Vine aquí para una comida de cumpleaños en 2018 con mi pareja. Recibimos un excelente servicio y la comida era deliciosa. El ambiente dentro del restaurante nos dejó boquiabiertos. Recuerdo haber pensado que era tan grande y que la decoración era excepcional. ¡Me encantaría volver con novias para aprovechar al máximo la pista de baile en la sección del club la próxima vez!

Fui con mi pareja por su cumpleaños y tuve la experiencia de servicio al cliente más espantosa de toda mi vida, y eso no es exagerado. Estábamos tan disgustados con la actitud de la recepcionista que decidimos irnos. Ella era grosera y tenía una actitud tan arrogante. Mantuvo el valor de nuestro cupón cuando intenté que me lo reembolsaran a través de Buyagift y cuando les expliqué lo que había sucedido, mintió y dijo que habíamos sido perjudiciales, y me quedé con el cupón.Por lo tanto, me complace ver que este lugar se ha cerrado. ¡No podría haberle sucedido a un lote mucho mejor! Ahora que es karma!

It's a beautiful restaurant with a lovely interior and a nice selection of dishes. Good for dining out with friends.

Wow, al entrar por la escalera mecánica se ve fuera de este mundo, enormes estatuas, pinturas, alfombras exuberantes y un mostrador de recepción. Reservamos para las 8 pm y me dijeron que la mesa no estaba lista, así que por favor vaya al bar, lo llamaremos, pedimos cócteles 2 Mai Thai y 2 vasos Prosecco. Nos llamaron 20 minutos más tarde, así que fui a pagar las bebidas 44 más el 10% de servicio un poco caro pero pagué.Restaurante circular masivo, cocinas abiertas, deslumbrante "..................................Ahí es donde va mal. . Manejamos nuestra comida, sopa fría, plato de inicio, pollo crudo, bocados ligeros realmente incomibles. Los envió de vuelta y decidió sacarlos de la cuenta. Pato ordenado para 4. . . . Panqueques habituales, verduras ralladas y 1 olla pequeña de salsa, pedí otra olla y me dijeron que era 5. 0. A estas alturas me estaba molestando, así que pedí un gerente, se llevó a cabo una discusión acalorada y salimos. Es una pena un lugar hermoso¿Por qué defraudar por una sobrecarga y precios exorbitantes?

The decor and food is breathtaking, I had the fish and it just melted in the mouth, we had exotic dancers with snakes come to our table which I thought was amazing, they ask before they bring said snake over, the atmosphere although busy, you felt the staff were taking time to make sure you were happy, wasn't just Bish Bash Bosh, here's your Nosh! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to return again!

Although for dinner time is a bit crowdy (the space of the restaurant is really big), the service is fast and good. It's pricey place to eat, but the food was really good. Overall, good place to visit :) we had pre-booked table.

What a stunning restaurant, with service and food to match. Service was discreet but attentive and the food exceptional. The restaurant has an amazing intricately carved wooden bar and the circular banquets Are ideal for larger groups.

I doubt I’ll be back. Gilgamesh is a vast place lacking in character. The food is mediocre. The only saving grace is the Malbec.

I liked it here a lot. Quite expensive however I really enjoyed the food here! Decor looks lovely - would be a great place for a couples date!

A saturday place. After shopping in market place time to Gilgamesh. What a huge bar counter. Interesting decoration. Need effort to understand menu. May be little bit explanation help to clarify. Not cheap obviously. Probably meet some celebrities lately, if it is important to you

Un grupo de 14 de nosotros fuimos a Gilgamesh para una comida y pedimos un menú establecido alrededor de 60 libras por cabeza.

