Fulham Kitchen in Hammersmith and Fulham

I made booking a day ahead for a party of few of us at the back of the restaurant, just to be called several hours before the service was due and told that there is a (bigger party coming) and that my booking had to be cancelled. Speechless.

The cuisine at this modest joint on Fulham’s Munster Road has been variously described as modern European and even Italian (well pizzas and pastas feature on the main menu). However the additional menu featuring ‘dishes my mother made’ some with Serbo-Croatian names) and the speaking of Serbo-Croatian by the couple at the adjoining table in the small rear patio and to the waitress in that language, revealed the ownership of this place to hail from Serbia. A flatscreen TV in the corner hung from a wall with references to Dynamo Belgrade winning various international ball-kicking and passing competitions in 1991. Nothing wrong with any of that. My wife is a Bosnian Serb but was not surprised by how much the couple at the adjoining table lingered. As for the food my wife and wife both chose fillet of salmon and vegetables from the lunch menu, both very generously portioned with little bowls of soy sauce. The salmon was perfectly cooked with pieces gently fell off. As did the meat from the proud bone of my lamb shank set in a rich sauce in which a smooth portion of mash shared space with petits pois. Tiramisu was a better dessert than a lemon polenta case whose top was very slightly burnt. No complaints about the house red or a frothy double espresso. Will hope to sample the Serbian specialities on a return visit.

Llevé a mi hijo de regreso a Fulham, listo para la universidad. Este restaurante está al otro lado de la calle y tenía una mesa libre para dos. Elegimos del menú tradicional y ambos platos eran muy sabrosos y con una buena relación calidad-precio. El personal fue muy amable y el servicio fue bueno.

Como de costumbre, en la entrada ha recibido el dueño. Lo sorprendente es que en realidad me recordó cuando vine sola esta vez, la última vez que visité a algunos amigos en noviembre. Esto muestra respeto y cuidado por su negocio y sus huéspedes y también brinda un enfoque personal a toda la experiencia. No hay mejor manera de hacer felices a los clientes que hacerlos sentir como en casa.Tenía una de las comidas tradicionales serbias. . . Snitzel de cerdo relleno. Always looking for good Serbian food in London. Found it! 2 portions of cevapi, a salad, 1 beer, 3 cappucinos and 2 stuffed bunnies for £40. Will be back.

We had tapas and soup of the day which was a Tomato soup. The soup was very good and the tapas portions where large. Price was fair, I would revisit and can definitely recommend.

We called in here for a meal before visiting a Fulham game. The service and food was first class, I would definitely return. Give ur a try, you won’t be disappointed. I’d highly recommend the Cevapi in Somun. It was incredible.

Ambiente relajado y se parece más a una cafetería que a un restaurante. Buenos precios y tamaños de porción. Mi pasta estaba demasiado cocida y porque el tamaño de la porción era tan ENORME, no fue tan agradable.

Well over a year since we started dropping in to this lovely eatery on Munster Rd.

Y probablemente todas las comidas. Solo hemos desayunado allí, ya que hemos estado fuera por el resto del día. Hemos estado en esta área tres veces en los últimos 12 meses y siempre ha sido excelente. El desayuno es de gran valor, rápido y acompañado de un buen café. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

This place is a hidden gem! A friend recommended us to visit given our love for Balkan food having travelled around a few Balkan countries during our Europe trip.

Esta cocina / cafetería temática serbia, pero en su mayoría italiana, ofrece una gran variedad de especiales a la hora del almuerzo. Gran café, muy buen servicio y los dos risotto que tuvimos en el menú de especialidades eran excelentes. Al estar un poco alejado de la pista de Fulham también hace que los precios sean mejores que los de Fulham Road y otros factores principales. Muy recomendable desvío - ¡oh que risotto!

È un piccolo ristorante in un angolo un po' nascosto di Fulham. L'ambiente è un po' vintage, il locale è un po' troppo pieno di cose, decorazioni bandiere etc. Però il cibo è ottimo: gulash squisito, zuppa di zucca e zenzero buonissima. Personale gentilissimo. C'è anche una sala con la TV satellitare. Il prezzo, considerato che siamo a Londra, più che onesto. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ci tornerò sicuramente se capiterò ancora da quelle parti.

