The last of the great caffs. I've known this place for over a decade and recently have been eating here every week. Franx is that rare gem of old school cafés with a huge menu of hot and cold food at a fair price. The quality is decent, the service speedy and efficient, but what most people don't know is that it's so much more than a greasy spoon! I go here twice a week and mostly eat their brilliant salad boxes. Tell me where in London you can sit down for a whole plate of salad and Chicken for under a tenner? They also do brilliant paninis and of course a decent fry up. Long may it continue!

AVOID ! HAIR FOUND TWICE IN SEVERAL VISITS. WHEN I INFORMED THE COOK AND HE WAS VERY RUDE AND SAID, I SHOULD HAVE NOT COME BACK AFTER THE FIRST TIME.

A really good place for eat home made food and English food, the potatoes jacket are amazing and bigger. Excelente lugar para comer rápido bueno y barato, las papas rellenas espectaculares y los escalopines crujiente por juega y jugosos por dentro. Repetiré sin duda. El punto malo es que no hay baños y si andas todo el día de turismo te hace falta.

My wife wanted an English breakfast, and that is what she got... beans and all... she loved it. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich, which was good, I just kept forgetting that english bacon is not American bacon

Sad to see all the Italian cafes gone from around here , but this is a good replacement. Reasonably priced, good food. Will come again.

Great little breakfast spot with about 15 seats Inside and 20 out. Daniella is quick to serve. Set menu quick good food at affordable rates. We ate her 8o% of out time in London just to start the day off quickly. No frills, a working class breakfast spot. It took us less than a 1/2 hour each day to have an English breakfast and coffee and off to see the sights. Less than £20 for 2. Perfect.

Wow, these guys know how to run a cafe in busy central. Was greeted right away when I entered, ordered at the counter promptly, and was invited to take a seat. I swear that the toast and tea came in under 5 minutes and the whole breakfast in definitely less then 5 after that. I added the black pudding to one of the breakfast sets and the total was just over a tenner (under without). Very good quality English breakfast, one of the better ones I’ve had and perhaps the best one I’ve had this central. Great for a rainy day, cheers and thank you very much.

The place to go for an authentic English breakfast. Decent, but not fancy. Good service and tasty food that will keep you filled for hours.

The food was amazing and really well priced, the portions are great and the service was superb. My favourite place to eat in this area.

Lovely bacon sandwich nice and crispy. Good traditional cappuccino which wasn’t too scalding hot, so rare in cafes nowadays. Next time I will try an English breakfast. The inside of the cafe doesn’t smell too much of oil too.

I sat in, we had excellent service and excellent food. the portions were the right size and for the prices were excellent, not just for the Center of London but good even for outside of London. Would defiantly recommend.

We stumbled across this little gem and received a friendly welcome. We both had a full English and it was lovely and great value too. Would definately recommend.

Full English breakfast très correct incluant le classique breakfast tea pour un prix imbattable qu'il est difficile de retrouver ailleurs avec les conséquences cumulées du brexit, de la covid et de la guerre en Ukraind (£9.5 service inclus en 2023 - supplément de £0.5 pour avoir un autre thé comme par exemple au citron servi avec des morceaux de citron). A ce prix là ce n'est bien sûr pas le meilleur Full English breakfast, mais l'assiette est bien remplie et faite à la minute avec des produits corrects. Service impeccable. Établissement familial apparemment. Seulement quelques tables à l'intérieur (petit et pas de déco), mais il y a quelques tables en terrasse donnant sur une rue agréable.

Cerrado. Nos hemos dado el paseo para nada. En Google indicaba abierto. Aunque una vez allí el aspecto de la fachada era espantoso.

Nice warm food and friendly staff!

I stumbled upon Franx this morning while I was out for an early morning stroll. Not many places were open and I was quite hungry so I decided to pop in and I'm so glad I did! I was met with the friendliest greeting I've experienced in London so far by Hussein who is an excellent multi-tasker as he carried on with his restaurant duties while offering up the most interesting conversation. The food was nothing less than excellent! I had a wonderful English breakfast and for a great price! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor a stop in. You won't be disappointed!

