Busy! Staff good but seemed under pressure, 30% voucher good deal. Very busy and very hot day, staff however all seemed to be happy, smiling and getting on with the job. Food was good, little bit of a wait but was advised of it. Didn’t mind as was nice to have a drink in the sun! Other customers should be mindful of the pressure the staff are under and accept it’s their choice to be there, won’t get much better service in other local pubs!

I was brought up about 150 yards from this pub. Yesterday was my 4th visit, but won't be my last. Normally visit a pub nearer to home,but that's been going downhill . So we tried the "Fox". Glad we did. Warm welcome by pleasant barman. Bit of a wait for food,but at least you know that the kitchen is just not throwing it out. Good size helpings of tasty food. Clean toilets. Good size garden. Will leave the car at home next time,and will try their wines. Pity we don't live nearer. Fabulous time. Highly recommended.

Just called in for a Saturday afternoon lunch and a couple of pints in the lovely weather we are currently having. The food was excellent,cooked perfectly and very tasty and the service was first class. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and lovely staff.Very highly recommended.

Hubby and I came for Easter lunch......absolutely fab. Very warm welcome and greeting when we arrived and shown to our seat by the lovely Tasha...We went for the Beef lunch....Tasty,hot , ample and served with a smile. Hubby and i went for food i must say we cleared our plates. Food was well presented, hot and very tasty. Service was as usual efficient. Hubby had steak cooked to perfection and i had peppercorn chicken which was lovely . Definitely recommended couldnt fault the food, service or price.

Visited here last wknd for first time in several years.Specials board said 2x steaks or GRILLS and a drink for £20, and burgers were under the Steaks & grills section on the menu, but when we ordered two burgers and two drinks, was told was over £20, when queried, was told burgers are not included, only steaks!!! Bit ambiguous menu!!However, we decided on steaks instead, and fair play they were lovely, perfectly cooked and really tender!!Lovely meal, we will return!!

Simplemente disfruté de dos deliciosas cenas de carne y una bebida por solo 20. Cocinado perfectamente con papas fritas, arvejas y aros de cebolla y una deliciosa salsa de pimienta. Excelente relación calidad-precio y excelente comida. El personal fue muy atento y nos encontró una mesa tranquila y agradable. No hay que esperar mucho para la comida tampoco. ¡Volveré!

Visit this pub quite often and always guaranteed a decent meal. It is obviously a chain restaurant and food is your typical pub grub but always up to a good quality. The new 'chicken your way' is great! Staff always friendly and efficient.

Attended on Sunday with family. There was a full menu including the Sunday lunch menu. I opted for the Chicken lunch which was very tasty. Others The in the party had the Pork whilst some had the Turkey meal. All were very happy with their meals and will visit again. Children are welcome and their is an extensive childrens menu. The staff were welcoming and professional.

Great garden in the sun and a busy Saturday afternoon in the pub. Food good all around with great steak and scampi with mushy peas. Also nice curry’s. Service took a long 45 mins but we weren’t in a hurry. Would recommend for value and reasonable quality.

I happened to call into the Fox last night, after many years. The pub was lively and quite busy. There were some musicians playing in the back room, which I thought was just a practice session for them. It appears that they do this every Friday night but it's not advertised anywhere. Due to the small space in the room, no one was encouraged to sit and join in or listen to them. They were very good and would have the place jumping if people knew they were invited in. Just my take on it.

We went for a lunchtime meal and were left very disappointed with the standard of food that we were served. I had the Gammon which was ok but the peas and fried eggs that come with it were rock hard and inedible, also the meal wasn't very hot when it came, My wife and daughter both had burgers and they said that they weren't overly impressed with them and again the meals weren't very hot. We didn't bother complaining as the food took ages to come probably nearly 45 minutes after we had ordered the food at the bar. All in all it's safe to say we wont be returning to the Fox and Hounds for a meal

i went to the fox and hounds and had a lovely time i have a batted cod with chips and a large coke there was nothing wrong for the meal i highly dought anyone will say anything bout this place it is amazing the chief and waiters were very nice and i will defiantly eat here again i will always remember this place

My family and I enjoyed a lovely meal there on Thursday. Management and staff always friendly and accommodating. Have started to use this pub more frequently lately as the service and food have improved so much. Not expensive either which is a bonus. Well done and thanks to all staff.

Este siempre ha sido mi pub favorito en el área, sin embargo, fui a buscar comida la semana pasada y últimamente, cada vez que he ido, me han dicho que no tienen las cosas adecuadas para la comida que quiero y, nuevamente, esto sucedió para que Fue un buen comienzo. Pedí 3 platos para 12 y luego mi compañero pidió pollo y un lado de pan de ajo. Cuando salió mi comida, compraron el pan de ajo con él y sin decirnos nada, dijeron que "los chefs pensaron que lo pediste como entrante, así que tu principal no será largo", así que mi novio tuvo que esperar por su hamburguesa. Tenía los champiñones cremosos de ajo que recibo siempre que los amo y mis amigos y yo siempre comentamos sobre ellos. Pero solo sabía a agua con hierbas y las setas aún estaban duras. ¿También se adjunta una foto de pelo entre las setas? que automáticamente me quita la comida. ¿El queso en el pan de ajo no fue derretido completamente? Lo cual me pareció extraño considerando que se olvidaron del plato principal, así que, ¿por qué no dejaron que el queso se derritiera por más tiempo mientras clasificaban la hamburguesa?

