Lovely little cafe, nice lady serving. I had a vegan salad box for lunch- it was coconut cauliflour and salad, tabuleh that was very tasty and an eggplant and pomegranate mixture with creamy vegan sauce that was so incredibly delicious. Nice to have a place for a quick lunch in York that does healthy options.Of course, there's plenty of cake and pastry for those that aren't into the salad :)

Wonderful lunch here today. Food was excellent, try tasty and staff friendly and welcoming - will certainly visit again.

Paramos para almorzar en un viaje de un día a la ciudad.Yo como vegano y mi esposo no tiene gluten.Las opciones disponibles en el menú eran increíbles y ambos fuimos por la ensalada tibia de tofu crujiente de anacardos y coco. Fue hermoso.El servicio fue realmente bueno y el personal muy amable.Si desea dejar una propina, es solo en efectivo, ya que no pueden agregarla a la factura del pago con tarjeta.

Visité aquí con mi esposa en un día en York. Ella es intolerante a los lácteos, lo que le avisamos al personal cuando llegamos. Fueron muy serviciales y lo revisaron todo con nosotros. Ambos obtuvimos el falafel con salsa de remolacha. Ambos disfrutamos de nuestras comidas, pero estábamos demasiado llenos para disfrutar de un pastel para después. Lo intentaremos la próxima vez que visitemos.

My daughter and I had the most amazing lunch here, the meals we had tasted divine and we finished with delicious cake and coffee. The service was very quick, efficient and friendly. We would 200% recommend Goji Cafe and we will be visiting regularly 😁

Delicious Vegan cakes which you can either eat inside or take away. We ate inside but service was slow and ambiance was lack-lustre. Would recommend take-away service only.

¡Una de las mejores comidas veganas que hemos tenido! El marido tenía la hamburguesa de hongos, yo tenía una hamburguesa de quinua y nuestro hijo de 4 años tenía un perro caliente de tofu. Estaba delicioso, también una cerveza encantadora y el hecho de que también hubiera opciones sin gluten fue la guinda del pastel.Desde una perspectiva familiar, no había un "menú para niños" y estábamos nerviosos de que nuestro hijo no comiera el hot dog de tofu (nunca antes había comido tofu), pero le encantó :).¡Volveremos en el futuro!

Buscábamos una buena cafetería. Nos topamos con este lugar que tenía pasteles increíbles en la ventana.Mi hijo comió un delicioso pastel de chocolate con una deliciosa salsa de cerezas. También disfrutó de su té del desayuno. A mi esposa también le encantó su taza de té y su tarta de chocolate.Tuve una increíble fuente de Oriente Medio. Falafals encantadores, un hummous casero increíble, chutney de remolacha, un rollo de salchicha de camote que era increíble, una ensalada de hojas mixtas con semillas de granada, un pan plano encantador con semillas de amapola. En general, estaba delicioso.Hacen una variedad de pasteles, otros platos deliciosos vegetarianos y veganos. También hicieron una amplia variedad de tés, refrescos y cervezas embotelladas.Toda la comida se veía increíble.Nos sentamos en el hermoso patio que fue muy relajante. Increíble servicio amable desde un encantador oasis de café en el centro de York.

Some great vegan and GF food available for lunch and a range of tasty loose leaf teas. The vegan cheesecake was particularly delicious. With friendly and helpful staff, we visited both days we were in York. I'd thoroughly recommend this place for a relaxed lunch.

A great selection here, everything looking fresh and tasty. Staff efficient but not majorly welcoming. They didn’t have my preferred choice so went for the bbq quinoa burger which was tasty and filling. Enjoy!

