Gorgeous fish and chips Huge portion sizes too

This is our regular stop whenever we are around Llandudno. Staff are always friendly, food is always spot on with good portions. Would have breakfast lunch and dinner there if I could.

Had a lovely lunch from here today, the home made steak and ale pie was delicious. Accompanied by perfect chips (not a sight of oil), wonderful mushy peas and gravy. Good portion sizes and freshly prepared by lovely staff.

Best in the area we were told. We tried them and it's true. Simple as that.

Food was great but there is no place to sit away from the wind, so we ate it in a car, and if you need a toilet, you've got a problem, as there is nothing like that in a few miles radius.

My first visit to this recommended, by several folk, cafe and takeaway. Yes, there were folk queuing, but orders were quickly taken, and, with just enough time to chat to other afficiondos in the waiting area, I was called for my supper order. Checking, seasoning and wrapping each, freshly cooked dish, was quickly achieved by one of the team of friendly helpful staff. The true test though, took place at home, with everyone tucking in to what proved to be a tasty, enjoyable meal of beautifully cooked food. What a treat! Thank you Frydays!

I have been going to this chippy virtually since they opened and every time I go there I’m reminded of why it’s my favourite in the area. Yesterday was no exception, everything had been cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed by my nephew and I. Thank you so much, Frydays!

I absolutely cannot fault this chippy for the food. We travel around 8 miles to collect. I do however think the ‘phone order’ service is totally pointless. You phone up, order, & they ask you when you will be arriving. Yet when you arrive the food isn’t ready & you have to get at the back of the queue & wait behind everybody else. Totally pointless as we may as well have just gone there & queued up with everyone else. Even if they were conscious that we may not have turned up, they could have taken payment at time of order. This needs addressing.

Take away fish, chips and mushy peas - one large chips is enough for two, the medium fish is a big enough Size. Freshly cooked, tasty chips, delicious fish. We are local and visit regularly for takeaway. Only once been disappointed when the chips weren't up to usual standard but that was once in lots of visits! Just check you are getting a fresh batch of chips 🍟

These guys really made a rubbish day better today with their fabulous mini cod and chips, it was delicious! Brilliant service too, they are the best at what they do. Thank you Frydays!

Lovely people, lovely food, we had a laff about vegetarian chip's The homemade Steak and Ale pie is the best I've tried for a long time. Highly recommended

This is the first time of going to Frydays as I had not realised there was an actual fish and chip shop in this vicinity. However after a long search around I did stumble across it on Google Maps and so decided to read the reviews. Now this one comes out as being the top rated fish and chips in the localised area. That said I decided to grace them with my presence. Now I already have a favourite place that I frequent often so I am going to find it hard to actually beat. Parking is reasonable - there are a couple of places so if not too busy you will find a space (which was what I did as it was 16:30 so just before the teatime rush). Now I opted for the usual FCaMP (Fish Chips and Mushy Peas) and in the case of fish went for haddock. Now I asked about skin and was told the haddock didn’t have it (as some do keep the skin on) which was fantastic. I opted for the whole lot in one carton having the peas over the top. Now the added bonus here is that you get free wedge of lemon and a small tub of tartare sauce (excellent) which is something none of the others do as far as I’m aware. Conclusion? Well the fish was absolutely great. The batter was crisp but not too crunchy. And once breaking through the golden batter the haddock was reasonably thick and white with no trace of that slight greying edges you can get sometimes. The peas not too mushy and not too hard. Now the chips were ok. The reason for this was that they looked like they were frozen although they are not. It’s probably because they are cut slightly thinner than most fish and chip shops who cut theirs more chunky (which is what I like). However this did not detract from the overall experience as all was very tasty. The staff were great. The atmosphere was good. There is (or was) a dining area but I overheard someone asking and were told it has not been open since the Covid lockdown and might not open again. So resulting score in my opinion is this is now my 4th ranking place in this area. Well done to all at Frydays! My first experience was great!

One of the best chippies in the local area

Whilst staying close by in our caravan we decided to have a Chippy tea, we chose Fridays after reading their excellent reviews. I had their steak n ale pie, chips n gravy, my wife had just a portion of chips. Service was swift, the food was tasty, hot and plentiful all wrapped and served perfectly. What more could you want? I’d recommend their steak n ale pie, especially with their gravy.

Really excellent fish and chips. You can tell they change the oil regularly because of the taste and smell. Drove down from Llandudno twice in the week we were there. The homemade steak and ale pies are outstanding. We bought 10 to take home!

