Frankie & Benny's in Aberdeen City

Lovely meal. Served very quickly although restaurant was very busy. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was piping hot and delicious. Oreo ice cream shake was delicious. Very reasonably priced meal with a nice atmosphere.

Ordered coffee with hot milk , came with cold. Eggs Benedict were served cold , sent it back ,when it arrived back at my table I must have set the cook as it was burnt ,seemed like it was thrown in the deep fat fryer. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to them ,

Between trains, this was a great option for me when travelling alone. Quick service, tasty food, great deal - "Frankie's fiver"! Lovely server called Abbey 😊

Ordered the purple rain.... Beautifully made!!! While waited for my taxi . As that was missed as I enjoyed this cocktail so much I ordered the strawberry daiquiri.... Lush... Went in for breakfast. Pretty disappointing to be honest. It filled a hole and the hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was nice, but the muffin was cold and not toasted through, we had bacon that was flat out cold and the toast appeared to only have been toasted on one side?? Struggled to get somewhere for breakfast in Union Square, but won’t be using this again.

Had a wonderful experince here tonight for a family meal. I was a bit sceptical as my last visit was years ago and I didn't rate it, but was pleasently surprised. All the staff were lovely and engaged with our baby which kept him entertained! Food was good and plentiful, but the biggest stregnth was the hostess with the mostest Will! Friendly, funny and attentive , couldn't have asked for more. Will definately be back!

Was looking forward to a breakfast. Waited for a bit to be seated, a man eventually came and told us they are not taking any tables for another 15 minutes?! His manner irritated me, as if he needed to get rid of us as soon as possible as we were a nuisance, no apology. We were going to go back in 15 minutes but then thought why should we when we felt so unwelcome. So we went to brewdog and so glad we did as the food and service were great and so friendly.

Popped in here for dessert and wine. Lovely desserts and friendly, welcoming service. Very good value compared to other restaurants in the mall.

New York BBQ Chicken. This plate of food arrived at our table in just over 5mins from ordering. Obviously their food is pre-cooked and kept warm under a bain marie or microwaved. The chicken was tasteless and dry, literally looked like it had travelled by boat straight from New York. The baked potato was equally dry, arrived spread wide open and actually had a brown tinge from being under heat. Bit into the sweetcorn which was just like mush, completely overcooked. I returned the whole plate and heard the chef say "what do they expect from chicken?" and laughed. I've seen better culinary skills in McDonalds. Food was unfit for human consumption, I wouldn't have given it to my dog. Abysmal food, service and attitude!!! All this for £16.70???? Outrageous!!!

My 6 year year old daughter and I went for lunch on Monday. 15 mins wait before anyone took our order. Starter of garlic pizza bread to share arrived fairly quickly and was tasty enough. We waited at least another 40 mins to receive our main course, meanwhile the dirty plates from our starter still sat at the table. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and these were fairly average. I did think the little bambinochino was a nice option for the kids to have as my daughter loved it. Overall I would have rated it as an average experience but the service turned it into below average and made it feel like more of a chore and wishing we had gone to Burger King. Definite failing of management for not organising enough cover as they only had 2 servers on. Won't be back in a hurry.

Very disappointed with the breakfast.Firstly it came without the eggs.Told the waitress and she took the plate away then a waiter came back with the plate but still no eggs.I asked where they were to be told that I could eat what was there and he would bring the eggs later.Eh no they were supposed to be on the plate to start with.Again the plate was taken away and back it came with eggs this time but with all the back and forward the rest of the meal wasn't very hot.No apology or offer of a fresh meal.Will definitely not be returning.

Went for my birthday meal and it was the worst ever experience I have ever gotten first they charge extra on drinks that never came to the table and even worse still one of the staff kept staring at us kept watching every move we made I will not be coming back if that is the experience I get definitely not

Everything bland and no flavour. When it came to the getting the bill it was overcharged. That got sorted then we got out of the place we were charged 6.10 for one lager shandy. That is a ridiculous price. Won't be going back

Arrive here at ~ 4pm on a cold Saturday afternoon. We asked for a table for 6 and were promptly seated. The food was average and the menu lacked inspiration. Most of us had burgers which were ok at beast.

Our drinks order was asked for and taken as we sat down. When our drinks arrived we ordered two vegan breakfasts from the menu and at this point we were told these were not available. Neither were the vegetarian breakfasts. Apparently they were out of vegan and vegetarian sausages. At no point were we offered the option of adapting either breakfast e.g. extra hash brown or toast instead of sausage. If we had been told before we ordered our drinks we would have left. Shockingly poor customer service in an almost empty restaurant- so no excuses about being too busy etc. We won’t bother with this place again. Found a fabulous vegan street food van on the beach front, up near the harbour end.

