Gallinis brasserie in Swansea

Tak się złożyło, że po latach doświadczania menu innych restauracji w Swansea wróciłam do Gallini's. To była piękna, kulinarna przygoda. Jest to niezawodna opcja na zjedzenie świeżej ryby, przyrządzonej i podanej w przyjazny dla podniebienia i oka sposób. Jako 'czekadełko' zaserwowano nam wypiekany na miejscu chleb i lekko solone masło. Chleb - bajka (kupiliśmy bochenek na wynos - upieczono nam na poczekaniu!). Wolałabym nieco mniej wypieczone i nasączone tłuszczem ziemniaczki, ponadto nie ma się do czego przyczepić. Znajomi jedli jagnięcinę i kaczkę - zapewniali, że delikatne i rozpływające się w ustach. Na deser obowiązkowe tiramisu - palce lizać! Wspaniała, komunikatywna obsługa (pani była managerką lokalu) oraz tak lubiany przeze mnie widok na marinę dopełniły świetną atmosferę. Grazie mille! - wrócę z pewnością.

Abbiamo pranzato per festeggiare la laurea di nostra figlia. Abbiamo mangiato ottimamente con le prelibatezze preparate dallo chef Joe (Giuseppe), servite con professionalità e simpatia da Maria e Sarah. Il tutto accompagnato da ottimi vini (vi consiglio il primitivo del Salento). Da non trascurare la vista sul porto turistico di Swansea. Una esperienza davvero piacevole. Consigliatissimo.

Buen descubrimiento el que hicimos una noche vagando por Swansea buscando para cenar con la familia y unos amigos. Era tarde y el restaurante estaba a tope, aún así el personal súper atento nos emplazo en media hora. Quedamos gratamente satisfechos tanto de la cocina como de la atención recibida. Al día siguiente ya solía volvimos a repetir . Muchas gracias por la atención recibida.

30th wedding anniversary, where do I plan for Mrs Davies this year?We had no travel plans for this one so I looked for somewhere local. After some research, both on here and Google, I came up with Gallini's, neither of us had been here before although I've been passing it on my way to work for several years.Hassle free booking made for 19:00 on May 11th we wandered around SA1 until the arranged time....Ok, through the door up the stairs and let's get seated, seat by the window sir? Yes please, nice view over the adjacent marina.Drinks ordered the specials board was presented, starters? antipasti for Mrs. Davies, Meatballs for me, both of these finished with gusto, very enjoyable and we sat back and awaited our main courses....Crab ravioli for Mrs D, duck for me with a side order of cheesey garlic bread.Both dishes of this course also delicious, our normal chit chat dropping off as we ate, the food was that good.So, sitting there, stuffed, the desert menu was presented. Mrs Davies declined, I, however, went for the ice cream and espresso (try this if you haven't already, it really works).We were then asked if it was our first time at Gallini's? Well, yes it was despite them being there for 25 years, but trust me, it won't be our last.... see you soon

Went here on the off chance! What a find. Food was great lovely fresh fish hubby had homemade lasagne. King prawns in garlic YUM. Service was good - nothing too much trouble. Lovely food great views - defiantly worth a visit. Reasonably priced.

Visited after reading other reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Friendly staff, superb chef who came out to meet all, great food and a view over the marina. Recommend for all fish lovers!

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends. The menu was lovely especially the set menu of 2 courses for £9.95. I had bruschetta for starter and pollo pollo dor main course. The food was very tasty. My only comment was that some vegetables would have made the plate a little more balanced (even if only a handful of peas or side salad) although at that price i would have ordered a side order of vegetables if i had realised. The staff spoke limited english and sometimes it was hard to make yourself understood. However, it all unravelled a little when we tried to pay separately for our food as the gentleman who was taking the money found it difficult to bill us individually (we were 16 in our group).

Coming from a large family who love cooking & food, it is almost impossible for us ladies to go out for a meal without something being wrong..... But and this is a huge BUT for us.... we have found a restaurant that none of us had any fault whatsoever in Gallinis.On Friday I came to Swansea to visit the family and we went for a girls night out, we took all morning deciding where to go, and struck gold here.... On arrival waiter greeted and sat us down immediately, ✔table, cutlery and glasses were spotless ✔ Menus & Special boards straight away, and he explained any questions we had (always many)✔Drinks arrived within a couple minutes✔Food not long after & every meal was perfect with no complaints whatsoever and this have never been known when we are all together....✔Waiters were friendly, but not overly or intrusive✔And to top it off, a beautiful view of the marina....✔KThis is a rare find that we will all definitely be returning to. Definitely a place we will return to

We had dinner to celebrate friends’ birthdays. Haven’t visited for years. The two course meals were reasonably priced. The portions were on the generous side. The food was average.

