Excellent food , excellent service, couldn't fault this place. Great value for money, best food in Stirling! Home made soup, Spanish stew all cooked to perfection.

After a long absence , we visited tonight. As usual we were not disappointed. Ordered from the "specials " menu. Crispy sea bream and duck breast. Both were delicious. Very friendly waitress and chef.

A rustic diner with superb food. My wife had the aromatic Thai meatballs (vegan) I had the chorizo and red pepper sausages and mash. The gravy with this dish is fantastic, I'd return just for the gravy.

We couldn't believe the high standard of food we received today. The staff were attentive and kind and were always present when needed. We arrived, and it was quiet, but it got busy very quickly. The chef didn't miss a beat. She took everything in her stride and produced some of the best food I've had. We visited on 9th March.

We just had coffee and cake but all the food looked good. Big mugs and the gluten free lemon cake was gorgeous! Very helpful and friendly service.

We were so happy to stumble across Gabe’s on a cold, wet Sunday night. Our heating had broken down and we just wanted to be warm while we ate. With its cozy log burner, Gabe’s was the perfect place to dine. The food was very tasty and the service was really good. It was a pull, having to force ourselves back out of there, back to our cold house. Thank you for the sanctuary Team Gabe’s - we will be back.

We love this place! Not your standard big commercial diner…if you are looking for Nando’s just keep walking! Small, cozy with a woodburning stove. The food is amazing and cooked to order. Burgers are my husbands and son’s favourite but for me it’s the sliced steak in a creamy mushroom, garlic and tarragon sauce on a toasted ciabatta…tonight I went for the vegetarian option of the same dish with halloumi and sweet potato…out of this world, a new firm favourite 10/10. The banana fritters were also a hit…no soggy fritters in sight, homemade caramel sauce and the saltiness of popcorn is a nice added twist…again 10/10. So goood! We will be back!

We've been twice now for dinner and it's our favourite place in Stirling. Great portions, selection is good and the puddings great. We will BYOB next time or go for breakfast to try something new. Big log fire, fast and great service but the food is where it's at

Gabe's was such a nice find. Excellent food, nice atmosphere and everyone so friendly. Will definitely be back next time we are in Sterling.

Immediately greeted by a very rude woman who I assume was the chef. Attitude was shocking from the minute we walked in the door. We sat down and had a look at the menu and the prices were extortionate so we got up and left. £2.50 for a can of irn bru. We are not from around this area and we shall not be visiting again any time soon and we recommend to others to avoid this place. As we were leaving we were met with another cheeky comment which put the nail in the coffin for us.

A great little diner, worth seeking out for their varies menu of home cooked food, prepared while you wait by a cozy wood stove. Very good prices and great quality. I enjoyed apple and cinnamon pancakes and my wife had mac and cheese, the best she's ever had.

I went for the braised steak sandwich, and while the combination of sweet fried onions, creamy mushrooms, and tender, juicy steak was spot on, the ciabatta was sadly soggy from all the sauce. I yearned for a crispy crunch with each bite. 🥪🤔 On the bright side, the sandwich was meatier than a Highland cow, and the service was as warm and welcoming as a cozy fireplace on a cold Scottish night. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️ The only hiccup was the price, which felt a wee bit steeper than some other bistro options in the area. 💷💼 Now, for dessert, I indulged in a heavenly slice of pumpkin pie adorned with toasted almonds, an orange caramel drizzle, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was like a sweet symphony for the taste buds, a delightful ending to the meal. 🥧🍨 In all, a lovely bistro experience, despite the minor ciabatta hiccup. If you're not penny-pinching, the dessert alone is worth the visit. 👌

My nephew and me were staying at the Premier Inn just along the road from Gabe’s and popped in there on Sunday night. It’s quite a quirky, cosy place and the food is excellent. My nephew, who is a burger connoisseur, was spoiled for choice. He went for the beef and said it was very good. I had the Fantastic Steak Sandwich and it lived up to its name. We had a cake each with our coffees and they were both lovely too. Will definitely be back again.

Stopped in while car was charging and couldn’t have been happier. Staff was great, and the food was better! Chorizo bangers and mash with super creamy potatoes. Topped with the sausage, onions and gravy was outstanding. The Thai steak sandwich had a great flavor and came with crispy chips and was also excellent. Finished off the meal with a piece of carrot cake, which was moist and also had great flavor. Plenty of parking as it sits in a parking lot, inside all those small with the fireplace was very cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend.

