Gaynes Park in Epping Forest

A beautiful venue for a winter wedding and enhanced by the Christmas tree. The team were so organised and helpful they made the day run smoothly. They went above and beyond to help when guests were stranded with no taxi even with it being after 1 am. The venue is a good size and the orangery was perfect for the ceremony overlooking the grounds.

As a working professional photographer, I've had the absolute pleasure of working at Gaynes Park on a couple of occasions, and each time the overall service has been faultless! Yesterdays wedding was no exception, in fact it was an amazing lesson to any wedding co-ordinators out there on how to run a wedding day with absolute professionalism and pin point execution. Enter stage left. The immaculate Georgina! I've worked at the very best venues in Essex, but for sheer dedication and work ethic, nothing beats Georgina! I was amazed at her unrivalled control of a wedding - not one thing went a miss, and I can't begin to tell you how much more easier it was for me to capture precious images of my couple, because Georgina had taken all the guess work away from me and taken it on herself to allow me to just work! The bottom line is this, Gaynes park and their remarkable staff will do absolutely all they can to give you a wedding day to remember for all the right reasons. Oh and DJ Terry? Yep make sure you have his services too - this guy injects so much energy and life in to your wedding evening festivities, and is on hand during parts of the day to make sure every thing runs as smooth as possible. I wasn't paid to express my opinions about Gaynes park, I'm just a wedding photographer who truly appreciates a venue who goes out of their way to make my life easier! Thank you all at Gaynes Park for making us feel so welcome! 5 stars and more if I could!!

Gaynes Park is a lovely venue for a wedding or special cellebration. You must view it to appreciate the rustic charm of the main room where you have the wedding breakfast. I often DJ at Gaynes and i offer a great value DJ and Photography package! If I can help I'd be pleased to hear from you.

Attended niece's wedding and was very impressed with the venue! The staff were very helpful and professional throughout the day into the late evening. The one big surprise was the venues' recommended taxi service Lawlors, who charged over £40 for journey back to Brentwood Premier Inn compared to an Uber ( which I cancelled by mistake!) which would have cost just under £17!! Apart from that, top marks for a wonderful day

From the very first time we went there two years ago we knew it was the place we were going to get married . The staff from the initial show round to the morning after our wedding were exceptional . Victoria our Senior Events planner was professional, patient , understanding ,and above all extremely polite and approachable .Any request was dealt with in the utmost detail. The venue itself is absolutely stunning on its own but on our wedding day it was more then exceptional. All the staff were beautifully turned out and again exceptionally professional and polite . The food was , wow the food and the drink were just heaven . We highly recommend the Rose Sangria as do all our guests !. We would write more but we don't want to spoil it for you and we would could never do it justice anyway!

WOW! Where do I start a stunning venue for our Daughters wedding ! We 1st saw it on a bleak January morning but knew it was special fast forward to August and it was even better, the gardens in full bloom are wonderful. The apple loft is a wonderful place to share those special moments getting dressed for the wedding . The Orangery, Mill Barn & Gather Barn offered the perfect setting to add our own touches. The food was excellent with great quality ingredients and the waiting staff were brilliant ! The Coach House accommodation was excellent as was the breakfast the following morning again immaculate and comfy rooms. Lastly the staff - from booking to the day itself nothing was too much trouble prompt response most appreciated and went above and beyond by capturing some special moments for us. A special thank you to Georgia with us throughout the whole process very professional, lovely calming nature and felt like family the minute we met here. Thank you for making our Daughters dream wedding come true you really are stars.

The visit was for a wedding. On arrival we could not find a reception so I spoke to a blonde lady explaining my daughter had prior arranged my room check in for 12.30 latest. I was early and expected to wait I was simply making our arrival known. I was bluntly told all guests would be collected after 12.30 when the rooms were ready. I mentioned if it were ready beforehand could I be advised. Again I was bluntly told to wait and she would fetch us when the room was ready. A while later my partner walked the grounds to see if he could find reception, he came across the same lady who was again short mannered advising we should wait until collected. At 12.45 other guests were arriving so I became anxious as at this point I hadn’t long before photos with my daughter prior to the wedding. I finally found another lady who advised our room was ready and waiting. My partner made a hasty few trips to fetch belongings from the car and we hurriedly got ready. I am staggered that such a venue should have such a lack of welcome. I am angry I sat waiting to be collected but ignored. Had I not partly got ready prior to travelling I would have missed a very important part of my day due to the blonde ladies ignorance, it was totally unnecessary. On a positive note I found the catering and catering staff lovely, but I would not recommend the venue due to my issues above.

