Ginesi's Ice-Cream in Glasgow City

Flavours are overly subtle and not the best texture. The younger girl was friendly but the more mature lady has a terrible attitude and creates an uncomfortable environment. The owner has a strange obsession with cash only, it's 2023 just get a card machine, plenty of small businesses that likely make less money than you have them. Nowhere near the standards of Nowita or La Gelatessa.

I've been visiting the "Queens Park cafe" for a long time now, even coming from Kilmarnock for the last 6 years. Im my opinion it is quite frankly the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Forget italy or the vatican city, this is the best, hands down!

Just to start. I love Ice Cream, I love Gelato, I always have. I didn't know Ginesi's existed till I found it online. Their Gelato is superb. Visited this week and for a small shop they have about 20 Gelato flavours to choose from which is great. I tasted the vanilla and it was gorgeous. The Banana Gelato was great but the Almond Gelato was incredible. Anyway, if you are looking for top quality Gelato in Glasgow, try here, you will love it.

I was visiting Glasgow for the first time in a long time and I was longing for some traditional Italian milk ice. I found these guys on Google. I checked Uber eats and Deliveroo but they weren't on there. Weirdly they don't have a website so I called but they didn't deliver so I had to go over there. Not the warmest welcome but the biggest shock was the charge for raspberry. I visited 3 Italian ice cream shops this weekend and you were the only one that charged and gave me the least sauce!. So despite your protestations about how good your sauce is, I had better! However, the ice cream was pretty good. So maybe you could reconsider the 20p? While you're at it maybe you could look into the delivery services and start taking cards. I only just had enough cash on me.

I have been visiting the cafe with my parents since i was a toddler, (thats over 30 years now) The icecream is still amazing as ever. To tell you the truth i cant pass judgement on the flavoured ones (my husband loves the biscoff) I ALWAYS buy the original. If you know something is amazing why bother trying something else. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff - the owner is a gem, and the icecream is just wow When this review asked for a "when visited option" i looked for one that said every week because thats how much we go :)

Had been out in Glasgow all day with my 4 year old daughter, and had promised her an ice cream, so took her to Ginesi's on Victoria Road. Really nice ice cream parlor, that for 3pm on a Sunday afternoon was really busy. Excellent selection of flavors to select from, with my choice being the Vegan Salted Caramel, and my daughter the Vegan Mint Choc. Really good prices and really tasty. Will almost certainly be back here again in future.

Ice cream was reasonably priced and tasted okay - a bit sweet for me but okay. There were 2 vegan options and maybe 8 others and coffees too. It's cash only in there. I took a cup rather than a cone because I noticed that the seller touched the cones with his bare hands right after handling money - YUK. Can you please make sure your staff are observing hygiene practices.

Still worth the journey for a single nugget treat! As delicious as I can remember... Made my trip to Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 thank you and sorry to hear you have to move on good luck. I hope we can find you on our next visit from down South 🤗

This place serves the best ice cream i have ever had, period. Being extremely sweet toothed ive eaten a fair few over the years including Italy. This is by far the best ive ever had. I travel 42 miles to buy it

This establishment (The Queen's Cafe)has been here over 100 years on Glasgow's former parisien boulevard back in the day, Victoria Rd on the Southside. It is legendary for its fresh milk flavoured and vanilla ices which are indeed excellent but i also love it for its hot snacks. You can have a great full breakfast but my favourite is a crispy roll (the only way) with square sausage topped with a potato scone.Everything is cooked to perfection non greasy and very tasty. A good range of cakes is available with proper empire biscuits to die for. This place has history. it may be spartan and not fancy but it is a comforting welcoming place where you can chill, read a paper, over a snack with tea or coffee or have an informative chat with the family owners. Hygiene standards are high and service is excellent. I have been coming here on and off since my childhood some 60 years or more. My mother cherished the Hot peas in the late 1950's as tram cars trundled by outside. The cafe is now served by buses 4,4a,5,6 and with a short walk 7&7a. All from the city centre travelling the short distance over the river Clyde to the Southside. Worth a visit??? "Well you never know"....Until you've tried. You won't regret it.

I love my ice cream and this one did not disappoint! Amazing flavour and several options so it wasn’t an easy choice. Staff were helpful and fun and I will definitely come back x

Their fresh milk ice cream is simply of this world. Cannot think about trying any other ice cream. Nice friendly lady behind the counter.

The shop takes you back to a previous era, and doesn't look much on the outside. However these are homemade ice creams that would fetch a fair amount if they were in some hipster part of London. Mint choc chip wasn't quite so good however but the strawberry meringue was amazing.

Just the best vegan ice cream (gelato!) I've ever had. Favorites include the chocolate orange and salted caramel, but I've honestly never been disappointed. Staff are wonderful and the shop feels like a little community hub. Very warm and welcoming - I visit every time I'm anywhere near the southside, and always leave with at least one big tub!

He querido visitar Ginesi cada vez que vengo a Glasgow, pero nunca tuve tiempo de ir. Hoy logré finalmente hacerlo y no me decepcionó. El helado de vainilla era tan cremoso y sabía como el helado "normal". El tamaño de las porciones es muy generoso y tiene un precio razonable. Esto definitivamente está en mi lista para la próxima vez que visite esta maravillosa ciudad.

Descubrí Ginesi a principios de este año y me he enganchado desde entonces. ¡Su helado no tiene parangón en sabor, textura e inventiva! Hasta la fecha, probé su vainilla vegana, caramelo salado, naranja chocolate, frambuesa, melocotón y amaretto y gelatos de saúco, ¡todo lo cual era algo fuera de este mundo! Ginesi's es el mejor helado que he probado, vegano o no vegano. ¡Mis amigos no veganos también están de acuerdo! Te has ganado un cliente de por vida en mí.

