Golden Buddha in Cambridge

In my opinion, it is one of the best Chinese meals I've had in a very long time...Thank you

Terrible food inedible. Don’t waste your time or money. Ordered at 6pm only arrived at 8:30pm calling them twice and escalating through just eat. Is 5-10 min drive from my house Food was luke warm, black bean sauce was like dish water with no flavour. Egg fried rice had more salt than a glass of sea water burnt my tongue. Was inedible l. Threw it in the bin and had a bowl of cereal. Easily the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had and I only had to wait 2 1/2 hours for delivery and pay £35 for it. Piss takers.

£36 for a meal we were unable to eat .crispy shredded beef was not crispy at all it was really chewy and the coating around it soft with a mushy texture and unable to eat .my daughter who is disabled said the curry sauce tasted like angel delight and really thick in texture.The chips were cold and floppy no Crisp to them at all and tasted Rotten I feel totally ripped off and will not be using this excuse for a Chinese take away again.

Ordered from here a few times. Always very delicious, always friendly delivery and good prices. Also good customer service.

I can't even say our food was average. None of the dishes we ordered were nice, our delivery has ended up in the bin, complete waste of money!!!!

Overall very disappointed with the food. Spoke to member of staff by telephone to complete delivery, because he couldn’t find the food on his menu, was questioning me about the number and that “people” don’t order this type of food! Now I know why. Presented well but the food was bland. Ordered spicy food and had some green chilli in it test was ni taste what so ever. Udon noodles were on a thick sauce and not really sure what it tasted if, maybe strong soy sauce but not nice. Will not be ordering from here again was so disappointed and a waste of money as it was not cheap!!

Placed an order online late Christmas Eve, weren’t many options in the area. Drove past a Sri lanken street food van on the way and wished I had seen it first before paying online with my card as looked way better! Having read a few previous reviews a lot of people are saying the food is too salty and I have to agree all I could taste was salt. Pretty much the worst Chinese I have eaten in a long while as usually do my homework before going but this was a rush job after a cinema trip. Disappointed 👎

Hot and tasty - cooked to order but quickly - the chicken and sweet corn soup was delicious - really nice meal at a good price

Egg fried rice tasted like it had been boiled in soy, too salty to eat. Thai chicken curry, salty green water on chicken, too salty to eat. Dumpling, gristley and dense. Poor. Never going back.

Used to enjoy going here but lately the food isn't as good as it used to be. Treated the family to a takeaway but the Chinese part of the order did not taste nice or rice the egg friend rice tasted like it had been cooked in a pot with the flavour of the last dish in the pot

Ordered here on Chinese New Year and the food was ready fairly quickly considering its such an in demand day! We really loved the satay noodles which we haven’t tried before and all of our food was great :) the customer service was good too-the young man gave us extra fortune cookies for the special day!

We have just collected a meal from here live 1 mile down the road got home and we had to throw all of the meals that were purchased in the bin as stone cold. Fed better food to the dog really disappointed we will never be returning again. If I could have put less than 1 star then u would have done.

Have ordered before with no issue, but today order at 5.45pm with delivery excepted for 7pm, got to 7.30, still nothing, tried ringing the restaurant many times no answer, finally got through at 8pm to cancel order, food showed up at 8.10pm and i told the driver to turn around and go back, we ordered from somewhere else instead

Great Special Fried Rice and good value

I’ve tried many Chinese takeaways in Cambridge and the Golden Buddha is the best in my opinion. This is a standard British Chinese....I know that there are now many authentic Chinese restaurants in Cambridge and I’m sure they’re good but usually I just want a takeaway with all the usual dishes at a reasonable price. Their food has a far better flavour than a certain other nearby takeaway. I have been using this Chinese for several years and have never had a problem with delivery (I hope I’m not tempting fate by writing this as I’ve just ordered!). The young lad taking the orders is very efficient and always gets my order right even though I tend to make alterations to every dish. The owner usually delivers the food and he’s very friendly.

We had a take away from here. October. The ribs were very dry The chow main was really dry Including the chicken balls and spring rolls! The rice was all stuck together. I’m not a moaner, just wanted an edible meal. Waste of money!

really awful food would not sujest this place to anyone must be the worst in cambrisge in my opinion and i am from Cambridge and 60 years old so I should know

We’ve been using this. takeaway nearly once a week for several years, as the food is tasty and reasonably priced.. BUT I watched a programme recently about hygiene in takeaways, and decided to check its rating from the Food Standards Agency. Turns out it has 2 stars out of 5, so we’re going elsewhere now! The FSA website is easy to use, and shows all the 5 star takeaways in a certain area.

