Really good food and really nice polite service , would recommend . One of the best curry’s I’ve had .

Me and my partner go here all the time, always amazing staff and great food.

Really liked their salmon jalfrezi the last time I was there. It was proper tasty and had the right level of spice but quite disappointed with their lamb till pasanda curry was too sweet for a main dish did not go well with plain boiled rice.

Had a takeaway chicken Tikka starter awful inedible chicken. Chicken pathia had no spice not really sure what curry it was. I went back next day said someone would call, yet over a week and nothing. Just fobbed me off Not usually a bad experience

If you're alone this place has no atmosphere - if you come with company you will forget you're in an Indian restaurant. No one has an idea about the origins of the food. Not an authentic Indian restaurant more of your local provide me with the formulated best you can do.

Disgusting service!! Rude staff! Ordered an 1.5hr early for 8pm collection. Told my husband it would be10mins when he arrived so he'd pay...50mins later he's still waiting for the food! No refund, no apology. Avoid

My aunt wanted to take me out for dinner on my birthday and I suggested here. A table was booked, although that wasn’t necessary on a Monday night. Lovely staff and very tasty food, my aunt was very impressed, I’m sure she will be back.

Ordered for delivery last night was absolutely beautiful. We have heard many positive reviews from friends about ginger orange but had never tried them before. We were missing out, food is absolutely beautiful authentic and very tasty. Cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Best curry we've had for years. I recommend this place highly and assure you won't be disappointed. Thanks for the lovely meal guys we will be ordering again very soon as our new favourite Indian takeaway. The nawabi is delicious never tried it before but it was cooked beautiful 👍🏻

Waited nearly 3 hours for delivery and still no food

Beautiful restaurant with great service and yummy food.We had Lamb chops which was amazingly marinated that no sauce was required.We had also sag paneer,lamb curry and butter chapatis.Every single dish was yummy.

All staff and waiters were very polite, accomodating and couldn't do enough for you. All food came out within good time. Good portion sizes. Masala fish starter was particularly delicious. Could not fault any of the food, all was nice, just the lamb Punjabi could have been a bit more spicy! Reasonably priced. We parked on one of the wide roads nearby. Overall would definitely return here!

The food was nice but the waiter on the phone was rude. We ordered a few curries as a takeaway and he basically said hurry up we need to serve other people as they are waiting at the table. I didn't like this attitude.

Idk what this is but surely not authentic.. the gravy has 5 big spoons of sugar... biriyani not original indian flavour... no spice or salt in anything.. shame that people think this is how indian food tastes like

Since akbars have closed, we have been looking for a restaurant that has good food and atmosphere. Well, I think we found it at Ginger Orange. The food was amazing and very tasty 😋 will definitely return and recommend it to others. Staff were very friendly, and the service was spot on. 👌

Had a very long wait for a takeaway, but it was a busy Saturday night. However, the food is excellent, and my dish was one of the tastiest I have ever had. So congratulations to the chefs.

5 out of 5 stars. We decided to go out for our anniversary, and we’ve not been here before even with living just a 5 min walk down the road. WOW what have we been missing out on, the food was lovely will definitely be going back again and again and again.

Fresh food but currys same as each other no matter wot u order then get a bit of attitude off a teenager who try’s to tell u currys from same family wot ever that means🤣🤣..must b his dad -uncle’s restaurant….i dont go to a restaurant n order 2 totally different currys n get the same but 1sgot more onions n chillies but different curry ..but there exactly the same..same as Bombay joes av a word with yaselfs ad better curry down aldis…

We ordered lamb biriyani and they provided with some oily fried rice ( may be they were at the end of the cookware) with tomato curry. Portion of meat was ok but fried rice with tomato curry how could you call it lamb biriyani?? We took out the food at home so couldn't found out earlier.

Three stars seems a little low but it wasn't four stars today. We've been a few times before to Ginger Orange when it was easily four stars but not quite five stars. The welcome was warm. Service was friendly and fast. Decor and atmosphere in the restaurant was fine too. The menu prices, probably, lower than they need to be. That is maybe why the food was not as tasty as last time we visited. The food lacked the spice, freshess and flavour we had enjoyed before and made Ginger Orange a stand out from the crowd restaurant. I'm guessing this is down to the economies that all business are battling with. Can't put the prices up for fear of losing customers, higher operating costs, and costs need cut somewhere to make carrying on with the business viable. It seems to be the food that has suffered the cuts. The curry had less meat, less ingredients and less flavour before. This used to be a near 5-star local curry house that you would go out to when a treat was needed. It's just not that anymore and it's a shame. I hope the spice comes back soon.

Booked a table here but when we arrived the table was not ready. The restaurant was busy…..but not full, but we waited over 20 minutes to be seated. We bought a bottle of wine while we were waiting. Having got poppudums and ordered our mains, we then waited over an hour for them. They even brought us some complementary onion bargees as we waited. The food was good but nothing else was. When we received the bill they tried to charge us for the first bottle of wine that we had bought whilst we were waiting. If you fancy having the food from here I suggest you order a takeaway as they appear to value those customers more than the ones that actually turn up at the restaurant.

