Gold Lion Chinese Takeaway in Gwynedd

If only I could give a zero rating. Tasteless overcooked and like others have said almost like food has been sitting all day and heated up. Salt and pepper chicken was rock hard- chow main and rice ( both specials) tasteless and god only knows what they cook the chips in and how old potatoes are. It has a 2 rating ( must have been a good day!) and genuinely the worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten

Absolutely terrible food, chips wasn’t even cooked, rice, noodles and curry was cold, phoned and complained told me to go back so I’ve gone back wouldn’t even give me a 5p bag, wouldn’t recommend this takeaway to anybody , wouldn’t even give the left overs to my dog , my mrs daughter feels sick, rather eat cat food than food from there

This has to be the worst takeaway I have ever had. The food was awful and tasteless. The chips looked like they had been left over from very early on in the day and had a funny taste to them, we had to throw them away. The beef fried rice and curry sauce wasn’t much better. We have passed this chinese take away whenever we have been on holiday here but would never go there again. Totally un-eatable and a waste of money. Stale dry bread at home would have been more suitable, at least you know what you are getting.

Worst Chinese ive ever had satay sauce tatsed of nothing no spice or peanut had evee seen that dish, giant spring role looked like a soggy burito and was filled with a pack of bean sprouts and nothing else would seriously avoid there low prices got me in but I can see why theee prices are so low as there quality of food is disgusting

Great Singapore chow mein, best around, spring rolls are brilliant. Now my regular.... l I finally found a reliable Chinese take away....

Had a takeaway from here only chips and curry very poor quality food only ate a small amount as I found a hair wrapped round a chip.

We picked this for its closeness to the Premier Inn where we were staying as nowhere in Caernarfon seems to deliver. The only thing telling you that this was a takeaway is the tired old sign across the front.No advertising, no menu on the outside. The front door leads you into a small room with no decoration, a worn out wooden bench and a tired, dirty menu on its wall. Cobwebs and cracked plaster adds to the ‘ambience’. The portion size was good and the price very reasonable but we soon learnt why. Soggy prawn toast like very greasy fried bread. Extremely bland vegetable chow mein and the weirdest king prawn satay we have ever had - no spiciness - no flavour at all. Very pale pinky orange colour - a mix of canned mushroom soup and ketchup would be fairly close. Cash only - very weird for modern times, especially with Covid around. It’s a shame really - the lady was lovely and the portion sizes were very good but probably the most tasteless takeaway I’ve ever had.

The food was cold and my Chicken was bloody and black and no not burnt ether they buy out of Date food from supermarket how do I know this? Well I was a Casher working in a supermarket and I served them a lot and all they buy is reduced price food that cost them very little money some 10p 20p food and in return they charge £6-7.00 for a so called meals. The place should be closed down and seen rats there. Do not eat at Alexandra Chinese not if you want to live.

We got a takeaway and took it back to our room. I asked for my curry separate so my chips didn't go soggy but it was already poured on however the curry was nice. The chicken chow mein was tasteless and the chicken wasn't mixed in. The small boiled strips of chicken were just placed on top and there wasn't much of it.

Went last night had the chicken & sweetcorn soup, chicken curry fried rice & chicken & sweetcorn & boiled rice lovely as usual well cooked & very tasty, can't fault the place.

Had a takeaway tonight that was microwave reheated/cold and rushed before their closing time. Don't make your children have to eat this stodge.

Nice little Chinese takeaway , food could of had a little more flavour buh apart from that was quite nice

My regular chinese takeaway, lovely friendly staff. The food might not look too special but the taste of it is amazing. I always go for the chicken satay with rice. Beautiful Go try it.

This place smells so dirty when you walk in. So much that I refuse to order. So never ate here. Couldn't risk it.

The ideal takeaway when you feel like a night in front of the telly. Have a pint in the Alex while you wait for it to be freshly cooked.

I have my food from here every Friday night and it's the best takeaway I have ever had, good value as well and always served with a smile

Chips ok ish ...... Sweet and sour balls ok ......... Rice ok ish ............... Would not rush there again ..... Very disappointed ........

Después de trece años me decidí a otra en este aparentemente popular para llevar. Fue el atractivo de sus legendarios grandes rollos de primavera que me llevó . Sin embargo, aunque el rollo de primavera (la comida en sí misma)era increíble el pollo y champiñones con fideos fue muy decepcionante. La carne de pollo le faltaba coherencia las setas fueron harinosos Elementos y seco . En cuanto a la salsa ... Lo que le faltaba el sabor era aguados y parecía mi primer intento de salteados como un chico de la escuela. Decepcionante!

El error de pedir llevar a un desconocido, solía ser un cliente leal de Caernarfon de Lee. La peor comida china jamás en mi 50 años de experiencia, medio cocido, un plato no estaba preparado. Las apariencias no molestó, calidad cuenten. Lo siento, yo no volvería otra vez y restringirnos a Lee's

Después de la publicación india para llevar mi favorita, parece justo decir algo sobre mi llevar chino favorita, la terraza de Alexandra de león de oro en Caernarfon es uno de ellos. No parece mucho de dentro o fuera de hecho pero lo que tienes en tu plato es lo más importante, es necesario darle una oportunidad y no ir a ningún otro sitio. El aparcamiento puede ser un poco difícil

Siempre he elegido para conseguir mi llevar chino desde aquí. no parece en todo tan atractiva desde el exterior, o el interior si te digo la verdad, pero la comida es preciosa y gran valor. Yo nunca me llevar a cualquier otro lugar en Caernarfon siempre que este lugar está abierto.
