I have been going to Fortune Cookie for over a decade, and it is undoubtedly the best Chinese takeaway out there, we are lucky to have this in Walsall ! Pauline is always incredibly kind, and the whole family work hard to make tasty and delicious food, they deserve every success. Having had many Chinese takeaways up and down the country, this is always of a fantastic quality and as authentic tasting as you can get here. They’re great for also dealing with anyone with allergies and have lots of vegetarian options unlike other Chinese takeaways around here. You wouldn’t want to go anywhere else, thank you Fortune Cookie!

Food is amazing and consistent every time. Customer service is on point. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend, best Chinese in Walsall.

Well cooked but disappointingly bland and not a vegetable in sight. The duck pancakes boded well, excellent, tasty and fresh. The same could not be said of the ribs which were in some form of tasteless gravy, as was the roast duck and pork main course. The egg fried rice was just that egg and rice, not a vegetable anywhere near it. It was expensive, even for Walsall and a bit of disappointment. I was chased by phone as the postcode was incorrect so full marks for that. I was subsequently asked if I wanted at the given time which I thought was odd, as I wouldn’t have booked it for that time if I didn’t!!!

I had a beef curry and egg fried rice. The rice was very dry and some grains were very hard. The beef in the curry was vile. It had either been frozen and defrosted several times, wasn’t beef or it was off. The curry sauce itself had a weird taste to it. I’ve never had a curry sauce like it before in my life! It all went straight in the bin. Total waste of money. I will never use this Chinese takeaway again. Totally avoid!

As a vegetarian, I struggle to find Chinese dishes I really like. I ordered a soya dish and a side. The owner rang to say that the side I had ordered wasn’t veggie and offered me other options. They later rang back to check whether the food had been okay. My soya and cashews was truly delicious. I have never known a restaurant to call for feedback before. Exceptional food and service. Well done. You are our go to Chinese now.

It is not easy to manage the food quality for a restaurant, but they do very well on it. The lady very polite and friendly, thanks for the service..

The best Chinese spot!!! The telephone service is amazing, they are very polite and formal when discussing orders on the phone. The delivery driver is always friendly. The food is 10/10 always hot and tasty! The flavouring is impeccable! Highly recommend!

Great fresh tasting food, love the menu. Never liked any other Chinese in Walsall after sang kee closed down in. Caldmore Walsall. But this place is amazing.

While the chips were decent, the beef chow mein was off. The smell of the beef was a sign the meat was off. That put me off from the entire meal.

Late review sorry! Lady on the phone was really helpful when we had issues with PayPal payment and change of address. Portion sizes are amazing for starters and mains. Prawn toast, salt and pepper chicken and chow mein here are fantastic! Quick delivery and food was piping hot. Would recommend best Chinese in Walsall 👌

We are always a bit sceptical trying take aways but this one hit the spot. The lovely lady that took our order was friendly and welcoming and the food was quick to be prepared, she even brought it to the car for us. The food itself was hot and there was plenty of it. Not at all greasy or full of onions rather than actual food. We had a real mix of dishes including noodles and sauce based food and ut was all superb. We will definitely return! We have been ordering food for quite a while now and it has always been lovely, fresh and tasty. However the meal we ordered tonight was different, it wasnt very warm, not piping hot as it usually is, the egg fried rice was overcooked, stuck together in large lumps and the meal my husband always has tasted sweet? As he has the same thing everytime he knows how it usually tastes very well! Im hoping this is just a one off as we would like to continue as customers, we thought perhaps you had a different chef?

Normally 5 stars but disappointing tonight. Food came on time but was a bit cold and our usual dishes tasted quite different, new chef maybe? Please get back to normal soon

Went here for the first time yesterday, was very disappointed. Chicken curry: onions almost raw, Egg fried rice: no sign of egg Crispy shredded beef: could have been any meat, so deep fried was almost too tough to eat Noodles: very bland King Prawn Ginger n Pineapple: strange taste of aniseed. Will not be returning, very sorry as the lady who served me was so very pleasant.

Food arrived early and hot, food was delicious, chips were crispy and not at all greasy, this could easily become my regular, couldn't fault it.

Had a meal for 5 delivered on Christmas Eve. Everything fine. Tried to order a meal tonight and was told it was too far (1.9 miles) and that they were looking after their locals. This is disgusting. We are on their just eat radar. Will not be ordering again and just eat should look into this 😠😠😠

This is now my new regular. The food is delicious and the chef really is amazing. A spicy red sauce is delicious and the crispy portions of our meals always come without having sweated in the containers and still crisp. Thoroughly enjoy the food from fortune cookie. Really enjoyed the food - it was delicious! We were a mix of meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans but they were happy to adapt some of the order to make it suitable to our tastes. Great service - will definitely be going back!

I got delivery and it was excellent. It was still hot, the spring rolls were crispy and the black bean sauce is freakin awesome. Best I've had in Cambridge. On a Friday night it took less than an hour and was hot on arrival?? And the food was good? This is now my go to Chinese. Thank you so much!

Was recommended to this chinese from daughter who is always happy with food. First order - sweet n sour chicken balls plus efr. Tasted very much of just oiley fat! Not nice at all! Ate 3, binned the rest. Lemon chicken plus efr. Ok, carrots raw, nothing to write home about. Both came with seperate sauses, chicken lemon normally on. Thick globular sauces, not nice. Spare ribs in peking sauce, ok, but what ca go wrong. Admit, you get used to your own fav chinese, closed unfortunately. But would not order again. My opinion only.

Without doubt one of the best takeaways in the area - I wouldn't go anywhere else! Everything I have had so far has been so tasty and fresh - sweet and sour sauce is lovely and the pork yuk sung is absolutely the best I've had. Service is always very friendly and quick. Highly recommended!
