Window service only. Long queue, we assumed it would be good and we were right. I had an ice-cream oyster with two chocolate flakes, he had a chocolate waffle boat. £10 for both, huge portions, lots of toppings. Even the sun was shining as we demolished our sweet treats. Highly recommended

Excellent breakfast here. The vegie version was UNREAL and the Godfather breakfast was excellent too. Service was stunning, super friendly staff, the children felt realy welcome and we've loved it. Would absolutely come back.

Friendly staff with food being really tasty and delicious. However when customers outside were being served ice cream the cafe became extremely cold maybe a door can be a fitted to keep out the cold air that ciculates into the cafe.

Lovely place. Our second visit while visiting my mother in law in Billingham. The food was amazing. We had various dishes and desserts, which was amazing. The portions were big too and couldn't finish it.

Didn't have food, only hot drinks so can't comment on the food. Milkybar hot chocolate Hazelnut Cappuccino Will be back. Staff friendly Place was very festive l lovely decorations 😊 🎅🌲

A funky interior, lots of interest while you enjoy your visit - the scooter stools are amazing. Just popped in to warm up with hot chocolate... Loved the variations available.

Was met at the side we're they serve the ice cream by a lovely young lady ,we were asking about the soft scoop ice cream but as you couldn't see them the young lady suggested we go into the shop which was empty and then it went downhill as a senior member of staff was rude and obnoxious to us ,telling us there's a board at the front,but I wanted to see/pick my ice cream,the young lady returned to say after you've picked I'll serve you at the front meaning we had to que again ,we wouldn't off waited but we had a 2n half year old who was waiting for her ice cream,shame because the ice cream is nice and we won't return due the jobsworth manager or senior staff , could do with a course in customer service ,looking at other reviews people seem the same about this individual,sorry but your gonna loose custom,she speaks down to staff in front of paying customers, feel sorry for the staff

Lovely little place to visit after a brisk walk on the beach. Right on the front and easy to find with a car park right behind it (pay and display). Not just an ice cream parlour it also serve lovely food, we had panini’s and they were delicious. Afterwards we obviously indulged in an ice cream of which there a numerous flavours to choose from. The interior decor is of an American ice cream parlour with lovely padded seats and booths, very clean. Service is friendly and quick. We will be returning to try something different from the menu.

Staff are always great. Chef came out to personally apologise because my food would take a little longer. Which I thought was nice. The food everytime I've been has been amazing. Sometimes the is a wait and sometimes you'll be waiting a bit. But the end result are really good. Highly recommend going if you looking to sit down for a meal.

Just had a fabulous afternoon tea for my daughters birthday, food was delicious, gorgeous ample selection of sandwiches, buns, small soup, warm quiche and sausage rolls, delicious cakes, scone with jam and cream, triffles and strawberries dipped in chocolate with never ending supply of tea and small bottle of prosecco! Excellent service staff so pleasant and friendly definitely will be back, best by far! And definitely recommend!!!

Bit of an eclectic mix. A tad pricey, and the metal teapots are ridiculous for leaking all over the place

This place is very poor for customer service was meet rather abruptly on the door by a lady who told us to wait. We asked for a table but was told it would be 10mins and we where to wait. The place was empty lots of tables available when I enquired I was told again to wait. So we just left obviously they don’t need customers and staff need customer service training shame as the placed look really nice inside.

This is the magical Ice Cream parlour we all wished for as children. The menu is so vast, Sundaes, waffles, milkshakes and some amazing hot food. The Parmos are simply amazing, the pizzas fantastic and melts magical Not got time to sit in... fine go to the side window and go for one of their special cones. Make a detour to come here you will not be dissapointed. If Michelin gave stars for ice cream Jojo's would have three. Just wanted to add that I went here today (31st August 2023) for their afternoon tea for the first time. It was amazing and after sampling others up and down the country can safely say you will not get better.

We arrived without a booking as a party of eight. We were welcomed and given a massive table set into an alcove. This was great because we had four children (3, 6, 9 and 12) with us and the banquette seating was perfect. Making a choice from the menu took a while but we didn’t feel in any way that we were being rushed. The gelato sundaes were delicious as were the two savoury dishes we ordered. Every plate and sundae dish was emptied. The very friendly waitress even took a group photo for us. We’ll be back!

Walked in to find out if we could have a table (keep in mind there was about 10 empty tables between the front and back of the building) the rude woman abruptly just went no, no tables you have to book! There was no one waiting for tables so they must be occupied by ghosts! By the looks of the other past reviewers this place needs to shut its doors for a week and go on a crash course of manners and customer service because it’s clearly lacking it! In this day and age where restaurants and venues are shutting their doors at such a fast pace she should have some respect for people who put money in her till!

Lovely morning in Seaton Carew. Nice fresh walk along the front gave way to an appetite for breakfast. Full English, two sizes On offer grandfather and mama. We were not disappointed with the smaller option, perfect with a pot of tea. Shall definitely return...soon.

