Fusion Takeaway in Eilean Siar

Wow! Nom nom nom. I've had a fair few Chinese takeaways in my time but this is one of the best. It's delicious and the produce tastes so fresh. It's reasonably priced, collection only but worth it for delicious food.

House special duck and chicken and cashews with rice and hot and sour soup dishes where amazingly tasty and generously portioned 😋😋😋😋😋

Worst Chinese I have ever been to. Special FRIED rice was nothing of the sort. Boiled rice with boiled meat, vegetables and sauce. Big disappointment when you want fried rice and it comes as a sloppy meal.

Tasteless. No smiles. Won't use again.

Order spare ribs, spring rolls, Singapore noodles , special fried rice and beef in Blackbean sauce. Spare ribs and spring rolls were OK Singapore noodles no where near what they should have been . Didn't have the correct noodles. More like chow mein. Don't understand how they just can't get it right. Special fried rice with oyster sauce. Sauce, meat and veg etc was poured over the rice. Rice should have been on tip. Result soggy rice. Blackbean sauce was thin. I guess if your a local you know whats good to order. If your a tourist its a lucky guess to get a decent meal

The food was ok but not what we expected far to much sauce we had chicken Peking style it was more like sweet and sour sause

My wife and I grabbed a takeaway here on a motorcycle trip. The quality really is outstanding.

I've had worse Chinese food than this, in both quality and value, but not often. I would have given 2 stars but for the cheerful girl who took my order. On the plus side the crispy beef in Peking sauce was crispy and the sauce tangy as expected. But that is the last positive comment. The rice in the Young Chow fried rice was overcooked making it sticky and there was no char siu pork in it, or peas, or spring onion and the chunks of rather dry chicken made me wonder if I'd been given chicken fried rice instead. However it was edible and there was plenty of it. The egg fried rice my wife had was overcooked too. The fried mixed vegetables came in an unexpected sauce/gravy rather than the advertised just fried mixed vegetables as we were expecting, again, edible. Now the biggest gripe, and the reason I'm bothering to give this review; the "spring rolls" were a joke. I expected a large pancake roll, full of bean sprouts, shrimp, chicken, char siu pork, peas, shredded cabbage....instead I got a 3" long parcel of crispy batter, about 2" diameter, containing, well, not a lot! Whatever it was was yellow and had a mild curry flavour, unlike any pancake roll I've ever tasted in 60+ years....and at £2.60 this has to be the worst value take-away food I've ever had the misfortune to spend good money on. Fusion? For your benefit, you need to make improvements and only reading really good reviews in the future would ever tempt us back again....but never for your spring rolls which really must be your biggest profit maker!

Had a meal from there which was delicious especially the King prawn chow mein big portion and loads of king prawns in there, the lady at the counter was very polite too

Put an order in for 3 items chips chicken balls with curry sauce and spring rolls. Paid cash. Got home and no spring rolls. What a let down.

Soup wasnt nice at all had the texture and consistancy of was tinned spaggetti in tomato sauce. The fried rice was bland. The curry sauce in the chicken curry we ordered was so runny that half of it spilled out the container taking it in the car to our accomadation. The chicken curry also had carrots and peas in it and other unidentifible veg.

Good spring rolls. Decent king prawns with tails. BBQ sauce with ribs tasty. Friendly staff. Inexpensive. But cash only. And sweet and sour sauce was only 50% of that. Slightly odd GI spike aftertaste. Probably the best Chinese/Malaysian fusion takeaway in Stornoway.

