient. If they can't cope with the demand, they need to address the problem. I cancelled my order and will not be using them again.

Quite typical for a Chinese/fish and chip takeaway. Rather large menu with sightly higher then expected prices. Serving times can also be incredibly slow.

Went to pick up my food and the delivery driver comes in and asks whose car is parked up, I said it’s mine and he says ‘move it’ I said ‘excuse me’ he said ‘that’s where I park’ being so rude in to what I reply ‘and how would I know that’ and he carries on mumbling under his breath being so rude and then he moved his car right behind mine basically touching all why the boy behind the counter said nothing and allowed his driver to speak to a customer like actual shi* Will never use this restaurant again! Also this isn’t even a parking space I was on the curb on the grass, awful awful awful!

Simply put. - Ordered via Just Eat - Waited over an hour - Called them directly - Said they tried to deliver but no answer at our house ...total lies as sat in lounge, windows overlooking the driveway, next to ththe front door waiting. No knocks on the door nor door bell rang. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.....do yourself a favour and go elsewhere!

Food arrived early, it was hot and extremely tasty. Will definitely order from them in the future.

I ordered huss and chips, well the chips were uneadable, must of been reheated. More crisp than a pack of walkers! Huss was ok. My gf ordered special fried rice, salt and pepper sqid and king prawn balls, sqid was soggy and the rest very tasteless. We spent good earnt money for this and very unhappy, to charge delivery and card charge is a joke! Oh and where was the free bottle of coke when you spend over £20! Won't be coming back!!

Food arrived two hours after I'd ordered it and wasn't even hungry by the time it arrived so wasted £30 on a meal that was pointless.

getting expensive good food but shocking service. despite knowing they were not going to deliver there was no contact from the takeaway informing me of such. unapologetic and seemed to imply lack of delivery drivers not their fault or issue to resolve. due to their attitude & cost this is the last time they get my business

Great food and great service. Never been let down yet. Have found it easier to order over the phone than use online apps. Free delivery over £10.00 and always receives free crackers and a bottle of drink. Crispy chicken is a must.

Nice food , shame that the fillet steak was not spicy and a bit chewy. But overall a nice meal.

We ordered through Just eat while staying with family, We ordered Sweet and sour pork balls, and sweet and sour chicken balls, The chicken ones were fine, maybe lacking in a little taste, but tbh I have had worse. The pork balls on the other hand were nasty and cheap sausage meat. No-where does it say that you are serving pork sausage meat balls. the rest of the food was ok but I'm really sorry but we wont be ordering again

AMAZING!! Order from them at least once a week, quality food, fast reliable delivery. Staff friendly great for Chinese or just fish and chips. Honk Kong style sweet and sour pork or chicken is highly recommended!!

Chinese delivery was still hot, which was great. Some of the dishes were good, especially the chicken balls & the kung po! Unfortunately the chicken satay was not really edible, rock solid & no discernible peanuts, but otherwise meal was alright :)

Absolutley disgusting! we used to always have our chineese from here but we had a few bad orders so stopped buying it there, we thought as it had been quite a while we would try them again but really wished we hadnt! most of the food tasteless chips were over cooked and only sent a small portion instead of medium, porks ball were seriously over cooked and just a crispy shell then we realised that it wasnt even real pork it was processed pork that looked like dog food, i cpould honestly go on and pick a bad point on each of the dishes we chose but instead i will just warn you not to have high or even medium expectations of this place and we will never order from there again, what a serious waste of money for us that was ment to be a treat for the family as takeaways are once in a long while for us! Totally dissapointed and still hungry!

I use to really dislike everything on the menu here and delivery times were very slow In the last two months it had been a complete reversal i have loved everything that i have ordered and it has arrived on time if not before. I dont know what has changed but i would now recommend this place to everyone the quality and flavor of the food is incredible 10/10

Food delivered late and it was cold. Claimed I had not ordered from them until I gave the Just Eat order number. Not impressed.

The food was great but the food was delivery over an hour later than expected. When we called after half an hours delay, we were told they were busy and it was would be 20 minutes. It was closer to 40 minutes. Great food but don't order if you have plans.

Ordered at 6.20pm food didn't arrive till 8.35 was okay food nothing special normally everything is amazing feeling very disappointed this time round but will continue to use

Fully expected the food will be a little delayed as it's Friday night however waiting nearly two hours is a joke considering the charge of £1.50 for delivery being only 6 minutes away is kinda ironic. On the plus he was a nice guy.

Don't order from here. After waiting for an hour and 20 mins, I called the restaurant to find out what was going on, and the guy said "it's on its way" but couldn't give me a time and was very vague about how long ago the driver left. Didn't seem at all bothered that it had taken so long. Absolutely shocking service. The food was not of a good standard when it eventually arrived!

The restaurant took an extra hour and a half to deliver the food, I called them and they simply said they couldn't do anything about it. The food was decent overall however was quite oily.

Good value special offer. Very promptly delivered and tasty as usual.

We have fish and chips from here often. They are in my opinion the best chips in the area and the haddock is lovely.

Food said it would be delivered at 20:45. Food did not arrive until 21:20. No explanation or apology.

I forgot that I was never going to order from here again as it was the same old story. An hour and a half after placing the order you give them a call to see where the food is and they say it is leaving in 5 minutes. Funny how it always 5 minutes away! Food is lovely which usually makes me forgot to make the review!

Lovely food still hot when it got to us and we're about 3 miles away would definitely recommend and this has become my favourite chinese.. I've not Eaton at the restaurant

Appalling and disgusting. Chicken satay over cooked and dry as a bone topped with the most pathetic excuse for Satay sauce I have ever seen in my life it's basically yellow water. I ordered stir fried mixed vegetables what arrived was a box of bean sprouts and water chestnuts in the shade of beige, no pepper, no corn, no carrot. It literally looks the bits left in the bottom of a washing up bowl. Vile won tons, dry and flavourless chow mein. The nicest thing about the meal was the spring rolls and they are clearly bought in frozen. What angers me is not only the late delivery but that I spent my hard earned money on this slop. Overpriced and gross. I wish I went down to the supermarket and bought a Chinese ready meal becuause it would of tasted of something and been much cheaper!!! I'm so disappointed and I highly recommend visiting another Chinese takeaway and steering clear of this one. Anyone got any recommendations?
