Thursday night (Steak night) Great service, polite staff, food was ‘AMAZING’ we had tenderloin steak, perfectly good, delicious sides, good value, polite staff, highly recommended, we will be back soon 😋

Enjoyable evening with another couple. Great food - pleasant suprise to have Swordfish. WIne prices good value. Overall pleasant evening. Will return. This is our 4th visit now :) F&M

I don't know what's happened, but after years of delightful dining, I won't be back. The new weekend menu, from Friday to Sunday, is significantly limited compared to the previous one. My friend and I arrived separately and despite giving the same booking name were shown to different tables, an amusing mix up. Drink and food order taken at the same time with a single return whilst removing the plates to ask if we wanted dessert. The fish and chips was very poor. Illuminous, sweet peas and practically square fish that had the thickest and hardest batter I've ever experienced. Please go back to the previous menu and attentive staff.

Not the greatest experience. We had Teriyaki Beef and Scallops to start. The beef was great, but the scallops were slightly underdone for me, although my wife enjoyed them. We had Lamb Chops and Crispy Belly Pork for the mains. The lamb was lacking a good sear and the fat hadn't rendered. The belly pork arrived very soft, and again the fat hadn't rendered. We sent it back to be crispened up, and when we got it back it was perfect. Crispy and with the fat reduced. The down side to both the mains is that we only got brought steak knives as we were finishing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Despite the pork being sent back to be finished, no discount was offered nor token drink to compensate for the inconvenience. A little disappointing.

Great food, attentive and friendly service and a good atmosphere even though it was fairly quiet but we were slightly late booking.

Lovely little spot, had to visit the Hospital and this cafe is round the corner on main road, friendly staff, nice food and a welcome break!

Lovely bistro, been a few times, great decor and etiquette from staff, pleasant atmosphere, will cook you up anything for breakfast. Only downfall is the limited vegetarian options and no halal options, though still one of the best places in Preston and parking is good.

My husband and I visited the Ginger Bistro in Fulwood again for Breakfast. Wonderful,friendly staff. Very flexible when ordering as my husband requested no egg and asked for extra tomatoes. I ordered eggs florentine. Perfectly cooked. Enjoy going and reasonably priced.

We had the 3-course set menu and it was absolutely delicious. The staff are really lovely, the atmosphere perfect for lunch. Would recommend and will definitely be visiting again. 😀

Really annoying that my daughter got a parking ticket on their car park while eating at this establishment without being warned on entry.

I seriously don't know what people are eating at home but to think they think this place as amazing food is beyond belief..prawns in chilli sauce straight out of a bottle and the the shepperds pie pre cooked and micro wave to with in an inch of its life a joke

This is the only restaurant in Fulwood and is brilliant for its relaxed atmosphere, good food, service, and friendly staff.

Very nice restaurant that we've visited before. Food and drinks were all up to the usual excellent standards. The reason for only 4 stars was the limited choice available on the lunchtime 2 or 3 course menu. The options available haven't changed for at least 18 months. We have now decided to suspend any further visits pending a revision to this menu option. For anyone who hasn't been before the quality on offer is of a very good standard and value for money.

Sorry but our experience this afternoon was not good. Had to ask for menus, then drinks and then food. All about 10/15 minutes apart. Food came still not had a drink at this point we had been there about 40 minutes. All in all service not good. Then to top it all at the end we were given the wrong bill, but the waiter insisted it was ours. Anyway after a few minutes he went away and changed it. All in all not good.

A nice restaurant with good staff who took care of us even with a large table at a busy time of year. The atmosphere was nice and festive too. It's a little disappointing though that the only vegan starter option was hummus (which was delicious to be fair) and the only vegan option on the main menu was a bean burger (which was alright). As much as I like the place, I wouldn't come back to eat that bean burger again, and there aren't any other vegan choices. Even the vegetarian items look a little dated - curry, risotto, etc. which have all been the standard on veggie menus since I can remember. In this age I'd expect more really. Good vegan food isn't hard.