Mi hija nos reservó un especial en Gilgamesh y luego un viaje para ver Dreamgirls en el Savoy Theatre. Reservamos para 1730 que nos permitiría una hora para la comida. Entonces el plan era salir de 1830 para llegar a ser el metro y en el teatro para 1930 para cortina. Así cómo funcionó. . . . Bien, así que nos fuimos temprano y llegamos al restaurante sobre 1615. Cócteles son 2 por 1 entre 1000 - 1900, de lunes a viernes, que funciona en 5. 75 cada uno. Así que nos fuimos a la sala y tenía un muy buen cóctel. Fui y me preguntó si podíamos comenzar la comida y el personal temprano en 1645 de acuerdo y nos llevó a nuestra mesa. Estábamos en el reservado menú especial de 3 platos. Puedes añadir a aquellos de pagar más a aproximadamente £7 un plato. La comida era muy buena, con una buena selección. Moral es date mucho tiempo para comer aquí. Resumen: personal agradable, buena ubicación, muy diferente de la noche local en casa. No puedo quejarme de la comida, la presentación o bebidas. Por su libro información comprobar especial fue de 27. 50 La cabeza con cócteles gratis. Compramos 2 cócteles extra y pan de gambas fideos. Con el 12. 5% de cargo por servicio opcional por un total de £90. En general mi voto a favor.

this is the first place where I have been since I arrived in London. in my opinion it s the best lounge in the whole Camden town. and you know there are loads of clubs and stuff. in here you can dance, eat good sushi and stuff, great tasty drinks. you can even rent a club just for you and your friends! only bad thing it is a bit expensive but this is Camden, a place for mainly tourist, even though people like Amy Winehouse, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton and The Prodigy and many others have been here!there must be a reason!

Un restaurante tan increíble que cumple con todos los requisitos. Ambiente y estética - sí, menú de bebidas - sí, servicio impecable - sí comida increíble, absolutamente. Recomendaría el dim sum de vieira como es liberar en la boca bien y el pescado japonés y patatas fritas. Vale la pena cada céntimo.

He estado aquí muchas veces pero parece que han ido un poco cuesta abajo. Fuimos a una cena de cumpleaños a finales de diciembre. El servicio no era muy bueno. Nuestra orden de bebidas no vas. La comida era buena, pero ha sido mejor. Sin embargo, el ambiente era genial el viernes noche.

The food served here is borderline inedible. The staff don’t give a toss, they know it’s terrible. And everyone else there in this dated cavernous restaurant just wants this mistake to end

My gorgeous best friends surprised me with a lovely pan Asian afternoon tea with unlimited prosecco for my birthday!!! The food was all delicious, we started with sushi, then had sliders, prawn and chicken spring rolls, prawn tempura amongst other things and finished with scones...

Came here with friends and had a wonderful time. Champagne cocktails were perfect and the food was superb. The yellow curry tasted authentic and was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend the beef Penang too. The decor is wonderful and the service is excellent. Our waitress...

I visited here over the Christmas period with a group of friends and it was intriguing! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was quite busy so would definitely recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment. The food was very tasty and good value...

We had a christmas party there last year. They were quite accommodating as we kept increasing number of people coming. Very efficient staff. Dinner was on time. We were a large party of 70! Fantastic food. We got there early and there was no where...

Food is good, cocktails are better. The restaurant is pretty and in a great location in Camden but the staff are rude and slow, we spent a great deal of money and the staff didn't seem to care that we were without drinks or food.

Bad customer service, waiters and manager very blunt and rude. Average tasting food for the price you’ll pay, my friends curry the rice was hard and the chicken was over cooked, we complained but nothing was done! After we finished eating literally put our deserts in a box and bag and rushed us off the table to leave. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going back!

We received a gift voucher for afternoon tea here, which would not have been my choice, but we enjoyed it a lot more than expected.

En primer lugar, este lugar no estaba en nuestro radar. Nos íbamos mercado Camden y fuimos por las escaleras mecánicas hasta. Así que al final nos dimos cuenta y decir oh, parece caro, pero parece increíble. A darnos un capricho. Este lugar es espléndido. Es más grande que grande por dentro. Cuando usted necesita el retrete salir a la aventura y Saca tu cabeza alrededor de puertas, es divertido, ja.

