Fusciardi Ice Cream Parlour in Eastbourne

The ice cream is delicious with a wide range of flavours. We used the take away facility and had to queue for a while so service score suffered a little, also probably due to how busy it was the staff were more concerned with rushing customers through rather than the customers overall experience. Can't comment on atmosphere as used take away entrance

Our second visit, the gelato is really superb. We had mango sorbet, chocolate & peanut, chocolate and vanilla across the four of us, and all of the flavours were delicious. We have had plenty of gelato in Italy and this compares very well. The only slight downer was that the girl serving us looked thoroughly miserable and put a bit of a downer on our experience as a result, we felt like we were an inconvenience. Another member of staff did step in to help and that eased things slightly.

Great choice of icecream flavours...hard to choose!

Having been a loyal customer of Gelato Famoso in Eastbourne for nearly a decade, my family and I have cherished our visits to this ice cream parlour, making it a beloved tradition. Unfortunately, our latest visit was shockingly disappointing due to the service we received. For years, Gelato Famoso has been a spot where we’ve enjoyed delightful ice cream and friendly service. However, this time, we encountered a rude, arrogant, and insulting staff member—a young teenager with ginger hair—who tarnished our experience. Her lack of care, sarcastic demeanor, and passive-aggressive attitude were distressing, especially as her comments upset my young children. More concerning was her disregard for our requests for allergy information, a critical aspect given my son and husband’s severe food allergies. This lack of sensitivity and assistance is not only disappointing but also alarming, posing a serious health risk. Another concern was that she repeatedly touched her mouth, face and hair and rolled her eyes when we pointed this out, just wanting the most basic of food hygiene for my family. After such a long-standing relationship with Gelato Famoso, it’s disheartening to say that we won’t be returning if this is the standard of service now deemed acceptable. It’s a sad end to what was once a cherished family tradition. I’ll be advising friends and family to steer clear of Gelato Famoso until they address these serious issues in customer service and safety.

I visited here yesterday with my young daughters to have sundaes. After having told that we need to order before sitting down, we stopped at the counter to look at the displayed menu. While my daughters were reading the list of the sundaes, one of the women working behind the counter was gesturing that they need to move on. I said to her that they are choosing their order. Then she complained that their hair might fall into the toppings behind the counter. Now, neither of them were leaning over and their hair was not anywhere near the toppings, and the menu was supposedly displayed there to be consulted. Was it my daughters' curly hair that bothered this unpleasant woman?? I can't think of any other reason--they were quietly reading and their hair was tied back. One person made our experience very unpleasant. Needless to say, I did not trust her enough after this to eat the sundaes she would have made for us. There are other ice cream places in Eastbourne; we will certainly not return to this one.

Great and wide selection of ice creams, although the salted caramel I had last time was very bland. They also do general meals as well. Nice clean toilets. We love the ban on dogs, like many we dislike dogs in restaurants and cafes. Partly because of this we've become semi regulars here.

Ordered just one item, and amazingly they managed to get it wrong, I let them know when it was served up, and it all became my fault. Shockingly Bad service, we'll certainly not be back and likely try elsewhere.

This place is good for ice cream. Food is not so good. I had a bacon baguette and coffee which terrible. Cheap ingredients tasteless food

Favourite ice cream place! We love grabbing a waffle cone ice cream and having a walk along the sea front from here.

Have passed this place so many times over a 15 year period, but as we've always had b and b we're usually too full up from breakfast, and by time we get back from day out its closed!!...but we made it this time without grandson...its bigger inside than I thought and cosy warm nice atmosphere and waffles are huge!! I visited today ( Boxing Day)with my husband, he wanted a hot drink and cake, which he purchased and sat inside, I only wanted an ice cream cone which I purchased at the take away counter and then went and sat inside with him. After about 5 minutes we were told by a member of staff that I could not sit with him as cones were take away only ! Whilst I fully understand that if we had both purchased cones it would not have been appropriate for us to take up a table, my husband was eating and drinking at a small table and I had to leave him sitting there alone, while I went outside to eat my cone !! A distinct lack of common sense, and Christmas spirit.

We went as it was 5 minutes walk from our hotel to try their Sundaes. My partner had the Strawberry Fayre and I had the Banoffee. Both were excellent and ice cream was fab. Would certainly recommend it for the ice cream. Both were £7.95 each. Service was quick and staff very friendly.

I feel after changing the name the quality of ice cream has become better. I loved my favourite mix of salted caramel and chocolate on a waffle cone. I do enjoy having ice cream on a nice summer day. Nice location and friendly staff.

