Very nice had regular fish its was cooked perfectly would recommend to everyone

Beautiful food and really reasonable prices too. Has a lovely little cafe so you can either sit in or takeaway. Been here a few times whilst staying locally and it’s been great every time.

Had takeaway. Ordered by phone but still had to wait for 15mins. Fantastic fish, not many chips, and they were cold. Shame, I've had some great grub from here before.

Best fish and chips we have had! We visited Aldbrough for 3 nights and just couldn't get enough of the food from here. Had the sharing platter too and it was amazing. Best reason to visit again soon.

We've been at least 10 times now, and it's the same everytime. Gorgeous fish and chips straight out of the fryer, golden on the outside, fresh and delicious on the inside, big portions with white, chunky fish that tastes like it came straight out of the sea this morning. I recommend breaking it up and letting it cool for a minute before eating though! Pointless going anywhere else.

Absolute waste of 12 quid….burnt fish …tasteless chips girl who had a i wish i was anywhere but here look on her face….another east coast chippy to avoid

Brilliant food, and amazingly friendly staff. Only issues I've ever had is when I forget to pick my sauces up off the counter on the way out! Absolutely recommend

Recommended by the family that runs Green meadow park up the road, this fish and chip shop will not disappoint. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was second to none and the price, well I felt like I was robbing them. I would have paid double and still thought I was getting a good deal. When I come back up north, I'm definitely coming back here for my dinners.

Called in lunchtime, 12/04/22. What can I say, the best fish and chips I have tasted in years. Regular portion is huge, and cooked beautifully. I can recommend, if I could they would get 10 stars.

The best fish we have ever had..lovely little cafe attached to the fish shop.

First time of having them from here....delicious, lovely big white flakes, I couldn't eat all the chips but made sure I ate the fish.

Visited while staying in the local area. Was recommended in the guestbook of the accommodation. Phoned to order as the reviews mentioned that the opening times were not always accurate. Had two haddock and chips and a mushy peas. When I arrived to collect there was a mix up and I was given half an order after paying for it all. This was quickly corrected. The fish was excellent with very tasty batter. The chips were ok.

So we had a takeaway from here last night, my first thought was ok they don’t sell cod strange but then again I am from the south of England, I have got to be honest wow, we all had haddock and chips with mushy peas and gravy and I have to say it was one of the best I have ever had, everything tasted amazing and the gravy was just out of this world, unfortunately we probably won’t be coming to Hull again as the drive was so long but the experience we got from the frying farmer fish and chip shop I will never forget .

Absolutely terrible experience. The lady that served us was rude, inconsiderate and discriminatory.Having been recommended to visit this fish and chip shop, we left Fitling hungry, excited and just ready to experience the taste.Instead we were greeted with rude staff that didn’t listen2/4 are exempt from wearing a mask (due to health issues and the other two had masks) and were refused access into the actual shop. This refrained us from being able to actually look at the food and the prices (before we purchased or chose). Instead we were made to shout our orders from the pavement (which made it very difficult). In the end the lady behind the counter said “ your friend with the mask can order for you all and make it easier for everyone”. This was so embarrassing as it was done in front of other paying customers.Really just ruined the whole experience for us. When we got our food, it wasn’t made as we asked and the chips battered and smelt like they had been fried in dirty oil.Sadly we won’t be coming back to this fish shop.Would rather drive out further than step back into that Frying Fish :(

Had a take away yesterday. Fish, chips and curry sauce. They were hot, chips a plenty, fish was white and large. Curry sauce delicious. The young man serving was polite and efficient.

We were told to go to the Flying Farmer for fish n chips, we were not disappointed... the staff were friendly, followed all of the Covid rules, had a good variety of menu choices, everything we needed to satisfy our needs... great chip shop

The food is a little hit and miss, at times depending on who's frying. There are one or two, employees, that can be quite rude sometimes. But lovely clean, five ⭐ premises. I prefer when the owner/farmer is working, really nice, and he's committed to giving his customers grate quality food and friendly service.

Not the same I gave a good report last time, however just called today for take away. Young man serving very uncivil , barking orders to customers like a Sargent major. Frightened to death anyone went close to the counter.no please or thank you. If he is this nervous of corvid 19 why is he working there.

A brilliant local chippy, staff are amazing and the food is cracking what more do you want! I'm a regular and you should definitely try it!Very broad menu for a fish shop, so there has bound to be something for everyone. The chips are brilliant and the fish is nice and crisp. Try the onion rings whilst you are there, and no fish supper is complete without chip spice so get yourself a tub!Cannot wait to get it again!You can even buy a bag of potatoes, the same that's used for the chips whilst you are there! There is a restaurant (currently closed due to circumstances) but the service in that from my previous experiences is also excellent. If your local whose still not tried it, or even if you simply passing through it is definitely worth the visit!P.s if the owner see this, a big thank you to yourself and all your staff for the hard work you have done over the current crisis. You have helped reduce the difficulties of caring for an elderly relative and put a very big smile on her face which made everything much more enjoyable throughout the present conditions- she also loves the food!