We order mint tea and it was just a water with a hint of mint. We told them they have better tea before and they ignored us. Waitress was so rude �

We came here for a 3 course meal on New Years day. We arrived just after 2pm and were the only ones there. We were seated straight away, and given the menus. We chose the sushi and ribs to start. The sushi came out after 30 minutes and it took another 10 minutes for the ribs to materialize. For mains we both had the beef bulgogi this took 40 minutes to get to the table, unfortunately the beef was cold, the herbed mash was cold, and the chips were freezing. We didn't see a waiter for another 30 minutes to speak to, we were told he had been here since 11pm the night before so was tired. Not our problem at all. The only saving grace was the pina colada sorbet. Would not recommend or return.

It was a little quiet on the night we went so not very much atmosphere, it was also very cold inside the restaurant. Food was good but we felt a little rushed, my plate was taken before I’d finished.

This was business lunch therefore service was crucial. Great food and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Too expensive to eat in, ridiculous priced starters, three foods chosen arrived cold, bar tender / drinks mixer had no clue how to mix a simply rum and coke, not enough choice on the menu, non recognition of my £80 deposit, on the bill total at the end of the night, it took myself and friend 15 minutes to get out of the building, because there wasn't clear exit signs and last but not least, you need to be a weight lifter to adjust the chair prior to sitting as well as getting up, as their very very heavy. Otherwise, to each their own ☹

We went on NYE: Whilst the waiter was lovely, the food seemed all over the place, and it wasn’t always easy to get a drink. The first 2/3’s of music were awful. My friend joked at one point ‘it’s like the DJ hates is.” At midnight, the build up was incredibly disappointing, and the music played a version of Auld Lang Syne, which was just tragic. I spoke to the manager early on in the night and he did not listen with the empathic ear that you would expect from an authoritarian of such an establishment, and only would defend; he took great pride in telling me his name and that he was the GM. It was highly embarrassing for the venue. I will not being returning and felt it only appropraite to share my experience. Price tag: £85 (before drinks) Rating: 1/5

I’m gobsmacked to read a review giving one star on the same night my partner and I visited. The food was fantastic, the staff were great fun and very knowledgeable about the menu, and the atmosphere was electric. I had the bulgogi with pak Choi which was absolutely cooked to perfection, our waiter Mario gave amazing service, and had us both in stitches. Our new local haunt in Camden I think! 10/10

We came here after getting a voucher through buyagift from my partner's mum. Firstly the restaurant itself looks like an empty Eden project surrounded by pantomime scenery. It was only around a quarter full with the few tables taken up all huddled in a corner and very poor and odd atmosphere.Secondly the food is definitely not worth the price on the menus - we were really glad we had a voucher as we certainly wouldn't have forked out for food of that standard. I had the Thai chicken curry - my boyfriend thought I'd ordered the vegetarian option as it had so few chunks of meat in it and the sauce was not nearly as good as some supermarket versions!Thirdly, the waiters seemed to have no idea what was going on. We had a 50minute wait between our starters and mains. After 30minutes our waiter even asked us "have you had your mains yet?" - he should know! Then whilst waiting way too long again for desert (what would it have been like if it had been busy??!) he asked "you haven't had your deserts yet?" - no - to which he then said "for god's sake!" - yeah mate, we felt frustrations too!Of course the calamitous evening ended badly too. We asked for a couple of drinks to be taken off due to us being served 3 courses over a 2 1/2 hour period despite being very quiet. This was agreed but when the bill came we were told we could only have the OPTIONAL service charge removed and we would need to pay for all drinks. We questioned the waiter how this was the decision of the manager and not us as to whether we gave the tip or not?! We then asked to see the manager to discuss this, who went AWOL. We then got another bill with the 2 drinks taken off but the "optional" tip still being charged for on the bill. We informed the staff that unfortunately we hadn't changed our minds and still weren't going to pay that for the standard of service we'd received.Frankly there are countless other better and cheaper eateries in London!

Genuinely great atmosphere, food and staff. I would like to be critical but can’t really fault it. Will return. Waiter was attentive, seemed like he cared and was thorough and consistent.