We came across the restaurant and saw they offered picnics for two on our previous day's walk. They had so many nice things on the window and spoke to the staff even though they were closed were very helpful. Next day we went past where we picked our options. Each person gets a quiche or wrap, a tub of salads, a cake, and some falafel. We took some water and carbonated drinks aswell but they also had wine, we were sorely tempted by that but decided against as so hot a day. Headed to the Museum Gardens to enjoy it. Marvelous. Very tasty, clearly freshly made and very tasty. Perfect for the weather. We both chose the Courgette (Zucchini) and Feta quiche. But between us had a mixture of salads. Everything was very nice. Can't fault it and if we are back in York I'm certain to go back. Sorry no pic as I ate it before I thought to take them. Too tasty

We had lunch here and really enjoyed the flavours. The burgers were ace and the quiche was very good too. It's a good venue to go and try some vegetarian food if you've never had it before. Would return to try the rest of the menu !

enjoyed our second visit today, luckily it was a warm sunny day so we sat out in the courtyard which was so nice, I had the vegan Middle Eastern platter for lunch which was honestly the best, so many flavours! oh and a pot of Jasmine flowering fairy tea and some baked halloumi on the side....my partner had the mushroom burger with sweet potato wedges and a Suma organic long wall mouse blonde beer which he loved and he’s usually a meat eater so I think that says so much, really welcoming and friendly customer service too :) will be back and recommend to everyone we know!

We ordered the vegan picnic box and EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM was so yummy. The portions were plentiful and the carrot cake was incredible. Fantastic place and great to see they are adapting following the dreaded C-word.

I love this place. Great vegan cakes and the vegan burger is my favourite! Eating here was one of the best experiences I had in York, and I am going back to eat there again although I live in Norway.

Cannot recommend Goji enough, always have a lovely time. Food is out of the world! Always delicious and of the highest quality, and service is always great! Love escaping the busy city with a coffee here

Went here for brunch, what a find! Great space and very friendly staff. Had coffees - delicious and smoked tofu wrap and vegan gluten free frittata. All very tasty. There's heaps of choice to eat in or take out.

This cafe has a nice relaxed atmosphere. We have visited a few times now and recommend giving it a visit if in York. Have tried the lunch menu and homemade vegan cakes, all of which have been excellent. There is no parking nearby (unless you have a Blue Badge) which is standard for the centre of York, but it's only about a 10 minute walk from the nearest car park.

We came here for coffee and cake. Service was prompt but when asked for scones they did not have any, no flapjacks, no tea cakes. A bit disappointing.Was not very happy when we were asked a couple of times if we wanted anything else, they just wanted the table. So not a place to meet up for coffee with friends a long chat. Coffee was good though

Absolutely adored this place so quaint and homely. Food was stunning and if you don't have time to stay pick up a samosa on your way past they are brilliant a must go for any veggies or vegans visiting York... The team are very welcoming aswell its a great place

They have everything a dairy intolerant person needs and it is all delicious. Vegan cakes, ice creams, brownies, coffee, teas and more! Great stuff too!

It's become a family tradition to go to Goji's for dinner when visiting York. The food is lovely with the portions seemingly larger than our previous visit. Friendly service always and a nice environment to be in. Like most places in York, access can be difficult for people with mobility issues. Dont let that put you off this amazing restaurant. Will be visiting next time I'm in York.

We visited this cafe as the window display looked so tempting. The quiche we saw tasted just as good as it looked and was served with a choice of salads. I tried a delicious aubergine based one and another with butternut squash. The coffee was good and service friendly. This is a very small cafe with a toilet on the second floor so not easily accessible for all.

Popped in for lunch, having heard good things from lots of people about Goji. I wasn't disappointed: We had the middle eastern sharing platter which was excellent. Food was fresh, tasty and varied in range. Excellent range of hot drinks too - I had loose goji tea, none of your teabags here.Friendly and efficient service, and location is good too, right in the City centre. I'll definitely be back!

Had a lovely breakfast here - a nice change from traditional English breakfast. Tea and coffee were good too. Worth a visit.

Well located, very near the minster, as soon as you are through the door someone is greeting you, taking your order or showing you to a table for sit in meals or snacks. Incredibly friendly stafd, very juch on tbe ball. I dropped my knife and, even as I was picking it up, someone was through to ask me if I needed a replacement.

Great place for lunch with plenty of vegan choices. It’s a small space downstairs with quite a few small tables, but we did notice that there are also tables upstairs and it looked comfier somehow. We had the hummus sharing platter with the goji special bread, olives and salads followed by lemon and poppyseed cake - all very tasty.

