This is my local Chinese take away...and I am very happy. Very good and fresh quality, plenty of it. I love the veggy rolls, the best actually I have had in Wrexham area. The lovely lady always has a smile and she already knows what I want.... vermicelli Singapore.😉. It is very popular in Gresford.

Good service, massive portions, only draw back is you have to pay by cash, not everyone has cash these days but apart from that I will be ready next time.

Just rang up to place an order and woman that answered told me hang on a minute then put the phone to one side then after a few minutes told me she was too busy to take my order and to ring back in 15 minutes. No love, I won't be ringing back ever again. That's a regular customer you have lost today.

Long queues due to covid. Sometimes hard to get through on the phone. However, the portions are massive, food is always nice. Our regular for Chinese food.

We order from Golden City regularly and the food is always tasty with generous portion sizes. The lady behind the counter is so hardworking and always friendly. Best local Chinese takeaway.

When you walk in a very pleasing smile from the little princess greets you. A full range of good quality food is on the menu. Great prices great food what more do you want. Well done all at Golden City.

I am never one to complain about food as I’ll pretty much eat anything but some of the food I’ve just had from Golden City was appalling. We ordered salt and pepper chips which seemed to be chip shop chips and double, triple and quadruple cooked! With a few peppers thrown in. We also had salt and pepper chicken. Again overcooked and just tasted way too salty. Appreciate they are salt and pepper chicken but all you could taste was salt. I’ve never had this problem ordering from other take aways.Meat spring rolls were ok. Egg fried rice tasted fine. But the above spoilt the meal. Can’t comment on the other food available. Could be fine but I wouldn’t chance going again. Super disappointed.

This is our fave Chinese takeaway in the area. Their mixed starter is really good value with a generous portion to share. I had a mixed meat chow mien for the main course and it's good size pieces of real meat rather than what can only be described as pizza topping at it's best from other Chinese establishments in the surrounding area. Great food and value, thank you!

The best Chinese food I have ever had, especially good for a takeaway that also does English meals. Duck fried rice is one I have never seen before and it’s lovely along with all other dishes!! Highly recommend this takeaway!

The first Worst Chinese I ever had was this place 3 years ago. This new experience gives no satisfaction. They obviously don't learn!The Spare Ribs were absolutely disgusting, not whole ribs but butchers' pork scraps, the sauce was like nothing that I've ever tasted in a Chinese or else where. The prawns and veg in black pepper sauce was more like a foul tasting soup. Shouldn't get sick they have a good Food Safety score!DO NOT USE THIS TAKE AWAY

Best Chinese in Wrexham don't wait long for food

The first Chinese take away in 20 years I’ve had to throw in the bin. The first time I visited here it was awful and 2 years later thought I’d give it another go but if anything it’s gone worse. The Cantonese steak was so tough it had to go in the bin. Not often I feel completely ripped off but I’d never go back.

Got my order wrong..... Again. Dont know if its the accent or they just dont listen to what your asking for. They tell you whats in the bag when you pick it up but when you get home its not what you asked for.

Just had beef and mushrooms with salt and pepper chips from here and they were amazing. We always go for chicken dishes but decided on beef for a change. The portions were lovely and big, one portion was plenty for both my husband and me. Will certainly be back and try other dishes. Congratulations Golden City.

Clean place nice staff... food is pretty bad tho.. thick frozen chips...the rice is stodgey an tasteless an chicken curry is chip shop spicy curry with overcooked chicken... not worse place but overpriced for quality

Just wanted a Chinese takeaway for myself. Reviewed it in November 2016, and NOTHING has changed since then.

Tried this Chinese takeaway again , after not going there for six months ( because the food , in my opinion , was of a very poor quality ). I wish I hadn't bothered , as the food is still very much under par. I had a noodle dish , and the noodles were still crunchy and uncooked. The mixed meats in the dish were in a very bland sauce. Very disappointed , and most of the meal ended up in the bin. Needless to say , I will not be trying it again.

An average Chinese takeaway, with the usual menu. Dishes tend to be very salty, so ask for less to be added. Service usually very swift.

Quality of food is very very poor, many things seem to be dripping in fat or monosodium glutamate. My wife and I have been there twice, the second time hoping things had improved, but the food made us both feel unwell. It is very, very disappointing to say the very least. I would advise people not to go there at all.

Dissapointed with last offering . Special Chow Mein was gluppy with little taste or meat . When first opened under new ownership, although considerably dearer than its competitors ,the food was top quality- standards have certainly dropped .
