This was our first visit here and we really loved it. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Grace was very attentive and friendly. We will certainly return!

My friend and I made one of our many trips to The Gedling Inn and today we enjoyed afternoon tea together. We go out to many places for lunch and I can honestly say that we always have the best food and warmest welcome from Gedling Inn and their staff. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

This is an excellent pub. We had a lovely meal here on a Saturday lunch and there was a special offer which made it a very reasonable trip out. It’s a lovely big space and they also take dogs, which is great. I would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely Sunday Lunch yesterday. We hadn’t booked and went in on the off chance. Staff were really friendly and managed to squeeze us in. We both had roast beef which was delicious. Great service too.

The Gedling inn has always been a lovely place for lunch or dinner or even drinks, but this year we decided to spend Mother’s Day here for lunch with our family. There were 13 of us, 6 children included. The menus are always great and the kids menu has a great variety which is always good as my children prefer anything but chicken nuggets. The pub was busy but the staff had everything under control as always. Service was great and it was so nice not to feel rushed on Mother’s Day. Food was exceptional! £17.95 for 2 course. I had lamb shank and it was amazing!!! Then the dessert- lemon tiramisu- never ever have I have a dessert so nice!!! The Gedling inn make their desserts in house (which you don’t get always these days) and it shows! Try the lemon tiramisu guys!!!! My mum is going to return for cake and a coffee one day this week tk sample a different dessert! Looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks for the Easter fun day. These are always so good!

We booked for a wake. The food and service were excellent and we had an area of the pub to ourselves.

I booked for Mother’s Day afternoon tea and it was brilliant!! Very accommodating and provided us tea and coffee instead of Prosecco. As me and my mum aren’t Prosecco drinkers. Was served by the lovely Grace who was very attentive to our needs and made sure everything was okay. She was brilliant. The presentation was beautiful and was a perfect portion size. Had a lovely afternoon and will definitely be returning to try the main menu 😊

I know it’s a 2 for 1 menu and it won’t be the most luxurious food you will taste, but omg, what happened to the fish that you use to serve here? My fish was so soggy and smelt and tasted old! No more flakey meaty fish like it used to be! People working here are lovely and it’s an okay atmosphere for a pint but definitely don’t recommend the fish!

🌱 VEGAN HEAVEN! 🌱 Seriously one of the best vegan menus in Nottinghamshire! The shicken kebabs were just out of this world. The service was amazing and such a lovely setting inside! 🧡🌱

Came for a meal last week, food was so tasty and great value for money. Service fantastic, served by Grace, nothing was too much trouble, very friendly and great with our kids too made us feel very welcome. Will deffo return!

We regularly dine here and have never had any issues. Great food and service. Was that good through 2023 that we bought our family here for Christmas Dinner which also didn't disappoint Will see u all again soon.

Visited today with my daughters and granddaughter the food was amazing and the staff was friendly from the second we walked in. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left the customer service was probably the best we have had for a long time. The food, was excellent. The decor and cleanliness was amazing, and I'm.fussy. If you haven't already, please try this amazing venue. Not many places packed on a Tuesday night ( and having your order taken and food on the table within 20mins) Thank you to all.

Again have to mention The Gedling Inn. Lovely warm feeling about the pub. The meals are fantastic value for money. Well prepared and offer good value for money. Definitely recommend the Lasagne or steak had both at some point. Definitely recommend for food top quality.

21 of us booked for an afternoon tea, on the day an additional person came (that I didn’t know about - sorry!) The team were very accommodating and helpful. A few of our party ran late, the team were very accommodating and held the food back until everyone arrived. Our party was a “Tame” hen do - oldest guest 91 and youngest 6. All had a fab time and were very complimentary on the food, the value for money and the service. Many thanks to all of the team for a great afternoon 🥳 We have lived around the corner for apx 8 years, and only since The Gedling Inn has changed management a few years back have we visited regularly. It is a great improvement since the latest Manager has taken over!!! It’s my 3rd afternoon tea there in 6 months and I’ll defo be back (perhaps with less people next time) Thanks for also catering for all the men who came in for drinks, and tried to gatecrash our tea to get the cakes at the end! Great afternoon and everyone thoroughly enjoyed 🥳♥️

I come to the Gedling Inn with family for a birthday evening of food and it was amazing!!! The food was fresh and portion size is great for the prices, the service was amazing fast, attentive, friendly and efficient!! Grace was really great and made us feel very welcome and was very attentive through out thank you for the friendly staff at gedling inn for a lovely experience and thank you Grace for looking after us we will definitely be back keep up the great fresh food and friendly service :)

Came often in the summer for food but it's even better this winter. Popped in for some ale and lunch, lovely atmosphere, good polite staff and food that you wouldn't expect in a pub at a good price. Top notch !!

Food as always is good had 2 steaks and 2 Currys for under £50 great value as it's buy 1 get 1 free (cheapest plate) plenty of staff so you don't have to wait for ages and always make sure to check in on you

We booked The Gedling Inn to host an Afternoon Tea for my dad’s 80th birthday There were 18 of us and the service by the team was amazing. All the team were polite and professional. The food for the Afternoon Tea was delicious and very well presented. The table set up was amazing with all China tea cups and plates. We can highly recommend if you are looking for a place to host your party/event or even if you just want a place for a meal. The food is delicious.

Lovely homemade food, well worth the wait and price. Recommend the meat lasagne! So much nicer than the 'plastic' food you get in generic pubs.

