Top tier pizza, really quick service, really friendly place. Think they're improving the place, which should be very good.

I’ve been to Gingerino’s a few times and never been disappointed, so felt like I should leave a review. Potentially the best pizza slice in Newcastle, of which there are a few very good ones.

We visited for takeaway pizza. Friendly and helpful guy at the counter. Really like the orange of the exterior. Gives the building a unique look. We got x2 margarita quarters and x2 garlic chicken quarters. Cooked to perfection, reasonable priced for the high quality of the pizza. Highly recommend the garlic dip. Would visit again.

This place is run extremely badly. Orders are lost - for which you get no apology. The wait time for a slice of pizza - yea really just a slice - is over an hour. Only come here if you want to sit down and quietly starve.

Used to be a good place to enjoy pizza it had gone down badly. Burned pizza, when you go for launch menu they look at you weird. It took them 20 minutes to heat up two slices off pizza after which I asked for refund and was told that my pizza can go in now. Had to point this out so it would finally be prepared. Don’t go if you want to be disappointed. As said it was a great place but since they moved it went down baddy. Not recommended!!!

Top lads, amazing pizza at an unreal price. Mad busy when I arrived, but mentioned i was between bands at a gig round the corner and they snuck me a slice in amongst it.

The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing.

Amazing pizza really quick service, well worth a visit. Stumbled on it by accident thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the wall chatting very casual, maybe better inside in the winter,haha.

We visited here after we'd been to the farm. Decent sized slices for about £3 each. Bonus that we found a different one we each wanted to try. Our youngest is 6 and the slice was bigger than her head so you could definitely split a slice between 2 younger ones.

Looking for quick lunch around Ouseburn and came across this place so thought we’d try it. Excellent value for money, so quick and best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Will be making the trip across again just for the pizza.

Pizza here is genuinely so lush! Staff are always friendly and food never takes too long to wait for. Lunch deal here is really good value and in general the prices are good value for money

This was pretty dang good pizza. It’s not as good as Pizzeria Italia or Flints unfortunately, but way better than most the places in the Toon. I love the fact you order in 1/4s so you can mix and match - it’s a nice touch.

Fancied a pizza, gingerinos was recommended, ordered a pepperoni and a margarita, stonebaked, fresh ingredients, wonderful tomato base, thin and crisp, just how a pizza should be, me and the family enjoyed, and are looking forward to trying a pizza with different toppings next time.

Their fresh ‘pizza’ is precooked and then reheated to order. Avoid and just go to Slice. Dough is inexcusably tough.

I thought I’d give this place a try for some Friday lunchtime pizza today...wow, I’ll definitely be back. Fresh dough, quality toppings at pocket change prices and not forgetting the great customer service they provide.

Gingerino’s is a hidden gem. Quick and friendly service, quirky interior and THE most amazing pizza and calzone we have ever tasted!! Excellent meal deal offer and value for money!

Decided to call in after seeing a good review on Facebook and we weren't disappointed. Probably about the best pizza I've had and the mini Calezone were not far behind. Everything on the menu priced at £2.50 and all cans of soft drinks £1. Meal deals basically make your drink free. There's a few tables inside and whilst nothing fancy spotlessly clean. Foods cooked to order so beware the napalm hot sauce hitting your chin! Great addition to the Ouseburn.

This unassuming property accommodates the friendliest staff and most genuine "nice guy" proprietor, Jimmy . However his pizzas are just the best. Also all of his home made produce including a range of delicious cakes will draw you to an early return. If you are in Newcastle please make the effort to call and see Jimmy and you will understand this review.

Visited just before closing time on a Saturday and I was worried we were too late but the guy was really friendly and made us a pepperoni pizza fresh. It was absolutely lovely, the dough, sauce and topping. Wish I had ordered two!

I first visit after a foodie friend posted a picture of his pizza and being a lover of fine pizza I had to find out where it was from. The dough is consistently perfect, the topping combinations are great especially when there is a special on for the day. Believe me, try the specials! I go as often as I can and take as many of the boys from work as possible.

Superb, tasty pizza slices at amazing prices. When 2 children and I can have a quick lunch for £7, what's not to like? The fact that the food is so good too makes it a rare find.

I'd been wanting to come here for so long. It certainly didn't disappoint. The Calzone was unreal!! Full of Cheesy gooeyness packed with so much flavour. The Pizza's went down well with the kiddies along with the brownies. We were all so full when we left and for £5 each!! Quality food for that price which also includes a soft drink. Amazing! Popped in during an ouseburn pub crawl on a hot bank holiday Sunday.. had been recommended by a friend otherwise probably wouldn’t have found it. Small little place and the chef was really nice! Two slices and a soft drink £5 so great deal! Pizza base was the best as cooked to perfection but nothing overly special about toppings/not amazing flavours. Overall a nice pizza shack though!

This out of the way little pizza place is worth a visit. We just popped in for a quick bite after some drinks in trendy Ouseburn and the pizza slice I had was truly delicious. I was down visiting but I wish I had somewhere local who did pizza half as good.

Was crawling the back roads of the Ouseburn looking for a sandwich whilst I waited for my daughter finishing her studies (tutor) and fancied a sandwich, went round the new "trendy" ouseburn and everything to be honest seemed over priced for a quick lunch, can across "GINGERINO'S" and though i'd see what they did - the outside does not look to appealing - don't let that fool you, Ginger Jimmy (Gingerino) is a lovely guy, took the time to chat, explain about his business, I ordered 2 pizza slices and a coke - £5 !!!!!!

We have eaten at Gingerino’s twice now and have enjoyed great lunchtime food on both occasions. Pizza was tasty and good value with great coffee. Recommended to all.

This place is just round the corner from work and it’s frequent we go here on a Friday for a lunch time treat, 2 slices of pizza and a drink for £5 is a great deal and the pizza is fantastic and never disappoints.

I have been lately coming with a friend to Jimmy's pizza place, and it's always a pleasant experience. The taste of pizza (dough and tops) is heavenly. Jimmy is a great chef and entertaining talker. The prices are just very agreeable. Newcastle is lucky to have such a place! No brainer if you like pizza! Easy reach from the Quaside - just walk up the Ouseburn ... Or down from Jesmond Dene. So, your pizza will simply follow a great walking experience!

The best pizza in newcastle by a mile. I took my mum here and she said it was the best pizza she has had in twenty years!! The cafe itself is set up in a container, where the seating area opens on to the kitchen where you an see them prepare your food fresh in front of you. It’s quick and easy with a rough and ready vibe, perfect for quickly grabbing lunch or dinner, and the staff are a delight. You can get pizza slices (which are huge) for about £2 so also very reasonably priced. This place is a must go!

We use these for the student accommodation I work for the food is outstanding and tasty. The service is exactly how it should be definitely recommend

A friend and I stumbled upon Gingerino’s at lunch time today and decided to stop for a pizza. The calzone was delicious - can honestly say I have never tasted better. Very friendly, informal atmosphere. Another couple (regulars!) were enjoying a huge pizza with four toppings on one base - custom made for each person. Definitely recommend Gingerino’s and already planning my return. Go there - you won’t be disappointed!

I've visited Gingerino's a couple of times and enjoyed delicious, freshly made pizza. I love the decor and laid back atmosphere, it's very relaxing. The staff are chatty and friendly without bring imposing.
