Great steak with wonderful service, would come again

Gauchos chain in general are pretty awesome customer service is second to none, Steaks are to die for. This has an added extra of iconic views of Tower Bridge. Expensive but seems value for money.Tried to book a table by phone it just rung out in the end tried 3 times.

We went last night for our anniversary and had a fantastic time! We had a lovely waiter called Jusan who from the moment we walked in made us feel so welcome. The service was amazing, so much better than some other central London. The food was amazing too, best steak I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

I have to say this restaurant is just great, you were treated like a king and the food was excellent. I took a wagyu burger and was really blown away, it tasted wonderful, the toppings were perfect and the meat was perfectly cooked . My colleague took a salad with meat in it and I can tell you that what I tried from him was fantastic, the meat was also perfectly cooked, it literally melted in your mouth and was just perfect (ordered medium). Conclusion: As a Swiss person, I can recommend this restaurant 200%.

I was treated to a birthday dinner at Gaucho Tower Bridge and really enjoyed the atmosphere and view. However, the food was most certainly not to Gaucho’s standard. My steak was quite fatty and for some reason they couldn’t grill my partner’s steak to well done. This ended up being three attempts with the same steak, resulting in it being too tough to enjoy. At least we didn’t have to pay for it, but my partner had to settle mostly for a side of sweet potatoes that came with the meat. Simply not acceptable and quite disappointing, considering the cost.

I like Gaucho generally at the food is consistently good. Thevreason why I gave a low score for this branch was due to the poor cleaninless of our dining table. Seats had not be cleaned (pics attached). For a flagship branch I find this unacceptable and these details should not be ignored. Because of this I just wanted to eat quickly and go. Further more with so much competition in this sector Gaucho need to up their game. The whole restaurant needs an update which is a pity because the food was good as always. Happy to give further feedback if required.

Stunning location overlooking the Thames / tower bridge. Excellent customer service. Food was lovely, highly recommend the grilled sea bass 🤩 reservation is advised.

Good steaks and atmosphere. Very expensive though.

Great steak and mashed potatoes. Wines are very expensive and the only cheap ones are decent but not what you’d like to eat with such good meat!

Excellent, excellent experience. Service all around was amazing, from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The wine was delicious, the food was perfect. Everything we ordered was cooked well and delicious. Even though it was busy, they still accommodated us. Our server Gaive was nothing short of spectacular. She was super attentive, friendly, and efficient. She definitely made our experience worth it. We would definitely come back. Thank you to Gaive and team!!!

Gaucho has great food, atmosphere, and wonderful staff, specifically Gaive. We had a pleasant time given we did not book a reservation. Thank you again for making our first day in London memorable.

This is our second visit to the Gaucho restaurant, but this time on Tower Bridge. Just as delicious and nice, everything was delicious and of the highest quality. We recommend and intend to go to this restaurant again in London. 10/10

It was my best friends birthday and as always the service and experience was wonderful! Our waitress Jaqueline (sorry if I misspelled her name) was fantastic!! I will be returning again in 2 weeks with my mum and I can’t wait! Tower bridge gaucho is always exceptional thank you :)

My fillet steak did not look like a fillet steak. Honey roast veg was large woody parsnips and undercooked carrots. It was nice but not wow for £300.

Good food, particularly great steaks, views of Tower Bridge, a fitting backdrop for my retirement celebration with valued colleagues, from being part of renovation another iconic London landmark: Battersea Power Station.

Never order deleviroo, you will receive a lache worse than Mc for 3 times more price

Great place, beautiful restaurant, atmosphere and food. We went there for my daughter’s birthday and really enjoyed it.

Great Sunday roast! Still prefer Hawksmoor but wanted to give it a go! Unlimited gravy and Yorkshire puddings are a bonus!

Great location for a matinee at the Bridge Theatre. Welcoming server called Philippe who brought us delicious food and wine. My daughter and I had the 200 gram fillet steak which tasted great. Both were a tad overcooked but not unacceptable. My steak had a thick section and a thinner tail which didn’t look like 200g. I had enough but others might have felt they needed more. The Argentinian Pinot Noir was just right for me. And lots of time to talk without being hassled. I would return.

