Georgous mature cheddar toastie dripping in cheese, yummy. But the most delicious was the parsnip and broccoli salad. I will be back.

Food is good quality & the cakes are homemade & delicious, good cup of tea or coffee. Lovely in the summer to sit in the garden, although it's in the middle of Cowley Road it is so peaceful.

This was my first visit to this community garden cafe and I thought it was lovely. The food was fresh and tasty and will be going there again very soon.

I volunteered as a service user at Restore for 18 months in 2012-14, when I was going through a particularly rough patch. Lovely place, friendly staff, and the cafe follows this idea.

These melt in your mouth and are packed full of taste, I want to go back and eat another one straight away it was so good. They are also doing salad bowls now as well which are great value and a different variety to the norm. They also have a "chatty" table as well which is great if you fancy a bit of company or a chat just sit at the table for as long as you like and the sign encourages others to join you this is a new initiative and I really like the idea.

Just had a takeaway banana bread made by one of our members. Delicious I would def recommend with a decadent bit of butter on it

I just have to say if you are passing the Garden Cafe today pop in and have a slice of the Raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. It is delicious and very moorish. Damn the diet it is worth the calories.

Set in a beautiful garden, this place makes you feel good with a calm, friendly environment and very tasty cheap food. The lunch meal deal for £5 gives you so much better food than a supermarket. I love this place.

Having to wait for my car to be fixed, I found this jewel of a cafe on one of the busy routes into Oxford - yards away from the main road but perfectly calm and still, no traffic noise and - given that it was about 27C - shady! The chap that served me - a shout out to Shaz! - my iced coffee (recommended) and white chocolate muffin (also recommended) was kind enough to take it to a table outside for me as I was using a walking stick and thus couldn't carry it. I don't live in Oxford but will certainly be mentioning it to all my Oxford-based friends, and I look forward to visiting again.

The Garden Cafe is my No 1 place to meet up with friends in Cowley. The garden is lovely - so tranquil. The cafe is clean and welcoming with a wonderful atmosphere. And the vegetarian food is scrumptious.

Restaurar's Garden Café es un tranquilo oasis enclavado en el ajetreo y el bullicio de este Oxford. La comida es excelente, mis platos favoritos son la amplia variedad de ensaladas frescas y samosas pero también sirven increíble quiches, patatas chaqueta y paninis, así como una selección de deliciosos pasteles. También ofrecen comida adecuada para la mayoría de necesidades dietéticas. Los jardines son preciosos, incluso en los meses de invierno y ofrecen un lugar de santuario. Me encanta venir a el Garden Cafe, es un lugar muy agradable para comer y beber. Mi plato favorito es el que está cargado de nachos, delicioso! Los flapjacks son muy sabrosas. This is a lovely independent cafe. The secluded garden is a calm oasis in the hustle bustle of East Oxford. The cafe serves great coffee and other drinks - hot and cold. The cakes are delicious and very tempting - all home made and vary from day to day. The lunch menu is also varied and, having tried several of the options, I can say everything is freshly prepared and the portions generous. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. There are all sorts of handmade items to buy to support the work of Restore the mental health charity whose members help run the cafe.

This is a very special café with a lovely ambience and a beautiful garden, set back from the hurly-burly of the Cowley Road, in Oxford. And it is enjoyed by everyone from young mums and babes to workers and people with more time on their hands. The food is both delicious and seasonal. And the fact that the (excellent) staff are in the main people on their journey of recovery from severe mental illness adds special important dimension

El Café es luminoso y espacioso con mesas al aire libre en un hermoso jardín. Yo ocasionalmente en un pop Barista café de comercio justo, pero en esta ocasión me decidí por un almuerzo ligero. Yo opté por el frijol blanco, sopa de alcachofas de Jerusalén y cúrcuma sirve con pan integral. El era generoso, abundante y deliciosa. Hay acceso para discapacitados así como los aseos. Es muy accesible por autobús, que está tan bien como no hay aparcamiento disponible.

En abril de sol el jardín estaba lleno de gente y disfrutando su almuerzo y era hermosa en una zona tan concurrida tener tan tranquila calma.

Una porción de la parte tranquila de la vida. No frenéticas y prisa como muchas tiendas de café de cadena. Este café es increíblemente acogedor con productos artesanales disponibles para comprar. Tienen un precioso jardín con asientos al aire libre. Es adecuado para niños (bravo), pero no por pequeños (no ruidoso - mi hijo durmiendo en su sillita alojado, cuando cualquier otro lugar, en el estruendo de la cafetera es patética para un niño descansando! ) tuve un té verde caliente, que era muy sabroso. . . Ahora sólo me gustaría que viviese en Oxford!

La comida del restaurante es restaurar simplemente increíble: deliciosa, sabrosa y saludable. Las raciones son generosas y los precios (pequeño! ). El menú ofrece una buena variedad de opciones. El lugar es cálido, agradable y tranquilo, como el personal encantador. Ojalá tuviera un sitio como este de regreso a casa!

Muy buen café y tortas tentadoras sirve en este tranquilo lugar justo al lado del animado Cowley Rd. Un gran lugar para ser solo o encontrarse con amigos. Es perfecto para los corredores Garden Cafe después de nuestro mañana miércoles!

Parte enorme, repleto de aceitunas y una salsa muy sabrosa cada vez vuelvo a la cafetería de la comida es excelente, a veces hay una pequeña espera pero, por la calidad de la comida que es un pequeño precio a pagar.

