Waited two hours for collection to be ready. Didn’t even get the dollop I specifically asked for but probably still paid for.

No booking and they took us straight away....Good food and atmosphere

Couple on a Friday night. Never disappointed with Gatto's! My husband had fish and chips which he said was delicious and I had an excellent gluten free pizza followed by a pannacotta. Their coffee is also really good. The staff are lovely and there's always a great atmosphere.

Had a lovely meal in here. Service very good. Only issue I could find was once we received the bill and paid in notes we waited and waited on our change which we were for leaving as a tip and nothing was returned they just assumed that it was a tip. I feel you should always be offered your change.

Works Christmas Dinner, food was excellent, great value, and good service

We had two 24” pizzas which was a bit more than we needed after two starters for 6 people. Everything was so good that we ate every crumb. Extremely pleased with the servers and their patience with our group. Beautiful interior and clean bathrooms.

I went to Gattos midweek, after school, with my son and grandchildren, we all had a beautiful meal. One meal had to be gluten free, and they were able to accommodate us without any issues whatsoever. We were told the chef makes his own gluten free pasta, and it was delicious. We will definitely be returning to Gattos

Everyone went above and beyond to make sure everyone got their food, I absolutely loved my Caesar salad starter and Salt n chilli chicken for my main. Was so happy because the food was really delicious, everything cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend Gattos

First time in the place. Warm friendly welcome by the staff. Shown to our seats and didn’t take long for drink order, which arrived soon after. Food was ordered and was with us quickly. Hot and tasty. I had buffalo wings as starter. Plenty on the plate. Steaks ordered by my wife and I. Both done to perfection. Quality and quantity excellent. Will definitely be back.

Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were friendly. Choice on the menu was extensive. No Guinness zero boo! Pizzas were delicious expecially pepper sauce pizza. Chicken burger was huge. Onion rings were incredible and garlic chips were tasty.

Meeting for lunch with close cousins who live in Ballymena, along with a couple from Alabama, USA , it was a great menu which suited all tastes. Three of us chose a roast beef dinner - excellent beef with all the trimmings! Fairly last minute booking, but a great result!

Four of us went out for dinner and ordered three courses each. Food was universally good. I had ordered tge spinach and chicken main. Amazing. Friend said it was the best lasagne she's ever had. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Good steak, nice staff, lovely ambiance. Reasonable price. Went on a Friday night and had lovely steaks and a Caesar salad. Had a bit left over were offered a box to take the rest home.

Authentic Italian style pizzas. Will definitely go back the next day I'm in Ballymena.

Sunday lunch with my family. Good selection on the menu good service, nice decor. The main I had was smoked cod and I thought it was OK, disappointed that the roasties looked and tasted like Aunt Bessie's. The lasagne was a bit salty and the chips again I believe were Aunt Bessie's. The desserts were excellent. A little more effort on small details could make this place really good.

This used be to be the red peaches Chinese restaurant years ago, and that was the last time we were here, now Italian based, the food was excellent as was the service. Stuffed mushrooms were to die for and a large portion as a starter! Wife had chilli chicken and I chicken mushroom tagliatelle, both dishes beautiful and well presented! Back soon!

Totally awesome roast half chicken was to die for. The other half had fungi pizza all freshly made in house flavours were mouth watering

A restaurant we've visited again and again. The reason: Gattos food is VERY very tasty, very good quality ingredients, menu is varied and interesting, restaurant is impeccably clean and lovely and cosy and of course service really is second to none; absolutely excellent personable service - top marks for everything!

The food was delicious. The calamari, however, were so thin that you couldn't feel their flavor from the breading. We tried the Calamari, Gamberoni, Polpette and the Mozzarella Stix. And we took pizza peperoni for home - nice, I like it. The service was excellent, kind and friendly staff. The environment is pleasant, you can feel a slight unpleasant smell as soon as you enter, I guess from the kitchen, but you get used to it, it is not so obtrusive.

Had dinner with a friend, first time there and it won't be the last, lovely place, cosy and Christmasy! Staff were all lovely, excellent customers service and gorgeous food. Love it 😀

The food was very good even though we did not have pasta or pizza. The portion size was just right. The staff were attentive but not too much. There is a discount of 20% on Friday and Saturday lunchtimes, which was a lovely surprise at the end of the meal.