Found this Italian restaurant hidden in the Maritime Quarter in Swansea. Extremely authentic Italian atmosphere and the most fantastico Italian dishes and situated right on the marina with beautiful views. We were so impressed. Owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The wine list offers an impressive variety from all the main wine producing countries. If you are wanting a special meal and experience I recommend Gallini’s.

If you love food, you’ll love it here! It wasn’t the most expensive but neither was it cheap. The portions more than made up for it they were huge. They offered to fillet the sea bass tables side for us and gave us advise on the specials. Traditional Italian recipes run by a lovely Italian family! The service was second to none, such personality from both people and the food. Have told everyone I know about. Definitely worth a visit!

I have visited Gallini's on a number of occasions over the last 13 years and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. I have previously always written favourable reviews but unfortunately the last visit was rather disappointing and surprising, especially given all the good experiences on previous visits. We visited as part of a group dinner for a friend's birthday and were told on arriving that we would need to order drinks at the bar instead of table service. Four of us waited a little while at the bar to be served, and after my three friends were served their wine, I was next in line to be served, having stood there purse in hand for a good while, but was completely blanked by the man serving at the bar! Instead, a lady who had joined the queue some time after me was served next. When I spoke, he carried on serving her and no apology was given. We had pre-ordered our food and for my starter I ordered plain melon. It was served wrapped in Parma ham so I explained it was plain melon that I had ordered. A few minutes later the waiter returned with a plate of Parma ham! I explained again it was plain melon I had ordered and when it came, it was hard and tasted of Parma ham so instead of issuing a fresh one, they had just removed the Parma ham! For main the Spaghetti Bolognese was great and thoroughly enjoyable. We weren't asked if we would like to see the dessert menu or whether we would like any coffees and we had to wait ages for the bill despite being the last table left. Based on previous visits I would return but it was a shame it wasn't on form this time.

We ate at Gallinis for the first time today but definitely not the last. My husband had cod and chips. He’s still raving about it, the cod was white, fresh and flaky in a light, crisp batter, served with homemade chips and a large mixed salad. I had chicken in a peppercorn sauce, which was creamy and peppery. I followed my meal with the best tiramisu ever. It was light and fluffy and served in a glass, nothing like the slice of bought in tiramisu cake you often get in restaurants. My only slight criticism was the restaurant was a bit cold, but the warm welcome from Selcuk more than made up for that.

Wow that's all I can say about this restaurant! Couldn't of picked a better place to eat! Sat by the window overlooking the marina didn't feel as if your in Swansea! The food is outstanding for the price they charge £9.95 for 2 courses. Sarah looked after us with everything we needed and what a pleasant young lady she is, very friendly and chatty! We will be returning stunning food and excellent service by all the staff! Highly recommended to all!

Treated for my birthday , such fabulous value, 2 course lunchtime special, so many choices, you are spoilt for choice, good size portions , so tasty, nice atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed, too full to have desert, but they all sounded very tempting too, will definitely be returning, thank you all very much,

I’ve been meaning to visit here for quite a while & I certainly ŵwon’t leave it too long until I come back. They have an excellent lunchtime set menu which still offers an amazing amount of choice and at 9.95 is fantastic value. The service is excellent & unobtrusive. Would happily recommend to anyone.

Great location, friendly owner, good service, relaxed atmosphere but best of all the food was excellent. Will definitely be visiting again.

Super food great service everything we ordered was delicious. There is a lunchtime menu £9.95 for 2 courses with a great selection but you can also order off the main menu. We had soup to start 1 Minestrone and 1 chicken & Tarragon both delicious served with homemade bread. for mains my wife had Involtino and I had Venison steak- a fillet best venison I have ever tasted. The chicken was also delicious all washed down with a super Primitivo - Service was great very friendly staff. Will be going again.

Lovely friendly atmosphere on a gorgeous location. Great service genuine Italian fare with good wine list. The Creme Brulee was totally fabulous. I highly recommend this establishment.

Maria is a great host - the wine and food where great and Maria made everyone laugh and feel welcome.

Me and my colleagues visited Gallini’s for meal out and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious, lovely atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. Would highly recommend a visit. Beautiful views of the marina too!

Having heard good things, thought I would try this local restaurant for a lunch time meal. Not impressed. A dry piece of Chicken in a tomato sauce with slightly undercooked potatoes does not make for a return visit. Poor value for money.