Long wait at the ice cream take away window as usual. There is not enough space for the staff to work in so it ties a long time for each customer to be served. The staff waiting on in the restaurant also use the same space for their customers. They need more space to serve for a better customer service. Ice cream great as always.

Lovely place, but really expensive. Not worth the money.😔 Our ice creams and waffle looked nothing like the pictures.

Lovely little ice cream kiosk on the beach front. Lots of choices of ice cream and drinks but little confusing..... See on the menu the flavours look just like "proper" ice cream as in tubs of flavoured ice cream that gets scooped out and placed onto the cone but actually it's "Mr Whippy" style ice cream with sprinkles of said flavour over the top. The ice cream was delicious and served with a lovely wafer to top it off and very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly. I would come back again if we were in the area.

What a lovely ice cream parlour in Seaton Carew Beautiful inside, lots of seating areas, immaculate. Ooh the ice creams, the choices, the waffles wow, absolutely delicious and good portions and importantly really good value for money. Staff really friendly and helpful.

Messed up order yet still had to pay

We found this gem of a cafe while walking on a very wet & windy day. The staff were very welcoming and immediately found us a lovely big table to sit at. The drinks were lovely - especially the hot chocolate. Only wish we had time to stay and try some food. The venue is beautiful decorated throughout & incredible clean and tidy.

Visiting Seaton on a wet and windy day thought it would be best to sit somewhere with kids and keep them dry . Was made to wait 5 mins at the door by someone who had such a stinking attitude horrible chubby blonde girl with glasses. Definitely needs more customer service training. When finally seated was made to wait another 10 mins before order taken then I wish I didn’t bother kids were getting restless as was over 45 mins for food order would not recommend this place at all a wasted journey and overpriced pre cooked food by the looks of it

Lovely bright and clean cafe. We only had a coffee and cake but the ice cream looks amazing. Reasonable prices and green staff.

We visit JoJos at least 3 tomes every year on holiday and normally we love it. Unfortunately this year was not the best experience, there were 5 of us, 3 having waffles, I did finish my waffle but it was stale and the other 2 ate around half. When I went to pay I advised this and was made to feel as if I was lying, and i was advised that no one else had complained, so disappointed and definitely won't be back. The lady asked what I wanted them to do and said that when she asked if everything was OK I said yes, which was the case however I hadn't eaten my waffle yet. We did eat some of it but the waffles were either stale or not heated up properly (not sure which one) Not impressed and do feel that this visit was a real let down.

The ice-cream is one of the best I've tasted around, the prices are good for the portion size, I'd recommend this place to anybody, you can make up your own sundae etc and they are generous with the toppings, if you like ice-cream this is a place you need to visit, you will return that much is almost certain

Called in with my wife Christine after a long walk along Seaton sea front and we both fancied an ice cream. Shown straight to a table and waitress was straight over with menus. I opted for strawberry cheescake which came in a large glass, Christine the strawberries with ice cream . Both were large portions, service spot on and desserts were perfect . Prices were very reasonable. We will return

Terrible service. Staff acted like we weren't even there. Went further down and got great ice cream elsewhere.

Seems to be going down hill. Iced coffee was literally a warm coffee with a few ice cubes in it for a 5er. Kids cordial somehow tasted terrible, icecreams are mediocre and service just not up to standard. It's a shame as the place could be great.

Poor Service, took over 45 minutes for the food to arrive and when the food eventually arrived the hot beef sandwich was stone cold. So, if you want food, go elsewhere - there are plenty of alternative options.

Terrible service, no atmosphere, miserable staff and the owner behaves like Basil Fawlty. Awful experience.

Ooh where shall I start , waitress rude, waited for our meal for 1 hour and 30 minutes, soon as customers next to us were served who arrived after us we decided to leave! But apart from that what a wonderful experience, of customer service at it's best. If you want to see bad customer service we recommend coming here!

Great lovely bacon sandwich could do with a better choice of cakes when we were in good choice on the lunch menue

Our group witnessed the Owner starting an argument with a customer in front of our table. She was very loud and unpleasant. Her conduct was unprofessional and aggressive. This used to be a lovely place to visit. There is a reason why the place is empty on a Bank Holiday. There was no atmosphere and the staff looked miserable. It was uncomfortable and unenjoyable. We will not return.

