Food is really tasty and service very good, we both enjoyed it very much, will always come back!

The restaurant was busy but there seemed to be plenty of staff but no organisation as to who was responsible for our table . So we were asked the same questions several times. The cocktails were good but part of our first course didn’t arrive and we had to make several attempts to get someone’s attention to get it. I asked ( as per website advice I think) about the spiciness of a dish and was told it wasn’t spicy. It was! It was a duck dish and was also very fatty and little meat for almost £18. I wish she had checked if she wasn’t sure or maybe suggested that I go with a dish without chilli.

Amazing Thai food. Had the slow cooked beef and steak curry with jasmine rice. Flavours were amazing. Beautiful food.

Not bad. I thought £70+ for lunch without alcohol was quite expensive for 2 of us. The good bit was the new street food starter which we should of had 2 of. I chose chicken and cashew nut stir fry however you have to order the rice/noodles separately. My partner chose a fish dish which was not good, everything fried with no sce which made the meal very dry. Waitress was kind enough to offer us a sce to go with it but tbh she should have recognised that we weren't enjoying it and offered a replacement I think.

Great recommendations by staff to meet out varied dietary needs. Wonderful experience. Can't get enough of the morning glory side dish.

Average standard Thai food. No spectacular dishes. It is a chain and it shows. I went for my birthday with family and friends, There was a constant stream of delivery drivers coming in to the centrally located reception area, and going out. Not only constant commotion, but also leaving the front door open as it didn't shut on its own, with a cold draft coming in. Expensive for mediocre and fairly standard Thai dishes. Will not be going again.

I visited this establishment with the wife and baby, the food was very tasty with good sized portions so we were both pleased with that. Enjoyed the Thai wine, but did feel that it was slightly overpriced for the quality of the food. A bit more seasoning and this may be a different story! Overall, I will go again, but I will not be desperate to go as I was this time around. Would recommend the red curry!

Requested a delivery and I was never more disappointed with a delivery service. The sizes of the meals are just ridiculous small, called the restaurant and all they said was “sorry”. This was definitely the last time I’ll order something from this restaurant.

Stopped for lunch. Easy to book a table online. Customer service was great! Noodles and vegetable spring roles taste good. Had to ask for no fried egg in noodles. Overall, it was a great restaurant.

I recently hit up this Thai joint, and let me tell you, it was off the charts! The food? Unreal. Seriously, I could eat their Pad Thai every day for the rest of forever. And the service? Top-notch, especially from the managers. They were on it like nobody's business. But here's the thing: a couple of the young waiters seemed more into their own convo than their job, which didn't scream professionalism. Still, overall, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Food and atmosphere were great but the staff were a little slow to serve and we had to catch their attention every time (despite the restaurant being fairly empty). They also gave us our main meals without first clearing the starter plates. My meal wasn't as expensive as I had assumed it would be.

Wonderful place to eat, such a variety of food...we had massaman curry, cashew stir fry, sticky chicken and pad Thai. Every dish was delicious and we had really good service from Jessica. Only very minor bit is when the restaurant is busy it gets hard to hear each other! The service was top notch, attentive and communicative always checking we were ok.

Manager of this shop very kind, I went there with my partner for his part time job interview and I also ordered food there, when I was on the call and doing my work, one of the staff came straight to me and impolitely told me to move out with not good tone, I’m not sure because I come here with my partner for job interview but I did order food here as a customer, but she treat me differently, I can’t say anything at that time but it’s not good experiences to be treat like that.

Busy charming and welcoming. Mediocre Thai style food. Glutinous noodles. Rice in a lump and stir fry sauces unexciting and uncooked. I had duck which was nauseating.

Excellent first trip to Giggling Squid in Wokingham on Saturday night. Place was packed which gave it a great atmosphere. Did mean the service was slightly slower than we would have liked, but being picky, and definitely wouldn't have traded it for the good atmosphere. Food was delicious and will definitely be back!

Beautiful vegan meal for two. The food is so fresh, served on lovely china and very filling. The service was wonderful, such a beautiful woman who looked after us, she was a delight. And we loved the tea! We will definitely be back as soon as we can - thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Lunch came to about £35 excluding drinks and we were absolutely stuffed full. Friendly waiting staff. Lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent with just enough choice. For a chain restaurant - but having never been to a Giggling Squid restaurant - I can highly recommend. We will certainly be back.

Popped in for midweek dinner after our wedding to enjoy our honeymoon before heading back to work! The service was friendly and accommodating however the food this time let us down with our visit. Our starters didn’t have much flavour and our mains weren’t the best still membrane on the squid and was chewy and the fish tasted really fishy and chicken strips were too greasy and tasted like oil needed to be changed! Our visit wasn’t what we expected this time around but would happily book again in the future to try again as we love Thai food! At the time of our visit there was also a few bigger tables which were clearly getting more attention which we understand but need to remember the smaller tables too. The service we received was nice and the gent servicing us understood the issues with our food and generously took some money off the bill for us! We will return in a few months but not anytime soon!

