This place is an absolute gem. Me and my girlfriend were visiting Philly for a day trip and we found this place and it did not disappoint! We’re looking forward to dining here on our next trip to Philadelphia.

Friendly atmosphere, great food and wonderful drinks. The brisket burger is my absolute favorite, I order it every time.

I'm from NYC - so the relative SPACIOUSNESS - of this place was so sweet for us. Waitress - On Point. Quiet enough to actually talk without raising my voice. Food- so good! My companion had some type of shrimp scampi? It was so delicious/she was soooo delighted. I am a vegetarian and gluten-free. There were wonderful options - I had the most delicious mac & cheese I ever ate ever + roasted cali ... Again - I'm from NYC so the price of the food was Stunningly reasonable! If I lived in the 'hood I'd be there every week.

I was really hoping for a better dining experience based on recent reviews, but maybe it was just an “off” night for the kitchen staff. We ordered the Spinach & Artichoke dip, Apple and Cranberry with Chicken salad, and the fried mozzarella. The spinach and artichoke dip was very underwhelming, while the fried mozzarella was flavorless aside from the breading. The salad was probably the only saving grace but it’s not hard to get a salad “right”. (Have to pay extra for feta cheese and chicken which is wild.) We also ordered a skinny margarita, and a couple specialty cocktails that weren’t too shabby but the price point was just far too high for what we got…. $110 out the door for a mediocre experience.

Delightful. The atmosphere is welcoming and aesthetically pleasing; the staff is helpful and friendly; and the food was terrific. I thoroughly enjoyed the kale salad with a crabcake, while my dining companion’s gravlax plate was superb. Can’t wait to come back.

Went with a friend for lunch because they have vegetarian options. The patio is beautiful. The service was decent, though there were some waits to be seated and to settle the check that seemed disproportionate to the number of guests. The crab cake sandwich was phenomenal, as was the strawberry lemonade. Will go back soon, I hope.

I had a business meeting there and was surprised how good the food was. My associates burger was cooked perfectly, and my quinoa salad was delicious. Parking, though, was not easy to find, but it was certainly worth the walk

What an amazing place! We were in the area overnight and happened upon this cafe. Food was beyond amazing! Atmosphere was so pleasant! Decor was great! Staff friendly, kind and accommodating. Ten stars from me!!!

Finally made my way here on a rainy weekday afternoon. The burger was a bit undercooked but still very flavorful and delicious. The side french onion soup was the best I’ve had in a while (and such a STEAL as an add-on to a sandwich). My server Corinne was kind and attentive. I’ve already recommended this place to some friends!

Came here in a rush and needed breakfast and something to drink before work, I was astounded by their take on a breakfast burrito, while unconventional, it was absolutely amazing. Also tried one of their juices and highly recommend. Our server was able to bring everything incredibly swiftly, the wait was so short and our server was really attentive. Beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant as well, I highly recommend you check this place out!

The food was PHENOMENAL! With quite a few delicious vegan/vegetarian options. The service, however; is enough to make me not want to go back. Our server was not attentive, she needed to be called twice to come to our table. When she got there, she seemed rushed but not with her other tables. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant but it took about 20 minutes for our desserts to come out!

French Onion soup was phenom. So was the Brunch Focaccia. Great place to get brunch any day of the week.

I had been dying to go to Front Street Cafe forever and when I found out all-you-can-eat pasta on Wednesdays now I really had to go. Your girl was super excited to go. So I went with a group of friends and I did not feel welcome as we waited to be seated. The host didn't even bother greeting us. We got seated and waited about 15 minutes to just get served water then another 15 of wait to start our orders. When the server came to serve us our food that was when I started to feel more negative energy, this is what she said quote on quote "I don't have time for this you guys can figure it out" As she was serving us and left the our plates on the table. It was onlt 4 of us. She didn't have the patience to give each of us our dish. I get it she had a large group to take care of but she didn't have to be that rude to us. Overall the food was good especially their desserts were the best but the service was terrible. I had high hopes for them especially when I invited my friends to come along but this incident was just unacceptable.

This is a good restaurant except for the hostess. They are supposed to be that face of the restaurant BUT they are rude, and bad manners. If you arrive near to 3 pm the menu is short. The food is good and the waiter service is kind we order hamburger, quinoa salad fries, cauliflower they are amazing but we order the soups, they are oki but not good

Great flavor favorable sized portions

The food was very delicious and the selections on the menu were vast. Flavors and presentation were all very on point. I do wish that the brunch menu had more meaty dishes or at least had them in the entrees. There is also a 2% fee added to the check for the staff and 20% gratuity for tables with more than 6 people. However, the lack of attention we got from our server didn’t seem warranted for the 22% charge.