Visited today, bank holiday Monday for lunch. We were shown to a table in the back area by the blonde ponytailed lady, not sure if she's the owner/manager as ive been coming here for years and seen her ordering staff around a few times. I've never been on the receiving end before today. What a rude woman. A family was placing their order as we sat down, and another family sat down just after us. The same lady took the last sat down families order, ignoring us. A bit later, she came to take ours. This is the reason I will never spend another penny of my hard earned cash on this premises. I ordered for my 2 foster children and myself, and then my husband started to give his order. He asked for a garlic bread, to which she just stood staring at him so he repeated it again, thinking she hadn't heard, she then had the cheek to say "I was waiting for a please" my husband replied and dirty fries PLEASE. If she had waited till he had finished his order, he would have said please without being told too. We don't appreciate being spoken to like children while we are in our 50s. Other customers also heard her and did comment on it to us. A young girl brought us our drinks and ice cream for my girls. Next, after waiting over 1 hour for our food, the table who had ordered before us still hadn't received theirs either, the table that arrived last received theirs. Obviously, this didn't go down well, especially with the other table. They gave up and left. A nice, polite young man came to us asking if we were waiting for food as they had problems in the kitchen, and it would be another 10/15 minutes at least, or we could leave and have the items we had already received complementary. We left. I would like to thank the young man for doing that, and I do understand that things break down. I worked in catering for 21 years and would have informed customers earlier of those sorts of problems. But myself or my family will not be spoken to like that by anyone when we have done nothing wrong. We walked over the road to the bowling alley cafe, and it took 20 mins at most to be eating fresh hot good.

Still has the same takeaway 'hatch' as when I used to visit with my Gran as a child. I remember her cup of tea always came in a styrofoam cup though...definitely way better coffee now! We usually enjoy a coffee to go with a walk along the seafront, but this place is also great for breakfast. Today we enjoyed a lemon top and a wander in the sunshine. Staff always pleasant. It's become a bit of a Seaton institution.

Would of been 5 star but putting the bill on your table before uve even took your first bite is very off putting tbh

This is our second visit here and our poor opinion hasn't changed. The ice-cream was tasteless and the waffle hard and odd-tasting. The layout and decor are great, and the ladies serving are just lovely, but these don't justify the prices charged.

Went today and the lady in charge was uninterested,abrupt and looked like she didn't want to be there , no customer service skills at all .Sat at the table no-one came to take our order and eventually the lady said I'll be over soon !! Not good enough so left the place and she obviously doesn't need the trade as just watched us leave won't ever go back ! A warm friendly greeting goes a long way

Had breakfast here, the scrambled eggs were lovely and creamy, and the bread for the sausage sandwich was doorstop thick ... just as it should be. One other thing, I don't know how they do it, but considering how long they've been open the decor inside is absolutely top . Well done !

One of the few places open for breakfast on Monday morning (yes, it's out of season), unless you wanted fish and chips (it was 11.15am). I had a full English breakfast, and my partner had one of the waffles (the Kinder Bueno one, I think) and we both had cappuccinos. The food was delicious, the coffee was perfect and the service was very friendly. We will definitely go here again the next time we are in the area - so much choice for cake and ice cream!

Very poor. Tables not cleared only two people in. Shouted at for moving to cups. I will clear them in a minute. Then went and cleaning another table. Never took order. Left at that point. Cakes in display looked at least 24 hours old. Give a miss Ratting minus one.

Well worth a visit… Had a fantastic lunch here today. Two adults (both had parmos) and three children who had the kids special which includes a meal, drink and ice-cream. My son is Coeliac and the catered for him by making a gluten free pizza....

We visited this establishment because we were looking forward to trying out the ice cream, and it was lovely. However when we ordered the ice cream we were not asked if we would like any drinks, after waiting 15 minutes I went to the counter...

We recently visited before and the staff was very rude, we decided to visit again today thinking maybe it was just an off day as we all get them but God were we wrong. The lady is the rudest woman I've ever met. Not one...

Wow and wow again!!! This little Gelato shop has it all going on ...hot food, waffles, sumptuous coffees and drinks and of course lush Dairy Free options. Often wonderful decor doesn't quite match the food, however on this occasion they are a match made in heaven! Even in the quirky, spotless toilets (which, yes, I couldn't believe, so had to get a photo of!!) The staff were very attentive, even when it was an extremely hot and busy day. They have a hatch so you can take away too. The food was very reasonable. We can't wait to return to this quirky Gelato restaurant🍨🍦

So glad I stumbled across this place! Couldn't find a decent cafe for a sandwich on the strip so was about to give up and get fish and chips...) Friendly and fast service. Food was delicious. Both cheese savoury Baguettes fresh and delicious. Side salad, slaw and chips, again fresh and tasty. The chef is clearly passionate about the job. Got some mint choc chip ice cream to go and that was also delicious.

Such very friendly staff, food coffee and ice cream so very nice. Also the place is nice and clean, a pleasurable place to relax, drink and eat in.

My grandsons favourite place because of the massive choice of ice cream flavours. Thoroughly enjoed our sundaes abd he had a slush that came in a take home novelty cup. Decorated like an american soda shop you can even let the kids sit on a scooter seat. Really friendly staff. Didnt try the food but what i see on other tables looked fab and prices were reasonable. Highly recommend you call in - pop into the toilets wall paper is amazing .