I had my wedding here a few days ago and it was just perfect. There wasn’t anything that didn’t go to plan and the guests have all said how flawless it was. I may have been one of the most OCD and over organised brides they have had but they were there whenever I needed them. Staff were amazing but especially Georgina. Even the small touches stopping my dad and I before we walked down the isle to enjoy every second. From the first time I saw her in the morning in the cottage to when we left the next day she made me feel amazing. I just can’t say Thankyou enough to gaynes park. They made it the best day of my life. Would really recommend this venue. Wish I could do it all again!

I recently viewed the beautiful Gaynes park for the second time and I brought my Fiancé and his mum and also my mum. I had the lovely Laura show us around however, My mum was almost an hour late because of constant road closed signs and having to find alternative routes but Laura was very understanding. Also walking around the venue we were asking questions and she was able to provide everything. She was helping us picture our perfect day. When my mum finally arrived, even though my Fiancé, his mum and I had already seen everything, she allowed us to go back and see everything just so my mum could see what we all saw as well. We all loved everything so my Fiancé and I have booked the beautiful venue for 2025. We can't wait.

One of our favourite wedding venues to photograph and film at. The grounds have so much to offer with many locations close together to get those gorgeous couple shots 🥰 The food and staff here are also the best around!

The most magical venue. We have a wonderful time here celebrating our friends wedding. Everything was beautifully set up and looked gorgeous in the evenings with all the lights.

We got married in September and it was best day of our lives. From the moment we viewed Gaynes Park we both instantly fell in love. Everything about the venue is stunning and on top of that the staff are amazing Georgina and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfect and If we could do it all again we would do. If I could picture the perfect setting for any wedding it would be Gaynes Park. Without a doubt I’d start the day all over again. From the moment we first arrived the year before, the initial greeting, consultation for wedding packages to booking our day the staff at Gaynes Park made the whole experience easy and stress free. On our wedding day everything was ready early so by the time we got there, no waiting around or worrying. Aimie, was so impressive and knowledgeable. Sounds like an obvious thing to say but the ability to give you a clear view of your day when you’re nervous, thinking about other guests or time frames she was the focal point of for clarity when you needed it. Along side that she was a personable, patient and welcoming. The food…..the food!!!!!! I think we’ve had more feedback on how good that was than anything else. We chose the mid week package including Cottage Pie/Nut Roast, Crème Brûlée and Vegan Eton Mess. The Mill Barn and Orangery were exceptional, clean, light, airy, warm and comforting. We also took advantage of the ability to use the coach house. 10 humble, homely and we’ll equipped rooms. The walk in shower in the Honeymoon Suite was literally the best shower I’ve ever been in and to have a bath early morning that envelopes someone at 6’1 there was no trouble relaxing. As if that wasn’t enough, morning breakfast catered for Gluten free just like the whole meal the night before was fully a cooked and non greasy full English. The only thing we wish we could change is being able to go back in a years time for breakfast or lunch to reminisce on the day. In all honestly and I mean honestly the best place to have your wedding. Take the time to come and see Gaynes Park, meet the staff, have a look and understand that no expense is spared, no question or request too much and have the best days of your life. Gaynes Park, where to start? After a 2 year delay our wedding finally happened on 15th June 2022. It was the most magical day and we wish we could do it all again! All our guests have said it was the best wedding ever and that Gaynes Park is truly beautiful. A special mention to Victoria and Georgina who looked after us for the whole day. They both ensured the day ran smoothly and are both so caring. Victoria and Georgina allowed us to go off together for around 10 minutes every so often on our own, which allowed us to take in the whole day and not feel too overwhelmed. All the details at Gaynes Park are stunning. From getting ready in the bridal cottage, the breath taking walk to the Orangery, the sheep in the grounds, and the gather barn. On a clear day you can even see the whole of London in the distance but you are surrounded by countryside. The food was absolutely five star. Poached egg with asparagus in hollandaise sauce, the beef wellington was cooked to perfection along with the trio of desserts, passion fruit parfait, chocolate brownie and Eton mess. Adam and I both had the wedding of our dreams and will forever be grateful to Gaynes Park. We were so lucky with the weather – sunny with a gentle breeze. All of our guests were able to see the venue in all it’s beauty. We even had our little dog Winnie who shared part of our special day with us. The staff are fantastic and everything about the venue is out of this world. If you are thinking of booking Gaynes Park as your wedding venue you will not be disappointed!