Good restaurant opposite Tower Bridge. I consider it the best positioned of the chain. Having dinner in the evening and admiring the majesty of Tower Bridge is unparalleled. Good choice of meat. Average prices. To return

I do not recommend this restaurant! The waiter whose name was Gaz was very rude to me and my friends but he was nice to certain other tables? Other restaurants I have been to different branch’s such as the Aldgate and Piccadilly branch where they have all been so nice and polite! But we didn’t get that once. The waiter rolled his eyes at us serval times. He also raised his voice at me when I politely asked for a receipt. The chips were also rock hard and hardly edible. You do not expect this when you’re paying £30 + for a meal!

My service was terrible. The waiter- Gaz- was rude. Rolled his eyes and shook his head when my friend ordered a drink. When paying for the bill, he was arrogant. My friend asked for a receipt and he raised his voice at her. I was last to pay, so said I would not be paying service to which he then tried getting me to pay more for my meal than what I should’ve- when I corrected him politely, he tried arguing with me about it and walked off. Throughout the whole dinner, we were never disruptive, loud or rude so I’m quite unsure as to why we were treated so disrespectfully by this waiter.

The food is not what it used to be. Steak tasted of paraffin or spray on char. Ceviche was delicious. Arepa fantastic. So overall mixed bag.

I visited gaucho’s around mid day for lunch with my lady for her birthday. The service was outstanding, so attentive, so efficient, so polite. The Food was absolutely fabulous. Compliments to the chef. A nice restaurant with a view, a tranquil ambience and comfort. Take my money gauchos, take my money!

The staff were pleasant and attentive but the food really let down our experience. Given the price (I paid around £50 just for my steak) i expected it to be cooked near perfect and unfortunately it wasn’t. The chimichurri sauce was flavourless and i just felt the whole dish lacked seasoning. I really didn’t like the banana dessert cocktail I had. It was small, expensive and tasted too strong. All in all, whilst it is a fantastic setting (albeit slightly cramped), and the staff are lovely, the food quality just didn’t match the price we paid - real shame.

It might be because of what I ordered, but it was a very underwhelming. I went with 5 other people and only 2 of them were actually happy with their food (seabass & lime chicken I think) which isn't great at all.

Simply stunning! Great location, great food, great service. If I wanted to impress someone, I would take them here. Gaucho is a rare thing - a chain that is truly wonderful - and this is their flagship restaurant.

Having dined in Gaucho for many years, it was our first visit to Tower Bridge The atmosphere was not nice like the other Gaucho’s. After waiting 1 hour for our reservation our food arrived cold and the beef was not good. The manager was very understanding and apologetic. Such a shame to be this disappointed at a usually fantastic restaurant.

Thank you for your extra effort concerning allergies. Minus points for not providing us with a table next to the window although there was a lot of free tables there and we asked for it beforehand.

Fabulous location with great views of Tower Bridge this was a real treat for our anniversary. Good selection of food, wines and beers(for me!) Attentive and friendly staff who did their utmost to make our visit memorable, surprising us with a free glass of bubbly each to toast the occasion. Definitely recommend.

A message of appreciation for a staff member called Tawhid. He helped coordinate a short notice table for 7 people for a special occasion. Went above and beyond to make it happen when he could have easily said no. Grateful to him for this and his excellent manners and communication. A credit to Gaucho Tower Bridge. Thanks Tawhid!

Very good experience! We celebrated our anniversary and they gave us a complimentary dessert :) Food & service was great!

Very disappointed in the quality of food for the price. The steaks that we ordered didn't have much flavour, almost as if they were cooked without salt and pepper, let alone any flavours of garlic or butter. The portions of sides were very small so not great value for money either. The service was alright but the food took about 35-40 minutes to come after we ordered it. We were also sat next to a very loud group, who all clearly drank too much and were making a lot of noise. Also kept getting up and going outside for a smoke, came back very smelly and kept walking past our table - not a very pleasant ambiance. I believe the restaurant could've handled that group better because they were clearly disturbing other customers. Also, the women's toilets were in a bit of a state. Most stalls didn't have toilet paper, unfortunately, all the available toilet paper was on the floor. Overall, I would give it a 2.5/5 max because the decor in the restaurant was lovely and the view out the window was great.

