Goat Gap Cafe in Craven

Super friendly cafe, attentive service, tasty food, clean toilets and an amazing view - and very dog-friendly...the owner evening coming round with biscuits for them! Previous comments have mentioned that it was cold - but not for us, it was a very pleasant temperature.

After doing the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and realising that on Tuesdays a lot of places are closed in Ingleton, we looked online for somewhere open. Came across the Goat Gap Cafe. Lovely dog friendly cafe. The menu is for lunch, so sandwiches, toasties, salads etc. We had soup of the day, cheese toastie and a child's meal. Food was well cooked, dogs made very welcome with dog treats and staff very friendly. Would recommend a visit. Only 8 minutes from Ingleton.

Really nice lunch here. At first the prices seemed a bit high but the portion sizes make up for it. Nice pork wrap and special stew too

A meal of two halves. I had a nice coffee and a good toastie. The other two people I was with had buttermilk chicken wrap. Horrible. It was made up of offcuts of roasted or boiled chicken. It wasn't fried- if you order buttermilk chicken or Google it you can see it is supposed to be fried in a batter. Weird dish and really unappetising, with grey chicken and slimy bits of undercooked fat. Odd and maybe an anomaly as the other menu item was great and well presented. It's a nice space and the coffee is good but I'll probably avoid the food next time!

Great breakfast 😋 but the café itself was very cold 🥶 would be much more welcoming if warmer...... Wear your thermals !!!!!!

I've visited Goat Gap Cafe on numerous occasions and not yet been disappointed.

Been here a few times and always had a fantastic experience fast nice fresh food amazing selection of home made cakes (the mince pie slice is out of this world) highly recommend

My first visit to the Goat Gap Cafe - a half-way house fir meeting up with and old friend. It was very busy so obviously popular - service was great too. The menu was quite simple - pleasantly so - the sort of place you could imagine going back to on a regular basis. We were early for lunch and arrived as people were finishing breakfast - can definitely see myself visiting for a full English!

Quick service and bacon and sausage barncake was delicious

Great food and excellent service, staff are friendly and the atmsophere was spot on for a brunch with the baby and puppy.

Fantastic food only thing stopping 5 stars was the toast needs proper bread not mass produced tasteless stuff the rest was absolutely top notch, great service in clean and friendly surroundings.

It is an excellent cafe in a beautiful location. Large car park with disabled access. The food and service were very good. A busy cafe with plenty of seating and takeaway options. Update: Our 2nd visit did not disappoint. We opted for the specials board with homemade giant sausage roll and brie and serrano ham on sourdough bread. The food is excellent, service with a smile and a great location.

One of our favourite stood on our way to the Lakes or Scotland, where you can dine at breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea on home made or locally sourced produce. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, with food at a very reasonable price. Miss this one, miss out !!!

Been wanting to visit this cafe for ages with passing it so often. Tasty cakes on offer, friendly service and the coffee was good. Didn't try any of the menu but they had some pretty special looking sandwiches which I think will tempt me next time...

Having never stopped off here at Goat Gap Cafe we pulled in here after 3 nights stay in Bowness on Windermere.. Friendly staff in this amazing area with scenery that is off the scale.. Enjoyed our cuppa of Yorkshire tea plus delicious homemade fruit scone with scummy butter and jam for hubby... Seemed to be busy always, even had handmade gifts, postcards also birthday cards from local artist... Stop off at this incredible cafe treat !!!

Have the full Yorkshire breakfast. Good value, but would love to have a choice of eggs other than fried. Recommend ordering the additional has browns and sour dough toast.

Had a nice meal here on the way back from walking in the Lake District. Food is great. Plenty of space in the cafe and the carpark.

This cafe is situated on the A65 between clapman and ingeton. It's situated in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a breathtaking sorounding natural landscape. The place is modern and seemed well patronized for a weekday bfast place. Parking was ample at least when we got there.

Amazing food. Had the Salt beef sandwich which was unbelievable. Superfood salad was also good!. Chocolate and almond cake was 10/10. All cooked in a coal fired oven 😋 Highly reccomend.

I ordered the Salt Beef with a home made Elderflower Cordial with sparkling water. Which was fabulous 😍.

Popped in on Friday 2nd September on our way to lake Windermere. The food was not at all costly and was beautiful 😍

Good food and service in a beautiful and convenient location. Just a touch expensive. Returned after a year, no major changes. Food was good as before. Has got a real quality toilet, a pleasure to use. Plenty of parking outside as it gets busy in the summer. A further year on and still going strong now a regular stop for us.

We call in often because the food is excellent.

Great find on route to the lakes, food excellent as was the service. Ordered off the specials board, Mac and cheese topped with smoked brisket, wonderful.

Amazing food. Smoked salmon Scrambled eggs. Could quite believe how much salmon I got. Yum. Coffee was delicious.

Came across this when looking for something to eat around the Ingleton area. Very pleasantly surprised by both quality and size. My other half had salt cured beef and I had the smoked brisket. Both huge, tender and very tasty. Will certainly return when we're in the area

We stop here on the way to Windermere.Place clean great staff.Food was great we had a bacon sandwich which had lot of bacon glutten free bread and a toasted tea cake(not gluten free) which was lovely good quality.Lots to choose from on the menu and special board.Dog friendly .Great place to stop .

Waited ages for 1 scone and a coffee! But was delish when arrived. Ordered a 2nd coffee. Waitress apologised for wait on this one. Coffee was excellent.

Pulled over on a urge for something to eat and were not disappointed. Lovely choice of sandwiches and main meals. Good looking cakes and good strong coffee. Good value. Friendly and considerate staff. We will return.

A very bright and airy place with outstanding views. Excellent food.

Ok for a stop off coffee. A bit 'canteen' ish. Some nice soft couches, plants and maybe a wood burner if allowed/practical, would really make it more welcoming. Benedict slice to be highly recommended! 😋

Very nice cafe and great flat white but disappointed there were no vegan cakes available. Now they may have sold out as it was Sunday afternoon about an hour before closing

Passed many times so made a point of stopping on the way to the Lakes. Dog friendly which is always a bonus. We chose from the specials board and were not disappointed. The coffees are delicious. Nice clean and modern cafe with good facilities. We liked it so much we stopped on the way back from our night in the Lakes for coffee and cake too,

Great menu, lovely soup and cake.

Hubby and I shared a pulled pork burrito (divine) and a home made sausage roll (delish) with lashings of latte and brownie to share. It was amazing and wd were stuffed. Took some cake home too 😊

Seven of us visited yesterday for our lunch and wasn’t disappointed the cafe was busy when we arrived but managed to get a table the menu is limited but has a good choice at reasonable prices there’s a specials board too I opted for pulled pork wrap served with chips and salad £8.50 didn’t wait long for my order to arrive great set of staff very friendly

Great customer services, quick service, quality food. Ordered one club Sandwich which easily fed two people.

We visited at lunchtime and it was busy but we got a table straight away. We Each ordered different meals and they arrived quickly. There was plenty and every one enjoyed their meals. The coffee and hot chocolate was particularly good. We will be returning when in the area.

Looked lovely when we walked in, clean and not too cramped . Unfortunately that's where it went downhill. The menu is very limited and the dish I had from the specials board was awful..disappointed wouldn't go there again.
