**Family-Friendly Gem** Venturing here for the first time with our family, including our lively 7-year-old and our furry friend, was an absolute delight. The spacious table area was a welcome sight, offering plenty of room for all of us. The food was delicious, and the staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. We found ourselves happily lingering from 2pm until 9pm, thoroughly enjoying every moment. We're already counting down the days until we can return. We couldn't stop raving about what a fantastic experience it was. This place truly exceeded our expectations, leaving us thoroughly impressed.

I’ve used this pub on and off for a good few years. I must say the new gaffer Sean, and the most recent staff are just lovely!! The place has a much more welcoming and chilled vibe ☺️ I walked off to talk to a mate, and left my drink on the table, just under half full. I was a bit gutted that it had been cleared away (my fault for leaving it) Bless Sean He gave me a whole new drink without giving it a second thought!! For me, it’s the little things!! Harry and Dan are lovely too 😊 Overall, if you’re passing by, give The Crown a go!! I 💯 recommend Thanks guys 😋😋

Went for lunch as our usual venue, the Hardwick, was full. Unfortunately on a cold day, the place was freezing. Everyone in there sat with coats and scarves. Only 1 fire on but the few tables around it were booked. People near bye complained about the cold and bar staff said they would turn up heating, but still no radiators came on. Never had to sit before in an ember inn shivering. Food was very average. Will not be going back.

Received a good welcome from the bar man when we walked in. He was pleasant and engaged with my young son regarding what drink he wanted. If only the food was even half as good as the service. I’m sorry to say the dual Sunday dinner (two meats) was probably the worst Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. No one followed up to check this bland, uninspiring dinner was any good which was the only poor bit of service I had here.