My significant other and I had just come back from a glorious quest. We were slaying dragons in Bolton and needed a nice and filling meal to replenish and rejuvenate us - we knew the dragon forces were closing in on Cambridge and we did not have much time. We collected from Golden Buddha and found that they were right on time. The food was very filling and tasty - exactly what you need for dragon slaying. Have recommended to the rest of the clan.

So delicious. Best I've had. Lucky me, near to my home.

Me and my family get Chinese takeaways every Friday and have tried many places in Cambridge, but we now only order from the Golden Buddha because of its speed and food quality. The man at the till is always kind and the food is ready within minutes! Would recommend to anyone, especially families.

Ordered at 7pm and the food finally arrived at 8:37! Food was barely warm and was really disappointed. Phoned up and they said they could replace the order by 9:15? By this point we were not bothered about the replacement as we had to get to bed by 10 because we had to be up early. No full or even partial refund, really poor customer service and never had this at any takeaway before.

Friendly customer service and food is great. Quite surprised by the negative reviews. Only negative I can think of is their lack of drink varieties.

Poor food, order didn't go through the first time, after 30 mins of waiting I asked where my food was. To which they asked me why I was in there shop when I had previously ordered it. After that I re-ordered my food, then when it came it was undercooked and I asked for onions to which the lady put cucumber and tomato. Complete waste of my time, I then said I didn't want cucumber or tomato and the lady working there went 'if you don't like the food get out'. Very poor never going back.

I go here very often and I think the staff members are extremely nice! The food is amazing here. Many people might say that the rice is stuck together or whatever, but that is how Chinese people eat their food, with chopsticks. They need the rice to be stuck together. If you want more rice they will give with no charge, btw And very cheap according to the portions.

Mi pareja y yo hemos comprado desde aquí unas 6 veces ahora, incluso han probado en otro lugar, en una ocasión, pero han vuelto a este. Excelente servicio, excelente comida, entrega nunca es frío y siempre excelente (así que estoy muy sorprendido por algunas de las críticas negativas..) y un buen precio. De lejos, el mejor que he encontrado y el servicio al cliente es siempre bueno - hasta el muchacho amable poco ayudaba a su familia con la cajas técnicas de aprendizaje!Incluso presentó a visitar amigos y les comente lo que incluso China es un excelente.No bastante que el cinco estrellas, siendo un amante de los rollos de primavera, por desgracia no puedo conseguir yo mismo como su versión que tiene un extraño sabor y demasiado de zanahoria, pero todos los demás platos son fantásticos!

Orders a mixed platter which I realised the chicken wings had a funny Smell to it, was hard and tasted awful like gone off chicken. I spoke to customer service who told me if I didn't like the food then not to order from them.

Esta es mi comida para llevar China local y hasta ahora estoy muy contento con él.Es cierto que a veces la entrega es bastante lento, pero tienen la entrega gratuita de u 2 millas de distancia de la tienda, que es bastante bueno.La comida es muy agradable y los precios son razonables.Recomiendo totalmente!

Llamado 30 minutos después me dijeron que la comida fuimos a nosotros hace 30 minutos. Comida al final llegamos 1 horas frías de piedra y 20 minutos después pedidos. El tiempo era sólo un niño por teléfono tratar con nosotros. Sin reducción o reembolso. Y ni disculpas por la comida fría o una duración de tiempo que tardamos en domicilio. No me volvería a este hotel.

Firstly flatly refused to substitute one sauce for another despite them coming in separate containers with the meal anyway, and it being a substitution I usually make when getting a Chinese with no problem anywhere else, really young kid working behind the counter at a late hour on a Sunday, food greasy and not very tasty. Won't go back.

For the price you have very good portions. Food is good and service is fast. Moreover, staff is very nice and does't hesitate to give some fruits.

El restaurante en esta dirección es en realidad llamada "Nueva del Buda dorado" - ver cargada de fotos. Hoy en día, tuvimos "fideos de arroz frito con salteado con carne, vegetales mixtos y salsa negra conservada de granos" como nuestra un refresco por la tarde (nuestro almuerzo en la salida de la autopista estación de servicio era horrible). Estaba delicioso con buen sabor, y la carne tierna. No nos costó sólo GBP5.10.

The worst chinese food I have ever tasted. My singapore noodles and sweet and sour chicken balls were overcooked and tasted weird. Will not be using this chinese again.
