We were made to feel most welcome despite there being an emergency outside. The restaurant is small and as seen on the photos. The menu offered good choices for all, with an a la carte menu and there is also a tasting menu. There was an amuse bouche as well with our pre-dinner drinks. The food was delicious, well-presented and cooked, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was full, and booking is necessary. In fact we had difficulty getting our preferred time a month before! But it was a Saturday evening.

We walked up from the beach through a throng outside a pub to enter the rather plain restaurant. We were then sat at our table which had a lovely view of the bins across the road. I was thinking ‘bad choice, bad choice’ - how wrong was I !

Burger Brothers

30/05/2018: My son ensured me he would travel from London to Brighton to have their burgers. So we did and I must say it is pretty special, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Delicious , we had the classic, the meat paddy was juicy, the bun complimented the whole burger. A definite must.
11/09/2018: Visited here over the weekend and had a terrific burger. I ordered the "Our favourite" which came with goats cheese. Melt in the mouth good! I also had the triple chocolate shake which was soooo delicious. Definitely a place to go back to next time I'm in Brighton!

02/07/2018: First ever visit here for lunch, lovely summery menu full of seasonal ingredients, with lots of heat appropriate dishes, like salads, chilled soups and fish. I stuck to the set menu and had a really fresh, pea, broad bean and mozzarella salad made with good quality mozzarella. For my main I had mackerel with new potatoes and rainbow chard. Clearly skilled at fish preparation as I didn’t find any bones in the mackerel which is no mean feat. Woody stems on chard though, I know the colours look pretty but it’s no good if you can’t cut through them let alone eat them. Also menu said new potatoes but when it came they were fried new potatoes, so more accurate descriptions please. My partner also had a fish dish, sea bass which was great but the crab ravioli it came with was cold. We shared a dessert of chilled chocolate fondant with raspberry ripple ice-cream which was OK, then had a really smooth coffee. It was an extremely hot day when we went so full credit goes to the kitchen for producing an excellent meal under these conditions. Overall we loved our meal, yes there were a few silly mistakes but we will definitely come back here, real hidden gem, very easily overlooked. Great wines and cocktails here too.
15/09/2018: Werkelijk heerlijk gegeten in dit kleine maar knusse restaurant. De kaart is beperkt maar de gerechten zijn zeer smakelijk. De bediening is super vrolijk en attent. Een absolute aanrader!!