Had specialty season and marinated flat iron steak and charcoal grilled sea bass, while sea bass was great and delicious, but flat iron steak was so plain, no season and tasted like any other flat iron, and so so so expensive.

Was going to the theatre which was close to the restaurant . So glad we chose here as a lovely restaurant. Food was really good, only had the burger as wanted room for a dessert 😂 Good excuse to go again and have a steak. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Loved the views outside. Will definitely be going again at some point.

Lukasz was amazing from start to finish! Thank you for being so amazing throughout! I’d highly recommend especially because of Lukasz’s service! Lukasz recommended a wonderful dessert which was great! He also made sure we had no allergies or any dietary requirements. We will certainly be back :)

The ambiance was lovely and the views were amazing, you can see Tower Bridge directly from the large glass windows. The food was also lovely with a perfect bottle of rose to match, I would highly recommend!

Very enjoyable evening, the service was excellent, my only slightly negative comment would be that although the Chateaubriand was very good, I thought it was over priced for what you actually get. Apart from that we would happily return.

We had a lovely dinner at Gaucho Tower Bridge ( Dario, our waiter, was very professional) , and the food was also great. We booked requesting a table upstairs and by the window. When we arrived at the venue we were told that the room upstairs was close. We would have appreciated if they would have called or contacted us in order to let us know in advance. That’s the only negative feedback. Everything else was great.

Service excellent, steak was great, chips very salty so asked to replace and was promtly done, mac & cheese had no salt and was given salt when asked. The reason for my rating is because I requested a window seat to celebrate our 20th anniversary when I made the booking few weeks ago, and again called before arriving to reiterate before arriving on the day and was told it is in the booking notes so I was confident it will happen, however on arrival this was not given and instead given a seat next to the kitchen with high traffic with staff going in and out which ruined the experience and occasion! What a shame for not honouring what I was told..

Great food and even greater service. If you get a chance, ask for Feven to take care of you. She made all the difference, and was very engaging.

The service was great however the food did not live up to our expectations. The chicken was bland and the still a bit pink inside. The chips were a bit cold which made them a bit hard and not very tasty. The sauce for the pastry starters was not spicy as expected.

Suprisingly terrible. We went for Christmas dinner in December and were appalled at the food. Bland, burnt vegetables, meat is flavourless, chips have no salt. Dessert was terrible too, we thought a M&S yule log would be better and more moist. Felt as if they were just mass imported from somewhere and not actually cooked. Considering price was £95 per person, it was shocking. A Michellin star restaurant in London can be cheaper but with food actually made with care. Only positive in service would be reception, as we didn't have to wait on the street and instead could come to cosy bar, as well as location, but that's obvious as its London Bridge.

Had the Sunday roast which was warm at best, dried up green beans, chunks rather than nicely sliced beef, Yorkshire was ok but the gravy was a scarcity. Tower Hill was a disappointing atmosphere very much a chain ☹️

Had a lovely valentines dinner last night and was served by a very attentive waiter. Second time here and it didn’t disappoint.

We had a great meal at Gaucho. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and we dined with incredible views of Tower Bridge.

Excellent service and food at gauchos. Will definitely be back and would recommend.

We had a delicious anniversary meal overlooking Tower Bridge

Food was great. Unfortunately one of the waitresses spilt wine all over my right arm while taking 'empties' back to the kitchen, which tarnished the night a little. Staff barely apologised and offered no financial aid for my ruined jumper.