The Frying Farmer was recommended to us by a friend so we thought we'd give it a try. We rang & placed our order & we were asked at what time we'd like to pick them up.On getting there due to the current Coronovirus pandemic social distancing rules were in place & only 1 customer was allowed in the shop at any one time. A barrier was also in place for the safety of the staff & when paying & picking up the food off the counter the staff member moved back to a safe distance. Both card & cash payments were accepted, but I was told on the phone that at the present time card was the preferred method of payment.We both had regular fish & chips, however next time I think I may only have the small as the portion size was huge! The fish filled the box. The batter was lovely & crispy, the fish extremely tasty & piping hot! The menu is tailored to all & there are many different things if you don't fancy fish & chips (we do highly recommend them though!) Next time we go I think I shall be trying the farm dog!!Thanks guys, made a change from cooking & enjoyed not only because they were lovely & tasty but it's the 1st takeaway since lockdown began too Stay safe & we'll see you again soon

The frying farmer is an amazing fun place with excellent fish and chips and the chips are made from the spuds by the fish shop owner on his lovely happy farm and as a bonus the scampi is caught fresh from Whitby. You can eat in or take out and it is as cheap as chips. They also have a 5 hygiene rateing. I would hightly recommend this amazing fish shop.

Enjoyed an excellent meal with my daughters. Food fabulous, very reasonable, and friendly staff. Lovely cosy little cafe.

We had a short break nearby, and the comments book suggested this place. So we tried and by god they were the best Fish and Chips i have had. We are going back i Aug so will be trying them again

Having recently stayed local for a week, we tried out the local chippy, and we're not disappointed. Great customer service and great food. We ate here twice and the food was top notch both times. The chap frying who I take it is the Frying Farmer was great front of house chatting away while we waited for our food to be cooked.A bit off the beaten path but we'll worth a visit.

This really is a superb fish & chip shop. The fish is cooked to order and comes in a super light crispy batter which is not greasy. The Haddock is lovely white big chunks, chips excellent and peas are homemade ones like the old days.Really very impressed. There is a sit down cafe, but been 3 times and always ate in the car.There is a review here below giving a 1 star. This person has only reviewed this place which is very dubious and Trip Advisor need to clamp down on it.This place is fantastic, it is worth the drive here if not from the area.

Need to update opening times . Just travelled 6 miles to find it closed!!! Checked the website before setting off....said you were open. It's Wednesday 21st October 6pm. Thanks for that. A warning to others, opening hours, obviously open, when we feel like it! RING FIRST.

Had a lovely fish and chip lunch here today with my son. The food was delicious, the gravy and curry sauce also very tasty! The decor was really nice and everywhere was spotless. Staff were very friendly so all in all a very positive experience! I would definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

We visited the Frying Farmer on a Saturday lunchtime and chose to eat in the restaurant area. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. We had tea for two in a lovely willow pattern tea set. We chose regular fish and chips and a small furger which is a lovely piece of fish in a soft burger bun with cheese, salad, mayo, gherkins..and a side of chips. Everything was beautifully cooked and fresh! The furger was huge!! My husband ate half of it for me! It was great value for money. It was very quiet when we were there but it deserved to be packed to the rafters.. give it a try..you won't be disappointed!!

We only stopped for coffee, which was served in a retro enamel mug. The fish and chips looked large and lovely, and were obviously appreciated by the diners. Nice atmosphere in the cafe.

Visiting my home village after a few years away and this is the best fish and chips I’ve had here!! Only thing missing was scraps.

We had A fab tea here last night. We went as a family and my two lads thought it was brilliant. Tasty and filling. Will return again next time we are in the area.

We've been here a number of times now for lunch when passing through. As good a fish and chip restaurant as you can get. Freshly cooked, pleasant staff and nice setting. Not the cheapest but worth a visit.

My partner and I have visited the Frying farmer on 4 occasions, once dining in and 3 times taking away, whilst we can't fault the food, we ate, I was rather disappointed in the attitude and customer service, on each occasion we visited the place, we found the lady who was serving at the counter offish, not a very nice atmosphere hence the reason I have only given three stars, we didn't feel welcome at all.

Been today with my sister's and friend, fish and chips are fabulous, staff very friendly, love this place.

We found this gem of a cafe by chance,and so happy we did! We initially thought there was only chip shop food but the menu in the cafe had a good variety of food at very reasonable prices. Our group had fish and chips (big portions,hot and crispy) and jacket potatoes (very generous portions, fresh and tasty) The cafe/shop use their own grown potatoes, best I've ever had, so tasty.

Advertised breakfast so we decided to go. Stopped doing breakfast 8 months ago but didn't remove it from adverts or menu!!!! Only fish & chips available so had seafood selection & chips... turned out to be a load of overcooked batter with poor quality random bits inside!!! Poor..do not go if you value your tastebuds.