We visited this restaurant while in York. sadly very disappointing food. Not seasonal apart from soup all other food was cold, we ordered one Middle Eastern and one Indian platter, so we could try two different options but wasn't impressed with either.

We're not vegetarian but we do like good tasty food and were looking for a light lunch that was a bit more imaginative than yet another burger or pizza joint. We found it at Goji. Good savoury tastes thanks to a sensitive use of spices, but it was the fresh herbs and vibrant relishes that made Goji a real cut above. Friendly service and good coffee too.

If you are a Veggie or a Vegan this place is superb. Gluten free options too. Really great menu, brilliant done. Absolutely delicious food.

I've been vegan for 3 years now, and tried (without success)to make a tasty vegan quiche. Well goji have done it 😘 Congratulations...most delicious...I just need the recipe now. Also the cakes were best I've tasted... AMAZING 😋

Every year, myself and family visit York for the Christmas markets and the last two years we’ve eaten at Goji. This year was as good as last, food was delicious and portions bigger than last year. Staff very friendly and attentive. We’ll be back next year! Frittata and sweet potato wedges are wonderful.

Long wait for a table and even longer wait for the food. Daughter didn’t enjoy the hot dog at all. The vegan roast was OK

Disappointed ☹️ disorganised waitressing and delivery of food let this place down. Food inventive but lacked flavour.

I am so used to not being able to get vegan cake in my hometown, only one or two cafes do it, and usually the same cakes, (I should add I am not a vegan but I can’t eat dairy due to digestive problems), so when my husband discovered Goji on TA we thought I should give it a go. Oh my am I pleased we did! There were so many cakes to chose from I ‘had’ to buy several slices to keep in the fridge at my hotel.

Vinimos con la familia cuando nos topamos con el café en Google Maps. Tenía el plato mezz, pero asado y sopa. Todos terminamos compartiéndonos porque todo sabía muy bien. Más tarde compartió pasteles (recomiendo el ganache de chocolate y naranja) y semillas de amapola de limón. Algunas de las mejores comidas que he tenido y realmente el mejor personal. Todos nos fuimos con una gran sonrisa en nuestros rostros y realmente fue una experiencia encantadora. ¡Gracias chicos! Volveremos ???

After moving our daughter into her accommodation we were all pretty tired and hungry. Enticed by the gorgeous aroma coming from this small café, we went in for a late lunch. The fridge display was full of appetising dishes and helped the decision to eat here. The sharing platter was delicious and service was friendly and helpful (slow due to very busy and high demand). We came away saying we will return. She's at York St John's for three years...so...

First visit to Goji and chose a totally vegan meal. Was very impressed with choice and taste. If you haven't tried vegan, give it a go, you'll feel so much better for it. Friendly service, well done.

We weren't necessarily looking lunch, but when we stumbled across Goji and saw the menu (and food in the display) we decided to eat early. Like all cafes in the centre of York during tourist season it was busy and service, as a consequence, was quite slow - though friendly. Our drinks took a good 15 minutes to arrive, for eg.

Ordered the goji vegan hot dog and it was amazing! I loved the flavour - tasted just like I remember frankfurters tasting! Also got the Indian platter to share - the cauliflower was fab. The daal was a bit bland but once some salt was added it was delicious. Tip: don’t leave without getting cake. The lemon and poppyseed cake is to die for!! I’m not usually a fan of cake (vegan or not) as i usually find it dry but this was deliciously flavoursome and moist

Fantastic food that caters for Vegans , Vegetarians and people with Coeliac. Rare to find one place that can meet all our families needs! Lovely friendly staff. Worth travelling to from Leeds every week 👍

This is a wonderful place for a vegetarian meal or snack. It is small however also has some outside tables and tables up stairs.

Found this great place to eat on-line and searched it out after visiting York with friends and family. Arrived at lunchtime without a booking and we were welcomed and ushered to a table upstairs promptly.

My husband and I visit here quite regularly, it is one of our favourite places to eat. The food is always beautifully prepared and cakes are to die for. The service is always prompt and the staff are lovely! A very pleasant place to eat!