I love the restaurant! We always go for lunch and it never disappoints. The decoration is very tasteful and was made for customers to feel good and thus enjoy their meals. It's very clean too. The Staff is attentive and kind. It's indeed a 5 star in service and food 🤩

Just amazing. Stunning food, great service. Despite of the restaurant being very full and busy we did not need to wait for our food too long. The downside is that from all she excitement we forgot to take our take away bag with food from the table and it was too far to come back when we realised, I can’t tell you how gutted we were ! :( will return again for sure and truly can’t wait.

We have eaten here with friends several times recently as the food and service are just so good. Staff are efficient, friendly and really create a lovely atmosphere in such a busy restaurant. We tend to treat the meal like tapas and share dishes which allows everyone to sample a wide variety of dishes. Everything we have tried has been well cooked, tasty and beautifully presented and we particularly love the Sea Bass, Confit Duck and Sticky Chicken. Really the only issue is the lack of choice in desserts, although I did enjoy trying the sesame ice cream.

A dissapointing visit on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is obviously doing well as we couldn't book a table till after 8pm, calling about 3 days ahead. On arrival we were met with a throng of delivery drivers hoovering outside (as well as the usual smokers) and then spent 10 minutes in a queue waiting to be seated. The food, when it eventually came, was of the usual standard, no complaints there, but between the constant and endless parade of said delivery drivers (and the draught from the open door) and the hour wait on our own food our mood had substantialled soured by the time we left. Seems the kitchen can't handle both on a busy evening, probably to the detriment of both types of diners. I declined the 'additional' service charge and our server did keep apologising for the delays. Please do consider this if you're thinking of dining here on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Should not make order through Deliveroo takes 1 hours orders keep cooking for hours . Not complaining on drivers but cooking time is usually 45 Minutes or nearly 1 hours.

I would have preferred to have been able to contact the head office team to give this feedback but alas they do not provide a way to give feedback/ get in touch on their website so I have to resort to leaving a Google review. Please consider that perhaps the staff at this chain were having a bad day, as we all can but my experience was really not what you expect from a relatively pricey Thai restaurant. Food: the fast majority of food is loaded with sugar making it sickly sweet. This includes the starters, pad thai mains and so on. Everything was under seasoned otherwise and lacked any flavours truly representing what Thai food should provide you with. A massaman curry was lazy with the spices barely blended and completely unbalanced. The meal was nothing short of the worst thai experience I’ve ever had in the UK in a restaurant. Staff: inexperienced, multiple mistaken orders, lacked knowledge of the menu and what options were available. Took orders with adjustments to dishes for children but then brought the meals as advertised. However, they were friendly and seemed to try their best. I understand that there are catering staff challenges for many companies but clearly an urgent need for training at this restaurant, especially given the fact that the place was not even at half capacity with at least 4 servers. Given the above I really do not recommend this restaurant and suggest you find a cheaper, non-chain, alternative!

Real variety on the menu. Great tasting food (curries are hot). Remember to add rice because you'd think a curry would come with it but doesn't.

The starters and mains that the adults had were all brilliant, wouldn't change a thing. Service was friendly and efficient, and the lychee prosecco was lovely! Would go back again in a heartbeat.

Best Valentine’s Day dinner at Giggling Squid. The servers were very attentive and the food was delicious!! Will definitely been back soon. We had a lovely lady with a love heart top and red skirt on who looks after us all night and made the whole experience even better

The curries were sugary sweet, less meat & the lamb was still with all its furr. Staff was overwhelmed. Staff gave some discount though for the dish.

Love the atmosphere. Very nice service, great food and reasonable prices. Sometimes the spiciness can be too much, it varies from place to place and I can tolerate spices pretty well.

Had a great meal with a friend. First Saturday night out in ages.

Rang in to see if they did gluten free options and some dishes were recommended. I placed the order giving my delivery address and reiterated that the dishes needed to be gluten free because of celiac disease. Was told it would be an hour for delivery. Waited and called back just over an hour later and was told sorry we don’t deliver you need to go through Deliveroo! Don’t understand why they didn’t say that and why take my address?! So literally drove over to pick it up just before they closed. Sick immediately after eating as was glutened!! Furious as it’s ruined my weekend and having to spend it in bed with painkillers! Fair to say I will not be using them again

It's not authentic Thai by any means. Food arent great and the price is quite steep for what you get. Just dont go there if you want good Thai food. However the place is warm with nice decor and the employees are nice and polite.

My first visit to the Giggling Squid in Wokingham. Booked a table the evening before with no problem. The venue is light and cosy with welcoming and tentative staff. The food we ordered which included salt pepper squid, vegetable spring rolls, chicken pad Thai and stir fried cashews, nuts and jasmine rice were all hot and very tasty. Would like to come again and happy to recommend to others.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal at Giggling Squid last night. Our waitress Sophie was an absolute star and her colleague Chris was very attentive too. We had squid and beef sticks for starter and curry for main. My Paneang curry turned out to be a bit too spicy for me and was quickly swapped to a milder version. My husband had a few bourbon cocktails which he loved. Amazing staff makes such a difference, we will certainly be back soon!

I don’t often write an un-asked for review but in this day and age of sloppy/don’t care service, I just thought I’d say that the service at the Giggling Squid last night was brilliant. The staff were busy (a full restaurant, another good sign) but they were always at our table just when we needed them. They were polite and accommodating. The food was tasty too. There’s a good vegetarian and vegan selection on the menu. I’ll definitely go there again if I get the chance to.