Warm and cozy bistro. Excellent food. might not be the most traditional bangers and mash but flavours blend well. Creamy mash. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. Food is always outstanding, nice atmosphere too. Staff often run off their feet but always give service with a smile! Particularly recommend the Thai beef sandwich, and the chips are brilliant!

Decided to go in as the diner is directly behind the EV charge points and was greeted with friendly staff, cute small diner ordered the breakfast tortilla with cheese (extra cost) and a latte. Bothe the coffee and the food was amazing! I asked twice for the recipe for the tortilla haha it was really that good.

My husband and I visited from Canada and stopped in with my sister for a late breakfast/lunch. Had a great meal - french toast was awesome. Our server was from Canada too and provided excellent service and tips and tricks for getting coffee in and around Scotland.

The staff are excellent and the fish and chips were amazing the mushy peas were excellent and was made with garden peas will definitely go back there. Again

*HOME DELIVERY* Long dark hair was found in the breakfast box and after calling the restaurant to make them aware, no apology was given and I was told they were busy managing a full restaurant of customers. Assured they had a health and hygiene visit this week which I completely understand as I’ve dined in the restaurant many times and the food quality is exceptional, I was just left a bit baffled when obviously I was unhappy with a long dark hair in my breakfast box and the lady I spoke to the phone was very dismissive when I tried to raise my concern. (Not for any money back but just to make them aware their chief should probably be wearing a hair net whilst in the kitchen) Anyway, needless to say we will not be ordering from Gabe’s dinner ever again, not because of the hair found in our food but because of the passive aggressive attitude of the staff/manger. Such a shame that customer service has let this small business down, from one small business owner to another. People buy into people and I was appalled with the way I was spoken to on the phone just now.

I dropped by for a quick coffee and a slice of cake, and I was positively impressed by the staff: they were nice, very professional and extremely personable. The coffee was good, and the cake was excellent. A nice place to spend some time with some good grub, alone or in a group.

The people are great, the food is great, they're so nice to our dogs when we visit this place, honestly they're lovely. Everything I've ordered has been delicious, including their breakfasts, pancakes, and braised steak.

The food here is amazing! I have coeliac and they have the best gluten free pancakes. The rest of this review comes from one I wrote for a gluten free app so it'll be a little specific. Gabe's Diner Bistro has an excellent variety of gluten free options despite the place's small size. While the items are listed as NGCI (no gluten containing ingredients) for legal reasons, when I ordered the server asked me if I had coeliac or an intolerance and assured me that regardless they take it very seriously and are extra careful. I am coeliac and the meal was delicious. I've been a couple times and I always get the gluten free pancakes because they're just so delicious! Lightly crisp on the outside and deeply fluffy on the inside, they are incredible perfection. I think the salted caramel and creme fraiche is my favourite pancake concoction of theirs. They also have other gluten free options like fish and chips and sandwiches and I always forget what else because I just home in on those pancakes. Also the coffee is really good. Had the richest, most luxurious mocha on my latest visit. To die for. To die for. Plus a good value for the money! One of the lowest cost restaurants you'll find in the area and the best.

Good service and good cooking. Proper burger with chilli and onion jam and hand cut chips. Sweet and sour meatballs with rice noodles in a broth. This is food done differently in Stirling at decent prices guaranteed not to break the bank. Go, you will not be disappointed. Remember to rajevyoyr own wine and/or beer as there is no licence.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Small but good atmosphere. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Went with a six and three year old. They know what is helpful for children - smaller cutlery, serve children's food quickly, smaller straws (long straws in small cups never work!). Small but varied menu. Food freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Lots of parking but also easy, quick walk from city centre. Good value for money. If tipping, can't add on to bill at till so cash needed. First time in a long time that I've felt staff REALLY deserve tip!

Had breakfast here on Saturday and it was grand. I had the cooked breakfast and the other half had the French toast, both were tasty. The coffee was pretty good too!

Recently visited Gabe’s for an evening meal with my partner. The restaurant has a very cosy feel and we had a lovely relaxed time here. We thoroughly enjoyed our food (I must highlight the vegan pancakes which were amazing 😄) and could tell it was prepared with high quality, fresh ingredients. Service was great, very friendly and welcoming. Could not recommend high enough.

Fresh, tasty food with good choice on the menu. Fast service. Reasonably priced for decent portion sizes. However, the menu could do with changing more often and you do leave the restaurant smelling like cooking - not sure if there is a fix for this given the building design though. Just something to be wary of.