Came for the Wednesday pasta. Have to say food was a big let down for the price. Focaccia was very underproved, not worth serving. Salads were fine. Pastas were mostly flat. Had gluten free rotini that was barely cooked, some was al dente some was just raw. If I didn’t spend $100 on pasta and a glass of wine for 2 people, I’d be more forgiving, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe brunch is the better move here.

I was disappointed that the wait was so long. You literally need a reservation. For the amount of money I paid it wasn't worth the hassle.

Great for both breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plenty of vegan options on the menu and many dishes that can be made vegan. The portions, including the coffee, are generous and hearty. The vegan French onion soup is a stand out for me — tastes and feels like the real thing. The cafe has a lot of space, but still feels very cozy. They also have a large outdoor patio in the back. Service was quick and friendly.

Front Street Café was incredible. We had no issues walking in and getting a table right away. Service was quick as it was friendly. We ordered the smothered burrito and a plate of vegan eggs Benedict. It was incredible. I cannot wait to go back.

Came during dinner. The atmosphere is very good. I ordered hot tea, brownie and sweet potatoes. Regular tea. Brownie is too sweet. Impossible to eat. Sweet potatoes taste like grass...

Service was fast, especially being a large party of 8 or more people. Drinks were strong & the food flowed very well. The half chicken was so tender, beautifully seasoned, and the mash potatoes were creamy. Would recommend & visit again.

Honestly I’m sad I was not happy with this place. The food is very over priced and not kid friendly at all, They do not have kids meals. Which is very sad in my opinion I literally paid $16 for two plain pancakes for my two year old which was insane! The breakfast menu has only like 10 options. I wanted to love this place so bad. Don’t waste your time. I’ll go to ihop before I ever go back here.

No. Expensive Applebees with tons of silly fake cheese options, weak drinks and pissy staff. If you want buyers remorse come here I look forward to this place turning over into something new 🤞🏼 (2 stars for curb appeal tho)

Front Street Cafe is a wonderful spot all day. One of the best things is that there vegetarian and vegan options are amazing, so it is a great place to feed every eater.

Didn’t even got a chance to eat. Hostess was suck! They sat us down outdoor but in a table that was very sunny that its blinding our eyes. Took 10 minutes until server approached us, we asked to moved table she told us to talk to the hostess. We talked to the hostess they told us to talk to the server! Then they told us they gonna bring an umbrella??? But we waited again and they never did. There was plenty of big tables that they can just move us there but they just didn’t want to improvise. Didn’t even try to approach us. We left without got a chance to order. Worst experience.

I've enjoyed this place in my few visits - the food and drink are solid, and I've had great luck with bartenders who are willing to give a suggestions, make something custom, or have a chat. If you get Evelyn for your bartender, you've had great luck - she's fantastic.

Nice place for brunch around fish town. Their outdoor seating is great and service is phenomenal. The parking is an issue but street parking is available around the restaurant.

The $3 tacos on Thursdays are so delicious, very juicy and flavorful!

The atmosphere and the food here are not in alignment. While walking by, my partner and I decided to stop in versus another place for brunch. The place looks very nice and the Reanimator coffee they serve with optional housemade syrup is very good. The food was another story. Although my partner enjoyed his food a bit more, I found nothing I ordered to be good. I ordered their ricotta pancakes, which were not true ricotta pancakes. Instead of the ricotta being mixed into the batter to create a tender texture and exceptional flavor, they merely poured an overly sweet ricotta glaze over the pancakes. The pancakes themselves tasted like they were made from a cheap box mix. And the syrup they gave me was "pancake syrup" instead of maple syrup. To my surprise, the side of eggs I ordered (which were actually decent) came to a whopping total of $7.50 simply because I added cheddar. $7.50 for two eggs with cheese. I could have bought an entire dozen eggs for that price. Lastly, I ordered their mushroom lentil scrapple and mushroom bacon sides because I love good vegan/vegetarian foods and I wanted to give these uncommon menu items a try. The mushroom lentil scrapple was underseasoned and on the bland side. The mushroom bacon was just a handful of mushrooms that were deep fried with no seasoning or bacon marinade (usually a combo of soy sauce, liquid smoke, smoked paprika, garlic & onion powder, black pepper, and a little maple syrup). You know...for actual bacon-style flavor. The plain deep fried mushrooms were like eating super thin unsalted potato fries, only made of mushroom. And just the fact that they chose to fry them over marinating and baking them until crisp (as is custom) was strange and off-putting. They were not good. And with all of this, the prices did not even come close to matching the quality. Huge disappointment given the aesthetics of the place and our desire to eat a tasty meal. We won't be back. There is a lot of good food in Fishtown. This isn't one of those places. The people here are unfortunately serving incredibly mediocre food for a premium price.

Great setting but service was very poor and food was lackluster. Never got checked up on once after orders were taken and certain food orders were missing components listed on the menu.