Went for our Work Christmas Dinner and was really disappointed with the set food menu, it was OVERPRICED and NOT WORTH what was paid, the Turkey option was 2 slices of Turkey with 4 bite sized roast potatoes which could pass as 1 cut into 4, NOT IMPRESSED and no vegetables, some gravy and a bit of cranberry sauce. The Dessert was supposed to come with Banana Ice-Cream which never arrived. Some staff were nice others not so much. Wouldn’t really recommend going here, much preferred Shaka Zulu. The interior decor was nice though.

Had our Christmas ‘do’ here. Was not impressed at all. Everywhere was booked! Got the impression of ‘commerce over comfort ‘. Staff were mechanical to the point of rudeness. I found them quite unyielding and inflexible considering we had 70 plus people in our party. Nice decor ... rude staff, overpriced food and drinks.Waste of time and money...unimpressive night club.Won’t be going back in a hurry!!

My meal was delicious, I could not fault it, from the starter to the dessert. All the dishes looked and tasted amazing. The only downside was the chilly seating area, it had been snowing outside and the resturant heaters did not seem to warm up the area at all.

Staff were very friendly and helpful here, especially when we wanted to change tables. The Sushi was very good, along with the deserts. Music can be a little loud at times, however this was ok.

Had a great evening at Gilgamesh last night, the atmosphere was buzzing. Staff were very busy but kept on it, food was amazing as well as there cocktails. Would recommend this place for friends gathering together to celebrate any occasion.

Very nice decor, lavish and fun. The food is ok, nothing amazing, but a good service. The music is too loud and quiet conversation difficult.

Attended as part of a large hen do , which the organizer had booked with a set menu deal . Cool venue , party atmosphere and stylish decor . Food was OK for the cost ( we paid about £20 for 3 courses and a welcome drink! ) - pretty good however they do not serve actual “Sweet Chilli Sauce “ - they serve like hot sauce - please fix this ! Not nice stuff . The Thai Green curry was like pea soup with literally 3 bits of meat and the portion of chips as a side was tiny . Pudding was lovely !

Really good food, fun night, but was kind of ruined by them bringing over the bill before we'd even asked for it and telling us we had to move (hadn't even finished our wine) because it turned into a club in 30 mins. By this stage every other table was empty - it would not have impacted them to leave us there for another 15 mins.

The food was average, cutlery and dining area was dirty. Not worth the money, I’ve tasted better Thai food. Service was good but was busy as it was Christmas period. I wouldn’t recommended this place for dinner but the club was excellent and drinks are at a decent price.

Delicious food, friendly and professional service and perfect ambience. All in all it is a fantastic establishment. Every time I visit with my missus we enjoy every minute of our experience and leave with a smile on our face. The staff really pay attention to all your concerns to ensure you are completely satisfied with the food and happy with the service.

Really nice food, and we got a seat in the bar after and made a night of it. Really fun overall.

Initially impressive with the overall aesthetic and ambience but the evening felt like 'manufactured fun' - not at all what we were looking for. Admittedly Christmas parties were in full swing and tables were being turned over rapidly. Certainly not a place to go if you want to catch up with friends leisurely. The cloakroom facilities for the size of the venue were awful! We were unable to leave our bags and coats and when the girls at the front desk were challenged, they became hostile. We were rushed through our meal with a constant reminder by the waiter that we would need to leave in 2 hours! When the food arrived, it was warm and mediocre for the price. A really disappointing experience and we will not return.

The building and its architecture is superb, and the service is pretty good. But the food was disappointing. Proportions to small, especially the steak, and not the standard I expected. Great place to be in, but the food needs to be improved. I would prefer to pay more for higher quality food.

Took clients for dinner and the overall atmosphere and food was very nice.

Visited for lunch and opted for the set menu. It was not busy but the music level was very intrusive for conversation. However, the service was attentive throughout, not rushed but efficient and friendly.The starter of duck spring rolls was delicious, and the green Thai curry was also tasty and substantial. The salmon and the beef signature dish were also well received, and a choice of desserts to finish did not disappoint.This is clearly more of an evening venue, but I suspect the noise levels when it is busy are much louder than we would prefer.

Excellent service and food in a lovely environment.