Shown to our seats. Call me old fashioned but I like to be asked/told a waiter/waitress will be along soon. No menu basically thrown on table, and he was gone.... served by a lovely waitress who we could not fault. However when the food arrived hot dog and chips was luke warm. Bless the waitress we did get a discount. Still it spoiled the evening. Then had to wait which seemed an enterity for 2yr old desert she was getting more bored and fidgety due to waiting so long. Not the best experience at all. Do not think we will hurry back. Shame as the food used to be so good

Worse place I've eatten ! Got served my meal on a baking tray with a sheet of frankie and benny's under my food ended up leaving most of my meal as I was eatting paper aswell ! Really disappointed

Prices are eye watering, considering most menu items are glorified microwave meals. Menu in years past used to be better, more extensive and more authentic to the NYC theme. Deals don't run to a family-friendly timetable. Absolutely not our first choice.

Waiting staff are really helpful and friendly. The cooking staff can be quite aggressive towards them which isn't great in an open service area. We had to wait quite a bit of time to be served, but this was down to lack of staff.

Went for pre-cinema breakfast with the kids. Coffee was luke warm, poached eggs were over cooked and luke warm (guessing they were pre batch cooked and sitting for a while), muffins were cold. F&Bs use to be so good & consistent, what's happened? 👎👎👎

We were booked for 7.30pm, grandson's 11th birthday. Main course was fine but when we wanted to order dessert (8.30) we were told kitchen was closed and staff leaving. No warning to let us order in advance. Disappointing.

This is an Italian Restaurant situated in the Union Square Shopping Centre in the city centre of Aberdeen.There is plenty of pizza and pasta dishes to choose from.The prices are what you would expect in the city centre.This is a busy restaurant and is very hard to get staff to see you waiting to be Seated.Then more waiting to take your order.The food was good and hot.The staff were fairly friendly but felt rushed to pay.Overall hit and miss.

4 of us went for lunch on an afternoon. Service was quite slow, but eventually made it to our table! Ordered our food & drinks & waited another 15 mins about, for it. Food was ok, nothing special. Drinks (4 x soft) came but OMG...

Service was very slow, staff did not seem to care. Took half an hour to receive drinks to the table and food arrived mostly cold. Chips/onion rings were dire. Steak was passable. We wont be back.

Staff were very friendly. Food was really good. Fries were great. Cheesy Mac and cheese burger was really good and my husband had a classic cheese burger which he enjoyed. And our 11 year old had a pizza off the main menu and loved it. Great experience all round.

I was in Aberdeen for a work event in June 2022, and this restaurant was handy for dinner! I bought a vegan meal, fizzy drink and dessert. Staff were courteous.

Let down on Fathers Day. Made a booking 9 days ago for 7 adults for breakfast on Fathers Day. Received a call 40 minutes before we were due to arrive saying they no longer do breakfast! They only check bookings on the day apparently. It is not clear on the website. You can choose the breakfast menu in the drop down. People travelling from 4 different households. Not easy to contact everyone to re-arrange. Really poor service, especially with it being Fathers Day. 11am is a bit early for lunch so gone elsewhere. F&Bs has been a regular venue for family get togethers over the years so very disappointed.

Service fine got charged for chips I didn't receive even though I asked for them and when I asked waitress she told me she hadn't put it though and apologised that was fine as there was plenty of food so I said it was fine yet I was charged for it 😅 was only £4 but think a little more attention is needed from servers especially in this day and age with the cost of living rising.

Brilliant place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Lovely and friendly staff and a great selection of dishes for those with various dietary requirements. They serve great vegan pizza and I'm obsessed with their ice cream sundaes and cookie dough dessert!

Staff were nice, wasn't overly busy when we were there. Had calamari, meatballs and another starter which were nice, main courses were couple of hot dogs, pizza and bolognese, portions were more than enough (although pizza could have been a bit bigger). I would say that the food was over priced for what it was, but that's the franchise. If looking for simple, standard food then you can't go wrong.

Very nice restaurant and very pleasant staff in a nice clean setting. We all had burgers and chips and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We always enjoy eating here.

Hopeless bunch. This is the second place at the Aberdeen beach where I have experienced this. I walked in there with my wife and 7 year old son and after we were shown a table, we were then completely ignored. No one even bothered to come and take our drinks orders. Whereas people just walk in and get their drinks orders taken. This is a growing problem. Not sure if it's a colour thing but they were completely unperturbed by the fact that we hadn't been served. They even tried to avoid eye contact whenever we try to get their attention. We eventually had to leave the restaurant. Not recommended if you are a black or mixed family. You'll regret it. Absolutely useless.

