After hearing so much about the Guinness servings here. I just have to visit. Am only about ten miles away so not far, haven't been here before. Well where do I start. Firstly the barman was on top of his game, friendly, helpful and informative without being overwhelming π... had three pints of lovely Guinness, each one with its personalised (Owens) touch of class flavour and history, can't remember getting anything like it before, amazing place and brilliant stout β¨οΈβ¨οΈ

Absolutely loved this small and very cosy pub. The landlord Damian and Lester made us very welcome and provided us with a lovely cheese board. Very popular with the locals and tourists alike with a number of "rooms" for sitting having a chat supping a beer and taking in the atmosphere. The pub is home to a beautiful Game of Thrones door. There is on street parking right outside and a BBQ area out back. I hope to return to sample the BBQ produce in the summer. Make sure you take the time to vist this pub on your vist to the Sperrin's, the North Coast, Derry/Londonderry. You will not be disappointed.

So we took a stop into this traditional Irish pub to view one of their Game of Thrones doors, made from one of the trees from The Dark Hedges, and it was one of the best places we visited during our whole trip. The bar man was very genuine and we had a great talk about the series itself. If you're lucky enough you may even bump into one of the extras from the series, as we did. If you're reading this I would definitely recommend popping in for a pint or two and taking in some of the local knowledge, especially if you're a GOT fan.

Was instantaneously smitten with this place and the 3rd gen Owens that was the barkeep the night I came in. I had found out about this place because I was on the Game of Thrones Door tour and they have Door#5. The Door itself is incredible and well worth the visit, but more importantly, this pub is very old school Irish and you will legit feel like you stepped back in time! Terry, the 3rd gen Owens, running it when I came in, was so incredibly gracious to not only share the story behind their door, but shared the amazing family history behind the pub including his grandfather who started it! The building it is in was built in 1852 as well...so if you are a history nerd like me, you will love it for that fact alone! They have a great draught beer selection and I was so happy to grab a very reasonably priced pint and sit in front of the fireplace (yes, they have a fireplace!) on a very chilly Limavady evening and chat w/some of locals. If I ever find myself in County Derry again, I will be making a beeline for this place!

We had the most amazing time during our recent trip to Derry. One of the most memorable was our visit to Owen's Bar. The warm welcome not only from the blazing fire but from the other customers and the wpnderful staff! The 'feel'is actually indescribable, you have to experience the energy coupled with the atmosphere, the beautiful homely surroundings, the Lord of the Rings door was an extra bonus. Everything about out time at Owen's Bar demonstrated what hospitable, kind, welcoming and fun people the Irish are. Frank would indeed be proud of the way his legacy continues. My God daughter saw shown how to pull a pint of guiness and as she couldn't drink it, much to my pleasure; I did! Sitting in the back room sharing fish and chips from across the road, laughing and talking with complete strangers was a touching experience. We were the only ones from London and felt our other differences were embraced and in fact celebrated. Thank you to everyone who made our visit to Owen'Bar so very special. I would return in a heart beat, to simply sit in the back room, in front of the fire surrounded by history, lovely people and drinking another pint of guiness! A must visit, we made friends who I feel we will keep in touch with, what a heart warming time. I know Frank can RIP with the knowledge that the family feel and love radiates through the pub. Thank you Mark, not just for the fish and chips but for blessing us with wonderful memories of beautiful Ireland.

We were just off the plane at Belfast, this was our second stop of the day after the dark hedges. There is a game of thrones door here, we ended up getting to 6 of the 10 that were scattered around Northern Ireland pubs, and I can say this one is the best.... The design of the door was stunning, but what also made it better was the owner of the pub a really nice chap, he came over to us greeting us warmly as we were taking pictures of the door, he proceeded to educate us about how the doors were made and the moment he found out his lovely little pub was chosen to host one, it was a fascinating story, one I would recommend to anyone, he was so friendly that he offered to get us to follow him in his car to a more scenic road to our next destination, he was a really nice guy, I will definitely be heading back to this place when I return to Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland has quickly become the home of Game Of Thrones with fans flocking here to spot the famous filming locations. So, after Storm Gertrude destroyed trees at the Dark Hedges, which served as the backdrop for the Kingsroad in the hit HBO series, an idea was formed to turn the disaster into a tourism opportunity. Ten intricately carved doors, depicting moments inspired by the sixth season, were carved from trees blown down in the storm. Here: One of the most iconic locations, Downhill Beach is an 11km stretch of sand and surf located on the Causeway Coast and used in Season 2 Episode 1 as Dragonstone. This magnificent location is home to Mussenden β a tiny temple perched dramatically on a 120ft cliff top, high above the Atlantic Ocean. Binevenagh marks the western extent of the Antrim Plateau and was the shooting location for the Dothraki Grasslands in Season 5 Episode 10.

Excellent food and very friendly service. Lovely calm atmosphere in the restaurant, no loud music. Limited menu but plenty of choice for the main course, however, from a choice of 3 starters, 2 of them were soup. I did have the seafood soup and it was really delicious. Again there were 3 desserts and 2 of them were ice cream. We will definitely return as we all enjoyed our meal.

Love this place tucked away behind Downhill forest. Does the best coffee and also so many lovely treats. The atmosphere is serene and to top it off you can sit out the back surrounded by peacocks. I usually attend with my partner but would also bring my nieces as they love feeding the peacocks and the drinking yummy hot chocolates. Dan, Rebekah and the rest of the team always welcome us with the biggest smiles. Definitely a must go for tourists (&locals) visiting the North Coast - no other place like it. oh and itβs also dog friendly :)