Myself and my husband Luke got married at Gaynes Park back in March 2022 and want to state what a beautiful day we experienced here. The staff were so helpful on the day, everything was organised and stress free. Our guests still talk about our food and how beautiful the venue is. The only hiccup we found was communication from the venue until 3 months before our wedding was pretty poor, we felt a bit forgotten about and so everything felt a bit last minute. A warning to take on is that despite how much it all costs, there isn't much wiggle room at all with Gaynes Park so make sure you have an idea of what things you definitely want on your day as it's more than likely a no. Our major shout out goes to our savier Lauren Farr. Without Lauren there for the 3 months leading up to our wedding as well as on the day and even the afterwards, I don't know how we would have got through all the standard wedding stresses! She has a real care and passion for what she does and made our lives 10 times easier as well as being a genuinely lovely person. We would rate 5* for just Lauren if we could. Thank you so much Lauren for everything, we couldn't have done it without you and wish you all the happiness. The Gilbert's x

This one star is ONLY for the venue, I'd like to give ZERO STARS for the catering, the catering team and the ESPECIALLY THE CATERING MANAGER AIMEE COLEMAN! What a horrid woman who never smiled throughout the whole wedding, and was rude to the groom's brother, the groom's sister in law, the bride's sister and other friends and family. Absolutely everyone noticed she was agitated for no reason and gave one word answers to guest's questions. She doesn't care about the fact that someone has paid alot of money to have their big day be very special, she was completely distant from everyone. Her event management skills were appalling with her standing in the kitchen most of the time, with the lack of time management the chef's presented dry dry dry chewy steak Babette and lamb to almost a 50 adults. Majority of those did was unable to either finish their food due to the dryness and toughness to cut. Absolutely appalling main course! Will not recommend this venue for anyone unless they are willing to deal with awful food, service, staff and upset guests.

A wonderful place in rural Essex not to far from London , we where there for my grandson's wedding, The whole day went without a hitch and the staff were very helpful, The only downer we found was our bed that night we found it a bit hard,

There is not any theme or style that couples come to us with that is not achievable here. From rustic to ultra glam there truly is no limits. It is also one of the ONLY venues that offers you options of completely changing your space to create a day and evening changeover. Gaynes Park is your barn venue in Essex on par with 5 star venues such as Claridges. To be one of their recommended suppliers you have to be on top of your game as they accept nothing less than perfect for their venue and their prospective couples.

Beef steak was totally dry and chewy just presented all fancy. Shocking really considering what they charge for the venue ! It was almost not edible clearly sourced as cheaply as possible !

My daughter and son in law, were married here this month, and it was a beautiful day… All there guests have not stopped telling us what a lovely day they had… Food was lovely , very helpful staff, It was a very hot day, but the the air con was on in the orangey, so no problems, only thing I would say they need air con in the barn where you eat, it did get very hot in there, and the same with some of the rooms we were staying in. They did put fans in each room, which did help, it was one of the hottest day of the year… It was a great day to remember, thank you to all there staff for there hard work . ( they don’t stop all day) I would recommend this venue to anyone..

Gaynes Park is THEE most incredible setting for a wedding. We got married a few weeks ago and choosing Gaynes Park as our venue was the best decision we ever made. It was the 6th wedding venue we had visited, and we had begun to give up hope, however the second you drive up to this stunning venue, it’s easy to see how we fell in love with it instantly. There are so many areas to utilise and for guests to explore! The food was incredible, as were the team and we cannot thank Victoria and Georgina enough for making sure our day ran perfectly. There wasn’t a single hitch and I can genuinely say that was all down to them! So many of our guests have said (and continue to say) that Gaynes Park is the best venue they’ve ever been to. We had the wedding of our dreams and I’m so thankful to Gaynes Park for making it happen!

