Lovely food, friendly service, relaxed atmosphere

I love the Ginger Fox and so does my little dog Eva, who graciously accepts the tasty sausage offered to her at each visit. There are lots of vegetarian options but omg the eggs benedict are amazing! Coffee is good too and dont forget the spectacular cake selection to the left as you come in the door. The staff are sooooo friendly.

Great little coffee shop. Changing table with mobile above it, toilet seat topper for toddlers and step for sink all lovely additional extras for those visiting with kids.

Service slow ...place looks tired and rather in need of sprucing up..nice to see traditional china cups etc ..not sure I like dogs at the table as in the pictures !!...pretty unhygienic !

Love this place. Dog friendly too. Staff are friendly and sociable and the food is great at a reasonable price. Worth a visit and you won't be dissapointed.

Very good place to eat, but not always got space, so sometimes reserving a table is good idea. Could do with a bit more choice for kids on the menu.

Wonderful afternoon tea for a family group - I was so pleased with the service and quality of the food. We had to book before hand - but this was good because we could discuss the sandwich fillings. The cakes were very pretty and tasty lovely and fresh. The sandwiches were tasty too. I loved the fact that there was such a wide range of tea and you could try some speciality ones - with free refills (not like some other cafes). There was food left over and this was boxed up for us. Service was great. Everybody loved it.

I regularly visit with friends, one of whom is Vegetarian, and we've never been disappointed. There's always a warm welcome from friendly staff and prompt service. There's a good lunchtime selection with some interesting Specials, as well as an abundance of cake and/or ice cream to choose from. The food is freshly cooked, good quality ingredients, and the portion sizes are generous. We will continue to patronise this excellent local cafe.

Stopped off here for breakfast on a road trip to Spalding. Wonderful breakfasts and if I am that way again I will revisit. Just with I lived closer to it.

Visited with family and I had the Breakfast. Could not fault it! The sausages in particular were brilliant. If I'm being critical the only problems we had were waiting for cutlery and sauces after being served our lovely hot food, which was getting cold. We had someone in a wheel chair and whilst very accommodating there is a step at the front of the building which goes out onto the main street and close to the road. (not their fault though) Just something to consider if visiting with Wheelchair users.

We regularly visit Finger Fox. Jane and Tracey are lovely and great with kids. Food is freshly prepared and good selection of choices

Decided to try here as an alternative to a pub lunch. What a delightful find. Lovely friendly welcome and even though it was quite busy and not having booked previously, we were found a perfect table. Great thing is, it's dog friendly which was another reason I chose it. The food was lovely, and delicious scones with jam and clotted cream. It's clearly popular with locals and has a clientele of regulars. A great little find.

We decided to pop in for lunch! The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Could not fault the salad! But unfortunately the eggs, chips were over cooked when my husband had ham, eggs and chips. A second attempt resulted in soft eggs which were asked for but still overcooked chips

Ginger Fox is a great place for lunch or just a coffee and cake. There is always lots of variety in the home made cakes, savoury food is always well presented and freshly prepared and cooked. The staff are really great and go out of their way to look after their older customers.

If you are in Bourne you simply will not find a better breakfast than this. Really good quality food served with delicious coffee by very friendly people.

Having had a bad experience at another café, we came here for lunch and were so glad to have done so. The service was friendly and helpful, and they catered very well for my gluten-free diet. We were all very happy with our meals. I had the all-day breakfast with gluten-free toast and even gluten-free sausages - marvellous! I didn't have any room left, but they also do gluten-free cake so I'll sample that another time!

Great selection for different dietary requirements. I had a vegan breakfast that surpassed many others I've had elsewhere, my Husband had the regular breakfast, tailored to fit. The service was every bit as excellent as the food. Thank you :)

My husband & I have become regulars at The Ginger Fox, popping in when we're not working for a sort of lunch with our dog. Tracy is always bustling around super busy but always has time for a chat & to bring our dog a sausage. Jayne is a fabulous cook, producing the freshest food & amazing cakes & always has a smile. I can't recommend the Ginger Fox highly enough, there are so few places that not only allow a dog but also actively welcome them, bravo ladies!