The food was very tasty and had plenty of flavour everybody was very well accommodated seating was good plenty of space not too tight with a beautiful views overlooking the marina stunning my wife loved the surprise birthday and her meal and everybody else also enjoyed their food we had a great time and were made to feel like one of the family when we got there great evening great setting lovely views fantastic food awesome host thank you Gallinis we will be back.

Just so happened to find this place and I’m so glad that we did! It’s one of the best Italians I have been too in a long time. The views are also stunning over looking the marina if you manage to get a seat by the window!! Staff can never do enough and are highly attentive. It takes a lot for me and my boyfriend to return to a place as we like to try new places but we will never stop coming here! Can not recommend enough

Don’t understand how this place gets great reviews .I would say the owner was very friendly and was the only positive but apart from that the food wasn’t great at all sorry

To celebrate our recent marriage we booked a family meal in Gallinis for 20 adults and children - and as far as we are concerned we could not have found ANYWHERE better to complete our celebrations! Everything from the helpfulness of the staff, the deliciousness of the food and the setting itself - we had tables right across the window - were just PERFECT! Everyone member of the party commented on how marvellous the meal was and how friendly and helpful the staff. MARIA has to be given particular praise as she decorated the tables beautifully and made everything look even better than I thought it would look! She is a treasure as she took all the worry and nerves away so that we could enjoy such a special occasion with our family. A huge thank you from us both to all involved - you certainly made the occasion enjoyable and memorable . So if anyone out there is looking for a venue for a celebration - you couldn't go wrong in booking Gallinis. Brilliant!

Gallinis Well me and fatatte Mark battled the wind and car parking situation (had to park the other side of the marina) I let the waitress pick my food calamari was the starters she picked for me and it was very nice crispy outside soft inside. lovely with garlic mayo.again I couldn't pick a main fish of the day which was cod and it was bought the morning from the local fish market which is open to general public. when the plate came I was shocked at the size of the fish considering it was the lunch menu. I couldn't find any faults in it the batter was so light and crispy, no sogginess with the fish skin crispy but flesh was white. chips soft and tasty, the side salad was good as usually greens are just dumped on the side, but this one was colourful and tasty.the service was really good. 5/5 one I will go back to

I've been to Gallini's several times, and will continue to go back. The staff are wonderfully friendly and accommodating and the food is fantastic. The lunch menu offers two courses for £9.95 which is outrageously cheap for generous portions. Can't recommend enough!

I visit here at least once a month. It is my go to for any special occasion. The food is amazing and the servers are always so polite.

Had a lovely meal at gallinis celebrating a friends birthday. First time I had been there, lovely food great service. Will definitely be visiting again!

First night in Swansea and it was raining. However, had a lovely evening with my husband at Gallini’s. Restaurant wasn’t full due to the weather. Food reasonably priced and the waiter was very attentive.

Pooped in on a Tuesday evening, very quiet as it was early. Good views over the harbor. Friendly and efficient staff, serving very much Italian style (go to Italy to find out). Food was excellent, cant fault it.

Food was so gonna, very traditional. Quite small so felt a little cramped. Sangria was fantastic 👌🏼 reasonable priced, will return!

Yet again all I can say is wow! Food was out of this world! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the owner is an absolute gentleman! Would do anything he could to accommodate you! Best restaurant in Swansea by far! Being half Italian this is the closest you would get to the taste of authentic Italian food! Will be back again soon and yet again highly recommend it! Perfect in every way. The place was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious. OK it is expensive at £70 for two, main course and pud with a glass of wine and two beers. You want to know more? Then you should, without hesitation go and enjoy a lovely meal. Such nice people made us feel so comfortable and helped us choose from the extensive, fresh menu. I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten...and I've had a few. The herby potatoes were gorgeous and tbe homemade onion rings were amazing (I usually hate them). The glass of wine delicious. I suppose if I was being picky the veg was a bit boring and the tiramisu wasn't tbe best. But we had a lovely night out and will be back without doubt again and again. Thankyou Gallinis, a really great meal, up there with one of the best and believe me I've eaten in most of the top London restaurants in over 36 years of dining out with clients.

Myself and my family often visit this great Italian restaurant, so as one of the organisers of the Swansea Women's Soiree I booked a table of 16 there last Thursday. Prior to the event the restaurant team were very helpful providing us with a two course set menu with lots of vegetarian options. We pre-ordered. On the night we were given a great welcome, the food and drinks were served in a timely and efficient manner. Food was totally delicious and all the ladies really enjoyed the evening. The venue overlooks the Marina which is another plus. Thank you all.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Swansea by far. I ate here on Thursday with a large group of friends. Beautiful location, quality food & fabulous service. Great fresh food cooked perfectly. Good value. Looking forward to going again. Highly recommend !!!!!!

