I eat here every time I'm in town. Very friendly service and the omelettes are excellent. Very filling. Good value.

Been to this lovely restaurant before the food is fantastic the staff are friendly which makes the place one of a kind.

My husband and I have been looking for a new lunch stop ever since another well known cafe in town got bought over and went downhill. Gaynor's is officially our new go to! We got the goujon and chip meal with curry sauce. So reasonable priced with a lovely casual setting. Great staff who made us feel so welcome! X

Gainers is one of those place's where if you don't know where to look and your not local your likely to miss it. Situated in a small walk alley behind the main church in portadown town center were the war memories are located One of the hidden gem's of portadown. There food and service is exceptional as well as the atmosphere is good as well. If you ever hear the song lyrics were everyone knows your name thats Gainers as half the revilers there from around the town seem to know each other and that just adds to the atmosphere.

I remember Gaynors in the 80s and 90s and their fish and chips haven't changed a bit over the years, consistency is a rare thing these days, succulent fish with just the right amount of moistness and batter, the chips are delicious too, you can always tell it's a successful family run business going by the popularity throughout the years in Portadown. Keep up the great work.

Exactly wot you need lovely fry with a real portion of proper chippy chips some salt n vinegar and a wee pot of tea . Great for breakfast very reasonable we always make it on our stop wen wrkin portadown Danny & Brian

Been going here a good few years on off had good food out of it every time the service has always been good and friendly until today asked for chips with the food we got only to be told by the owner we couldn’t have them and to make matters worse he was as cheeky with his answer saying we don’t do chips till after 11am I pointed out that it was 11:30am he just said we don’t do them this early very very cheeky and arrogant,my advice now as a Costomer is stay away from here so his bad mood isn’t taken out on you or your loved ones

Cheap and cheerful place for a hot drink or a meal. Great value Breakfasts which includes tea or coffee. Friendly service as well. Good place to call in to refuel when in Portadown.

Superb small family run business specialising in traditional fish and chips. Very helpful towards my group of adults who present with a learning difficulty and accommodating.

This is just a very standard cafe. But they sell reasonably good food, at a reasonable price. There are no wheelchair rest room facilities. Plus the rest room facilities, wouldn't be what you would call the greatest.

The restaurent very supplis great home cooked food at reasonable prices. The takeaway chip shop is also supplies excellent food, a great variety on offer and meal deals to suit all.

Th'or day I was famished like, so I say's te meself, time for some good grub! Gaynor's for a Mixed grill and it really hit the spot. By the time I was finished I was as full as a tick an as happy as a pig in you know what! Do yourselves a favour for quantity an flavour, Go to Gaynor's for a feed, it's really all you'll ever need.

Gaynors Cafe isn't for those who want posh plates, silver service or linen serviettes however, for those who desire prompt service for a helping to satisfy the individual's appetite with 'down-to-earth' wholesome food on plain clean plates placed on a clean table accompanied by clean cutlery and a choice of non-alcoholic liquid refreshments attended by attentive pleasant and patient staff, then this is the café to consider. The only passing traffic is those on two feet, so it's free from fumes and furious drivers therefore providing peacefulness. Morgan Johnson.

The food is very good. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Very dissapointed . Got a fish supper . Fish can only be described as manky . Not kidding when i say i counted 14 chips . Yes . 14 chips . Cant believe how downhill it has went Will definately gaynors a wide berth in the future . If you read this gaynors , if you keep serving food like this you will be closed by this time next year coz no one will be back . Sorry to say that .

My mum brought us here when we were young and half a century later I still have my dinner here once a week when I visit my family in Portadown as I have lived in co.antrim area for over 30 years . Staff so friendly and food 1st class .

I have been going to Gaynon' s off and on from 1971 when the late Sammy and mrs martin and her sister were there .you are still met today with the same welcome .i worked in west street as an app butcher in the late Andy Boyles. You will enjoy the food and the welcome do try it