We went to here for evening dinner. Had the amazing humus and fish pie today. Was beautifully fresh, well seasoned with the pie being hot and not because it was microwaved. Great service as always, a really lovely and welcoming place to go to. Why it hasn’t got more food stars and official ratings I do not know.

Not very good to be honest. My meal came luke warm, whilst waitng for a new dish which was that hot on its return was unable to eat it for a good 15 to 20 mins my wifes half eaten meal was also removed from the table whilst at the toilet, might have been one of them nights, but wont be returning in a hurry

Lovely food, excellent customer service

A really lovely meal at Ginger Bistro - we spent a good couple of hours meandering through a few courses with great service and a nice atmosphere. Staff were great especially with our little one. The food was super, steaks cooked perfectly and big portions (especially desert!). Will definitely return, thank you!

Staff were so lovely right from the get go, I called to reserve a table for myself and my fiancé about 30 minutes before we went and asked if they still had the Tomahawk steak and they saved one for us (they had 2 left). Arrived to a warm welcome and a nice table that was reserved for us by the bar. The staff were friendly and smiley, couldn’t do enough for us, the actual bistro was really nice and cosy, and the food was soo good. We ordered some cocktails and the last two that we ordered we didn’t really like as they were very strong (definitely not skimping on the alcohol!) and when they took the drinks away from us they took them off the bill, which was really kind and they didn’t need to do that. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future, absolutely loved it.

Ginger is a super bistro, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is spot on, top marks in all regards. Highly recommended.

Very friendly, attentive waiting on staff, from entry to the restaurant, all the way until leaving the premises. Staff even holding the door open for you as you leave. Lovely atmosphere with couples, family’s and small groups dining. The food was delicious. We’ll presented and tater as good as it looked! Special mention for the tomahawk steak. Beautifully cooked to our liking, with a choice of sides and sauces. The sauces tasted equally as nice as the steak. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely be returning!

Had an early dinner with two friends at Ginger Bistro and it did not disappoint. Really enjoy the ambience of this restaurant, they seem to have the welcome, lighting and background music just right, enabling us to have a great chat together in a comfortable setting. Our group had the beetroot and halloumi salad, fish and chips and the fish pie on this occasion - all incredibly tasty and well presented. The salad was substantial with a side order of triple cooked chips - really moreish. The fish and chips was a good size. I had the fish pie which I've had previously and it was perfect both in taste and the amount of fish. The accompanying vegetables beautifully cooked and really flavoursome. Will return very soon.

The food was very nice, well presented and the portion sizes were about right. The restaurant was easy to find. When we arrived, it was very busy - it was a Saturday night, but the place had more of a pub/bar feel than a restaurant feel. We had booked, but our table wasn't ready. The restaurant inside felt cramped and was very noisy, the music was quite loud. We opted to sit outside, which was OK because although it's on a busy road, it was set back enough for this not to matter. Our enjoyment of being outside was marred by other customers coming outside to smoke in the seating area. Waiting staff were pleasant, and although service was a bit slow at first, they were very apologetic about this, and once we had ordered, it was much better.

Visited with husband and 6 year old for an early evening mid week meal. Great menu, lots of choice and what we had we really enjoyed. Good children’s menu. Staff were helpful and felt genuinely welcoming. A nice atmosphere. Will return.

Absolutely excellent food. Teriyaki beef strips for starter, Filet steak for main and raspberry creme brulé for desert. The quality of food was 10/10 and the friendly service made it even better. Great wines also. Very very good.

Went to the Ginger Bistro for family lunch. Fabulous meals, so much food and so tasty. James and his staff could not have been more helpful or attentive. Absolutely amazing tonight, I had a big Cheese & Bacon Burger with chunky Chips. Then for pudding I had, a white Chocolate Cheesecake with Fruit Berries on top and Berry sauce. To drink I had a Strawberry Gin. Everything was well done, and the best. Delicious food, the staff we're extremely friendly, excellent service & the place looked well clean bright, and comfy seating area too. I would definitely come back here again. Always good food here. Love the ambiance and that it’s not a massive chain. Wide selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. A rotating menu which means you may have a variety of choice at visits. Tried the lunch menu today and was still very pleased. Staff are attentive without being overbearing. Limited car park so travel together if possible.