Nipped into North Wales for a bit of sea 🌊 air and Fish 🐟 & Chips. Google searched when we got to Llandudno & found Frydays in Penrhyn Bay. Lovely welcoming and friendly place. Really enjoyed our Fish, chips & peas with tartare sauce & lemon 🍋 wedge. Salt & vinegar added 😋 Delicious. Made our Saturday seaside trip really enjoyable 😋 We had a regular and a large portion. 😀

Drove down to Wales on impulse from stoke on trent as we fancied fish and chips by the sea , initially went to Llandudno but decided to go to Penryn Bay, found frydays chip shop which was brilliant, the staff were chatty and cheerful, you can eat in or take away and it's spotless, it has off road parking which is a bonus, the fish chips and peas were divine, would definitely recommend a visit, we had our meal then drove back to Stoke-on-Trent, nice to be impulsive sometimes because this place is a hidden gem, won't hesitate to vist again, fabulous

This is an 'OUTSTANDING' chippy! We have just finished our holiday in Wales and stopped at Frydays for a quick bite to eat as we leave. I had homemade steak and ale pie, the rest of my family had fish and chips, and we all had peas and gravy with it. This is the best chips, pie and battered fish we've all had in years, but it would be a crime to not mention the superb gravy, this is the best chippy gravy we've ever had, bar none! Thanks Frydays, for the great food and a delicious end to our holiday!

Wow! Came here after trying to find the best fish and chips in the area and this place truly is the best! Isn’t greasy, fish and chips well priced and the curry sauce is unreal😍 Highly recommend!

Very nice, Fish was beautiful, burger was tasty, sausage was the best in the world, so my 6 yo said, the curry sauce was lovely along with the gravy and the chips were on point, definitely go again.

Really nice fish and chips. We had cod and haddock (they don't do plaice). Good portion sizes, plenty of chips in the large for 2 people! They add a lemon wedge if you want one which is a nice touch. If I'm in the area again I would definitely go back for more!

This place is packed out with customers because it's fantastic food. Dont be surprised by the crowd outside happily waiting with a receipt in hand as u pull up. The staff get through the orders like a flash and once you've tried their food... you'll become a regular too. I have gone through the whole menu several timesm...Ive never been disappointed

We decided we would go to Rhos on Sea and we stopped off on a recommendation at Fry Days. I had haddock and chips, my wife had cod and chips and our daughter had scampi and chips which was available on the kids menu which comes with a drink. It was absolutely delicious. Nice freshly cooked crispy chips along with the nice freshly cooked battered fish too was an absolute delight. So tasty. I was sorry when it came to an end. The order was taken, cooked and delivered by friendly staff who are a credit to the business. We sat outside on the decking at clean tables with bin close by to discard our very empty boxes! I highly recommend this plaice (pun intended?!)

If we are over near Rhos on Sea or Llandudno then our family always want to get fish and chips from Frydays! Food is always freshly cooked and delicious. Portions are really generous. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻

Wow ! Amazing fish and chip shop , we were in llandudno and wanted to come away from the town a little bit for fish and chips so its less busy and didnt expect amazing quality which it definitely was ! X

First time been here and it was so great! The cod fish is soft and juicy, the outside was crispy and very thin. The taste is just fine and not salty. The homemade curry sauce is delicious and not spicy, suitable for kids as well. It should be one of the best fish and chip I tried and highly recommend👍🏻

Unable to get to chippy now living on PENRHYN Beach Estate to far to walk but we loved there fish and chips nice crispy batter and great chips, It's a pity that you couldn't have a chippy van come onto the estate park on car park especially on a Friday bet you would get plenty of customers, . Great takeaway, we get some each week, best fish n chips in area. If you want to eat in you need to book as it fills up quick. 2023 update: still best fish n chips takeaway in area in my opinion, they no longer do eat in but do have a few tables outside you can sit at.

Just had our first experience of Fry Days after a fabulous recommendation from my great aunt who lives at Penrhynside. Got to say easy parking, lovely friendly service with a smile, delicious freshly cooked fish to order, scrumpy chips and the most a-maz-ing home made curry sauce. Would certainly recommend and definitely be going there again when next up from Suffolk!

I come every Thursday with my friends and the food is absolutely lovely. I get the cheeseburger and chips and honestly, it is the best chippy. The staff are always happy with a smile on their face :) The chips are stunning every time as is the burger. Always hot and corking. It’s smashing, would definitely recommend for anyone in need of a good chip.

Best fish & chips in North Wales , highly recommend!

Asked for curry and chips and was questioned if wanted curry on top to which I said yes. Was then charged for a large curry (without my knowing) and when I added up the numbers I pointed out to the staff that 2.40 for chips and 1.40 for curry was infact 3.80 and the answer I got was "someone went to school" which I ignored but pointed out I'd been charged 4.20. I was refunded but told I received a special curry (whi h isn't written on the menu) just small and large sizes. No apology given and sarcastic infront of other customers.

We called in on the way home from a day trip in Llandudno about an hour ago. We were served by an immensely pleasant and polite young man. Had a chat to another man, he was so friendly, the whole place had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, tasty, not greasy at all. Top quality chippy, would recommend to anyone and price extremely reasonable too. Thank you!

Excellent chips, hot and crispy. Had chicken curry which was plentiful and tasty (not too spicy).

Had been recommended to go here but never got round to it for several years. They have a very slick ordering system (telephone orders accepted but give plenty of time). The whole place seems to run like clockwork. But the food is the most important thing and that is excellent. Had a large chips and 2 haddock. Both first class. Had to drive over from Llandudno (where there are dozens of chippys) but it's well worth it

Expensive for small portions. Chips pre heated and dry, burger very plain. Homemade chicken curry was very small for the cost. I would not go back