Visited Gallinis on Tuesday 28th August. The waiter was great. He was so friendly, knowledgable and able and willing to give advice and opinions on all of the dishes we queried. The service was excellent. I had the sea bass (my favourite) and it was cooked to perfection. All four of us at the table were really happy with our meals. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

Gallini's is a very good Italian restaurant set overlooking the Marina in Swansea. Staff were very welcoming and a good menu selection is available.Undecided when considering choices of either chicken or duck dishes for the main course, our waiter advised having the chicken (with parma ham/blue cheese) which although the slightly cheaper option was the tastier dish. He was not wrong.Would have probably given an excellent rating if not for taking the 'homemade' bread and olive suggestion made prior to the arrival of our starter. The bread certainly didn't feel or taste homemade and the olives were probably some of the worse we have every tasted, probably straight out of a jar. Pity. Took the edge off an otherwise excellent meal.

I was looking for somewhere to take a fiend for there birthday. I read a review of another restaurant, which said it wasn’t a patch on Gallini’s on Swansea Marina. I’m so glad I did! Gallini’s is a fabulous find and I’m surprised it doesn’t rate more highly here?We booked for an early table on a Wed night. Parking could have been a problem, but we parked at the back, despite the dire warnings. The restaurant is above the coffee shop, overlooking the marina and we had a table in the window- box ticked!The furniture and layout is ‘no nonsense’, clean and functional, as was the menu. All prices were very reasonable.The waitress was pleasant, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The daily specials were mainly fish and I chose the bream, my companion the sea bass fillets. Due to my inability to eat garlic we amended chips for ‘herby potatoes’ - good choice!!My bream was the whole fish and cooked to perfection, as was my companion’s.The portions were generous and I followed it with an in-house Tiramsu, which was equally enjoyable!There were only three couples in the restaurant, which was great for us, but I felt for the staff, who excelled in my view!A great find, to which I shall return!!

Excellent menu with a large selection of starters and main dishes; I tend to avoid both pizza and pasta so this was good for me. Well presented tasty food supported by good service and an excellent choice of wine.

Ate here on a Monday, fairly quiet and lovely views over the marina. The food was amazing ! One of my sons had the shark steak for his main, very nicely cooked and seasoned, with lovely herb potatoes. My husband and I both had the lobster ravioli which was amazing, nicely seasoned and a generous portion. My younger son ate the duck, again cooked well. Good choice of wines and desserts all in a lovely setting. The food was fresh, well presented and tasted great. Lovely staff too. Definitely recommend this.

This is second time we visited, With the owner remembering us from our last visit which was over two years ago.The food served is excellent, fresh and tasty all at a very good price.This restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in the marina and the best Italian in Sawnsea.Try a get a table overlooking the marina it’s so picturesque.The owner is so friendly and made our granddaughter feel so special.Give it a try your won’t be disappointed.

We went for a friends catch up and this place was just exceeding every expectation. The set price lunch menu is so reasonable at £10 that probably should be £15. Fresh fish that was clearly just out of the sea and good accompaniments. Cannot wait to go back but I wholly recommend this superb value restaurant.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Traumhaft an der Marina gelegen. Das Essen, wir hatten Pasta und div. Vorspeisen, war super lecker und die Bedienung Maria ist ein Goldstück. Gerne wieder.

Visited here Saturday lunch time with friends for a birthday lunch. Food was delicious , two courses for £9.95 -fantastic value. The staff were friendly and we had a 1st class service. We provided a birthday cake which they brought out with plates and serviettes and even sang along with us. Have visited here several times over the past few months and each time have thoroughly enjoyed and have already booked to return.

We visited today and had the two course lunch menu .Excellent value just £9.95 ...My mackerel pate was outstanding ..as was my main course of chicken mushroom.s and spinach in creamy sauce ...Lovely friendly service and nice airy clean surroundings .Will definitely go back ..and would recommend ...

Visited here in a Sunday evening - a bit disappointing. They didn’t have 3 choices we asked for and got the feeling they had run out of food - my fish in a sauce was served with salad and one small dish of veg between the 3 other diners. Service was ok but the waiter kept telling us how busy He was when we asked for water. Overpriced for what it was - we booked this in advance so was disappointed when it appeared mediocre - prob wont visit again - food was not up to parr although may be different at other times

Outstanding food and service. Visited twice in one week. Sat outside the first time and inside the second and even though there was a large function on the service was not lacking in any way. We will definately be back there soon.