Visité aquí para una comida para el cumpleaños de un amigo. Rachel, la asistente del gerente, fue fabulosa, solucionó todo para nosotros, ya que muchos de nosotros no pensamos que ella se merece el crédito que se merece, ya que ella es la columna vertebral de este establecimiento. La comida es deliciosa era agradable y caliente todos disfrutamos. Todo el personal es encantador, el trabajo realmente duro es a menudo poco personal, ya que puede ser un pub muy ocupado. Mi única queja con este pub, ya que he estado bebiendo aquí durante años, últimamente es como entrar en una guardería, literalmente, llena de niños con disturbios. Ya que estoy a favor de las familias, si los niños se sientan y se comportan de otra manera, cuando gritan y corren por todas partes cuando intentas disfrutar de tu comida, los padres dejan que lo hagan testigos con mis propios ojos. Después de todo, es un ambiente para adultos o debería ser cuando ha estado trabajando todo el día y desea un lugar tranquilo para relajarse y disfrutar de una bebida. Sería mejor si hubiera un área para familias que debería estar en el área junto al jardín de la cerveza, como entonces Los niños pueden salir afuera, pero en invierno se está congelando. Es tan malo en este momento que no me atrevo a ir allí por comida como muchos niños

Called in the Fox and Hounds for a quiet drink with my wife and granddaughter and found it very pleasant. There were quite a few people there and the menu looked very good and at a reasonable price.

The food was lovely, the staff friendly all was good, if I have one criticism it is that the food wasn’t hot. I appreciate you cannot serve piping hot food to youngstred, but it would definitely benefitted from being warmer. Apart from that all was good

Me and my wife can not thank Laura and all the fox and hounds team for Saturday night as it was outstanding service as they catered for 43 people and all meals came out together and as ordered, also they couldnt do enough for us and the whole night ran soomthly, i would highly recommend if it's a big booking your after or your just fancy some lovely pub grub as this pub never disappoints, it is also always lovely and clean and well kept!!!

A massive thank you to Laura, the bar staff and kitchen staff for last night, they catered for 43 people although you would have never had guessed as everyone's food came out together, piping hot and all orders were as placed, I would highly recommend this place to anyone as the staff are always warm and welcoming and nothing is ever too much for them!

I've ate here with my partner and on several occasions with co-workers.

Varied menu. Daily specials. Cask beers Brains SA and Bitter available, well-kept. We ordered homemade tomato soup, Welsh burger, beef chilli and jacket potato with Southern BBQ chicken melt. All good. All delicious. Sweet potato fries too. Homely atmosphere. Excellent service. Wheelchair access but you need extra hands to manage two sets of double doors.

Not having been to this place before we did not know what to expect. We were however quickly reassured by the very friendly initial welcome from Jill who continued to look after us throughout our meal. The other staff were equally pleasant and there was a good choice and excellent value to be had from the pub-style menu. Will definitely return some time soon.

Absolutely amazing meal for all 13 people, I have never had a bad meal or service from this place. I often take my work colleagues hear from Morrisons Newport road Cardiff here and we have always had 5 star food and service, thank you to all the staff n chef u are amazing x

El personal es genial con los niños y la comida es sinceramente insuperable. Always hit and miss in this pub, this visit definitely a miss. Very hot evening lots of people out but no staff in the pub ordered 2 of their classic cocktails and the bar person had no idea what we were taking about had to find the menu on my phone so they knew what we wanted. Good food menu but tried to order food to be told it would be a 2 plus hour wait, this was a Tuesday night thought they would have enough staff to to cope, went home and got a takeaway! We used to be regulars here a few years ago but the service has gone down over the years, after this visit I don't think we will be going back.

Laura and her team always provide the best service nothing is ever too much for them, also really good value for money with a really good menu too choose from I would highly recommend this pub to anyone🍷🍽️

Once again I visited the Fox and Hounds for Sunday lunch with my two friends. We were shown to our seats and asked if we required drinks. We ordered drinks and gave our lunch orders at the same time. The drinks arrived promptly and the food followed soon. The three of us opted for the fish and chips for a change to sunday roast. We all cleared our plates and shortly afterwards the puddings arrived. I chose ice cream, whilst my friends chose lemon cream pie and the mixed berry cheesecake. All three were extremely tasty. We asked for our bill, which came to just over £32. Excellent value considering the fantastic service, quality of food and general ambiance. I can highly recommend the Fox and Hounds and applaud all members of staff in supplying such an enjoyable sunday lunch experience. Well done all.

We have been three times in the last month the Sunday Lunch choice of Meats and 2 courses. The food is good it’s a great atmosphere the Staff are excellent and for a ceiling having a menu with items marked as gluten free is a bonus for me.

Wanted to try this pub for along time. Went for a quick pint. The bar staff were friendly and I sat in the regulars area. Asked for sky sports news,they didnt have it. That's poor for a brains outlet. A couple of regulars started talking to me and made me feel welcome. Nice in this day and age. The only thing I have to say was the pub was very cold. And it was a bitterly cold day. Other than that it was a good afternoon. Will call again.