We made a stop just for a drink and because they didn’t have any Captain Morgan’s rum, the waiter suggested another spiced rum which was an incredible discovery. Yummy banana flavour ! I definitely recommend

Gilgamesh is always fun. The environment is special, nothing else like it that I've seen. It's a really good option for a special, something different night out.

We chose this venue for a works Xmas do on the basis it had food, a nice bar and a club. Both the bar and the club were privately hired out so we could not use them, so we ended up spending most of the time at our tables, which wasn’t the plan. The staff at the front desk blamed head office, and didn’t offer any sympathy. Poor organisation and communication.

Attended our company christmas party, was initially wowed by the venue but was very quickly greeted with exceptionally rude door staff and front desk. We had a private room organised for about 50 people.During the course of the night i felt that the security were just looking for excuses to kick people out, they were over the top with 2 of our party as one was unfortunately sick and rather than try to help their first response was to boot them out and then kicked out the other person for trying to help. They wandered the premises and made people feel on edge and unable to enjoy themselves in case they were threatened with being told to leave. I totally get they need to make sure there is no trouble but it is christmas and people want to have fun and they were trying to stop that.Would 100% never return to this venue for anything, a night out is supposed to be fun but their over zealous staff were eager to ensure our fun was kept to a minimum.

Great restaurant for special occasions or an evening out with friends. Although very busy on a Saturday night we did not have to wait long for our food. I would visit again.

It was generally good the service is good but the restaurant itself isn’t amazing if you want ambience but for food and service definitely good!

Have been to Gilgamesh before and always raved about it so decided to take my sister for early Christmas celebrations. We arrived for our 8.45pm table at 8.30pm and were told it wasn't ready and to wait in the bar. Half an hour passed and still no news on our table so we asked the hostess again and finally at 9.20pm she was able to clean a table and sit us down. Once sat, a further 25 minutes passed without any service. We weren't offered a drink or any nibbles to pick on while we waited. We ended up having to go and get a waiter to take our order, they seemed to be serving all other tables but not ours. He apologised and said he'd take care of us from now on and make sure we received a discount. After that our drinks order was wrong, and then still no discount was applied to our bill, we had to ask them to do it again. The food was fantastic so it was such a shame that the terrible service really let them down. It's busy and it's Christmas but we booked weeks in advance so they knew we were coming! Very disappointing.

Sadly did not meet our expectations, we were recommended to restaurant by friends. lunch for 4 mid week, we were one of only 3 tables in there ,our waiter was fairly good , drinks took a long time to arrive ( even though restaurant was not busy ) food was okay but nothing special! I guess the atmosphere would be better when it's busy, or perhaps in the evening, however we may of struggled with drinks ... Such a shame as there is some fantastic food on there doorstep !

Ate here last night on a voucher, booking was complicated but was not the restaurants fault and Alex? Was very patient. Food delicious, thanks to Marios? Our waiter who was very attentive. Surroundings, definitely worth a visit if you are in Camden and want to be spoiled.

The service was excellent, and it was relatively quiet for a Sunday lunch which was refreshing.

Horrendous cold food , sat for over an hour before food arrived , main course came sides arrived 15 mins after , no drink orders taken , staff didn’t know about the menu and packages. Very expensive!!!! Got asked to wait in bar while table was being prepared, and someone will get us. No one came so went back to reception to be told are table nearly got cancelled even though we had told them we were then. Very bad. Overall don’t waste your money and pick a different venue. Asked for money off which was very hard work and ended up in an argument.

Poor, Poor and Poor. I have never been so dissatisfied with a more 'high end' restaurant. Waited around an hour for the two dishes which was absolutely appalling.Customer service was disgustingly awful. Asked two waiters for a cup of water and they did not bring it. I then had to get up and go to the bar to collect the water myself.If you are looking to go there for a special occasion please please please think again!

It was a lovely pleasure to celebrate a 50th Birthday with a lovely atmosphere & respectable staff throughout our visit. The food was outstanding & would definitely recommend any birthday celebrations!

