Plenty of flavors to choose from. Was busy when we went, but the line moved quickly. Staff was friendly. No indoor seating and somewhat limited outdoor seating. We went there twice during our stay in town.

This is always a treat as there is a whole range of flavours to choose from. My grandsons and I enjoyed pondering over this. nice ice-cream with generous portions provided.

The stowaway coffee co.

25/04/2019: Inge and Marleen, sisters from South Africa, were serving food and coffee the day we called. The Stowaway makes little concession to comfort, tucked away under the road leading downhill to the harbour, but the wooden benches and tables offer an intimate and cosy experience on the interior. We chose to return early the following day to enjoy their company again, having the advantage of great conversation to go with the drinks and buns.
17/05/2019: Tucked away on the slip road into the harbour this place is a real gem . Great coffee in a tiny cafe with plenty of things to do .. quirky books, games to play while you sip your coffee .. paper and crayons for children .. you could easily wile away a happy hour in here ..

Fire & ice

18/05/2019: Terrific range of gins, tried out the ‘gelato’ absolutely scrummy. Lovely people, bought seaweed gin and a bottle of Salcombe gin. Really pleased to support local businesses. Many thanks!!!
12/08/2019: Visited specifically for the gelato but this shop also does a fantastic range of craft beers and gin. We were served by the gentleman that makes the gelato and he was friendly and engaging. We had a right good chat while he piled our ice creams higher & higher! As a vegan I chose one of the sorbets which was so smooth, crystal free and absolutely delicious. The rest of the family had a variety of sorbet and ice cream flavours and all were greedily devoured. I will happily make a detour to visit this place if I’m even vaguely in the area again.
