Had fish and chips from here on Saturday the 30th March, and the fish was lovely, but the chips were dry and scraggy, so awful really, had to throw them away. Hopefully next time we go there chips will be better. But overall would recommend.

One of the Falmouth- Delabole- Launceston golden triangle of haddock and mushy pea heaven's highlights. Winner winner, fried fish dinner- hooray.

Best chippy ever. All food good and tasty, and great value. Chips are crisp, and not greasy. Great portion size as well. Fish and curry sauce the biz as well.

Honestly, greasy undercooked chips. If you run a fish and chip shop, you gotta make sure that the one thing you are selling above all else is cooked properly. Undercooked and dripping in grease / fat isn't good

Best chippy ive come accross .the oil they use doesnt cause me acid like other chippies.

As tourist visitors here didn't realise as sat nav takes you down what's supposed to be a one way road down hill there's a car park on right just before chip shop on left.advise telephone order in advance as gets busy especially Fridays...wish we'd shared fish supper as portions are really big...but we managed..chicken and chips was nice though not much meat..haddock was massive..too many chips but still well cooked ....recommended!

We live a good 10 - 15 minutes away and the food is always still piping hot when we get it home. The portions are extremely generous.

Very good chippy, very busy but with very fast service once the order was taken. You may have a long wait to get your order in but they're quite speedy. Food is amazing, fish was really good. Chips were good. Recommended.

We have been coming here for fish n chips for years, still amazing quality and good value for money. Portion sizes are still generous. We phone or order through so we don't have to wait too long but always cooked to order so we don't mind a short wait for fresh food. Thanks Again.

My son and his girlfriend and myself purchased fish and chips from this establishment -- and I have to say the fish was big and top quality along with the chips -- yes if I am ever in this area again holidaying or passing through I shall call in again --there is a carpark opposite as the chip shop is on a hill the carpark is on a plateau with disabled parking and the entranced is ramped for access but yes the take away not eat in food shop does nice tasting food at reasonable prices👍👍

We were ordering for 5 people, and we didn't have to wait long. They have a good system for waiting, and the food was assembled quickly. We had a 15 minute drive home and the food was still hot and fresh by the time we arrived. Really good mushy peas and curry sauce!

Ordered take away from here whilst on holiday. The food was absolutely perfect. Lovely food at a decent price. Nice friendly staff and will definitely order from here again when I’m back here next year!

We just moved to the area and several people recommended Francine's to us. They were right. Phoned order through evening before as guessed it would be busy Friday evening 6pm. There were 5 of us adults. Ordered 4 cod, 1 chicken leg, 2 large chips and 1 small chips and 1 curry sauce. The cod was huge!! 2 of us couldn't finish their fish. We really only needed 1 large and 1 small chips. The portions are huge. Staff all very friendly. It was really busy and jk wonder. Will be back!!

Good fish and chips but my haddock was too big to finish and a tad dry.The cod pieces were nice,chips and mushy peas spot on.

We had dinner from here on Friday whilst on holiday in the area, really lovely fish and chips was impressed, portions really large, we are big eaters but could of really just shared 1 large chips between 2 of us they was massive! Would highly recommend & will use again if we come back.

Popped in for fish and chips as it’s next to the car park, very glad we did. Cracking fish and chips! And more than we could eat! Perhaps not the cheapest place in town but my god I doubt if there’s a better one. Go for it folks - you’ll be glad you did! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Over rated on the whole and avoid unless you want loads of plastic waste

When on holiday it's usually hard to find a fish and chip shop thats as good as the one at home but not this time 👍 Francine's has great parking , the staff were fast and efficient but most of all the fish and chips were great , the Cod was big with nice batter and there were more than enough chips 👌 Thank you guys 👏

Decided to try this chippy as I had heard it was really good, could not believe how good it was, absolutely delicious, huge portion and this was the best fish and chips we have had for years! We normally go to the one in Bude but this was superb. You can tell it is a family run business and the care taken into the food was obvious. It wasn't greasy like some chippys are. Couldn't eat it all! will definitely be coming back this will now be our regular chippy, strongly recommend a visit!

Excellent fish and chips. Fish is lightly battered and the portion of chips was huge. They fry in plant-base, responsiby-sourced oil which hugely improves the flavour. Highly recommended if you're in Launceston 👍🏼👍🏼

Well organised. Didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. No vegan options (except the chips) but vegetarian available.

This is a very good take away, portions are good fish is always tasty. During the pandemic staff have all worn masks, they have partitions up in front of the staff, you go in to order and then wait outside till your order is ready. I always pop in if I am passing Launceston, never been disappointed.

Grabbed sausage and chips last night before doing a night shift! Sorry to say the chips were awful, didn't even eat quarter of them 🤢

Quick order or a phone up prior, always get done very well. Good pricing, good team. Will be a consistent customer for a long time.

Best fish and chips in this part of Cornwall! We travel in from Devon for them. Always busy, which is always a good sign!

Last couple of times we have had fish and chips from Francines we have all been left disappointed, chips are hard and fish is pretty uninspiring. Not sure what’s happened in the last year but it’s massively gone down hill, unfortunately this will be our last visit to Francines due to the quality of food gone down.

Phoned an order through at 17.45 and asked to collect it at 19.00. I was given an order number over the phone and told to pay on arrival. When I arrived there were 4/5 people waiting outside but I was able to go straight to the till to pay. I was asked if I wanted salt and pepper on my order, then I went outside to wait with the others. Within a couple of minutes my order number was called (ahead of all the others who were waiting) I went back inside and was asked if I wanted a bag to carry my order (no charge). Food was piping hot, very fresh and huge portions!! Our go to chippy...love it!!

This is our go to fish and chip shop. Always good quality food and great service. Portion sizes are large for the price you pay... which maybe I shouldn't say because the prices might go up 🙂 One small portion of chips feeds two of us.