Estuve cerca, así que esto fue más conveniente que buscarlo. Zona muy residencial / no cerca del metro, pero el acceso a través del autobús es ideal. La comida era mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. El cordero fue cocinado a la perfección. Pida sentarse cerca de la habitación de atrás y ver el espectáculo real en marcha.

Fulham Kitchen fue una decisión de último minuto, ya que nos quedamos cerca una noche. Qué buena elección. Tenía Cevapi, que era excelente y me recordó unas vacaciones recientes en Croacia. Mi esposa tenía linguini con mariscos y un amigo tenía la ensalada de pollo, ninguno podía criticar los platos. Las ayudas fueron muy generosas y nos costó mucho terminarlas. El servicio fue excelente con un alegre y amable camarero. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Londres.

¡Mala experiencia! La peor comida jamás, mal servicio. Camarera que nos sirvió era extremadamente desagradable y grosero! ¡No voy a volver!

Had been for sunday lunch and was so impressed with the pork we returned with family for breakfast and it was a great success. The pancakes were lovely and presentation fabulous. The cooked breakfast included everything and was mammoth. My sausage sandwich was on ciabatta, made perfectly and great sausages! We also had the fresh orange juice which was gorgeous! Will definately be back for one of their special nights they advertise. Next one is the mexican!

Very hard decision what to recommend. Family friendly place with choice of different dishes. Come and try. Won’t be disappointed.

We had cevape and sarma, and it was simply great, the best sarma I have had in years. The service was perfect and the atmosphere was great, all was made easy for us to enjoy, quiet place, beautiful decoration, we had a great night.

Mousaka, "mamas favourite recipe" looked like it was cooked about a week ago, dry. rock hard and reheated. not what i expected from a recommended dish on the menu. Portion size tiny. The description led me to believe it would have been a fresh dish with creamy dauphinois potatoes and a rich cheese sauce inside but unfortunately it did not match this description.

I love this place, always make it a point to visit when I’m in the country, food is nice, coffee is good and the staff is friendly.

Fantástico brunch cumpleaños el sábado, tuvimos una carcajada, la camarera Andriana era genial y muy atento. Teníamos comida, una mezcla de platos y tapas brunch así como unos cuantos cócteles una. He comido aquí tres o cuatro veces antes, pero nunca con un grupo tan grande y todos nos lo pasamos de maravilla y todos volveremos! Andriana dieron una preciosa pudding con una vela de cumpleaños, que era tan dulce y el tiramisú casero era increíble! Gracias de nuevo por un día maravilloso, es "sjajno", nos vemos pronto! Primero de todo, yo estaba emocionado de que todo el mundo que trabaja allí es serbio, ya que tenía muy buenas experiencias en Serbia hace unos años. Yo estaba muy contento de ver el ajvar en el menú como recuerdo amoroso que allí (aquí fue muy bueno, pero no es el mejor que he tenido). Pedí el champiñón, queso y espárragos bruschetta para empezar y estaba delicioso, lleno de la mencionada ingredientes. Se sirve sobre una cama de verde. También me dio la patata asada y ensalada dulce fig, que era rociado con vinagre. Un tamaño de porción enorme para menos de 10 libras, así que es una buena relación calidad-precio en mi libro. Las patatas estaban tostados bastante bien, pero aun no era el mejor que he probado; un poco soso, incluso con la vinagreta. En general, aunque todavía decente. Mi marido dijo que su hamburguesa estaba bien. El interior del restaurante es realmente encantador, con fotos antiguas y el patio exterior era encantadora en la agradable tarde de verano. Gracias chicos, sólo tomar un poco de vino de serbia!