I took my friend here for breakfast. She had to catch a train and so we were a bit pressed for time. We were told that our food would take 20 mins as it was cooked fresh. They were true to their word. We both chose vegan options and they were hot, fresh and delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I look forward to introducing more friends to this delightful gem.

Met up with a vegan friend in York and decided to eat at Gogi. We were not disappointed. Plenty of healthy options. Salads were so colourful. Some great cakes too ! Effcient and friendly service.

This was my first visit to Goji. The food was lovely (with some yummy vegan options!) and the staff were very friendly. I’d recommend a visit and can’t wait to go back!

Usually trying to find good vegan meals can be hard but York has some amazing places and the Goji is the one of the best. Great selection of drinks and the food is unbelievable. I'm not vegan, part time vegi at best. But I loved it, so did my wife who is vegan. She said it was one of the best vegan restaurants she'd ever been too. I would book a table just to make sure you get a table.

What a find, eat inside or out in the courtyard. Vegan meals, cakes in abundance. So much to choose from so I ordered a few & my friend & I shared them. Hot chocolate etc. We loved it so much we went back twice. It would have been more but we had to leave to go home. It’s hard to recommend anything as it was all so lovely.

I only used the take-way option, as I was short of time. Took three pieces of cake to share and boy were they good. On my next visit I will queue to eat in!

Vine aquí para almorzar en mi visita a York en busca de algo saludable, y Gogi apareció primero en mi búsqueda. Este lugar era genial, tienen una buena variedad de ensaladas y comidas veganas, así como no veganas, y el menú es bastante extenso. Me gustó su hummus, y las ensaladas eran realmente agradables. Estaba bastante ocupado, ya que había ido a la hora del almuerzo un sábado, pero no tuve que esperar, ya que tienen mesas afuera, abajo y arriba. El servicio fue muy eficiente y el personal es muy amable. Para una comida saludable y muchas opciones veganas, recomiendo Gogi. Los precios son razonables, alrededor de 10 para una comida.

I came here specifically because a lovely bar tender in the nearby pub (Valhalla ) had told us to come here for the dairy free cakes.. THE WHOLE CAKE MENU WAS DAIRY FREE!!!

La variedad de tartas era tan tentadora que tuvimos que regresar más tarde para comprar algunas tartas y no nos decepcionaron. El chocolate cereza y avellana brownie estaba delicioso! Bien vale la pena un viaje si estás en York.

Had stopped several times to look at the window from Goji's and finally decided to get two slices of cake to take away. So many choices! Went for the lemon poppy seed and the pistachio and cardamom, and they did not disappoint. They were definitely the best vegan cakes we have even tried! We will be back and we are looking forward to go there also for lunch.

Had a very good lunch here with a friend yesterday. The staff are great, the tables are comfortable and the music is pleasant and unobtrusive, so you can have a proper conversation. And a glass of wine. They even offered tapwater, which was a nice touch.

We were wooed in by the delicious looking blueberry scones in the window and were not disappointed by the menu options- soup, wraps, salads, veggie burgers and nut roast. The food was gorgeous and very filling. We weren’t sure we could add a scone on the end but made room for one with a cuppa to finish off.

Just wanted to say thank you for the amazing vegan chocolate cake I received for my birthday! It was a lovely surprise from my partner & one of the best vegan cakes I’ve tried. Haven’t been in to eat, but will definitely try soon!

Found by accident. With 2 vegans in our party it was a great find. All the cakes we ate were vegan and delicious. The salads and quiche looked fabulous. They also did take away lunch boxes. Will definitely return.

An excellent place for lunch in the centre of York. Delicious vegetarian and vegan food (that even committed meat eaters will enjoy!) A fantastic section of cakes, desserts, hot drinks, and cold drinks. Friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

Nestled among the beautiful streets of York, Goji really is a gem of a place. They have lots of vegan options and cakes! We had a salad, vegan hot dog, and some coffee and hot chocolate and it was all delicious and reasonably priced. It's such a lovely place to have a rest from exploring the city.

I’d highly recommend this cafe! Although there was a short wait due to popularity it was definitely worth it. We tried a variety of dishes and drinks which were all lovely - also on the day we went all the cakes were vegan which is a bonus.