From the early planning days 2 years ago to our special day yesterday, Gaynes Park have been spectacular at answering all of our questions and making the whole experience so special. A special thanks to Lauren who looked after us and made sure everything was as we had planned. Yvonne - thank you for capturing the moment my dad walked me down the aisle, the breakfast team at the coach house accommodation who were so hospitable and all of the waiting staff and team who worked flat out to make everything run like clockwork. Myself and my new hubby tied the knot here on 25/3/22 Lauren was our coordinator and she was brilliant, not just on the day but on the lead up aswel, any questions I had she didn’t hesitate to answer. The venue from when we arrived into the apple loft to the next morning in the coach house was spot on, clean and beautiful. All staff very professional, nothing was too much. They even got my Nan a different dinner as she couldn’t manage the good we had got which was very kind of them. Canapés amazing. Our three course dinner was the best wedding food Iv had. So many guests saying how delicious it was. Couldn’t fault any part of the day! So a big Thankyou to Lauren, Donna from the coach house and all waiting and bar staff. You all made my day even more magical.

Perfect wedding day! Couldnt fault it at all! Food was out of this world, service was fantastic and Victoria was so helpful. There were certain events out of our control that happened on the day, luckily the venue helped us straight away and were very accommodating. We had nothing to worry about while enjoying our day. Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and how much they enjoyed everything, especially the food. We had a few issues when we had to postpone the wedding due to covid, and felt like it was a little all over the place. We don't feel that the team that was dealing with our postponement were fully trained for this situation. However, it was an unusual situation and looking back now it was just a small bump in the road and we wouldnt have wanted to get married anywhere else. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking to get married at Gaynes Park. Thank you to the team for an amazing day!!

DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!!! STAFF ARE INCREDIBLY RUDE, LAUREN BARNET & EMMA (BAR MANAGER) WORST STAFF EVER! EXTREMELY RUDE. Lauren was extremely rude to my mother and I on the morning of my wedding making us all wait outside in the cold as she showed round another potential couple to get married at Gaynes park, this then made me late for my own wedding day!! Neither Lauren nor Emma broke a smile on the day and were extremely rude towards my family and my new family, their behaviour was unacceptable. We have spent a lot of money with Gaynes park for the wedding which we was never late to pay and had everything on time to be treated as dirt, three of my close friends have recently got engaged and considered having there wedding here at Gaynes Park but from what they have witnessed they will not be going through with it. The night of my wedding when everyone was leaving to go home my father was saying goodbye to all of our guests when the bar manager was running around sweating looking for him making a scene that he needs to pay for the bar bill straight away, all of our guests said how rude she was and how disgusting to be running around asking guests where he was as if he was never going to pay. The bar manager then proceeded to be rude to my father in law when he asked for some of the Alcohol we had already brought to take to the coach house, we were never told there were separate licenses for the bars but she never explained and continued to be rude towards him. Everything I asked for Gaynes Park to do never materialised. There were items not put out that I wanted out on display. They will of forever ruined my wedding day which I will never get back, as they have their money (because everything has to be paid right when they say) they do not care, will not get Lauren or Emma to apologise to me or my family, I strongly suggest you look else where if you want a perfect day to remember and not ruined by the staff here at Gaynes park!!

Great country location yet close to Epping and Harlow, perfect for wedding receptions and special events.

The minute we looked around Gaynes Park I fell in love with it and our wedding day did not disappoint! Chloe, the lady who ran our day, was just fabulous! Nothing was too much bother for her and she was lovely with my little boy. The food was outstanding!! Plenty of it and we bought the Prosecco and Beer package for the turn around while we waited in the orangery, that was welcomed and plentiful. We have had soo many of our friends and family say how much they enjoyed the day, how stunning the venue is, how good the food was. “Best wedding food I’ve ever had” was mentioned a few times. Honestly we loved it all!! Only wish we could do it again and you guys could have controlled the weather 😉 xxx

Cold! No heating in venues. Dance floor was a terrible set up with the band buried in the corner and large pillars in the way. Bar was way too small for amount of people. Service was slow but food was excellent.

I certainly would not recommend this venue to anyone for their wedding unless they bring in their own event organisers for the day. Poor show.

Fantastic place, food and staff would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I would say is that they should ban drinking glasses on the dance floor I can't imagine why anyone would do it as it is very dangerous, but they did.

Don't bother. If you appreciate a professional live band with horn section for you private event or wedding. You won't be allowed!

Very good venue, staff professional, helpful and and discrete when needed, quietly going about their business without you noticing or distracted at all from the main event.

We attended a wedding at Gaynes Park yesterday. What an amazing team, they all worked incredibly hard, and that was just what I saw. I am sure there was even more going on behind the scenes. The room changes were done discreetly and swiftly. The food was first class, and again the service was impeccable. And there was such a lot of attention to detail overall. Such a wonderful place.