Not too bad food, simple chinese

Food was excellent but sadly only two of the seven staff, which includes chefs, were wearing any sort of face covering

Went there on the back of the latest reviews. Very disappointed. If the young girl spent less time on her phone and paid attention to what we were ordering, this review might be different. But only just. That said, we’ve eaten enough Chinese food in our lifetime and we only ordered a char sui chop suey, s&s pork, fried rice and spring roll. The pork in both mains was well and truly overcooked and tough. I suspect it had been pre-cooked as the whole lot was delivered in less that 8 minutes. The fried rice was tasteless. The sweet & sour sauce was nothing like we’ve ever enjoyed before. It was thrown away after a couple of mouthfuls. Revolting best describes what we had. £15 down the drain but I guess you get what you pay for. Too far away to return it in person

I ordered the vegetable Chow Mein, after having asked if it was vegetarian. Unfortunately, after a couple of bites I discovered large chunks of meat, most likely chicken. I am a vegetarian, that’s why I ordered a vegetarian dish, so had to throw it all away. This place is just for takeaway and I was already home when I started eating, or I would have gone back and complained. I will not be back.

Worst salt and pepper ribs that I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was tasteless and oily. There was few pieces of onions and carrots. Never had carrots in salt and pepper ribs before.

We were on holiday on Lewis and after a very busy day of sightseeing all over the island decided on a takeaway. What a treat! The food was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered and finished every last mouthful. It’s a shame we don’t live nearer!

We all have a Sunday where you cannot be bothered to cook, One of my mates defeated we get munch box meals, he forgot to say they were in a pizza box and stuffed One would have done the pair of us, chips ribs onion rings spring rolls you name it, it’s in there. So if you want the best £12 scoff this is the place to go

Used to be consistently good we never went anywhere else - been pretty poor last few months , food lacks flavour ( chow mein tasteless and singapore fried rice was awefull)and often the tub is barely half full .... disappointing as it used to be very good

Not the best chinese/Malaysian takeaway but the only one on the island i could find. They dont accept card, only cash which is usually a sign that they are dodging the VAT man. Their chicken balls were more like chicken nuggets.

Ok Chinese takeaway in Stornoway. The food is definitely tasty and reasonably priced; however, after ordering a few times I got the feeling that there is not a huge variation in their dishes. Despite a big menu, all the options are very similar in taste, mostly because they are served in the same broth/sauce. I tried a Chinese, a Cantonese and a Malaysian dish and they were all very similar. Also, orders are served within 10 minutes which kinda makes you think there is some degree of pre-cooking of the meat.

Thai take away, consistent quality not the cheapest

Second visit in same week whilst staying in area. Singapore fried rice and chips (half and half). Wait for freshly cooked food with a hint of Malaysian influence as a dual takeaway. Easy parking and indoor waiting area. Authentic style food and served hot and fresh with a bag! Great find. Best of the Chinese takeaway outlets in Stornoway in my opinion.

Ordered for 7 people, everyone enjoyed their varied meals, very reasonably priced and ready to collect in 20 minutes.

A simple Singapore fried rice is my standard go to. I want especially hungry, so was delighted to see that this takeaway does halfs (which was more than enough for me).

Nice tasty takeaway, good seasoning and not too much sauce. Good selection of veg in the satay and soup I ordered, and meat and fish cooked well and good quality.

Das Takeaway befindet sich in einer alten Tankstelle an einem Kreisverkehr und sieht von aussen etwas heruntergekommen aus. Davon darf man sich nicht abhalten lassen. Das Essen schmeckt und die Portionen lassen jeden satt werden.

We've eaten from here a coupe of times when on Lewis and each time has been a good experience. Freshly prepared, hot and filling food, very tasty too.

This place was a life-saver, as we arrived in Stornoway on a Sunday evening and everything was closed, including the service stations and all the supermarkets. Only place we found open and serving food was Fusion, and we were surprised with the quality of the food. The menu has all you can need, and the price is really good for the quality.

On arrival, we didn't want to cook. We took a walk in the area and found this Chinese takeaway. Order our meals, they were lovely. I had the chicken with cashew nuts. We liked it so much we left a menu leaflet in our accommodation so that next guests could use this takeaway too.

