We had Sunday roast here it was nice but tasted very peppery even though I didn't add pepper to my food. I noticed the server using the same tongs for the meats which I didn't agree to as I've worked in kitchens for over 18s years and always used different tongs for different meats but other than that it was okay. Background music bit loud for my likely

Words fail to describe how good this place is! Their Guiness is sheer perfection - I don't know what they do to it but its 10/10 - as good or even better than I've had in Ireland - If you don't live near DON'T have the Guiness here as nothing else will ever compare! The Service - all the staff soo friendly and helpful 10/10 The food - The Cabbage, Ham , Potato and Parlsey Sauce - Man - Sooo Good as is everything on the Menu - And just when you think things can't get better, try the Sunday Carvery - it tastes homemade, 1000 better than a Toby Carvery - even the Carrots are out of this world! Easily one of the best Pubs I've been to - Can't be faulted, well maybe the crowds that go there on Sundays and when events are on! Hardly the Pubs fault for being so popular!

The manager with the beard who hails from Cabra is extremely abrasive, rude, surly and aggressive. The owner is an Angel. Lovely door staff. Some bartenders fantastic, others very green but nice. Food is hit and miss, but it was St Patrick’s day. Entertainment good by UK standards or mediocre by Irish standards. This is an Irish pub. Experience would have been much better if the ‘manager’ wasn’t there. Enjoyed the drinks & Tayto crisps

Please check your drinks as they may very well be out of date, when we pointed this out to the manager, he got on the defensive and accused us of trying to start trouble, then went as far as refusing to serve us. The manager is extremely rude and I know for a fact that I’m not the only person to think this, customers are leaving this place in there droves. Avoid if you want good customer service.

Went here on Sunday afternoon to watch a football match. There were lots of people but despite that we were able to get a table. The service was great and the staff are really friendly. The Carvery food looked delicious and although I enquired about it, I didn’t eat because we were not hungry. Food prices seemed quite reasonable. This place is located a few mins walk from Morden station and I will certainly visit again and next time will try the food.

Went to the China Garden restaurant for my annual Christmas meal with friends, and ended up afterwards for a couple of pints at Ganleys. Lovely Irish atmosphere as always, certainly much more than your chain pubs, 'cos the place is full of proper natives of the Emerald Isle, staff always friendly, and it's a proper place that has been decorated with deep care and attention. Exudes authenticity. Couple of Coors Light washed down the Chinese food far better than the Tsingtao. But while having a quick last smoke in the back garden at closing time, here is this staff member fella, cleaning out the ashtrays, and then starts balancing them up like a proper circus act. Took a while, but let me tell you, quite impressive little gem it was to see that stack of clay ashtrays on tenterhooks like that. He seems to do it just for fun, wasn't looking for anyone but himself, but laughed with us when it caught our attention. "I'm not leaving till you got it right" I told him, to which we all had a good laugh. I think that sums of up the place. Fairly junior staff guy, end of his shift, still in a good enough mood to have a bit of fun. Nice one Ganleys, and nice one "MJ" I'll call him, and you can probably see in the photo, why.

This is the best Irish pub I have been in for a long time, the pub is big and has a lot of Irish memorabilia dotted around including old direction signs from roads in Ireland mostly from Galway and Roscommon so I being from there certainly feel at home. There are loads of large screen TVs dotted about the bar including two huge big screens, they have full Sky package including Irish channels and ESPN. Whatever sport you follow you can find it on a screen in this pub. Towards the rear of the bar they have a stage for live music which is on at weekends, on Saturday night the bar is open until 1am. As a special they have a keg bitter Ruddles Best which is sold for £2.10 per pint! Great value! Beside the pub they have a restaurant/ Cavery where the food is great and pricing very reasonable. You can also eat in the bar area I personally had the chilli and was amazed by the size of the portion and quality of the food. This is well worth a visit even just to eat if not for drink. We visited the cafe part, which had somewhat "Cheesy" decor but which was spotlessly clean, for Afternoon Tea as recommended by the very genial and friendly Irish Owner. (Its surprising how few Irish Pubs actually have Irish Owners). The scones were large, fresh, warm and very tasty as was the cream and Jam. My wife had a large slice of lemon meringue pie which she said was also delicious. The tea was excellent and plentiful. The staff were helpful and friendly. When my wife went to pay the bill she was very pleasantly surprised that it only cost £5 for both of us. That must be some kind of record for Greater London. Firstly this place is on the other side of the road from the Tube station in MORDEN, not Sutton as the address suggests. My friends and I were looking for somewhere to eat lunch which is different from the usual Morden selection of fish & chips, burger, kebab and fried chicken. Somewhere not too crowded. And WE FOUND IT :) No offence to Morden but once inside this homely and welcoming Irish cafe/restaurant you could almost think you were on holiday somewhere outside London. The decor is interesting & traditional without being tacky. Staff are friendly and helpful and the menu is very extensive for a small concern. Service is not superfast but good food is worth waiting a little for & it's not fast food type junk. I chose the seafood pasta from the summer specials menu which might have been taking a chance in a place I'd never before eaten in. It was delicious, tasted fresh and the amount of seafood generous. My friends' meals also looked delicious. I can also recommend an Irish Club soft drink- the lemon was refreshing. One of my friends was raving about her pot of tea and said it was the nicest tea she'd had in years! I noticed people taking tea and cake from a lovely varied selection and even a lady buying more cake to take home. I noticed highchairs at the side so babies are probably catered for. Not sure if there is a disabled access loo or not.So in conclusion, this is a place worth stopping at whether for coffee/tea and cake or a main meal.