Went for dinner on Christmas day and the food was incredible. The atmosphere was great, it was really busy but the staff were amazing and everything ran smoothly. Our kids had the best day ever thank you. Will definitely be returning for the 2 for 1 on food during the week

After several visits and amazing food, we decided to have Christmas Dinner here. We were not disappointed, the food was lovely, service spot on and it was nice to see a full pub! Well done Becky and team and thank you for a lovely meal

So my husband went here on 23rd December to take the grandchildren to breakfast with Santa The atmosphere was great and the build up to Santa visiting was buzzing .the breakfast was strong with lots of choice Santa was fab her took the time to answer all questions asked Would highly recommend for 2024 Our eldest granddaughter skipped out at the end telling grandad see I knew I was on the good list !!

Well what can i say about the staff and service? Absolutely amazing. Super friendly and helpful especially with the kids. Becky (owner) is a true superstar and makes the gedling feel like home. Will defo frequent.

Over the past couple of months we’ve utilised the Gedling inn twice for private events! One being a baby shower and one being a 60th birthday. The baby shower went amazingly and they did an afternoon tea set up with scones, cakes and sandwiches! They also did us mocktails. The 60th came with a buffet of sandwiches, quiche, scotch eggs, crisps etc. the hospitality is always top notch, the staff are amazing and the owner Becky always goes above and beyond. We regularly go to the Gedling inn, Christmas eve included! The vibe is always top class and the bar staff are fantastic. Thank you to everyone at the Cheggo! The best local ever.

Went for works Christmas meal food great service was good . Staff serving a lot of people all over the pub .lots of partys going off . And football on tv . Only problem was everyone was squashed in to small area. Half pub was closed of to a private party . Not ideal.

Very popular and really nice pub

Great welcome, very clean, excellent service. Disappointed with Camembert Starter, over cooked and not much of it. Main courses were very good, hot, well presented and value for money. But. Is there a dining area? Thought our area was. Sadly more like a tap room with 10 guys in for the ale it was very very noisy with bad language. Spoilt the experience.

Just been to Breakfast with Santa together with family and grandchildren. Had a really great time. Food was delicious , very fresh and hot. Pleased to have plum tomatoes too 😀 All the staff were friendly and helpful from arriving to leaving. Santa was brilliant, plenty of time allowed for chatting and pics. Pretty decent local pub this. A mate and I have visited a few times times now, in the evenings, and have enjoyed the food which is on a 2-1 offer. Last couple of times, we’ve visited on a Thursday night which is also a Quiz night and next visit will also be on a Thursday. Food is decent , service good, and good atmosphere. If you do visit on a Thursday ( which has proven to be a popular night ) , you might want to book in advance as it’s gets busy. Good car parking and also nice outside areas to the rear.

Celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday today at the Gedling Inn. There were 28 family members and everyone had a great time. The food was amazing. We had Christmas dinner and dessert. Beccy the landlady and her staff were fantastic they made everyone welcome and the service was top notch. Thank you to all the staff and especially the chef.

First time visiting The Gedling for food. Last night's pie night was absolutely amazing! Quality of food was brilliant, choice was plentiful, staff were lovely. We had little kids with us and they were also made to feel welcome. Will definitely be returning for food again soon!

Food was lovely, only dropped a star, because some meals were a great size and others seemed a bit small which was a shame. Everything else was brilliant though. Its a very family oriented place so not the place for a quiet romantic meal on a Saturday night, but maybe a different evening 😉

Lovely place. Took my Granddaughter there while we waited for her big sister to finish dance club. She ordered Pizza and an Apple Juice. The lovely lady who took our order asked my 5 yr old Granddaughter if she wanted to create her Pizza or get the kitchen to do it. Lovely touch! Food arrived quickly, she enjoyed it, couldn't eat it all but we were able to take the rest home in a pizza box, she wanted her big sister to have some. Great place!

First visit to the Gedling Inn for a long time. Decided to have Scampi & my husband had a beef burger. The scampi was over cooked, hard & dry. The beef burger was slightly over cooked but ok. Would have complained at the time but had a guest with us & didn’t want to complain.

A great pub with a lovely atmosphere 👍regularly come here for meals with friends! This is the third visit to this pub in the last few weeks and once again it was a great experience. My husband and I are gluten free and it is refreshing to have a choice of food. The service is very efficient. It was lovely to meet Luke who is very welcoming and never seems to stop working to make sure everything is correct for visitors. I have and will continue to recommend this pub.

Great menu for food with exciting and dishes that aren't too common. Service was great and food hot. Also looks a good venue for quiz nights and sports too. Overall a great experience visiting and we should make use and value a pub like this!

Fantastic food never dissapoints. Went here 25th Ictober 23 for wedding Anniversary meal. The meal was fantastic, well presented and the steak is the very best I have ever tasted. I’ve it a try I guarantee you won’t be dissatisfied 👍

Didn't realise they were going to stop serving food mid afternoon so we had to go without. Go somewhere else if you want certainty about eating! Saturday 9th September, arrived about 4pm for a drink, went to order food about 6pm and the bar staff said ‘sorry we’ve stopped serving food now’.

The place is just awesome. The staff are great, and although I did not eat there the last time I was lucky enough to go, I know that the food is brilliant. Really clean, and the management is just brilliant. In one word, faultless.

Had a Sunday lunch here and the portions are HUGE. Absolutely delicious and staff very friendly. Reasonably priced too.

We had a great evening catching the last of the sun in the beer garden yesterday. We went for dinner and a few drinks. Everyone commented how tasty and high quality the food was. The staff were so friendly and super helpful. We will definitely be returning.

Our date night wasn't as planned. Advertised as Eurovision will be on the pubs Tv but had a low league Football match on instead. Was looking forward to Eurovision, so we left early. Food was good.

A great place to enjoy with family and/or friends. Reasonably priced drinks and food in a relaxed environment. A great outdoor space for kids and adults alike. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.