When we arrived it didn't look like the restaurant was open. Very dark and gloomy. The food was delicious but portion a bit large. Had to wait several minutes for someone to come so we could pay.

Granddaughter had the Newyorker without the ribs it was so hard it landed on the floor when she tried to put a bit on her fork

Lovely waiters and good food, only issue was the misleading deals that instead of giving us 60% off as the deal said, instead offering us 30% off, after having insisted that everything we had ordered would have worked with the deal. Misleading, but alright overall.

The service was good, however, the burger i ordered was dry and burnt. We had to wait 20 minutes between our starter and main course. The restaurant wasn't busy, less than half the tables were occupied. The poor waitress told us that she would get the manager to come and see us. Never happened. However, the manager did authorise the price of the burger to be deducted from the bill. A lady behind us fell as she was leaving, everyone near the lady moved to help her but she managed to get up by herself from the floor, but the staff never went anywhere near her. Really disappointing in what was a good restaurant.

This place used to be great a few years ago but now is probably the worst place to eat in Aberdeen, went with my kids for dinner, our food was Luke warm, my ribs was cold, I sent back they then brought back to me the same ribs maybe 5min later totally burned, when the brought back I sat there waiting to get the waiter so he couldn’t bring me new cutlery as I didn’t had any. The place was practically empty but yet service was poor. I tried to remove the black bits because I was so hungry, I got to half before I had to run to the toilet and puke everything. I told the waiter that I just vomited my dinner, I then asked for our bill and got a whopping 30% discount for my burned puked ribs, I couldn’t believe, I was so exhausted after such a busy day and now unwell that I didn’t had the strength to complain anymore and decided to just get our stuff and leave, I will never go back there again, this place went from (our main place to eat a few years ago) to (I can never eat there or eat ribs ever again 🤢) absolutely disgusting. Wish I could give a 0 starts

We came in for a coffee and dessert. Service was quick and efficient and our treats (New York and Toblerone cheesecakes, chocolate fudge cake) were delicious.

Average at best. Food was cold, returned to kitchen and fresh requested. Fresh arrived but still not piping hot. Service was ok and waitress was lovely.

Ended up having to go to the bar to ask for the bill and go elsewhere. Plenty staff walked past but would not acknowledge us. Incl manager.

My son went here with his cousin & her friends it took thirty minutes to get served, the food was cold when it came, they had to remind a server they hadn't brought all of there order and my son had a hair in his food very poor service & standard I told my son he should have complained but there teenager's & didn't like to but I've told him next time to complain I sure would have.

Came here with family after the cinema since we'd heard good things and we're glad we did. It was quiet, so no wait for a table. The menu had quite a variety to work from, pizzas, burgers, pasta and more! I forgot to take food pictures since it looked so good when it arrived that we started eating straight away :-) My son was a bit disappointed in his burger, since he's used to having a choice of getting it Medium and it came well done by default.

Came here for dinner. There was a special 3 course Xmas meal on 3 courses for £18. The starter I ha ravioli it was a bit strange though as the pasty was crispy like it had been fried not my taste however the turkey with Mac and cheese main surprised me as it was rather good perfectly seasoned and I could also taste herbs in there to tasted like sage unusual but good. I then sat a a while as it appeared they had forgotten my desert. Twice I was asked if I had had it yet to which I could only reply no then I was told they were out of that particular dessert and would I accept another to which I said yes and it too was nice when it arrived. I then had to wait for my coffee. All in all the bill came to £25.10 which is fantastic value for money. Surroundings were nice comfortable seating and a great layout inside.

It's really nice. A good variety. Killer milkshakes. Quite a few options on the kids meal. Reasonably priced. Quick service and kind waiters. Cooking itself is pretty good and filling. Next to a ton of nice attractions. One comment is that it's quite busy. Pretty good overall.

First time we have visited F&B's in at least 4 years, last time was at Beach restaurant (other side of Aberdeen). Mentioned we required a Gluten-Free menu - was given a physical copy and waitress provided an iPad with a webpage, which seemed odd since...

Lovely meal , took great care in the fact that i am allergic to mustard and were able to give me a menu of things with no mustard and the service was very good...... only bad thing was my sons mac and cheese was as cold as my fridge ! They did sort in out but by that time the rest of us were nearly finished ..... but over all nice meal and service

Service was atrocious 1family member had to put ribs back because they were dry and tough and another family member ended with food poisoning with there chicken burger