So we arrived at 12.20... on a warm spring afternoon...the place had clearly not started serving luncheon and my wife and I along with a sleeping 2yr old, ordered a glass of wine, a club sandwich, chips and a bowl of olives, to grab a bite while our daughter was sleeping. Simple enough order, I hear you say, quick, easy.....how wrong we were...after 1 hour our club sandwich order hadn't appeared and our sleeping daughter had awoken, so no peaceful bite to eat for us....I paid the bill and left hungry, we never even got to eat our sandwich (it never arrived by the time we left) nor our chips.....so service positively shocking, and to top it all I was charged for a juice I never had...although in fairness this mistake was remedied...you would think in central London, this sort of service would be rare, especially in a nice affluent neighbourhood such as Fulham..but oh no....and don't let an empty restaurant fool you it will be quick service....on the contrary....perhaps the chef hadn't even arrived, or forgotten how to make a club sandwich to local customers. Not going back....ever.....strive to do better Fulham Kitchen...one cannot be complacent in this day and age for customers and the service you provide.Disappointed and hungry customer...

Good food, eclectic decor. The morning we were there the cook was late but we had coffee and enjoyed talking with 2 other couples that were visiting from Canada & Australia. Food was good, just had waffles with fruit. Would go back again if in the area

We had the goats cheese salad and the grilled halloumi and quinoa salad. They were both excellent and would highly recommend. Service was good too.

I was last night at the restaurant and was pleasently surprised with waitresses and other staff. They were quick, accessible and friendly. I felt like I was at home. The food was very delicious with affordable prices. I will definitely come again and recommend the place to others. ❤

One has to mention the plastic beaded chandeliers first of all. Kitsch? I say, excellent.Sure the tables wobble, but don't we all at some point? The menu is varied and all meals that I have eaten have been well cooked and presented. I was a tad disappointed when I ordered three poached eggs on toast and they put all three eggs on one piece of toast, but that was an anomaly. The full English and the variety of sandwiches, meals and new introductions is excellent. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The double espresso is OK but a tad expensive compared to other local eateries. This might be the result of estate agents now calling this area Munster Village! Worth a visit and there is plenty of eye-candy on the walls to distract you while you wait.

Oh dear. We've eaten in Fulham Kitchen a few times for weekend brunches and never had a problem. Today however was an entirely different experience. The warning signs were there when we sat down, one waitress, who bless her looked like she was keeping the place going on her own, indicated she was the only waitress today and things might take a little while.When our food order was finally taken, we went for eggs Benedict and an egg and bacon sandwich. This took around 20 minutes to come, during which lots of food appeared to be coming out and being sent back by tables. Again warning signs. The benedict had overcooked poached eggs but the egg and bacon sandwich was awful. The egg was so overcooked it had welded to the bread. There was no check back at any point, and then the plates not cleared for a further 20 minutes. Our plates were cleared by someone who working behind the bar, and when we mentioned the burnt eggs she asked if we had ordered them well done!? Then we were told we should have come and found someone rather than expecting a call back and we should specify we don't want well done eggs next time. Properly cooked eggs shouldn't have to be a special request. It was a surreal experience and such laughably bad customer service. The waiting continued for a bill to materialise, so instead I went to pay. Turns out our order wasn't even in the system so I had to recount what we'd had, again mentioning the burnt eggs. The discount for the poor food and rude service? £1, for the bacon added to the egg sandwich, which was something we could actually eat. I couldn't see any table having a pleasurable experience today, and it's a shame as we have had good meals there before. However after today, we won't return and I can't recommend anyone else does either.

Munster Road has a LOT of Italian restaurants but this place is certainly not. It's quirky, friendly and has a great selection of simple but delicious food. The steak was one of the best I've had in London. The staff are friendly and helpful and will listen to music suggestions..

We visited as large party and were very impressed. The service was excellent, the food delicious and they went out the way to make a special vegetarian option for my young son. It is a very cosy little local restaurant and we will definitely return in the future.

Went for dinner here last night. Cosy place, feels like you could be at home. Burger was awesome with proper thick cut chips and you could actually fit the burger in your mouth without everything falling out!. Waitress was lovely. Will be back for sure.

Dropped in for lunch mid-Sunday afternoon. Pleasant Gourmet Burger and King Prawn Risotto. The restaurant looks nice with a slightly locals atmosphere to it. Menu is small, but has sufficient to be interesting.They have four outside tables ... the problem. The staff travelled back and forth to the two tables outside that were occupied throughout our meal and left the door open every time. On a cool if not cold December day this is very annoying and in the pretty dull category. Customers were no better ... I didn't think London had barns for people to be born in. Scored down as a result.