Poor service and poor food. Took over an hour to bring out our main course, then had to wait an extra 25 minutes for water to be served to our table. Food was overrated and severely over priced for what we got. Cocktails also didn't taste very nice and were overpriced aswell. Overall bad experience which ruined the special occasion we went for.

Arrived to a very warm welcome. Our server Lucio Versace was not only charming but very attentive. Didn't feel at anytime we were on a special price deal Afternoon Tea which I have noticed on other groupon offers. Food good. Unlimited Prosecco was free flowing and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this venue and I've already booked lunch in December to try the sushi experience. I'll update later on that Congratulations to the management for staff morale.

Great menu, very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant was a bit chilly however this did not spoil the overall experience. A very special thank you to our waiter Davide as we were a handful and he always kept a smile on his face and attented to us very well.

After a few drinks we got out table at 2:45 PM. We chose our "center-of-table" items from the á la carte menu. We had crispy duck pancakes, various tempura, sushi selection, sashimi selection, Gilgamesh roll, Waguy beef and more. An impeccable service and fantastic food at a round sofa table, overlooking the busy floor and bar. Best service and best food for a very long time, all set in an almost surreal thematic surrounding. Went there for business large - it was fairly quiet but in the winter it felt a bit cold because it doesn't have a proper roof (its like in a purpose built marquee). However the restaurant is very ornate and intricate - feels very special.

we went in the middle of the week around 6pm. we got the groupon deal- 3 course and a cocktail. Firstly - the cocktail was packed with ice and hardly much in it. Starters- was the best thing. Main-Was ok Desert - very small portion We Paid £22.50 ( Not Bad ) but if it was more I wouldn't have booked it. Plus the place was very cold- heaters didn't work.

This was a works outing so we were eagerly looking forward to visiting Gilgamesh as we'd heard a lot of good things about the place.Initially the service was attentive and good - drinks were ordered and orders for starters and main courses were placed.The starters were very nice - I had the duck spring rolls and a colleague next to me had spare ribs - both starters were delicious.For my main I had the teriyaki steak which was cooked well. Another colleague ordered the chicken dish which unfortunately was served with a long black hair!!! He discovered it half way through his meal - needless to say our group of nine diners were horrified.Personally I think the restaurant could have dealt with the situation better. We understand that, regretfully, these things can happen - but decisive action can go a long way to make amends.The dish was still included on the bill and was only deducted when we insisted on it being deducted. Service charge was included, which we didn't pay. A solitary glass of wine was offered complimentary when a bottle for the table would have been a better gesture.

What can I say the food is exceptional and the portions are reasonable. The only problem was the waiting time but also our waiter was not very fourth coming but would take that that based on him being a newby.The presentation of the food was good but this restaurant is for that special occasion .

Dress up boys and girls.I went on a Saturday night with a girlfriend for cocktails and food, and had the best time.It's a vast 'flash' place with an exciting vibe / ambience.Our cocktails were delicious and the food was mouth watering, washed down with a great wine.The bill came in at around £200 for the night, so not your every day eaterie, but for special occasions (and there were a few going on), it's a sure thing.The waiter told us that there was music and dancing later in the cocktail bar, but NOT being in our 20's, sadly the energy levels just weren't up for the wait, but I am sure it's great too.Really great night.Highly recommended

I didn t find the right environment promise me by the man at door:Starting from the waiters. I found them really impertinent and without class. Me and my girlfriend asking if was normal the hotness of food, the waiter answered to my girlfriend if was the her to be spice or the food. I find this kind of behaviour really inopportune and not kind. This is not the kind of manner the you expect to find in normal restaurant. Me and my girlfriend remained disgusted from the poor manner of them. Passing on the dinner aspect I find the food very far from the expectative. If it didn't sufficiency, even the soy sauce bottle on the our table had dirt remained on the side and was finished. The price is too high for which is proposed.

I very much enjoyed the time I had with my lady at Gilgamesh. Romantic dimmed lights and fantastic friendly service. The waiter named Bradley was an absolute star. We will be back.

