We arrived after a long winding drive over the mountains to a small harbour with only one road in and out.

The Potting Shed

11/08/2018: Dropped in for lunch, walking from Applecross, and we were rewarded with the sight of a magnificent stag in the grounds leading to the restaurant. The setting in the walled garden is beautiful and I'm pleased to say the food matched it. Tasty soup and a sandwich using pretzel bread were top notch. A very relaxing and laid back place to eat. Recommended.
02/10/2018: Very nice location in the old potting shed in the walled garden. Good selection of food available in characterful restaurant. Good friendly service we enjoyed our visit and can highly recommend.

Crannag Bistro

16/08/2018: A small bistro that from the outside is unassuming, and inside caters to smaller parties - definitely call ahead to avoid missing out. The hosts / chefs put together an eclectic menu with genuinely great food including cassoulet, curries, soups, interesting meat and fish with some Asian twists. Dining is a social experience with a pre-dinner drink at the bar and a chat with host and other guests. Your host Ian is nobody's fool - if you treat him with respect it will be returned in equal measure and with plenty of hospitality plus some great local knowledge. Overall a thoroughly recommended stop, and if you miss it good luck finding somewhere this good for another 100km in any direction.
26/09/2018: We’ve been dining at Crannag for years. Always leave feeling it was the most fun evening, and the food was just tops.