Two 60ish Canadians from Vancouver Island, Our first ever night in London, and we'd done our research for the best places to eat in the Fulham-Hammersmith area and we found our objective - Fulham Kitchen. We were not disappointed in the cuisine or the funky setting! The servers and cooks were wonderful, as was the menu selection.. We left well satisfied, having had a great meal.We would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Cheers and thanks.

We were attracted to this little gem by the L.e.d lights this evening when we were way down the street, it seemed very inviting and pretty so we wondered in.. it had a homely feel to it .. we were immediately greeted and seated by the window, at this point it wasn't particularly busy, just 3 others... we opted for Hungarian Goulash.. when it arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the portion size .. the beef and the sauce were seasoned well and the mash was perfect too .. both of us cleared our plates empty ... the staff were very attentive and looked after us well ... I will definitely visit again .. thank you

We went for lunch in Fulham kitchen and were delighted with the quality of the food and the excellent service. The food is well-prized but the greatest surprise was to find they have a 2010 St Emilion for £35! I will be back soon!

I had lunch here with a colleague whilst visiting London and it was so good I came back for dinner the same day. There was a good selection of options for lunch which ranged from pulled pork to a wonderful sweet potato and date salad. Diner was also exceptional and the Risotto Nero (cooked squid ink) I had was world class

Difficult to give a good review of this restaurant following the very poor service we received.We had initially walked down Munster road looking for a place for a quick evening meal for our family of 4 including our 2 young children. We were attracted in by the advertised 25% off the food bill on Monday evenings.It all started fine. We sat down and advised we wanted food. The waitress initially brought over the menus. This is where things started to go a bit south.The food was good - this is what drags the review up to a 2*. The service was not. The waitress didn't know what beers were available - she didn't go and check, she just advised us she didn't know. We asked about the desserts - she got them wrong - we found out when they arrived that the daily cheesecake wasn't vanilla - it was passion fruit - it's not like they're even similar colours!Then the bill came - everything full price! I queried this. The waitress advised me that '6pm isn't evening'.Fulham Kitchen, if you don't want to give people money off then don't offer it - simple really.I've included a photo of the advertised discount. I also include the dictionary definition of 'evening' for the waitress' benefit:"eveningˈiːv(ə)nɪŋ/noun1.the period of time at the end of the day, usually from about 6 p.m. to bedtime."

Ate here a few mornings during our stay in Fulham. Fresh and flavourful...excellent menu options. Coffee was wonderful!

Unpretentious, colourful, lively and relaxed atmosphere. They made room for us on a busy evening and made sure we had cool drinks quickly. My husband had a delicious vegetarian risotto and I had a great stuffed pepper entrée with quinoa and avocado - nice to find such tasty and healthy mains on the menu. We will be back.

We enjoyed a few breakfasts here and they were freshly prepared. Gluten free bread was available. The coffee was excellent. Staff always friendly. Would highly recommend this small restaurant.

We had a weekday lunch here after meaning to try it out for a while, and it surpassed our expectations.The menu has everything from burger and chips or bacon sandwich to really great salads and risottos. I had a seriously, SERIOUSLY good goat's cheese salad - it had lovely roasted peppers, walnuts, bitter leaves and was beautifully dressed. Salads can so easily be disappointing when you eat out but this was fabulous - and I saw a man who arrived after us eyeing it up and then he ordered the same! And my husband had a lovely prawn risotto which he said was great.Very good coffee and nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommended.

I've been to Fulham Kitchen a few times and it is always a positive experience. The place is small-however,this only means that you have the attention of the waitresses (they are super friendly,helpful and seem to be there just in the right moment). The food is excellent-try the fried asparagus-my new favorite! I would recommend it to anyone at anytime, no matter what the reason: the best place for a date but equally good for impressing your mother-in-law:)

I was recommended this by a friend who had been the week before. We had a girly supper here which was great, all the food was delicious and the Rioja we tried was also a great choice. The restaurant is not huge so a great place for a cosy or romantic easy meal. They have happy hour before 7:30 so you great for value.