Not only is Gaynes Park a stunning venue, but the hospitality and the way you treated our wedding party and guests was second to none. From the moment that our original wedding was cancelled and we chose Gaynes as our new venue we knew we made a good decision, but the effort and fine detail they went to on the day was just unreal. More than we would or could have expected. We also want to say a Massive shout out to Chloe who made our entire day run smoothly and wasnjusy so incredible, and also a massive shout out to Donna, who not only helped the guys get ready, but made lunch for our niece and nephew and even helped get our neice in her dress, and then still went above that and helped a desperate Best Man with crying toddler during the ceremony. We truely are so grateful for the day they gave us - it was the best day of our lives and one that we and our family will have in our hearts forever, after everything we have all been through in the last year, we smashed it! Best Venue, Best Team, Best day EVER! would not change a thing! THANK YOU SO MUCH

The whole venues' space is amazing. There's different areas for every step of your event/wedding. A cocktail area, an outdoor lounge space, incredible gardens really well maintained, a dinner space than can be turned into a dancefloor with a second outdoor lounge space. It's all really well organised and set up! In the middle of nowhere, your venue is a true gem 🙌 but none of it would have been the same without your very kind and attentive staff 👏🏻 special thanks to Kim 👌

Beautiful place, lovely wedding venue. Staff are amazing, just very strict and the rooms are super pricy for what they are. Oh and don't get scared by the door man doing his rounds at night 😏

This was definitely the best wedding venue I have been too , really relaxed plenty of staff great grounds and most importantly while the photos were being done there was plenty of snacks and drinks and comfortable places for guests to sit and chat 😀 well done ....

We got married at this amazing venue on 13th August and I just have to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone involved. The day was more than we ever dreamt it would be, Donna and Victoria and all of the staff we absolutely out of this world with their support and kindness. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, people have not stopped raving about the venue and what an amazing day it was. Had my daughters wedding at Gaynes Park on the 13 of August 2021. I cannot find the words to say how amazing all the staff were and how hard they worked to make our day so special. We pushed our wedding day back from August 2021 to August 2022. We have had our own enduring-nightmare dealing with Gaynes Park over numerous issues concerning our wedding. We know many friends who have been so impressed with their own venue & how they’ve dealt with Covid by offering the support & flexibility required to come to a joint solution. Gaynes Park have distanced themselves from us, we only communicate with a third party who is representing the venue. It’s abundantly clear they are putting their own financial interests first before any clients (Clients: any unfortunate couple who went with Gaynes Park throughout Covid) Gaynes Park have only offered us the option of getting married on a Monday to Wednesday in August 2022 even though we have been invoiced at a substantially higher rate (Sunday wedding). If we had of originally confirmed a Monday – Wednesday wedding we would have saved multiple thousands, yet due to Covid we are now expected to pay a small fortune to get married early in the week. To compound our frustration, there are 2 Thursday’s available in August 2022. Gaynes Park have informed us that these dates are for new bookings only. It’s a form of profiteering to manoeuvre postponed weddings from 2020 to an undesirable early weekday & expect us to put up with paying the original weekend (Sunday)rate! The venue has upset numerous couples (do some research online) and it appears, the few couples who managed to negotiate a compromise is those that have sought out legal representation. A few people I reached out to had signed into a non-disclaimer confidentially agreement with the venue (after initially posting negative reviews). It's a shame it's come to this. Gaynes Park have handled Covid so poorly & I would ask anyone considering getting married at this venue in future, to do some thorough online research prior to committing.

OMG what can I say about this wonderful venue.... My daughter got married there on 8th August, it was the best day ever. Immediately upon our arrival in the Apple Loft we was greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding co-ordinator Amy was amazing, so calm and professional, she kept us informed and dealt with all the final details. The food was 5* and so was the staff. Emma and her bar team worked tirelessly to ensure everyone got served with a smile. So many positive comments from all our guests, it was truly the BEST! We stayed overnight in the Coach House and that was the icing on the cake, rooms were beautiful, and the two lovely ladies that looked after us at breakfast (sorry I didn't get your names) were friendly and fantastic. A very special thank you to Donna who went above and beyond to make our day and sort Grandad out when he forgot his suit you truly are a Star. I couldn't recommend this venue enough, I would just like to rewind the time and do it all over again - we wouldn't change a thing. I only apologise that i didn't leave a review in your book, as I was swept away with emotion. Thank you again Gaynes Park for making my daughter and her husbands day so special.
