Great spot, huge selection ( maybe too many?) cocktails. The ones we tried were excellent. The musics good but the atmosphere was a little flat, although were were there on a Wednesday.

We entered 10 minutes after the supposed opening time, only to be told by the barman that he wasn't ready and we'd have to wait outside. After waiting for 10mins outside, we were allowed to reenter. Cocktails are good and prices fair for the area.

Been here a few times. Located in a basement, down a metal staircase from the street level.Really groovy vibe with its concrete walls and pieces of art.A large choice of cocktails, reasonably priced. Some very nice tasting ones. Staff are always friendly and helpful. It can get very very busy on the Friday/Saturday evenings. Definitely one of my favourite cocktail bars in London.

Great drinks and even better atmosphere. The lighting upstairs could be improved. Less spot lights in the flash and nicer table lights

As cocktail lovers, this was our favorite cocktail experience in London. Friendly and plenty skilled. No snobbery. Reasonable prices. Just as it all should be.

Seeking refuge from the pouring rain, we ventured into this pub on a dreary Saturday afternoon. Hoping to warm up with a rich and comforting hot chocolate, we ordered three delectable mugs. However, as we eagerly took a sip, our disappointment was palpable. Despite their chocolatey appearance, the drinks were devoid of any chocolate flavour. Their blandness was far from the velvety, decadent treat we had anticipated. Our hopes dashed, and we reluctantly left the cups untouched. The price charged doesn't correspond to the quality. Disappointing!

Been here a few times, always had a good experience! The bar staff is clearly well skilled and the cocktails are not only delicious but also reasonably priced (for London). If there is one thing that could be improved is that the music is always loud, really too loud.

One of the best coctail bar in London. Like and atmosphere and the coctail menu. This time we had classic daiquiri and zombie. Both were good as expected. Got daiquiri with the happy hour price

Had a spritz for 7,50£ thanks to the happy hour. It was well made. Unfortunately they don’t share the Wi-Fi which is a shame specially because the bar is underground.

This was our favourite place 15 years ago when we were student in local university, the classic drinks were still here and also taste exactly the same! We were so happy it is still opened, definitely recommend if you are in the area!

First visit last night. They have a large selection of cocktails to choose from and the bar staff know thier stuff. They can also make you whatever you want off-menu. Great service and communication from the bar staff. Added bonus of a bar dog greeting everyone as they came in. Great cocktails. Will definitely go back.

Love this secret gem, the cocktails are cheap for London standsrts, and they can make you your own per request. The atmosphere is quite literaly "underground", so I think a lot of people who want to get away from the buzz of the city and slip into a dim and cool atmosphere will like it.

Freud Bar is an establishment for a reason. Everything about the place is cool: the art (do not miss!!), the music, the bar staff, and the drinks. The quality of the drinks, especially for the price (£9-11) and the location, is unbelievable. 10/10 would visit again (and again)!

Savage staff - very unfriendly to customers. I'd really recommend visiting here to watch them at work - it's a jaw-dropping show seeing how customers get treated by the bar staff.

I had the best night of my life here 8 years ago. I visited again while in London last week and had an absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced cocktail (and it was a good size too!). Great atmosphere both up and downstairs with comfortable seating, good music, and friendly/helpful bartenders! Can’t wait to be back again!

Been coming here for quite a long time now, love the cocktails, the atmosphere and the staff. Great little venue, would recommend if you want something a little less touristy.

Not a glam place. But good, relaxed atmosphere. Very central location. Interesting venue. Looks like nothing much from the outside and as you come in upstairs. But at the back of the bar there is a narrow staircase that leads you downstairs which opens up a new world. Underground DJ and bar. Hidden gem. Berlin vibes in London.

Nice drinks, nice vibe, relax atmosphere, New York style, dog is called dog - owner/manager (unconfirmed) serial killer vibes - wouldn't say he is the most friendly. No beer on tap.

Good cocktails but I discovered that bar staff refused to move the candles at the edge of the bar out of the way even after someone’s hair caught on fire while I was there. Especially as it seemed they would be more of a hazard as people drank more and the place got more crowded. A little disappointed to find out that they are more concerned about their aesthetic than the safety of their patrons!

New York style bar in Central London with an enormous selection of cocktails. Minimalist design, unpretentious crowd, Manhattan chic.

This review is really about the 10% service charge. I was not greeted , I had to wait in a queue on tiny steps leading to a small bar , then I had to carry my drinks to the table. As I waited I tried to justify the charge, with perhaps premium spirits etc , nothing of the sorts! Bog standard and not good value for money. After a second round and asking the guy to provide me with the service (due to the charge) him and a barmaid went on and on about how the service they provide is clearing the tables etc etc , so I have now removed 2 stars and leave them with the 1 start for making cold drinks.

Been at this wonderful bar yesterday for couple of drinks and I was positively surprised about the amazing vibes and the unbelievable tasty cocktails done by the staff ( especially the Italian guy with the rainbow hat ) !! Will be back soon 👌🏼🍸💯

I loved this place. The cactus cocktail is delicious! Nice vibe downstairs and great a service especially by the Lebanese barwoman! I recommend it!

For the last 2 decades best cocktails at good prices

Mojito made not following the menu spec and the barman never acknowledged this prior to making it. The ground floor bar menu is truncated too, there's a bigger menu downstairs but no printed menus to read at the tables. Cool atmosphere, comfy seating

Love this bar! Cocktails get up to about 9.50 at most so not one of the most expensive places. Staff know what they're doing and can modify and recommend based on your tastes. I'm a big fan of the cement industrial look and the art on the walls changes regularly. Quite an untapped gem in the middle of London just off Seven Dials. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, great quality, and great service (very friendly), also very affordable! Perfect amount of salt, cooked well and fresh. And is especially good for people that are sensitive to the smell of seafood, this had little to no scent at all. Was truly great!

Nice vibe, non-expensive prices and a wide variety of cocktail options. Finding a seat would only be difficult at peak times, this is a cozy environment to have a couple of drinks.

Stumbled on here by accident and found a lovely little cocktail bar. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and pretty good prices for Central London. Tried a good variety of the menu and enjoyed everything we had. If we're ever back in London again this will be on the to do list.

Still got a monster barely eligible cocktail menu on a blackboard behind the bar, dingy, sweaty dive bar still frequented mainly by students and some brave tourists. The cocktails are still great especially during happy hour, 5 to 7pm.

This is my first review. The bar is a super cool place. Was recommended it by a local and checked it out. When we went in, we noticed the bartender was from the U.S., which we were too. We just mentioned that we were from there as well and as soon as we did, she became very rude. We ordered drinks and asked where she was from, she said "America" twice and then any time we tried to talk to her afterwards she ignored us entirely. We would have ordered more drinks and stayed had she not blown us off. I would absolutely go back if she weren't there. She was friendly to anyone who wasn't american there. This was the first time on our trip after 10 days that anyone was rude to us and it was unprovoked.