My daughter is half Italian and moved to Swansea a year ago leaving us for the first time. When ever she gets lonely or missing home she hits Gallini’s as the food is the closest to her mom and nonna’s. This is the second time we’ve visited on coming down to visit and I can see why she loves it here. The food is authentic Italian, none of this chain Italian food that is out there. Freshly cooked and how it would be served in any Italian home.We visited on a festival weekend and though very busy the service was spot on, drinks, aperitifs, starter main and dessert all served promptly but with enough time to let the last course go down.I can see why it reminds her of home. Go and try it for the best Italian in Swansea 5*

terrible service, but food is amazing. Just not worth the wait of an hour and a half. We were told the waiting time were 20-25 minutes, and when we got there the manager said 40 minutes, but we waited for 1 hour 30 minutes for all the food to arrive. Time to hire another chef maybe. But the food is good, no doubt.

We came to dine as 7pm as per our booking and were offered to choose our own table of what was available. We weren't asked our booking name which was strange but there you go.The restaurant is quirky, not too intimate but just right for what we wanted. The service is very good, and from ordering our drinks and food to the delivery of each course was perfectly timed. Sometimes service can make you feel a bit rushed to get you out of there but we didn't feel at all like that and felt we could have dined all night there.The food was extremely good although due to our personal taste some elements of our courses could have been improved. They were very minor preferences so we didn't feel it was necessary to bring it to the attention of the staff at the time.We have dined in La Memo in Neath previously which has more or less the same menu and we would definitely eat there again in either one again. Overall a very enjoyable experience in a lovely restaurant. We'll be back soon i'm sure :)

We were in Swansea marina on the weekend staying on are boat for the first time. I have lived in Swansea all my life and never been here before. In a word it was fantastic. The food was fabulous and Sal was a true gentleman and a brilliant waiter. I have a new number 2 restaurant in Swansea now. The Pantygwyde is my favourite and didn’t think La Brassiere would ever be knocked of spot 2 but it is now in 3rd behind Gallini’s.

Myself and wife decided to try Gallinis as had heard good reviews. We phoned at approximately 5 pm on a Saturday for that evening, we were told that there was plenty of room, this should have set alarm bells ringing. We were seated immediately and they took our orders. Starters, wife had bruschetta, there was no crispness to the bread due to it swimming in oil. The whitbait which I ordered was soggy and had no seasoning. Main course, wife ordered tagliatelle carbonara, which was advertised in a pancetta sauce, I ordered the venison with herby potatoes. The cabonnara did not have pancetta but large chunks of fatty gammon, neither did it have any salt, it was dry and had appeared to be sat on the pass for a consoderable amount of time. The venison and herby potato’s once again had no seasoning, the port sauce which the venison was served with was bitter, obviously not cooking the alcohol off. When I ordered the venison they didn’t ask how I’d like it cooked, although when it came, it was pink inside, which is how I would have ordered it. I thought there was hope, I was wrong. the meat was dry, and tasteless, Upon paying the server asked if all was ok, I said no, and explained my concerns, I asked if they had used pancetta or gammon in the cabonara, he admitted that it was gammon. He didn’t seem to care that I thought the meal was sub standard.Do not eat here under any circumstances, a tesco extra value meal would have more flavour and they would have seasoned the dish properly and not thrown the salt in from Port Talbot. Oh the garlic bread was ok, but I didn’t pay 60 pound for garlic bread.I’ve never written a review before but felt so strongly about the lack of the quality of the food I felt compelled to.

Judging by the other reviews here, it feels like I went to a different restaurant. I regularly eat out in Swansea but had never been to Gallini's before until recently. And I wish I hadn't bothered. The waiter was unfriendly and pushy (I don't think he smiled once) and the food was mediocre and overpriced: lobster ravioli (several raviolis with a tiny bit of filling in each - £15.95) and the affogato was basically just a coffee - there was less than a third of a small scoop of ice cream in the cup and for this they charged £4.95. This was the worst place I've been to locally in a long time. Its only saving grace is the nice view from the window over the marina.

Visited sat evening first time I’ve been and I wasn’t disappointed one of the best Italian meals I’ve had this is a little gem of a place the staff are very friendly and there’s no rushing as in some places you’ve all the time In the world to eat and have a social drink excellent on price with plenty of fish courses the home made ravioli is amazing

Visited with a group of 7 for a friend's birthday dinner. As I had already been twice fairly recently I was looking forward to returning and had made my choice in advance - spaghetti cabonara - it is a particularly good one here! We ordered various pasta and meat dishes and pizzas and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Desserts of crème brulee, ice cream and chocolate fudge cake were polished off quickly too! The service was great, very friendly and entertaining at times with one waiter breaking into song which we loved! Highly recommended.