This place is just amazing. Always. We started with the Buffalo cauliflower. Highly recommend. Wasn’t breaded to all hell, in fact, I’m not sure there was any breading on it. It was seasoned nicely and very delicious. Bloody’s we’re on point too. I opted for the brunch wings. (Advertised as dry rub). My partner and their mother got breakfasts- 1 vegan, 1 non-vegan. Both looked, smelled, and tasted so good. Again, everything seasoned nicely. My wings actually had a wet sauce on them, but they were delicious, nonetheless. Always a winner when we are in the area. Thank you for always being so consistently good and with great vegan options.

FSC has been one of my favorite spots for years now. The food and service are always great. I especially enjoy their ACYE pasta nights. Their buffalo cauliflower is my favorite appetizer. It's perfect each time.

Front Street Cafe has a nice outdoor seating area. Our server was friendly. The pressed juices and mimosas were good. And the roasted potatoes were the best thing on the table! Food wise. Other than that, that’s about it. Had a little bit of high expectations for this place. However, I wasn’t a fan of the rest of the food, unfortunately. Probably won't be back.

Honestly really enjoy the food and the breakfast burrito is one of the best in the city. However, I ordered two $17 burritos and added avocado and subbed bacon. Cost $55 to pick up. They added 1/8 of an avocado and probably 1-2 slices of bacon in the whole burrito (no chorizo) I was in shock. $10 extra each for almost nothing. Good experiences sullied by unreasonable pricing. They should at least communicate that these additions are a completely unreasonable additional cost when ordering. Breakfast burrito was also significantly smaller than when I ordered it before in person to top all of this off.

Excellent chai latte and soy latte - you can grab coffee here to go. I was unable to get a seat for the sit down brunch, but it was sure packed. The portions are massive based on looking at the plates coming out. Great vibes here, excellent breakfast choices, and alcohol.

The place had lots of seating very big tables. Glass in-between them. Plenty of room to sit and move around . Lots of waiters no line at the door. Great environment nice views as the walls looked like brick smashing threw . The ceiling where high there looked like they had a very large outdoor seating area. The food was great the drinks were also great. Clean stools clean table clean floor clean bar. Awesome experience for me.

I went with a group of friends on a Friday evening and we were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted a table or the bar. We decided to sit at the bar! Upon sitting down we were given waters almost immediately and asked if we needed anything else. Everyone working there was full of smiles and genuinely seemed happy to be there. We got the pretzel pull apart to share which was amazing and we all got our own entrees, which was equally amazing. The vibe is relaxed and fun. Would recommend!

After many years and many meals, Front Street Cafe is still my happy place. An amazing menu that offers lots of tasty food and drink you can feel good about (including ample vegan options), a pleasant staff and a beautiful, clean, warm space to enjoy. Consistently awesome!!

Very busy and lively, reservations are a must if you want to be seated sometime this century, sat at the bar because we didn't have any and the wait was at leadt an hour. Food is very good, Drinks are awesome. Meat, vegan and vegetarian options. My companion had the Red velvet pancakes a cotrtado and a Manhatten and I had the Front Street platter with the mushroom scrapple (which I found delightful and unexpected) along with an Irish coffee and finished meal off with a ginger turmeric chai tea with oatmilk ( delicious!) Waitstaff was helpful and friendly.

Today was my first time eating at Front Street. Great ambiance and good vegan food options. They automatically added 20% tip to the bill which I normally would add for great service. While the service was just OK, the tofu scramble was cold and tasteless. Id like to see more effort there. All other food items were really good. Overall a good experience

The service was friendly but non-existent. We were spoken to *maybe* three times in our nearly 2 hour stay and were not even asked if we would like a second drink. The service was very slow and when our food arrived it was cold. This is not the first time my food has arrived to the table cold from Front Street. In addition to the food being cold, it lacked flavor. They do offer numerous vegan/vegetarian options but they are not done well. I cannot recommend Front Street for dinner. It is also frustrating that the gratuity is included when the service and experience is subpar at best. If you still feel inclined to visit, I suggest trying their breakfast/brunch!

20% gratuity for my waitress to disappear 25 minutes as my date and I sat with empty drinks. Food is decent but overall is overpriced as well.

The food was good yet interesting. I just wish the waitress was more friendly and would have explained some of the unique quirks about some of the food. When I had brought it to the waiters attention that the Caesar salad dressing was purple, it tasted like olives, and it had no croutons she just shrugged me off and said “well that’s our Caesar salad”. I just wish that it was mentioned somewhere on the menu or by the waiter that the Caesar salad dressing was going to be purple with an olive taste and not similar to every other Caesar salad.

5 stars! (But the vegan hollandaise sauce was awful.) Everything else was superb. Great menu, great service. It's a big place yet it feels comfortable and cozy. I'll go back next time I'm in Philly.
