Absolutely fantastic! I will happily be heading back again and would recommend to anyone. Really good locally sourced quality food, cooked to perfection. Cauliflower cheese with proper cheese, freshly made yorkshires and crunchy fluffy roast potatoes... generous portions as well. As for the staff they are amazing. I called to ask about bringing a cake, not a problem at all but even better they will make a cake for you and oh my gosh what a delicious cake it was. Light and spongy with fresh fruit garnish, they even recommended where i could get a cake topper too. Plus they brought the cake out with candles after going along with the ruse by offering us the dessert menu. They also let us sneakily pay the bill before our Dad had the chance.

The Friar Street Kitchen is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated as a valued customer and are looked after. The roast pork belly was the best I’ve had in a VERY long time, and you can tell has been made with real care. Even without the additions of cauliflower cheese or pigs in blankets, the portions are definitely filling, and each element tastes epic. Would heartily recommend.

Fantastic Roast in the Heart of Worcester, with really high quality meats and unlimited gravy.

First visit last night. 5 star rating all round. Everything cooked fresh. Chicken skillet delicious. First class chicken used. No scrimping on quality produce! Breads cooked on premises and the pesto out of this world! Staff super friendly! It’s a must to go there. We certainly will be back……❤️

Had a wonderful roast here today. Food and service was absolutely amazing.

Went for pre Christmas meet up with family. Had to book well in advance and take a 6.30pm booking but it was worth it. Had the hot cheeseboard sharing platter and it was delicious, especially the blue cheese, could have just eaten that all night!! Good portion sizes too, easily enough for 3 as a starter. Mains I had beef bourguignon with roasted new potatoes, again beautifully cooked, it just melted in your mouth. Other dishes included the Chargrilled Chicken Skillet which was apparently equally superb, succulent and very tasty. Drinks were lovely and the service was excellent, friendly, polite and very efficient without being hurried. Wasn't cheap but given the quality and provenance of the ingredients, I would say good value for money. A real gem in Worcester restaurant scene.

After reading positive reviews, I booked dinner at the restaurant. It did not disappoint. The menu choice was well varied, the food was excellent and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend if you happen to be in Worcester.

Sad it wasn't all I expected. Starters were good however oil needs changing tasted old on deep fried items. Manager admitted chef got overwhelmed burgers were dreadful dry and burnt bun. If you want steak and chips, chips are extra! Chips were under cooked soggy tasteless and thst old oil taste reared it head again. To be honest I felt mains were overpriced as you had to add vegetables chips and pay extra. An old school steak dinner came with peas tomato onion rings mushrooms none as extra. It's not worth 29 pound for steak and sprinkle rocket leaves. Puddings were pleasant.

Had lunch today coconut lime chicken and sweet potato with feta, absolutely gorgeous. If you're in Worcester it's a must. Really tasty and would highly recommend 😋 👌

Nothing to fault. Ambience, host, food. Just amazing. We are usually quite highly critical foodies, but this was seriously the best steak we have ever had.

We visited specifically for the picnic bench afternoon tea having seen pictures and great reviews online, and we weren’t disappointed!! My husband and I would say it’s the best afternoon tea we’ve ever had, everything was homemade, fresh and delicious!! Fab choice of wine on the menu and the hostess was just lovely, friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be back thank you.

Returned with friends for 1st time in a few years but will return regularly. Tried to get a table but fully booked on Friday evening. They then rang me as we were on way elsewhere as they had a cancellation so a table was now free. Leapt at the chance. We were greeted like long lost friends, ushered to a lovely table in the fireplace and had a superbly enjoyable meal of locally sourced ingredients and well priced bottle of not local Provence Rose! The service throughout was excellent and they make you feel welcome & your business appreciated. A top restaurant with the best warmth of service & I'll be back next time in Worcester.

We had dinner at Friar Street Kitchen to celebrate my wife's and son's birthdays. I am struggling to find superlatives that are appropriate or that don't sound too gushing. I'm also struggling to find a single criticism of the evening. The food was beautiful, the Hot Cheese Board to start was extraordinary, but don't be fooled into thinking that you'll finish it, it's a two, three or even four person sharing dish. The steaks were excellent, Pulled Pork Burger was amazing too. The service and welcome that we enjoyed was faultless, kind and friendly and good humoured. This is good and unpretentious food, prepared by people who care about the customer and their experience, but without fanfares or fuss. We absolutely will be going back!

Truly wonderful. It was my birthday and arrived to balloons on the table and finished with a candle in my dessert. Garlic prawns to start, chicken sizzler for main and the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had for dessert. The hot cheese sharing platter looked amazing. Highly recommend.

Visited with a group of friends earlier this month for the first time, and it definitely won't be our last! Cheeseboard starter knocked it out of the park right away, followed by some of the best steaks we've ever had! The wine taster was a lovely touch too for when we couldn't agree on wine. Unfortunately we were too stuffed for puddings, but that's all the more reason to come back! Speedy, efficient service with smiles and good knowledge of the menu to cater to our celiac friend (amazing options for gluten free). Thank you for a fantastic evening, great team ❤️

Have been there a number of times and have nothing but high praise until today , mains which where the burger and spring chicken kebab were good 👍 how ever the sides of chips and onion rings were very greasy and the Mac cheese were dreadful, service was good and friendly as always.

Wow! We have been wanting to visit here for such a long time and finally we made it. The restaurant itself is very small, cosy and just so welcoming. The two girls made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the start, we shared a hot cheeseboard followed by an absolutely incredible fillet steak, shared a bottle of South African Pinotage and just had the most memorable evening. We haven’t had such great food and service in such a long time it really was worth the wait. Thank you so, so much. We can’t wait to return!