We had a lovely time here. Unlike normal afternoon tea there was slightly more savoury food which I thought was good! We were served about 6/7 glasses of prosecco over the two hours. Overall a really nice afternoon tea

I was brought the wrong food after pointing to what I wanted on the menu. I didnt realise until the bill came as the food I was brought was alot more expensive, when I tried to rectify the issue the staff were very rude and patronising and blamed me for not knowing I was given the wrong thing. (What I ordered and what I was brought both had the same description when we checked the menu after).

We visited one Sunday in early November for their Pan-Asian afternoon tea with free flowing prosecco. The food selection was really quirky and we enjoyed every mouthful as well as the free flowing fizz!! It was quite busy so a nice atmosphere and after our two hours for tea had finished, we moved over to the bar area.My only negative was that the aircon was on when it was quite a cold day making the afternoon rather draughty.

Had a lovely time and the food was lovely. Music was modern and funky.

We had to wait 20 mins for our table. No apology. Rude staff. Service very slow. Food not very nice. Noodle dish so salty it was inedible. Waiter rude. Manager gave some discount but it still cost £80. Most disappointing joint birthday celebration with my daughters. Manager said he would email me about this but have heard nothing after 2 weeks. I emailed Gilgamesh this week expressing my disappointment but they have not replied.

The restaurant is very nice , but very busy when went on Saturday , very noisy had to shout to be heard, the good was nice but husband said the portions could have been bigger. We both agreed it was very expensive, ok for once a year treat or special occasion.

Excellent food, drink and service.

We waited some time before being given a glass of Prosecco and another ten minutes before being given our food which was not very inspiring with no attempt at presentation. We had to ask for a second glass of Prosecco which meant that for some time we were eating with nothing to drink. Then we requested tea and just had two cups of tea put down in front of us, no choice of teas, no teapot etc. Bizarrely, as we were preparing to go, suddenly we were poured another glass of Prosecco, even though we were patently on our way out. The food was very average and some salmon bites and sushi came up as we were in the middle of the cakes. The surroundings are beautiful and original, but the quality of food and service do not live up to what one might expect.

A return visit after six months found us enjoying the dishes at Gilgamesh even more than before. We chose from the Hanging Gardens set-menu starting with Pork & prawn shu mai, delicious dumplings packed with the mixed ingredients. The BBQ pork ribs were meaty and served with a nicely sticky and tasty sauce. The main course of Char-baked salmon fillet with miso seemed to have more flavour than usual in this particular seafood, and the Thai green chicken curry with its thick gravy plus lychees, asparagus, green beans and holy basil had real fire in it. The Pan-Asian menu offers a great choice of sushi, sashimi, makizushi, dim sum, as well as curries and meat and fish cooked either on the Robata grill or in the Wok. Then there's the amazing décor of assembled artefacts to enjoy in the huge space that forms the restaurant. We ended the meal with Mango cheesecake and Strawberry and yuzu tart and a couple of fine cocktails. With such good food and drinks and friendly and helpful attention from our waiter Michele, who could ask for anything more?

Brought a couple of clients to Gilgamesh over from another country. After finishing our starters we were greeted by two mice at our table to which te manager on the night asked if we were 100% sure we saw mice...... He said it's the first time he's ever heard of this in the restaurant however I checked reviews online and it does not seem to be the first time this has happened. I was offered 25% off the bill which I paid at the time but I do not believe this was satisfactory customer service at all...

Went there for birthday dinner. We were two of us. Big space, which was very empty. It was a Monday evening so it was ok. Tables were very close, so no privacy. Unfortunately both tables on our sides were very loud. Waitress never came to check whether everything was ok with food. The food was bad. I didnt have much meat in my curry. There was lots of fat in the meat and also a bone. The Meat dish of my friend which cost 35 Pounds was dry and tasted old. It is unbelievable for a restaurant to charge that much money for this low quality. I wanted to exclude the Service charge but didnt do it because I was with a girl. This would have been the second time in 7 years in the UK. I think that says everything. I read other reviews, and saw that many people have exactly the same complaint. I seriously do not recommend it. For 88 Pounds I could have gotten so much better food. I am surprised to say the least that this restaurant still exist.