Escape del estrés y las tensiones de la vida en la cafetería restaurar. Me encanta venir a este lugar. Un pequeño oasis lejos del mundo pese a estar al lado de una de las carreteras más bulliciosas de Oxford. Personal amable, buena comida. Aparcamiento muy limitado. Mejor bajar. This was my second visit to the Garden Cafe. Today I spent time here catching up on some work, having lunch and then having a business meeting. The food is excellent, especially the cake, and the coffee hits the spot which is important to me because I am a bit of a coffee snob.There are two reasons for me saying " a lovely warm feeling" in the title of my review. One is that I arrived on my motorbike and was a bit chilly (despite it being 2nd June!!) so it was really nice to get into the clean, cosy, warm and friendly space. Secondly, you do get a warm feeling from being in a place where such valuable work takes place and everyone is so positive.Try it - you won't be disappointed.

Simply my favourite cafe in Oxford, in a beautiful and quiet garden setting - friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and a perfect place to meet friends for coffee or lunch.

I have had many a fine lunch in the Restore cafe and yesterday was no exception and wanted to take a few moments to say thanks. The warm welcome, warm room, wonderful variety of food, happy smiling staff who are only too pleased to help and a range of hand made gifts make it a great place for me to head for both professional or social meetings alike. Since finding this place I have recommended to friends and colleagues alike - and will be back soon. Thank you for providing such a lovely place to be.

Good vibes, family friendly (highchairs), great place to meet friends, read a book, or have a relaxed business lunch. Not to mention the friendly staff and yummy food! There's a pretty garden outside perfect for soaking up the summer sun and a cosy inside to enjoy a hot chocolate (or other hot drink) in the colder months.A great selection of hot and cold lunches, drinks, sweet treats and loads of lovely things like jams, chutneys, hand crafted jewellery, woodcraft and handmade cards in the shop.I had the samosa, dhal, potato salad with fresh leaves. It was delicious! Thoroughly recommended.

I regularly have lunch here and always enjoy the experience. The staff and volunteers are helpful and a cheery bunch. You should be aware that the opening hours are 10.00am until 16.00pm Mondays to Saturdays but hot food only from 12.00 to 14.00pm.

The cafe wasn't open as early as the website said, but once open offered hot drinks and very limited food (at 11.15); several cold sausage rolls, samosas and a couple of cakes. No hot food before 12... actually no food other than that on display (we asked for a sandwich). The cafe looked clean and welcoming and the people were friendly, but it didn't offer the food we'd gone looking for.. we went elsewhere.

Working near Cowley Centre, I usually go to the Ark (the Church cafe around the back, next to the multi-storey). However, they're closed for a week or two, so I have finally got round to visiting this place. Yes, it eats into my lunch break a little (20min) but it was worth it. I had an excellent samosa, with daal and salad. All homemade, I'd guess, judging by the wealth and variety of vegetables in the samosa. My only criticism is that I would have liked a little more flatbread/pitta to go with it. One little piece wasn't enough. Next time I'll try the burrito or soup. They also do a loyalty card, so in a month or so, I look forward to a free lunch.The setting is quiet and relaxing, with space to sit outside and get some air. Even outside, you'd never realise you were so close to Cowley Road, such is the coccoon of calm in the garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.Open from 10-4pm Mon-Sat, (hot food until 2.30pm, which almost caught me out).Very highly recommended. Thank you Restore.

It was great to find this little gem in busy Oxford. Set just off a busy main road we suddenly found ourselves in this little tranquil haven. The service was warm and friendly, the food excellent and the surroundings relaxed. The outdoor area was set in a gorgeous little garden that made you forget you were in a city. Wonderful place, well worth a visit. Thank you.

this place has a garden protected from the noise and bustle of the Cowley Road, it's like an oasis. They do a very good bean burrito too.

This place has a very friendly local feel and is very hidden away from the bustle of Cowley Road. I had a nice large bowl of soup with some excellent brown bread and a coffee. The cafe feels more like a community centre than a restaurant, and is an excellent noncommercial local place to escape from the stress of daily life for a few minutes.

This place is an oasis on the Cowley Road. The garden is beautiful and the cafe produce delicious food, cakes and coffees. The soup is heavenly but do make sure to bring your appetite as the portions are generous. WIFI is available if you need it yet it is very family and child friendly. Well worth a visit!

I cannot believe that somewhere so beautiful can be tucked away in a road so busy. The cafe has a great homemade menu, proper coffee and importantly fantastic settings to sit and relax. The high hedge garden walls and wild flowers place you in tranquility rather than the busy kerfuffle or an Oxford Road. Well worth a visit and I'm sure you'll return.

The Restore Garden Cafe is located right at the top of Cowley Road, a perfect spot to start or finish your shopping on the busy second high street of Oxford. The garden is beautiful all year round and the mosaic is a particular attraction, having been hand made by the service users at Restore.The food can be a bit on the expensive side, for the area at any rate, but that money is going to an excellent charity that helps those with mental illness get back into work and give them a lovely and encouraging space to go during the week.

The restore garden is a beautiful oasis on Cowley Road- I visited initially just for a coffee but the food looked so appealing I had lunch.The staff were very friendly and accommodating of both my friend's allergies and my veganism- they checked very carefully what was in everything, including any bread!Everything was lovely and hearty- the salad that came with the meal had lots of interesting things in it.

I really like this café. The food is well priced and very tasty. I love the garden and a visit on a sunny day makes you forget you are in the centre of Cowley road. The fact that your money is going back into the charity is great and makes it well worth it.

I come here all the time for a nice retreat from the cowley road, the gardens are beautiful, the people that run it are very nice too and very helpful.My kids love running around the garden when the weather is good.Great home cooked food at very reasonable prices!!