I have never had a bad meal or bad service. Food it always crash and piping hot. Their home made soups are a must for any chilly day.

Possibly the best calamari, mussels , fish and pasta that we ever have. That’s Including many places in London ,, France , Italy etc on our travels

We've kept meaning to return here, having not been for several years. So glad we did.The waiter who greeted us was very pleasant, and fantastic with our 16 month old girl (who did get a bit excited at the sight of all the lovely food) The specials board sent to the table was a nice touch, easy to overlook the specials unless you go hunting for them in many restaurants. Well worth ordering off the special board here though as everything was great!My starter was gnocchi in a delicious creamy sauce with asparagus & mushrooms. The gnocchi texture was velvety, asparagus perfectly cooked and the dish seasoned nicely. For a main I loved the Spiedini Pesce. The fish was so beautifully cooked. Succulent & delicious. The house red was very pleasant too! Everything good Italian food should be - hearty, tasty & comforting.Thank you so much for a thoroughly pleasant meal. Definitely the best Italian/seafood restaurant in the area. We will be back!

Fantastic location in the marina with fantastic views. Service was outstanding and very welcoming atmosphere. We were a large group and every meal was delicious with no complaints. Hats off to the chef and waitress!!

As always a very warm welcome received in arrival. The party consisted of six adults and five children, age range 1-8. Food was superb and the variety to choose from was exceptional. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening which was complimented by first class service. If you want a special night out this restaurant should be on top of your list to visit.

We booked a family meal to celebrate Easter Sunday with a number of family members. We all had different starters, mains and desserts. they were all very good in a relaxed environment. I have been a few time and will definitely be going again.

Visited Gallini's today for lunch. After a very warm welcome, we were seated by the window and given a number of menus to choose from.We chose the 2 course lunch menu and weren't disappointed. Calamari, followed by smoked salmon pasta. It was WOW! My friends ordered different dishes, all of which were fantastic.A fabulous choice of restaurant, fantastic service and amazing food!We will be back!

What a night, we all enjoyed the buffet and a big big thank you to all the staff who made this so special for me.

Called in with my family on a cold winters day for some lunch in the coffee shop. Wonderful welcome from the staff who made us feel very welcome. Very good value lunch menu I had Lasagne and my daughter had Spaghetti Bolognese. Very tasty food and although it was midweek and almost 2pm nothing was too much trouble. Not been to the restaurant for many years but will definitely call in again.

On Wednesday 21st December I took my family (7 adults, three children and a baby to Gallini's restaurant for an early Christmas meal. The service was first class and the staff catered admirably for the children in particular. As usual the restaurant was immaculate and the choice of food magnificent - each individual made their choice of meal and starter and everyone in the party was totally smitten by the quality of the food received. The cost of the evening was not overly expensive considering the types of meal chosen and I would recommend a visit to anyone who likes good food at a reasonable price.. .

Great atmosphere! Fabulous food with friendly and helpful staff. The food served to all guests was fantastic, serving all dishes without stress or fuss, something previous restaurants have struggled with. We were so pleased that we have already booked for Christmas 2018.

Major thanks to Gallini’s for providing a great evening of food for our staff party. The hubbub and smiles showed what a brilliant time we all had. The food was outstanding and the staff did an amazing job of serving high quality food in a timely and professional manner. The service was friendly and very slick and the whole operation lends itself to a lovely atmosphere. Can’t wait to return and would recommend this place to all without hesitation.

Had a Christmas meal here on a staff night out, the food was fabulous,the service was good not bad value for a Christmas meal,. Drinks could have been a bit cheaper, but overall a lovely night out.

Visited the restaurant yesterday 9TH DECEMBER FOR my friends birthday there was 24 of us. The service was fantastic, the food was fantastic too what a welcoming place all staff where fab and friendly they couldn't do enough for us . Would highly recommend wonderful place . Thankyou for making our party so special.

Visited the Restraunt for the first time in 15 years for a catch up with some friends. I cannot praise the place enough. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Moving us to a bigger table without being asked as they thought we looked cramped, entertained us with some banter all through service.The menu had plenty of choice and the food was first rate i had a duck starter and rib eye for my main, steak was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Good wine menu reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

Stunning view of Swansea Marina authentically home made Italian food.there was delightful customer service and it was a pleasure to experience brilliant place to go about midday for a quiet and relaxing meal. i would recommend it to all my friends and family.the staff were friendly and very well trained. I can say nothing at all bad about my visit and i will be returning to Gallinis restaurant in the future.