Update following visit 10/02/2024. - Gaucho needs to be more attentive following a fundamental error. Invited two family members to Gaucho with our recommendation as they had not visited before. This may give mixed feedback although I feel this should never happen in a professional food establishment full stop. When all the main food was delivered to the table we found that three sides ( creamy mash ) was cold. This stopped 3 of 4 adults from eating. All three sides were removed from the table and replaced by the service team with new dishes although this took some 5 minutes. Question - should all the dishes require removing and returned together hot to allow the meal to continue. Hopefully the team can address this and decide on the correct actions going forward. I regard Gaucho Tower Bridge as one of the best but unfortunately not on this occasion. My favorite steak house by far. Tried many, but this place has everything. Great food, great wine list. Great views overlooking the Thames, plus many bars nearby if you wish to go for a day and finish the evening here. Recommend you visit this place.

Arrived and was greeted quickly We were seated and menu given to us They gave us time to make our choice On returning orders taken Starters and bread arrived but no drinks after waiting a while we then spoke to waiter to chase up drinks they arrived a while after. Think this is bad that food arrived before drinks and as much as he apologised it is not something you would expect and we were disappointed .would we return probably not Food was good steak was outstanding

Beautiful setting, excellent service. The steak was top class, unfortunately, to my disappointment the vegetables were not on par with the standard of steak and were very disappointing. The people who were seated after us and next to our table had dogs accompanying them. The party of people with the dogs could have easily been seated further away as there were empty tables with more space for the dogs. I have allergies and my aunt was uncomfortable eating around them. We were simply not consulted if the dogs were acceptable. Personally once the party with the dogs sat down it really destroyed the ambiance for us.

Scallops starter was slightly underwelming. Sirloin steak was good but have had better at cheaper restaurants elsewhere. Service was really friendly & helpful.

We had a post theatre meal for three, but because we only had an hour before getting a coach back to Cambridge the maitre-d' very kindly arranged for quick and efficient service.

We thought we would treat our daughter to the gaucho experience this was her first time, it’s been a little while since we last went and we were all looking forward to this. Amazing view of tower bridge, very loud in the restaurant and the waiter spoke very softly my husband’s hearing isn’t the best and we struggled to understand what he was saying, we read the menu and decided on you guessed it steak, they where delicious however the chips where really disappointing I wished I’d ordered mash. Loved the corn side but disappointed they don’t serve it up in the corn husk anymore, daughter enjoyed her Mac and cheese. Wine was really nice we plumbed tor Don David a red Malbec. Feel it was really expensive steak & chips meal that I have had better else where for much less. Will probably be a while before we return.

This is not a restaurant but a factory assembly line. Customers are not treated as such but as numbers and therefore they are not taken care of. Everything is fast and noisy so that you can finish and leave your place for the next customer. It is a shame because the position is fantastic and so is the food

Won't rush back paid £200 for 3 . 1 course 1 wine. Steaks were ok but felt the place was a bit of a production line . My steak was just ok not what I expected. Granted it was overlooking Tower Bridge so v popular but felt a let down for such a special meal .

Lovely restaurant in a great location, with amazing views! Steak was very good, so were the Honey Roasted Vegetables, could have been warmer however. However, the fries were disappointing as they were hard and cold

Ugly and unprofessional service. We visited the place and waited on reception for 15 minutes, receptionist did not even look at us, passing through as he/she/they was/were seating other guests. We was with our baby in a pram, so got a strong feeling that a family pair with child was not welcome there. the place is a shame

We have been to Gauchos many times over the years and it used to be a favourite- comfortable seating, unhurried, delicious food and great service. The last few times (at different restaurants) have been marred by what feels to be a change in working model. Cramped table crowded in, uncomfortable seats and service distinctly lacking. Being told you have a limited time as you’re sitting down doesn’t start the evening in the best way either. The meat is tasty but no better, the spiral cuts are now using multiple smaller pieces rather than a larger cut unrolled. Gauchos no longer feels special and we’re now looking elsewhere for our London steak fix.

I went with some girlfriends and we really enjoyed the ambience. The pasta was not good and we told the waitress but she didn’t take it off the bill. We didn’t want to further complain, so we left it but it would have been nice for that to be removed from the bill. Other than that, we had a great time.