Disappointing as there is a banner outside saying the chef has 30 years experience. We ordered 4 dishes and all were so bland - no flavours whatsoever. It filled a hole as we were hungry but I'm not heading back!

I personally not keen on this place but in saying that I will eat the food it'll do. Decent menu choices and just as quick as anywhere else in the town

Poor starters menu meaning they are buying in what they can and don't make their own. Mains ordered 4 different all bland no taste and full of grease. Girls helpful and polite serving. Serving rubbish food because little else options don't waste your money.

Chilli garlic chicken with boiled rice is very deliciuos. Fast service, nice atmosphere, off-street parking.

The food was not very inspiring. And quite a high price for a tub of noodles.

A bit overpriced, and the butter chicken was watery not creamy, and very spicy. They do not provide bags, and take only cash.

Perhaps I was expecting Fusion to be like the other Asian establishments I have dined in/ordered from, yet I found it to be sub-par. I must say though, it is in a great location. Perhaps I have been "brainwashed" by other Chinese/Asian establishments, yet I do not feel that Fusion is even close to attaining those kind of accolades.

This place is a bog-standard oriental takeaway with all the usual range of Chinese and Thai dishes on the menu. None of the dishes were noteworthy. Neither were they unsatisfactory - just average.

Wide range of choices on this popular menu at a very reasonable price. Ample parking makes for a speedy takeaway.

C'était un dimanche soir ou tous les autres restaurants étaient fermés et nous avons pris un menu pour 4. C'était un repas Pas mauvais mais pas non plus super.

We had the set menu for two. Good value at £24. We ordered an extra sweet, but will have to wait to eat it, as we are full.

Had takeaways from here on several occasions & have always been satisfied. Varied menu & very tasty food at a reasonable price. More smiles though please!

Patatas fritas y salsa de curry y pidió un "feas" chow mien. Soy vegetariano y estaba indignado a encontrar trozos de pollo I. mi comida. no sólo había carne en una comida de carne gratis, pero el pollo no lucir bien. Todo era cã y grasos. He oído un montón de cosas terribles sobre este lugar. Evite.

El personal de estaban más interesados en usar sus teléfonos móviles que en hacer su trabajo. Cuando hablan no era por favor o gracias y comida que tomó años preparar por debajo. Algunos de los lugareños me aconsejó evitar este lugar y me hubiese escuchado a ellos.

El arroz estaba muy decepcionado zapallo no muy cálido y procesados de pollo, no se lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

After living in Asia for years you get a custom to authentic Asian food. Eating here last week was the first time since I have been in Asia I have had such authentic food! Delicious and worth the wait (very busy on Saturday nights)

A nice takeaway that opens later than you would expect considering general business hours on the island. They do half sizes of popular dishes for the smaller appetite and the few times I used the takeaway the food was always hot and tasty and did not take too long to be picked up. Great value for money and friendly staff

Thought this place would be good, given the previous good reviews and the fact that it was extremely busy (although it was a Friday night). Had to wait an hour for very poor quality food. Some dishes were missing from the order when we arrived back at our chalet, even though the order was checked through with us before paying. Obviously couldn't check inside the boxes until we were home, and it was too far to drive back to get them late at night. The dishes we did receive had poor quality meat and overly sweet sauces.

Arrived late at night and first place we seen the curry was awful and rice and chicken didn't look cooked wouldn't recommend

I expected chop suey to be largely vegetables. It was mostly noodles, oily and tasted a bit burnt. Sweet and sour pork was a good flavour, but the meat was incredibly stringy. Not a place we'd return to.

We had the quarter duck here and it was really good We arrived off the ferry at 8:15 so most of Stornaway was closing and we did not have many options but I was surprised how nice this wasIt is a takeaway though no seats but we took it back to the hotel

Decided on a takeaway Chinese after a long day sightseeing round the island and picked up on fusion from trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed, food was freshly prepared and tasted great. We had Gung Bo chicken (sweet chili), chicken satay,chicken chow mein (half portion), chicken fried rice and the house special spring rolls with dip. All were perfect and two adults and two kids cleared their plates. Very reasonable at £23 too.