I have to be honest, the Service wasn't great. The food didn't come all at once so one person was nearly finished by the time the last person got theirs. 2 plates had to be sent back due to the eggs being over cooked. Normally a lovely place.

Cute little cafe, super friendly staff! Dog friendly, vegan friendly and put up with our lot spilling drinks everywhere! Cannot recommend enough! Oh and the food is fantastic

We both had breakfast here, one a Full English, one Small English, both cooked to perfection. Eggs were soft and runny, sausages were good quality, beans were fab... Service with a smile. Certainly somewhere we'd come back to.

Friendly and helpful staff new staffs first day and she was so nice. Nothing was a problem and she smiled through out. Will be back x Food was great too smashing cakes but just not for breakfast to early lol x

Lovely place with the friendliest of service. I go in most weeks and take the dog who always get treated to a fuss and some sausage. The food is brilliant and if you're still hungry after there's cakes too. Never had a bad experience here. Strongly recommend.

Today was my first time visiting the cafe and wow,what a warm and friendly place with excellent tasty food.Four of us dined at lunchtime and each meal tasted amazing and was presented beautifully.Very nicely decorated cafe too.Will definitely go back when next in the area. My daughter was up for the day from Milton Keynes ,and she said shell we try the Ginger Fox. Oh what a great find had a soup and a sandwich very nice ,High Tea , scampi & chips and children Fish finger and chips.it was all very nice . Will definitely pay a visit again

Was bowled over by this lovely little place. Very friendly service, where NOTHING was too much trouble. The Butternut Squash and Coconut soup was delicious. I needed a soft roll not on the menu, so a lovely soft slice of buttered bread was offered, rather than the crusty one or the delicious cheese scone. On the website was a dessert not on the menu ( banana waffle with butterscotch ice cream) so what do they do, but they go and obtain some bananas and make it for us anyway! Where else would you get this with a huge genuine smile? Couldnt resist taking home for hubby a generous slice of chocolate cake that I "needed" to help him eat. DIVINE!! Thank you so much again to you all - we will certainly visit again and recommend you to your friends and family X

Good service friendly staff great breakfast

I visited this cafe for the first time on the 8th January having been recommended by a friend, and as far as the cafe is concerned there are nothing but positives, it is clean, well presented, the staff who served us were polite and helpful and our choice of food from the menu certainly did not disappoint in presentation, quality and quantity. However that really is where the positives end. We chose a table for two and were seated in the upper section of the cafe, next to us, to our right were another couple enjoying a meal, and none of their obvious conversation could be heard by us, and no doubt neither could the discourse that passed between my wife and I be heard by them. Sadly at the top of the cafe are settees and armchairs and seated as a group on the settees were two young females and a male, who in fairness to him we heard nothing, but as far as the two females were concerned they could, not only talk for England but with absolutely no exaggeration we could not help but hear practically every word of their very loud conversations that continued for whole of the time we spent in the cafe, and to be fair it was not only irritating, but typified the inconsiderate and selfish nature of some of that so called generation of modern females, that seem to spend their entire lives talking at the top of their voices wherever they are, obviously they would have come from a family background where he or she who shouts loudest gets the attention, and that seems to be what it is all about, as for the second female sitting on the settee with her back to us, upon taking the baby in her hands and raising it above head height and bellowing, "super baby," three times, that really for me gilded the lily, and I made a conscious decision that I would count out any future visits to this cafe, much as I enjoyed everything else about the establishment, I am afraid that if I want the McDonald's, Burger King, KFC atmosphere of face booking youngsters totally ignoring any modicum of respect for fellow diners with their loud mouthed vocal discourse then that is where I feel quite sure that I will find it, and as such I avoid such establishments. I am sorry to say that those settees and armchairs are going to be a magnet for these type of loud mouthed inconsiderate customers and they will certainly not win any favour with anyone wishing to enjoy a drink or meal in a convivial atmosphere of relative peace and quiet where they can indulge in a personal conversation without having to endure listening to someone else whose intelligence would not even stretch to understanding the meaning of the words "soto voce." But I do thank you for the excellent service we received from the staff.

Very poor service waited 45mins for 3 bacon sandwiches.