I recently visited Gallini's twice for dinner and both occasions were very enjoyable. Service was good and efficient. The food was excellent - we had starters of garlic bread and mains of hake in lemon butter sauce and tagliatelle cabonara. For desserts we opted for chocolate ice cream, chocolate fudge cake and tiramisu, all were great. The menu is good and varied with both set menus and a la carte on offer. Looking forward to returning!

The restaurant is in a great location overlooking the marina, shame it was dark and raining by the time we got there. We were made to feel very welcome, great food selection and specials board too.

Visited there last nigh had the deep fried Brie to start which came with onion chutney and salad which was really tasty , I had the cod with leek and lava bread sauce with potatoes the fish was tasty lucky I ordered garlic bread to dip in the sauce lovely meal , my wife had the sea bass which was tasty and a large portion we both struggled to finish our meals think we will have to skip starters next time , looking around the restaurant a it looked like the lobster was very popular may try that next time

It was unfortunate that the evening we had dinner at Gallinis, the restaurant was almost empty resulting in an almost total absence of atmosphere. I can imagine a very different feeling when the place is full.The food was though was thoroughly enjoyable and the service was genuinely warm and efficient. The fish 'specials' were delicious and I look forward to giving Gallinis another try but next time at a weekend

A delicious meal spent with lovely friends. The choice of fish dishes on the menu for a non meat eater was great. Excellent service.

Took my boyfriend out for food and I chose this restaurant as we had never been before. The food was great, fresh, warm and a nice serving size... And the view was also Superb over looking the marina! I had the sea food linguine with was soooo good! To top this off, the service was outstanding, our waiter (who seemed like the owner) was very friendly and bubbly and couldn't do enough for everyone! We had a good chat with him and left a nice tip to say thank you! A lovely warm family atmosphere ..Would recommend :)

Wat a fantastic place. I highly recommend going here not just for the food but also the great hospitality you get they are so friendly and make sure you have everything you want they take the time out to come and chat to you.the food was first class hot tasty and plenty of it .I will be going here definitely again fantastic place overall

Went on a Saturday evening with family and friends for a celebration. Booked for 8.30 but didn't sit down until 8.45. Took over half an hour to get some drinks. Not enough staff and seemed rushed. We decided to forego starters as service was very slow. When we finally ordered we eventually got our food at about 10 pm. The linguine marinaras had a few mussels, 1 prawn and a poor sauce. The venison was over cooked, dry and inedible and sent back, the mussels was a tiny portion in what tasted like tomato soup and the lasagne was dry. The other meals were only just acceptable. The attitude of the staff was that they couldn't care. So in summary : poor quality food, poor service and a ruined party. Would not return even if it was offered free.

This was a very disappointing visit to Gallini's and far from the restaurant that once was. We arrived to find that our table was not ready and the evening was chaotic from start to finish. The table was booked for 8.30 and we finally ate at 10! We decided against ordering starters as the wait for our drink order was 30 minutes. The food was bland and the portions were small. Why book your restaurant out when you don't have adequate staff to run it. I certainly won't be returning.

Went here for my father-in-law's retirement meal as we have always heard people recommend this place.The restaurant is situated upstairs and is on the small side. There were ten of us in total and we booked for 8.30pm. We arrived to a very noisy and extremely busy restaurant, the staff were running around and looked very stressed! It was very warm in the restaurant, even though they had two ceiling fans on and a door open, it still felt quite uncomfortable. In short, the welcome and ambience of this restaurant was horrid.After sitting in this stifling heat, watching the stressed waiting staff floundering around the restaurant, we finally received our drinks order at 9.15pm!Once we had our drinks, the waiter then took our food order. We decided against ordering starters as we had gauged by now that we we were in for a long wait for our food! Our mains came at 10pm.My main meal was delicious, I had the tagliatelle Al pesto. It was extremely tasty and the pasta itself was lovely. However, some members of the group did not enjoy their meals-due to overcooked meat, small portions and missing ingredients (one prawn amongst mussels does not make a seafood pasta dish). Evidently, the kitchen was struggling to cope. It was clear the staff were working flat out and the kitchen was not coping with the large amount of orders-it was an extremely busy Saturday night with a few large groups and many couples. If there were more waiting and kitchen staff, I feel this whole debacle could have been avoided. A night of celebration, ruined.

