04/02/2019: Feeling hungry after a cold and blowy walk we decided to try The Mermaid.We were greeted and shown to our table and presented with a nice menu.My wife chose the Whitebait and I the Baked Camembert,both very nice.For the main course my wife had a good Fish Stew and I the Sea Bass with a tasty risotto.The bottle of White Rioja was both very tasty and good value for money.Service was also good so we will definately be returning in the future.

24/01/2019: There is a reason its always no.1 in Swansea as it never disappoints, not on flavour, quality, imagination, flavour combinations nor service. We love the fact that the menu changes every 7 weeks so you are sure to get a seasonal menu. The tasting menu is exceptional value as the amount of flavour packed into each element makes the combinations sing.
04/11/2018: I had heard a lot about this restaurant and finally got a chance to visit recently with the wife and some friends. Small and intimate it really is all about the food and it certainly didn’t disappoint. From the delightful L’amuse Bouche followed by Poached Quail, Confit Leg, Quail Consommé, Sweetcorn & Chorizo and then a main course of Salt Marsh Lamb, Shank, Rack & Sweetbreads, Swede Puree & Salt Baked Swede and concluded with Blackberry Teacake and Blackberry Sorbet each was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. Others chose the likes of Poached Turbot, White Crab, Brown Butter & Sea Herbs for mains and they too really enjoyed their food.