Amazing food! I had a tuna toastie and we shared some chips. The triple cooked chips are delicious! Good prices and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was a little slow, we had to ask for the bill and then to pay even though it was empty. I dont know if that's just because they have a relaxed approach and didnt want to seen to be rushing us. We didn't wait too long for food and it won't put me off going again 😊

Very tasty lunch today. Homemade lamb koftka kebabs were delicious and washed down with a refreshing glass of lemonade infused with elderflower and juniper. Friendly staff and a great place to visit. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely friendly cafe where you wouldn't feel out of place on your own. The cakes are scrumptious and such a variety it's really hard to choose just one, but you can purchase to take home also. I love the diffenent china cups that the tea is served in. I haven't eaten a meal here, but everything coming out of the kitchen looks home made and delicious.

We went here for a coffee and could not resist the cake. A warm welcome and comfortable chairs at the back of the tea room. We did not wait long for our really good coffee and enjoyed sharing a large slice of cake. Will go again.

I decided to book here after not being able to book in Smiths as they wanted a deposit - ridiculous. Anyway so glad we went here instead as it is a lovely café, very quaint and a typical tea shop but also very trendy. The lady who served us was rushed off her feet but we didn't have to wait for anything. The sandwiches were lovely finger sandwiches and the cakes - well we couldn't eat them all so had "doggy boxes" to take home. They did not rush us at all and even though they shut at 4 I think we left at 4.30 and there was no rush even then. You felt very welcome and I would definitely recommend this café.

Delicious home-made food, excellent service and interesting decor. This cafe is in town but there are car parks nearby.

Greeted with the warmest of welcomes,seated where we chose, a high chair soon provided for my 18 month old grandson ,the ladies took time to engage with him which was very pleasing. My salmon quiche with salad and thrice cooked chips was exceptional. My daughter chose the Christmas club sandwich with sweet potato fries, again absolutely first class. A lovely calm relaxed lunch will most definitely be back .

Always a joy to visit Ginger Fox. The food is always fresh, and so well cooked; the staff are friendly and helpful and the vintage decor adds a different charm to other venues in the town. They are so great with children as well. Try the flowering tea, its a visual feast!

Great place for coffee and cake, scones are delicious! Good choice of meals, open some evenings too. Child friendly.

We went for dinner as a family on a Friday evening and found the food of exceptional quality in a great tapas style which enabled us to share a variety of great tasting and well presented dishes. Great service, friendly staff and the head chef even came out to speak with us which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend visiting, the evening menu was superb value for money and had a unique offering. We will certainly be returning to try the rest of the menu! 10/10

Having made a forst visit to this "cafe"...

Thoroughly enjoyed a ‘tapas style’ meal which was superbly cooked and presented.

Visited Saturday evening for dinner and the food was divine. We ordered lots of dishes to share and everything was delicious. We had chicken tarragon which melted in the mouth. The lamb was perfectly cooked. The beans were outstanding and the sliders were the best burgers ever.

We went for the BBQ evening, and it was brilliant. Food was delicious and staff were very nice and friendly. Definitely going back again. :)

Took my mum to Bourne for the day yesterday as her parents are buried there. Heard about the ginger fox, so booked in advance. We went for the afternoon tea and delighted we did. Absolutely amazing little place, staff were fantastic. Will be going back and trying something else from the menu as they looked totally awesome too.

Went for pre mother’s / grandmother day with my grandsons who treated me to tea and cake. The staff were very welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.

We've eaten at the Ginger Fox three times and on each occasion we've been well looked after and pleasantly surprised as to how such a huge choice of food can be on offer and every item we have ordered has been just perfect! The full English breakfast is simply superb, quality, locally sourced ingredients and always served hot with fresh toast and proper butter, none of those measly wrapped portions! Whether you want a simple slice of cake and a cuppa or you fancy a full cooked lunch, then Ginger Fox needs to be on your radar. It's inexpensive, the service is friendly and efficient and the place is clean. Not to be missed!

We go here regularly for coffee and cake, some lunches and recently an afternoon tea. The food is homemade and scrumptious, the atmosphere fun and quirky, and the service is lovely. And excellent prices, too.

Visited for the 1st time the other week and food was lovely. We'll definitely be going back.