It was easy to find directly opposite tube station at Morden,We were greeted warmly and given a table the menu had something for everyone from Irish Stew to Taglateli Con fromachi, we had a few ice cold beers, at one stage we went to the toilet and on returning our drinks had gone only to be returned by the barman who had taken them and put them in the cooler , nice touch!Must say all the staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working at Ganley's, this translates into a great experience for the customer as for me the service is 51% of the experience if not more important, thanks to all in Ganley's for a great afternoon on our London holiday.

The Sunday roast is good, plenty of meat and sides. May be too much food on the plate so get ready to eat a lot. Price range from just under £10 to £13 approx for the monster plate.Def worth going for a Sunday lunch and dinner together.

I have eaten here 3 times this year and have not been disappointed! This pub is across the road from Morden train station, as you step inside you leave that busy bustling shopping street, and enter a haven of great food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. If you are going there for lunch just make sure you have skipped breakfast because the plates and portions are massive. I have had the fish and chips, chilli con carne and the chicken curry and enjoyed each one. The fish has a lovely batter on it, the chilli is delish, and the curry superb. My family have tried the bacon and cabbage and they loved it. The menu is quite big so lots of choice, and a specials board is available. Also the food is very reasonably priced. The bar staff are very attentive and you get served straight away, the guiness is very good too! Plenty of seating, would highly recommend for lunch.

Popped in for a pint on a Sunday. Was entertained by a cavernous Madame Tussaud version of Ireland complete with fake plastic road signs and a lady singing Emerald Hits on a massive karaoke system. A Morden From Dusk Til Dawn...

came out of Sainsbury's in Morden looking for a nice pub. Discovered Ganleys on the high street opposite the Northern line Morden Station. So very Irish and friendly . Met Angus a hospitable New Zealand plumber from Cheam. We chatted for over an hour about the pub, and how much he had loved it since he discovered it many years ago. He, Ganleys and the Guiness were memorable.

This pub has a good atmosphere, a good place to chill for a few hours. You can go in alone and not be bothered at all by anyone. The food is very good and the portions are Huge, especially the Sunday Roast and the fish and chips. Good value for money, with music at weekends. Nice place to visit

Went for a Sunday Roast yesterday after a previous good experience. Was slightly put off by the cheerful young man carving the meat, stopping to blow his nose, and then returning to carving without washing his hands.3 of the 4 of our group had the turkey and ham and have had diarrhoea and vomiting since the early hours of the morning. Ham was very chewy, and I now suspect not properly cooked. Ok the portions are huge but I will definitely be going for quality not quantity in future. Still feel rough!

Went to Ganley's last night with my wife, to watch Munster/Saracens rugby with some friends.Planned to get there a bit early to have a quick meal. We enjoyed really good curry (wife) and fish dinner (self), at very reasonable prices. The bar service is really prompt- the staff know what they are about. It had a fantasitic buzz about the place, withour appearing any way over the top. Everyone seemed to be having a really good time. Would definitely go back for future rugby matches.

....sometimes you have to stand back and see the "wood for the trees"! I revoke my previous review. This establishment cares NOT one jot for customer loyalty in fact it's more a case of familiarity breeds contempt! The pork belly and bbq ribs made myself and my friend dreadfully sick! The staff's attitude was 'so what'! Was completely shocked when we said we'd never return after several incidents and the response was a shrug of the shoulders. I had wondered why, recently, other local eateries were packed to capacity but this place was losing customers by the bucket load. It's okay though, as a customer, I can vote with my feet and I did!

Warm hospitality an excellent sunday roast to a very good standard. The portion was jaw dropping. The wine menu was good with a very reasonable Chablis. Tabke service with a smile. The chef carver brought a smile with over the top humour. A gem and well worth a visit.

This restaurant has a carvery Sunday lunch that is unbeatable. Forget ones at Ewell and Beaumont, they pale significantly when compared as blatantly mass produced food of mediocre calibre.Name the roast meat and it is on the menu at Ganley's: lamb, chicken, beef, pork, gammon all perfectly cooked. Yorkshire Puds, meat based stuffing, crackling, good selection of vegetables. Very generous meat serving. I am a bit of a cook and it takes a lot to impress me but this place is a littke gem. We go on public transport and have wine, bus stop outside and tube, Northern line, over the road. We've also eaten al le carte Mon - Sat and that meal was outstanding too.