During our stay in London we went there every morning to get breakfast. The staff was nice, the food was served quickly, and it also tasted good.

Przepyszne, chrupiące kanapki - ogromny wybór. W dodatku w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji i cenie 🥪 przemiła obsługa, a pan właściciel ma nawet menu po polsku, bo Polacy chętnie tu zaglądają - trudno się dziwić 😉 gorąco polecam! 😍

Zdecydowanie warto odwiedzić to miesjce 🥰 miła obsługa, bardzo szybko dostaje się swoje zamówienie, a do tego można usiąść przy stoliku i zjeść w spokoju. 6 funtów za ogromną kanapkę wypełniona po brzegi dodatkami to super opcja na syty lunch a nawet obiad. Świeże składniki, wszystko od podstaw przygotowywane na miejscu. Niby fast food, ale dużo lżejszy, smaczniejszy niż KFC czy McDonald's :)

Been in a few times now and great value for money..... Quick, friendly service and reasonably priced....... I didn't realise I'd dropped and ear ring till one of the gentlemen came after us to give it back to me.....exceptional service!

Wonderful and friendly staff makes their delicious food even better. The full English breakfast is fantastic. Coffee's great too and you won't go wrong with the traditional tea with milk. Open early for breakfast which is nice when that jet lag hits. Repeat visitor on our trip and highly recommend Franx to anyone visiting Covent garden area for breakfast or lunch.

I've been coming here for many years as a courier. I like their cooked food. The menu is quite varied and it's not as reasonably priced as it used to be. Served by friendly staff. Take away or eat in (slightly more expensive) it's what a cafe should be.

Proper food simply cooked. Good value for location. Fab breakfasts, lunch. Homemade pasta, salads etc popular , small and Closes at 16:00 are only problem.

Frank's is your lovely neighbourhood cafe. Frank the owner is very charming with customers, rest of the crew is pretty cold and unwelcoming. The food is the cafe menu you would expect, mostly premade taken out of a counter when someone orders. Acceptable quality in general, overpriced for what it is. I always go for the breakfast bap, which is great value for money and made with fresh fried egg, which is a bonus nowadays.

I have been frequenting Franx Cafe for about 35 years. The owner, that being Frank, is an exceptional cafe owner. One of those rare breed that actually care about their customers and are devastated if something goes wrong. Granted, this is cafe food and sandwiches but this place is the Hilton of cafes in a highly competitive market. You have to be good to have survived that long.

The best cafe around, worth a visit.

I had the Arrabatia pasta here a couple of days ago. Honestly? One of my top five pasta dishes ever eaten in London. And it was £5.95. Go here!

Usual speedy, efficient and polite service. Foods great and reasonably priced for location. I don't eat here regularly, but have popped in from time to time over the past 15 years and have never been disappointed

Fantastic little proper cafe. Reasonably priced and the food is always enjoyable.

Went there today with my fiance, was possibly the best English Breakfast we had, the service was amazing and waiting time was very little, we were seated immediately, everyone was wearing masks and following the social distancing practices.

I use to like this place but theirs hygienic standards drop so I’m not very often eating over there. Shame.

Barato y más para la zona en la que esta. Buena comida y abundante. De batalla. Buenos desayunos. Les gustan los extranjeros, el personal es amable y eficiente. Es pequeño, si vais en un grupo numeroso os tendréis que sentar por separado. Si os agobian los sitios pequeños, no es vuestro sitio. Pero si os gusta un sitio acogedor, con comida sabrosa y abundante, es perfecto

Luckily, I always manage to find myself near Franx when I'm need of a Full English fix! Coming in at £5.95 for bacon, egg, sausage beans or tomato, toast and tea in the West End, that's amazing value! Lovely staff and always the same, which is lovely and reassuring even if it's been years between visits.

Had a hot sandwich there every morning for the four days I spent in London! So you can imagine it's good :)) Also being a student the prices were perfect for my budget!