Einen Punkt Abzug gab es dafür, dass die Frühlingsrollen (übrigens eine sehr schmackhafte Eigenkreation) innen noch gefroren waren. Wir bekamen promt sehr heiße nachgeliefert. Wir haben zweimal hier gegessen, weil am Sonntag auf Lewis und Harris viele Restaurants geschlossen haben oder durch Reservierungen ausgebucht sind (hat uns in diesem Fall nicht wirklich gestört ;o) )

The takeaway is fairly efficient, you don't have to wait too long. The food is plenty, tasty and not too expensive.

Really enjoy the food from this takeaway. It is my first choice for Chinese in Stornoway. Garlic Chilli Chicken is excellent.

Excellent Chinese takeaway when it first opened. Open now for a number of years, I suspect it has had a huge turnover of staff. Bit hit and miss currently, I think it depends on who is on duty in the kitchens, sometimes it is excellent and therefore highly recommended but other times disappointing I'm sorry to say. As I say, it would suggest that the experience is largely dependent on who is in the kitchens on any given day.

Ribs to die for! Very good range of dishes, well cooked and very tasty. Our weekly treat at a very reasonable price.

Having finished work later than usual the thought of having to cook was not an appealing one so decided to give Fusion a go. I was not disappointed in my decision.The menu choice was impressive and what I ordered was tasty. The member of staff on the counter was professional and courteous the entire time. Will be back again.

Wir hatten ein Take Away Menü für zwei Personen und waren total begeistert. Frische Zutaten - konnte man u.a. sehen weil nicht alles gekocht war - und grosse Portionen. Wir waren extrem hungrig und konnten nicht alles aufessen.Das Satay war eines der besten welches ich je gegessen habe. Es gab nichts was nicht gut war. Wenn ich in der Nähe wohnen würde, würde ich hier öfter hingehen!

The crispy duck was dry, Malaysian lamb curry was actually Japanese style and the meat was sparse. They had run out of pork. The egg fried rice was dry. Chilli squid and the sweet and sour prawns were good, and the pricing was reasonable. Okay if you need a Chinese fix, missable otherwise.

Tried other Chinese Take aways on the Isle of lewis only to be really disappointed. Then we found FUSION Chinese Malaysian take away recommended by the holiday home owner. It was excellent quality and the establishment clean. Far cleaner than other Take outs on the Island that we had tried. Recommended dishes. Satay Chicken. Chinese Style. also Pork & Ginger & Pineapple. Also Chicken & Blackbean. Singapore style Noodles. Perfect. Good tender Chicken & no problems.

On Honeymoon, travelled the 14 miles from our accommodation to pick up our meal. Well worth it. Food was delicious. Up there with our favourite local Chinese restaurants / carry outs in the Glasgow area. The 24 quid meal for 2 would feed 3 no problem. Very good.

Been here many times and always get quick, easy and polite service. Food is tasty and provided quickly. I tend to get a takeaway alot when staying in a nearby hotel, certainly enjoy it more! Noodles are my favourite and they're just perfect....no beansprouts! Highly recommend this place. It's extremely hard to bypass as the smells wafting about are irresistible!

We got to Fusion just before it closed at 10pm. The staff stayed back late to prepare our meal and it was the best Chinese we've ever had. The prawn sesame toast was particularly delicious but every dish was first class. We had laughed about fancying a Chinese takeaway whilst in the Outer Hebrides but if we return to Stornaway, we'll be straight back to Fusion.

This is a convenient placed takeaway if you are travelling up towards Ness.The menu is quite extensive and the service very fast - needless to say the food is delicious.

The Best chicken butter curry served in Stornoway. Some people may think too much sauce with only chicken in the sauce but mixed with fried rice , you can't beat it. Spring rolls hit the spot as well.