Food was OK, however even before we finished meal the staff told us to leave. We had booked our table and at no point were we told that there was a time limit. We were only been there a little over an hour. The staff were then very rude, telling my pregnant wife looking after my toddler, elderly parents in law and me that we couldn't have dessert and needed to leave the table. He wouldn't even get our child an ice cream. The manager then was extremely rude to my mother in law and wife, telling us that it was our fault but couldn't give any reason why. Once I said something, possible as I am male, he changed attitude but still continued to tell us to leave. We left and chose not to pay the full bill. Will not be going back.

What a great restaurant, fantastic food, super fast efficient service, the chicken Handi was superb, relaxed atmosphere, no hesitation in recommending, can’t wait to go back.

We recently collected a large order from the Ginger Orange for a birthday meal. All the dishes were tasty and warm in generous portions. We also ordered rice, naan breads and poppadums and everyone was pleased with the quality and quantity of food

Very poor says on the internet closes at 10pm but last orders at 8:30pm Do not recommend.

We're both long time vegetarians and even though the food was well cooked, all 4 dishes were bland, in that they all tasted the same.

Food excellent, and the service was very good. Only downer for me was, it was a very cold evening when we visited. A group of lads who came in later constantly going outside for a smoke and leaving the door open.

Came here to celebrate my mums birthday, very busy for a Wednesday night but had managed to book well in advance. It’s been a while since we were last here so didn’t recognise any of the staff, but all were still pleasant and chatty. Food amazing as always. As we were leaving one of the staff gave my mum a small bottle of Prosecco as it was her birthday. Great restaurant.

I cannot eat gluten or lactose. The staff were very informative and all their curry’s are gluten free. They were able to make recommendations based on my food allergies. Food was excellent.

Probably the worst takeaway we’ve had. Stale naan, bland rice, soft popadoms, all the chicken dishes tasted the same and the hottest chilli in my jalfrazi that I’ve ever had. Burnt my mouth so badly that I didn’t taste anything for over an hour!! Won’t be back.

Awful experience from start to finish. Ordered a takeaway which arrived cold and inedible. Customer service on the phone was dreadful, staff promised food was 5 mins away, it arrived an hour later. Staff unprofessional. Would avoid at all costs!!

Worst curry house experience. Booked table 8.30pm still waiting on main at 10.30. Gave up asked for bill. Service was dreadful. Starters delivered with thumbs in bowls of food. Staff untrained, rude and offensive wanting a fight outside. Certainly not a winner on customer service. Don't waste your money.

Couldn’t fault this restaurant. From the booking in for a party of 30, to the setting up of the table plan, to the welcome and hard work of the staff and to the service and food which was delicious. They did a great job and made the occasion very special. I would recommend to anyone this friendly restaurant.

Ordered two lamb tikka curries for takeaway of differing strengths. The lamb meat was tough and chewy - didn’t really feel like much care had gone into the preparation.

Ive eaten from most Indian takeaways and this 1 has got to be the best by far.... I've ordered takeaways from here and dined within... No difference in the quality of food.... Would highly recommend...

Absolutely outstanding food and service. We have used this restaurant several times and each time it has been consistently good. We eat Indian food regular, and this is by far the best in the Coventry/Warwickshire area. A special mention is also the staff who are attentive without being intrusive, and are professional A very highly recommended restaurant

Had many takeaways been very good, don't know what's happened recently but won't be having anymore waste of money

We were a party of three adults one of whom had special diary requirements. These were perfectly catered for. The staff were friendly and obliging and the food was excellent. Overall a fabulous experience, we will definitely visit Ginger Orange again. However on our next visit we offered chilly seats by the door or upstairs, we went upstairs and froze. No more visits.

Been here a few time excellent food when sitting in and eating. Don't know what happened last night! Ordered a collection...jalfrazie and a Pathia. Pathia was not a Pathia, more like a madras with coconut and the Jalfrazie was also rubbish with no peppers and not much taste. Will not be ordering again.

I am writing this review with great happiness and satisfaction. I ordered chicken briyani, chicken Tikka masala, naans and tandoori chicken through Deliveroo for a total cost of £ 28. The chef is a sweet person, that’s why the chicken tikka masala tasted like rasmalai. After tasting this, I thought the Poor chicken could have been killed thousand times before been added to this red rasmalai gravy thing. Tandoori 🐓 was okayish, because it is the only item which had detectable amount of salt (only that). The best part was the naan, which can be used as comforter, good for winter season. The chicken briyani is fabulous. Tips to make this briyani into an edible briyani: a) take a pan and heat two tsp ghee, b) under medium heat, add the so called briyani, c) sprinkle some salt, pepper and curry masala powder according to you taste, d) sauté it for a minute and serve with Greek yogurt from Aldi or tesco. Overall, the only thing I enjoyed from this restaurant was the pappadom which is free.Next time, I will cook myself 😂😂😂🤦 ji