Very disappointing about this place. I used to enjoy coming here for an ice cream, but today I was let down by the rudeness of a member of staff. We bought 4 ice creams on cones to eat them while walking by the beach, but, as it started raining, we decided to sit down inside the shop to eat them, just to be told for a member of staff that the tables were only for orders of the menu a not for take away orders, and that we have to leave the shop. The shop wasn't even busy and it was raining. Very disappointing, definitely not going back.

Very disappointed with this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s a lot worse quality since it has new owners and the staff it’s rude and unhelpful.

A long queue and a sign famoso Italian ice cream prompted me to queue. Unfortunately, the mango sorbet was unlike sorbet , more like a creamy ice cream and did not taste of mango. Vanilla ice cream was too sweet and had no black vanilla specks. We did not try flourescent bubble gum ice cream. Never seen in authentic Italian ice cream place. Kelly's ice cream from a beach side kiosk was much better.

Always a queue which tells you it it always good ice cream , great flavours , nice size servings and friendly staff .....live 60 miles away from Eastbourne but when we visit this is the place we get our ice creams as its the best 👌

Very nice ice-cream and very good service

Came here with a group of The Hive service users. The staff her are absolutely brilliant with the disabled people. We have been many times. My client had the banoffee pie, and the portion size was huge. The staff are so friendly and very accommodating.

Stayed closing hours on Sundays are 1900. We turned up eagerly at 1845, only to be turned away by a full staff as ,”they were closed”. I now have one very disappointed family. Not exactly blown away by the service.

Popped in for coffees, and just had to order a strawberry and ice cream waffle......delicious! The staff are really friendly and smiley and make you feel very welcome. Very clean and bright cafe. You MUST pay this place a visit when you are in Eastbourne!

Absolutely delicious ice cream, really friendly help staff. Spotlessly clean shop, cafe and facilities. My second visit and will not be the last. Serve set sundaes etc but will also assemble your choice of ingredients. Takeaway also available. Wd go more often if lived nearer than 85 miles!!

This place changed hands and its name a year or so ago. Looks identical but the honeycomb ice cream did not taste quite the same. I don’t know why. Still very good however but expensive. Parking there is also almost impossible.

Disappointing visit - we had lunch in the restaurant with my elderly mother went up to get an ice cream in a cone for dessert and was rudely told loudly in front of other diners that weren’t allowed to eat ice creams in a cone...

I’m so disappointed. The gelato is not the same quality anymore. They’ve completely changed the honeycomb ice cream to a cheaper preparation. It used to be actual pieces of cinder honeycomb with liquid cinder honeycomb drizzled in. Sadly at yesterdays visit it was basically vanilla...

I got a fruits of the forest cheesecake flavour on one day and a biscoff caramel biscuit flavour another. They tasted YUM! really nice homemade Ice cream. Will want to try all the flavours they have to offer.

Nice creamy Italian stile gelato, not the foamy from the ice cream van. Some taste are more tasty than others i. e. I had chocolate peanuts and strawberry cheese cake and was great and very tasty meanwhile me other half had strawberry and honeycomb and was a bit bland. You don't wanna be in rush, there was a nice queue outside, but not too bad, 5 mins and you are enjoying you ice-cream on the beach.

The best ice cream in Eastbourne! There was a large queue when I visited but that is Understandable as it is amazing quality! Large selection of flavours and cones/tubs. I had takeaway but there is indoor and outdoor seating available. So far I've tried chocolate, coffee, lotus biscuits and Turkish delight and I would honestly recommend all of them!

Long time ⌛ spent in the queue waiting to be served on Saturday afternoon. A good selection of ice cream 🍦 flavours but the actual quality of the taste was not the same as on previous visits especially the rum and raison and banana ones that I purchased for myself and my friend.

Some of the best ice cream in the local area, large amount of options available. The parlour allows both sit in and takeaway, The takeaway queue due to Fusciardis popularity in summer months can be a very long wait.

Fusciardi is always a lovely little ice cream parlour in the heart of Eastbourne. Whenever I'm down here I always pop in for a chocoholic. Staff are lovely and prices are cheap.

I remember this fantastic ice cream parlour from some years ago,it was the best I had ever been to,it's so nice to know that it's still there,a fab memory.

Gorgeous fabulous homemade ice cream parlour / restaurant. I enjoyed coffee outside yesterday and today was back for milkshake made with the homemade strawberry ice cream and homemade banoffee pie 🥧 delicious 😋 Strict Covid procedures in place, lots to choose from on display and pay at till. Friendly staff, spotless restaurant. Have been coming to Eastbourne for years and always driving past, so glad we visited, noticed that they also serve breakfast so could stay all day lol !

Great bacon buttie - and I had an ovaltine for the first time in years! My German born wife, who greatly misses the largely Italian run, German Ice Cafes, enjoyed a knickerbocker glory.

This is the place to go for your ice cream treats and their hot chocolate is the best ever great staff as well what else can you ask for.
