The portions are massive and the prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend coming here, especially if you're hungry!

I came here for brunch with a friend and what a wonderful surprise! Expectations delightfully exceeded, it's such a quirky, cosy and friendly place. Tara looked after us beautifully and my burger, made with buttery, soft chicken thighs was mouthwatering - so much nicer than the usual dry chicken breast I usually end up with at similar eateries. The chipotle mayo (homemade, as is everything there) was perfectly smokey and spicy and the accompanying serving of fries was way too big for me to finish. Bravo!! I was impressed to hear that Gas Station source local and sustainable ingredients and the fabulous cakes - mmmm! I'll be back very soon (can't wait to try the cocktails 😜) - highly recommend! 👏👏👏

been to Gastown in Macclesfield for food few times now. what a fabulous place. the food is top notch, and you can tell everything is good quality and made from scratch. the staff and the owners are really friendly and make you feel so welcome. special mention to the lovely Tara who gives service with a genuine smile. this is one of my favourite places to eat. Great food, excellent service and a unique atmosphere. I highly recommend

Avoid. I went here for the first time last Saturday about 1pm. The ground floor wasn’t busy and there were several seats available. Looks beautiful on the outside, but the inside is disappointing and looks unclean. The tables and menus are sticky and there are food stains up the white walls. The decor is very low budget which if the premises was clean and well serviced, I would overlook. Me and my friend ordered drinks which took 10 minutes to come. We ordered two burgers which after 30 minutes of waiting I asked the staff how much longer they would be and nobody seemed to know about our order, so they said they’ll sort it. The food was very obviously low-cost cash n carry food put in the oven, not worth the £12 charged. The lady on the table next to us was trying to get the staff’s attention for several minutes to order. The annoying thing is, there were about 6-8 staff all stood around the till chatting. It seemed an excessive amount of staff for the venue and doesn’t really seem acceptable to have the poor service when there’s no shortage of staff. Needless to say that I won’t be returning here. For all the cafes opening in Macc, I’m unable to see how this one can compete and for how poor our experience was, I can only think that this place exists for laundering purposes.

I had two poached eggs on sourdough bread. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the bread was delicious. Accompanied with a Decaf latte. I enjoyed my breakfast and would recommend GasTown.

Lovely lunch today, halloumi and chicken burgers with fries. Both very tasty and value for money. Fries hot and crisp. Would definitely recommend and will return. Staff all great.

Went for lunch today with my husband. Best chai latte I’ve ever had! Haloumi burger was delicious, as were the fries. Hubby had the BLT and said the bacon was amazing. Great atmosphere and service too, will definitely be back.

Cute cafe for breakfast & lunch.. But the best part is.... Im from America/Florida and got the hot honey fried chicken sandwich and hands down its the best one i have eaten in my 40 years of living. Im going again tomorrow before i leave to go back to America.

A regular breakfast stop for me, with a cracking breakfast option for GF-eaters. Why don’t more places do Gf sausages?! Their Eggs Benedict is great. Good coffee and good pricing.

Love the food here! Always so fresh and tasty. Service is super hit or miss, often rude, but the food more than makes up for it! And the insane playlists entertain enough to distract me from occasionally feeling disappointed in the service.

In my opinion the best breakfast in Macclesfield. The other food is great too, nothing fancy but what it does it does really well and family friendly. Great service and the upstairs seating is lovely. Right in the middle of town and not too expensive either. Spot on.

First time here....Nice coffee, setting amd attentive staff. Arrived at 9:50 and order taken and served it at 10:25 so quite a wait on food. Great quality and presentation when it did arrive. Will give it a other try as food is really good.

Good choice of food offered. Homemade soup vg with generous thick slices of brown bread. Staff helpful and courteous. Good atmosphere.

Never been in my life no idea why they asked me to comment. I posted my 1st review because Google maps for some reason suggested it. I have since taken it off my phone. I visited this place just to see and I must say "GREAT FOOD" and I will be going again hence the 5*'s which is more than I can say for *#c^ Google maps.

Absolutely fantastic cafe! I had cake and it was mind-blowingly delicious. The cafe was selling it under the moniker 'World's Best Cake' and I don't think they were far wrong. I wish I'd bought an extra slice to bring home. It was very moist with a buttercream icing that was just sweet enough. My friend had the smaller of two breakfasts that were available and said it was very tasty. The interior of the cafe is all wood and quirky knick-knacks; there's so much to look at, yet it's still relaxing and peaceful. And the staff are just brilliant. If this place wasn't so far away, I'd be here all the time. Go there, just go!!

Went for breakfast with a friend recently. The service is good, although perhaps a tad slow given that it wasn’t that busy on a weekday morning. Coffee was good quality (cappuccino) We both went for the small breakfast. The quality was good, and for a small portion it was more than substantial enough. Particular highlights were the hash browns, toast (very thick and buttery) and you can choose what eggs you prefer. One very minor point was, I’m not a fan of black pudding, so would have like to change for an additional rasher of bacon however that was not allowed…. It’s a slight shame as you are paying around £8 for a small breakfast so would have thought that’s a fair swap, even so it was still very nice and a 4 star feed!

can be good, can be less so. not sure if they changed chefs in the last couple of years but have found when I would go more regularly the breakfasts can be hit and miss. never bad - just not always top. when they're good though they're really good

Came here with a group of work colleagues and pre-ordered. Service was amazing with all the dishes coming out in quick succession. I've had plenty of breakfasts in my time but the "Full works" is probably the best I've had. All the other dishes got full marks too from colleagues. Thanks

I have come up from the South to visit my Mum and Dad and we have eaten here twice in three days. I've had perfect poached eggs on toast and so did my Mum. My Dad had a bacon sandwich and a sausage sandwich two days ago. We also had lovely coffee and juice. Really great service and worth every penny. I would highly recommend this café.