I'm going to keep this as short and sweet as I can.Restaurant was busy, but staff seemed to be stressed and running around like headless chickens. The restaurant was very noisy, to the point where it was difficult to hear properly. Staff behind the bar had no qualms about dumping large amount of glass bottles at regular occasions creating significant noise.Arrived at 20:30 as a party of 10. Didn't receive drinks until 21:15. Food didn't arrive until 22:00. Only ordered mains as we knew if we ordered starters, we wouldn't be eating until midnight.Food was very poor quality, only 8 out of 10 actually enjoyed food. The cabonara was swimming in cream (pretty sure proper cabonara has egg yolk instead of cream). Lasagna was dry and inedible. Venison was dry and obviously not fresh (sent back). Marinara pasta consists of one prawn and a few mussels. Worst had to be the mussels main course. For £13 you literally only get 12 tiny mussels which is starter size and not main course.When staff were told of issues, they literally couldn't care less and said: 'we are just waiters and are not responsible for what comes out of kitchen'.It's a shame as always heard good things about Gallinis, however this experience means I will never go again no matter what. Avoid at all costs and save your money.

I don't know where to begin with this review because the whole evening was an absolute catalogue of disasters! Our table was booked for 10 people at 20:30 This was our first problem we were sent downstairs to wait whilst they got the table ready...we waited 15mins and we popped back upstairs only to see table still not laid up and the waitress thinking we were a party of 6 not 10.. eventually we sat down and 2 baskets of bread were thrown on the table...we then waited 20mins to order a drink I asked if we could order our food because we had a 12yr old with us who was starving, the waiter said he would have to check with the kitchen if we could order our food!!!! As a party we decided to forego starters and after 45mins were 'allowed' to order our mains. 2 of us ordered linguine marinara which consisted of a bowl full of linguine 6 mussels on top and one shell on prawn with a blob of tomato paste, 1 of our party loves mussels and when his dish came it beggared belief...he had a desert type bowl with approx 10 mussels in..the mussels were the size of cockles. The venison which was ordered had to be sent back because it was like a small ball of dry leather. After complaining the venison was taken off the bill and they charged for a starter portion of mussels but the money wasn't an issue..they had totally ruined a very one off special occasion and even though I was in tears they didn't seem to give a damn..i would avoid this place and I will ensure all my friends and family know about the poor service and quality of food here!

Took 30 minutes to take our order. Wasn't great deal of choice. No sides with kids meal or drink included like you would get elsewhere. Food wasn't great for price either. Pretty disappointed.

Visited Saturday night with friends celebrating 40th wedding anniversary.Hidden away in the marina this restaurant is Swansea's best kept secret.Made very welcome by the proprietor who we learned was originally from Naples so a true Italian specialising in Fish.As well as the A La Carte menu had a surprisingly large specials board so you were spoiled for choice with something for everyone without breaking the bank.The staff were attentive and friendly and provided Lemonchello's at the end of the meal which was greatly appreciated.If you live in Swansea or just visiting the area make sure you get at least one meal here.Good night out with great prices..

My wife and I had a great meal here. Staff were very welcoming from the minute we stepped through door. Very authentic Italian meals. Very well presented and full of flavour. Best Italian we have tasted in past few years. Will definitely be dining there again.

Three of us went out for dinner, we ordered starters mains and wine, starters were ok if your a on a diet, they came with 4 pieces of food on the plate, ie ordered calamari, 4 small pieces not presented very well, i ordered chicken stuffed with cheese when it arrived the cheese was in a liquid form on the plate, no cheese inside the chicken, i explained that stuffed should mean the cheese in inside the chicken but the owner did not agree, it was replaced with another chicken this time with added cheese and skewers to keep the cheese in, "this did not work" overall experience was average for a fairly expensive meal, service was ok nothing special, decor was ok, ambiance was below average. would i go back, probably not.

Este lugar fue reservado para celebrar la graduación de mi hija. . tenía buenas críticas y estaba cerca de donde estábamos. Reservamos 8. 30:00 y llegamos a las 8. 25:00 h. . . Nos sentamos inmediatamente pero esperamos alrededor de una hora y media para dar a nuestra orden. El servicio de comida era excepcionalmente lento. . . . El lugar no era siquiera la mitad. Los camareros eran buenas. La cocina parecía incapaz de enfrentar. Esto arruinó nuestra noche de verdad. Cuando llegó la comida estaba bien. No es fabuloso. La caballa ahumada paté era delgada y bastante poco apetecible. El besugo no estaba mal pero las verduras estaban frías. Los precios eran promedio para una cena en un lugar decente, pero no relación calidad-precio. . Uno de las pocas veces que me han dejado un lugar y no dejé propina. Finalmente nos surgió de aquí a 10. 45:00 h. . Muy lento, muy insatisfactorio: no nos volveremos aquí de nuevo.