Ordered takeaway tonight, got told I couldn't order what I ordered last week by Mark. Then got told I could. Phoned after an hour and got told by Mark i ordered it only 30 mins prior and it was leaving in 5 minutes. Food arrived 1h35mins after I ordered it. Missing 2 dips, another 2 dips were wrong and my chilli nachos arrived with no chilli. Phoned my good friend Mark to mention the above and got told I didn't order it with chilli, but I definitely paid for it so unsure what happened there. Told them just to leave it. Normally get good service and food from here, wee bit on the expensive side, regardless, I'll not be back 😊

Das Essen (Vegetarische Nudeln und Lasagne) war sooo lecker. Wir haben im Anschluss noch einen Nachtisch (Panna Cotta und Brownie) bestellt. Reichlich und unglaublich gut! Würden sofort wieder dort essen. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Statt einem offenen Wein im Glas bestellt man sich hier eine kleine Flasche (Piccolo), hat uns aber nicht gestört. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Staffs are so much friendly and food quality is authentic home made and you can taste the difference too. After 5pm there is car park right outside and its free of charge. Luckily we arrived just after 5pm and few spaces were available. No need any further details on their quality of food. Just try and taste it. Well spent on Very clean toilets available too. Many deals available on various days. Take out deals on pizza available too.

Dined last night in Gattos, Great experience food was excellent beautifully served piping hot! We were a party of 10. Food was served very quick despite another table of 10 beside us and a busy restaurant! We will be back! Nice place but when I asked for my steak well done I was asked why I wanted it well done and made to feel like a bit of a bell end over it they tried to convince me to go rare, I just orderd the lasagne instead thanks but no thanks :/

Myself and my family go to Gattos regularly, and honestly can't ever fault it. The food for the price is fantastic- the Italian steak is particularly good, as well as the fresh pasta. Always a warm welcome from the staff too.

Dreadful service, I attempted to dine at Gattos tonight, firstly we were given water when seated waited a while then the waiter (I think was the manager) came to take a food order, we weren't even offered drinks. I ordered a starter combo and my partner ordered a pasta and we ordered 2 sides. Before I was even finished talking he was away. I had an incline something was to go wrong. Food came and it was just fritters. I stated that it was supposed to be the combo starter and before I could finish saying that we wanted all the food together, he was away again. The starter came. BY ITSELF AGAIN. My partner went up to the bar to ask if we could have the rest of the food out, as that Is what we intended. To be rudely told NO. Huh? I had enough and we both quickly left the premises and will not be returning again. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS SERVICE!!

The meal was scrumptious and service was wonderful. The music was a little loud which meant we had to talk a little louder. Prices are affordable. I would recommend and definitely revisit Gattos..

We didn't know what to expect, as we were simply looking for somewhere for all three of us to eat where we didn't have to book. It was fairly quiet, but it certainly wasn't because of anything wrong with the food - far from it! It'll definitely be on our list to return to next time.

Pizza was really dry and not as succulent and juicy as a cheese pizza should be. Salt n chilli calamari didn't taste of salt or chilli. Charging the price they do for that bland calamari is embarrasing. The mayo was the tastiest thing on the plate.

The 3stars I am only given only for the very good food. No complaints about it at all. However the rest of our dinner was a shambles tonight. We arrived, got seated and no one asked for drinks, we asked a waiter for drinks but once one person gave his order he just left. Not asking the rest if the table if they wanted a drink. We had to ask again when they returned. We ordered our food, was quite busy so we understood may have been a little wait. While food was being brought down 2 of the burgers fell on the floor. So obviously these had to be brought back and my pizza was stone cold. I asked for this to be reheated. Which it was reluctantly. Got one strained apology by the waiter, and while we where eating in stages waiting on food not one person came to check on us. Now after all this we where charged the full amount, now we didn't want something for nothing, but even a free drink or 10% off the bill. Just disappointed we tried to be nice and understanding but for not even a goodwill gesture was not good. I have worked in hospitality for years and would never have expected a table with all that happened to leave with out a small gesture.

Never stayed large party of females absolute bedlum very noisy couldn't hear myself think. I was really looking forward to it too.