Personal encantador y el mejor helado. Siempre entra y sé una plaga, pero ese es mi trabajo. La mayoría del personal sabe que quieren ser una hamburguesa. Siempre me gusta ir por la mañana inventando bebidas extrañas y probando cosas nuevas. Si tiene una solicitud de un helado, entonces el personal hará todo lo posible para hacerlo.

Freshly made ice cream in this family run cafe. Vegan options are available, which is amazing. The traditional vanilla flavor is rich and lovely and this is just beautiful ice cream!

Estas personas hacen helado en los locales. Teníamos la opción de limón merengue, fig y ricotta Tarta de Jaffa, vainilla, Berry, y más. Tenían un par de helados vegetariano también. Hay un pequeño café y parece un poco cansado, pero no te dejes engañar. El helado es fantástico. Nos temían a la Elección tarta podría ser un error de jaffa como podría haber sido más dulce tan fácilmente. . fue perfecto. Piezas de corteza de naranja real y chocolate. Un lugar sencillo hacer una cosa realmente bien.

También conocido como Queens Cafe. Genial viejo café escuela, pequeño pero perfectamente formado, con desayunos fritos, una gran variedad de postres helados y dulces detrás del mostrador. Si quieres el sabor y el ambiente de una antigua escuela de Glasgow - café, este es el lugar. Pruebe el sabor de menta helado batido: frío, delicioso y muy refrescante. Está enfrente de la estación de tren de queens park local, 7 minutos del centro de la ciudad, y enfrente de (y no debe confundirse con) el "Queens Park Cafe", que es un pub.

Cafe es bastante pasada de moda, pero eso le da más encanto. Así como helados hacen una pequeña variedad de bebidas y sándwiches tostados calientes y snacks, etc. Es muy limpio y agradable y cálido y los propietarios son encantadores y muy amables. El helado es hechos con ingredientes frescos y orgánicos. un montón de sabores y precios muy razonables. Glories Knickerbocker de batidos gofres, etc. , todo recién hecho. Mi pequeña nos encantó y así lo hizo I. volveremos muy pronto.

He tenido la suerte de haber disfrutado el helado desde aquí durante más de 45 años. He viajado por toda Europa y este es, de lejos, el mejor.

Me decidí a pagar esta cafetería una visita después de oír todas las cosas buenas sobre mí. No estoy seguro de si es el mejor helado en Glasgow ya que estaba visitando Glasgow por una semana y la única vez que he comprado helado, pero casi no lo mejor del mundo en mi opinión.

I've been here a few times since it's so handy for the Queen's Park railway station. Properly made Italian ice cream, changing rotation of flavours, usually I get a twin cone so can enjoy comparing and contrasting two flavours, They are on Facebook too which can be informative about limited edition ice creams and well as have some tempting photos. For people who have walked round Queen's Park stopping in here makes for a nice reward for the calories you've burned off :)

For a long time I have enjoyed homemade ice cream from Queens Cafe. Last week I had salted caramel, pineapple and Irish cream and but today I enjoyed Elderberry ice cream which was beautiful but only second place. Top for me is Ricotta and Fig Ice Cream. Absolutely delicious; creamy, almost buttery yet fruity at the same time. The taste is sublime and wheel worth the journey. It is so difficult to find a good homemade ice cream these days but I have been fortunate enough today to find the best.

It is now official. For long enough we locals have thought the ice cream was the best in Glasgow but a poll today has confirmed this.If you haven't visited yet give yourself a treat the ice cream is made the old fashioned way (not from powder or bought in) from fresh organic materials and this is borne out by the superb finish.Personal favourite is traditional vanilla but the range of flavours, changed daily, and at request, is something else.Their freshly made waffles are something for a special treat and should definitely be experienced.If you haven't visited before give yourself a treat and try it. If you have you know what I am talking about and you will by now have become a regular of the "Best Ice Cream in Glasgow"

This place has the best ice cream possibly in the world.Amazing! Variety of flavours but I always go for the classic vanilla which I think is the best. It's a shabby little cafe but don't let that put you off.Best ice cream ever!!By the way- no one calls in Ginesi's so if asking for directions definitely say queens cafe.

Not much left to say really, delicious, truly delicious ice cream! In a city with many great Italian cafes this is my favourite.

I'll always pop by for some Ice Cream if I'm in the area, great to take home and keep in the freezer like I did this week. too many places sell the same ice-cream as each other but at least here you know it's home made and not available elsewhere. Highly recommend.

This Cafe has the freshest proper home made Italian ice cream in the West Coast of Scotland, matched only by Dino's Radio Cafe in Helensburgh.In Italy the Gelato maker's base product is called "fior di latte" (flower of milk) which has a sweet milk taste rather than a supermarket vanilla one, it showcases the freshness of the milk rather than hiding an inferior product using flavourings.This place is the real deal. Bueno !

Really nice ice cream in fact the best ive tasted for years. Nice friendly staff .the only negative was the single nougat I bought was a bit miserable in the ice cream portion size.

the best has yet to come, it has come at this establishment,have tasted ice cream worldwide,(including italy)on asking how they achieve such standard,David (owner) told me that unlike most ice cream parlours(which buy in a ready made mix) ginesi,s make there,s on the premises, with all ingredients being organic,on my last visit had hot wauffle (which was preprared while i was waiting) accompanied with ice cream,superb,fully recommend the visit,

In the summerI go to the Queens cafe every night after work for the best ice cream possible. They also do big tubs to take away. Give it a try.