One of the best lunches we’ve had in a long time. The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Will most definitely be back soon. Went for a relaxed evening meal and left with a full belly and a smile. Gabe is a charming Bistro located just outside of Stirling City center and every part of it was welcoming. The atmoshere, the music, the decor had a feeling of beng invited into somewhere for a relaxed time. The service was attentive and magic :D though did not intrude on our night. And the food. Whilst I loved my main. Part of me wants to go back and work my way through the desserts. Be it breakfast, lunch dinner or coffee. I don't feel like you could have a disappointing meal. Went during our trip to Scotland with the family, including our 16 month old daughter. We were treated like royalty! The food was exactly what we wanted; good portions, great presentation, and the taste... delicious across the board! We all ate until we were full, then kept going. Our server, Emma, was great! Loved her every turn of phrase, and she made our daughter smile. 10/10, would go again.

We visited an hour before closing. Both of us very hungry. Didn't look too promising at first. He got fish and thick chips, I got the french toast with bacon and maple syrup and some thick chips to try. We were both pleasantly surprised. Delicious! Our best meal since arriving in Scotland over a week ago. The French toast was SO GOOD. Chips crispy and nice crunchy coating on the fish. Service was friendly and quick as well. We will be back for sure!

My husband and I ate a very delicious breakfast here. The scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy. This meal was, by far, our favorite meal while we visited Stirling. The service was top-notch.

Well it sounds delicious… Fully Loaded Deli Sandwiches These are proper, filling, fully loaded Deli sandwiches. Served on toasted sour dough bread, spread with creamy mayo, and finished with a fresh herb salad. chargrilled Chicken & Pesto: Marinated chargrilled chicken, swiss cheese and our tasty almond, mint & basil pesto. Finished with fresh mint and basil. The reality was vey different… two tiny pieces of stale tiger bread, four tiny pieces of chicken, plastic processed cheese slices and a mountain of lettuce. Absolutely nothing like it’s description. Disgusting and won’t be back.

Fantastic menu choices for all palates & diets. Such wonderful, tasty food, old familiars with a twist. It was the menu which stood out from other such places in Stirling that attracted us to try Gabe’s & the menu & delicious food which brought us back the next day before travelling back to England. Highly recommend the pea risotto, vegetarian steak sandwich (creamy sauce to die for), Thai vegetable stew, vegan sausage & mash, & the meatballs - a clever substitution for a reduced number of sausages. Staff were friendly, & the service was excellent. So sorry I don’t know her name but the young woman (with short hair) who served us on Saturday 18/03 was wonderful.

Gabes always gets it right on flavour and quality, I visit quite often and have never been disappointed. I like the fact that you can see the kitchen and see the food being freshly prepared but they are not loud so you don't get the feeling that you are in the kitchen itself. One request - you've smashed the vegan and the vegetarian, how's about having a go at a dessert that diabetics can enjoy pleeeeeeeeeeeease - I miss my puddings so much

First time visiting Gabes and definitely won't be the last. We felt very welcome as soon as we walked in. Service was first class. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Menu had an amazing choice. Our server was lovely.

The smell of the log fire caught my attention, and we followed it. The staff are awesome! My dog was made welcome and was brought a fresh bowl of water. The food was delicious! The coffee was really creamy. I ordered three for myself, two while eating and one for the road. I was visiting the area from Livingston, but I'll definitely come visit again, and if I know anyone who's going to Sterling I will highly recommend this place. The music volume was just right, and the ambiance was cosy. Thank you for a very pleasant experience. My son and his partner also thoroughly enjoyed their order from the menu, which has an impressive varied selection, all of which sounds tasty! 10/10

Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, imaginative menu, very tasty food and reasonable prices. It might not look great from outside but if you want really good food this is a place to find it.

Excellent home cooked food and coffee. Popular in the evenings so book ahead. My only gripe is the kitchen needs a proper ventilation system. Your clothes will stink of fried food by the time you get home.

The Fantastic braised beef was out of this world, literally melted in your mouth. Food was outstanding. Service was a bit poor than expected, first lady we felt was rushing us to order as 3 other tables were booked in. The younger lady in the hoody had very large false nails on. As a food business owner myself, I know that false nails are a no no and she had one missing, prayed it wasn't in my dinner. Owners were lovely and very welcoming. They don't serve alcohol but have a small fee for corkage which I think is a nice touch.

Excellent food and service. If you want take away burgers too - forget McDonald’s and buy from this local gem. The burgers are amazing. The chunky chips were cooked to perfection. And they deliver too! Awesome.

It’s nicer than it looks from outside and the food is okay. The main negative is the extraction system doesn’t seem to work so the kitchen smell fills the restaurant.

We came to have brunch and were delighted with the veggie and gluten free options, we had 2x coeliacs with us which can be tricky but there was so much choice!