Went to Goji today for lunch and was astounded by the amount of dishes available that were suitable for vegans. We both had the potato and leek soup which was sooooo good. There were so many cakes suitable for vegans too, but after the soup (which came with huge hunks of brown bread) we didn't have room.

Came to York for a day out with my Brother-in-Law and we came to Goji for a quick lunch before some more exploring. We had the Indian platter and it was so so amazing, really fantastic food and lovely Goji tea. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

The food here is superb but even more so the staff. It's lovely to have great food served with great attitude. Always helpful too above and beyond. Got some great recomendations off this place for other restaurants in town too which was super nice of them. Thank you. x

Made a Christmas Eve trip to York (it’s becoming a tradition) and now el piano is closed we thought we’d try and get in at Goji. Waited a while for a seat but the food is worth it. The vegan quiche was delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals (and pudding). Well recommended! Staff were lovely, professional and in good skirts considering they were having to work Christmas Eve. We’ll be back.

I want to highly recommend Goji as I always enjoy going there when I visit York but recently they supplied the catering for my class reunion at Barley Hall in York and did an amazing job. The quality and variety of the buffet was remarkable with plentiful vegan as well as vegetarian food. The number of cakes to choose from for the buffet made it very difficult to select just four and they all were fully appreciated! Thank you to Goji and I do hope anyone reading my comments will be persuaded to go there as you will not be disappointed. Exceptional fresh, varied and healthy food.

I went today with my husband. We aren't vegetarians, but my husband has Crohn's disease, so vegan cakes are generally the only one he can eat. We were not disappointed, we had the vega. Chocolate and pecan brownie, and I had the stem ginger loaf with coconut cream, both of which were amazing. Staff were very helpful, and good value too. Would definitely go again when visiting York.

First time visiting Goji but certainly won’t be the last! Food and service were amazing, lovely atmosphere. The only problem was as a disabled person, I had to climb two flights of stairs to get a table. That aside, I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Went here twice in two days. Excellent range of vegan and vegetarian food. All freshly prepared and cooked. Very helpful and welcoming staff. Excellent value for money.

I am not a vegan. I am not a vegetarian. Neither is my wife. My wife is very lactose intollerent so she often defines herself as a meat eating vegan.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed eating lunch here and, despite arriving after 2pm, there were still a wide variety of meals to choose from. I decided on the vegan quiche with new potatoes and salad, which was a definite winner! It was very tasty, the flavours really worked well together, and the portion size was just right. Others in my group also had cakes which were delicious and full of flavour. I notice that they also offer a take out menu.

Went for lunch , there were four of us. I did not like the look of anything on the menu "where's the bacon sarnie" but had a roast vegetable frittata which I really enjoyed. My companions all had platters of stuff some of which was nice but they all said they really enjoyed it. We tried the cakes which were very good. I had lemon poppy seed cake was delicious. Good service with a smile.

This little café, strung over three floors in the narrow, rickety Tudor home that is so thoroughly and romantically York, the food in Goji us safe and DELICIOUS!.

The soup of the day, carrot coconut, was delicious, as were the wraps. The Indian Platter was also very good. Service is friendly, but "relaxed", so if that is a problem I would head elsewhere. If good vegetarian food in an interesting building is what you are after, however, this is your spot.

The food, coffee, tea is all superb. I love the wraps, salads and platters. Popped in again for lunch and food as ever excellent. Cafetiere coffee (Java, but there is more choice and of course espresso based and filter) was good quality. This place does get busy - it is popular because it is very good, so service can get a little under pressure but staff are very calm and get things done despite the slightly cramped space and rush. Note the toilets are at the very top - two flights of steep stairs because this is a typical old York property. Enjoy it, I do.

Este lugar estaba muy ocupado. Hicimos cola para una mesa. He estado antes y disfruto el estilo de comida sana y sabrosa. En esta visita, los dos pedimos el combo de sopa y envoltura ya que pensamos que sería rápido. Fue bastante rápido y disfrutamos de la envoltura de brie y arándanos, pero la sopa de puerro era realmente muy insípida. No tan sabroso como las otras comidas que he tenido aquí antes.