A charming place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. (They also have a deal with The Captain Cook, so if you're staying there you can save 10%.) Food was fantastic and the servers, sweethearts. The decor is rustic, eclectic and a delight to experience.

Stumbled across Fulham Kitchen while myself and my boyfriend were desperately looking for some late lunch. Loved the decor which made the place feel very warm and cosy, I can't remember the name of the girl who served us but she was bubbly and helpful, not over intrusive but great, genuine service. The food was also great, I had the Vietnamese pulled pork sandwich which was delicious and a perfect size. My boyfriend chose a burger which looked delicious and I was really happy to see the chips were home cooked, he even ate the salad ;) Definitely recommend and will be coming again to test out the brunch!

Came here for Breakfast 4 times while staying at the Captain Cook really nice place, Nikki, not sure if that's spelt right! was so helpful to us, in spite of our whole family invading the place. The breakfasts were so so good I can't wait to come back to London to have the Eggs Benedict or maybe the Full English.. perhaps the Eggs Royale!

Taken here for lunch on Mothers Day and it was wonderful. The service was really friendly and the food was delicious - and to top it off I was given a free mini bottle of prosecco as a Mothers Day treat - loved it and will be back.

This is a lovely little restaurant which ticks all the boxes - pleasant atmosphere, very pleasant and friendly staff, and great food. I didn't drink so I can't comment on their wine list. While I was there, locals and regulars turned up and were greeted like old friends. This is a restaurant which is many people's favourite and you can see why. After one sitting, I knew I'd be back. The food is simple, hearty and well cooked. The combination of food and atmosphere is exceptionally charming.

Quirky and cosy decor, great service and a yummy menu! I can't fault it! Its my favourite place for a laid back brunch, they always play great music from Bob Marley to Gypsy King's! Its a feast on the eyes and the tummy! My favourite is the Eggs Royale, with a soya latte and Fresh Orange! The pancakes are great too! Its open all day so you can even pop in later for dinner, the pastas are great and the evening ambiance is lovely, candles and fairy lights all aglow! Its a must if you are in the area!

This is a charming, simple restaurant serving great food with a smile. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and there is a gentle buzz of chatter and laughter to go with the good food and wine. Unpretentious, almost a cafe...but delightful.

A comfortable local restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. We had Sunday lunch there.Very good ,helpful and engaging service from the waitress. Food was well cooked and presented.

Friendly place with choice of cosy inside and front terrace. Largely Italian-style food, but with a tapas menu too. The acid test of a good place is how well it does simple things. Fulham Kitchen serves straightforward food unpretentiously but attractively, and it's all really tasty. Recommended.

I agree with the others that this restaurant is a surprise - it looks like nothing more than a coffee shop, but it's a full-service restaurant. It's really the people who run this place that make it special - we always have the some lovely waitress (not sure of her name) and very often the fantastically nice guy who owns the restaurant is behind the bar. The food is excellent and there's a great outdoor seating area. They're very kid-friendly. It's become one of my family's favourite restaurants.

If you want to escape in a cozy place with excellent food Fulham Kitchen is the place to be! A little restaurant with a family atmosphere offers delicious food served with great attention to detail by hospitable and friendly staff always ready to brighten up your day with great humor and on spot service. The chef is particularly known for his superb risottos, of which my favorite is King Prawns risotto! This is a place where you won't feel sorry leaving a bigger tip than usual since the prices are already reasonable and the waiters are always welcoming. Come and immerse yourself in a place that's more than just a restaurant; it's a society of people with great interests and great food! Cheers!

Living a few minutes walk from the Fulham Kitchen, it has recently become our go to local. It doesn't look like much from outside, although has a really funky Latin vibe when you're in there. I wasn't expecting much on my first visit, but I was blown away. A friend of mine who joined us that evening is a chef on luxury yachts all around the world, and literally wouldn't stop saying how delicious the Risotto was. My favourite is their goats cheese salad, or Carbonara.. This place has never let us down. The staff are always so friendly and always happy to change anything for us. My girlfriend is Gluten and Dairy free, and they just said "no problem, let me see what we can organise with the chef".. brilliant!10/10 - Definitely recommend this place!