I had the fuesdo for starters.. very tasty.hot.looks good.came with pitta bread.chorizo perfect cooked and non chewy. For mains I had 8ounze fillet steak rare to medium rare. After driving past this place for 8 yrs on my way to and from work I finally managed to try it and I'm extremely glad we went. I always thought it would be hard to park at but it's not. If you can't get on the shop front then If you turn onto the street it's on the corner of there is a patron car park and plenty side streets for parking. If you use the patron car park as you enter Ginger Bistro you will need to enter you car reg into a pad this will give you 2hrs parking so you may need to nip out and move the car if you're there longer. The place is lovely and offers a nice cosy environment to relax and enjoy some amazing food, and staff who are passionate about making sure you have the best experience. Food: Starters: I had scallops from the specials menu and he had Queso Fundido A-La Cart. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the sauce they came with complimented the scallops beautifully. The Fundido was extremely tasty it was like a mini lasagna but without the pasta. Mains: Again off the specials menu I had the beef wellington which came with mash and seasonal veg. The other half had 8oz Fillet steak off the A-La Cart. Omg the pastry on the wellington was some of the nicest pastry I've ever had .. it just melted in the mouth. The beef cooked to perfection and the selection of seasonal veg was just amazing. The other half asked for steak rare/medium rare and it came with mushrooms, tomatoes, chunky chips and seasonal veg. There is a choice of sauces too .. he went for the chefs own peppercorn sauce. The steak came out cooked to perfection and he said the sauce was the best peppercorn he'd ever had. Desserts: We shared Apple Crumble and custard which finished off an amazing meal very nicely. The crumble had a good crunch to it and the custard was lovely and smooth. If I could give 10 stars on here I would .. can't say enough good things about this place. It's a must visit.

My wife and daughter went last night and were totally Unwhelmed. Burger & Chips "" very basic". Chicken on the bone, with what looked like a mish-mash of Christmas leftovers for veg. Poor quality and value.

BEWARE Me and my partner visited The Ginger Bistro a couple of weeks ago for the festive menu. We both ordered the salmon and prawn cocktail for starter and crispy pork belly for main. A few hours later we both started to feel very ill and had to go home where we were both sick. The nausea lasted all evening and we still felt queasy for a couple of days. As the lunch was the first meal we had in over 24hrs we are led to believe that it was the food we consumed on at Ginger Bistro that caused it. As you can see from the attached image, the portion of pork was way beyond what one person could eat which, in retrospect, makes me worry that they were simply using up (potentially dodgy) pork. I emailed Ginger Bistro right after our experience and have yet to hear anything from them which is very disappointing.

Lovely lunch today. We chose from the xmas set menu 2 courses for £24. Hubby had roast turkey I had the minted lamb Henry both were delicious. Good portion size. Friendly service. Definitely recommend

The Ginger Bistro was a new experience for 4 of us - the atmosphere was great (relaxed and comfortable), the food was really good - being able to mix and match items from the set menu, the specials and the A la Carte - gave us all exactly what we requested but it was all topped by fabulous sevice. I would recommend the Ginger Bistro. I will be returning soon

Amazing service, friendly staff and spectacular food

Went for breakfast and really enjoyed this place. Its on the side of a busy main road but there is plenty of parking at the rear (make sure you enter your registration number when you go in or youll be charged). Both of us had the ginger breakfasts and two massive teapots of tea. The servings were massive and quality was amazing. I normally hate the sausage in most places like this but actually really enjoyed this (on the way we spotted the honeywells van which explains the good quality). The staff were really welcoming and friendly. It says they do a bottomless brunch every lunchtime so think we might be popping back for this. Definitely recommend, sorry forgot to take pics.

I walked into the Bistro at 610pm Saturday 8th october and asked if they had a table x 4. Unfortunately they were full, but the Manager James said he would text me, if a table left early, they did & he did! We were at our table for 730pm, service was excellent and the food was delicious. A fabulous evening with good friends and an excellent atmosphere. Keep up the good work Soji & team. X
