Me and my partner came here around 11.30 on a Tuesday. Greeted immediately when we walked in the door by 2 really friendly ladies. We sat down and at first glance the prices threw us off a bit but we said we would chance it. My partner got the scrambled eggs on toast with extra bacon and I got a cream cheese bagel with smoked salmon and a latte. The coffee was maybe the best I've had in Edinburgh so far, really really good. The bagel was lovely lots of salmon and loaded with cream cheese. My partner enjoyed his order too. Would definitely come back here, the staff and the quality of the food is definitely worth paying a bit extra! Service charge of 8.5% is added which it states on the menu but to be honest we would've left a tip regardless so it didn't bother us! Definitely go here if you like good quality food, fast service and good coffee

Great little Cafe with great food and quick friendly service. If you are staying nearby, like at the Yotel, this is a nice alternative to go to. The atmosphere is good, if a little cramped, and there are signs stating that if it is busy, to not start playing around on your laptop due to the space. Food was a good serving for the price paid but the 8.5% surcharge for sitting in was a bit harsh, though they did warn us about that before we ordered. I know Starbucks does this type of thing, and as we have just gotten back, we were not sure if this is now common practice for cafes in the area. Other than that, food was great, staff were friendly, and service was fast when we visited around 10 in the morning. Will probably go again.

Lovely coffee and brunch bar, my group came here for breakfast and it was lovely. Clean and quiet atmosphere with a menu that suited many dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, dairy allergies)

Good food and tea..nice polite personeel. I was staying to the hotel next door and it was an easy solution for breakfast. A bit overpriced though.

Scrambled eggs made in the microwave for 7-50 on one single piece of toast. Overpriced my opinion our breakfast came to fifty pounds and we had nothing major. Touristy place with a hefty service charge. Lola’s round the corner much better value

A quant little spot, populated mostly by students (not my vibe, but great for students). The food is pretty good, with dietary options for gluten free and vegan, menu is fun, coffee is nice, and the tuna melt is a hot recommendation from me. Service is super, toilet is clean. Only thing letting it down is that it’s overpriced for what it is.

Lovely little coffee and food place. Three of us ordered different breakfast each and we enjoyed it all. Coffee was good too, if you want a cup do yourself a favour and come here. I ordered a gingerbread latte and it was so nicely balanced. Not too sweet either, just perfect. Staff was friendly, thank you!

That was our best breakfast in Edinburg! The staff was very lovely and willing to give you a pleasant moment and the coffee was delicious, surely one of the best in town. You need to try the beetroot latte 🤫

A very pleasant several visits to Fortuna Coffee Bar for a quick breakfast/lunch and a coffee. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, smiley and cheerful. The coffee was good, and the food even better. Quite a nice selection of healthy meals like berry bowls, poke bowls, avocado toasts, cheese toasties. Highly recommend visiting this place if you're around.

Great coffee. My dad came along with me, he is a hard-to please-Australian man and he said it was the best coffee he'd had in Edinburgh over 10 days!

What a special and cozy place to have your morning coffee in! Delicious food, delicious drinks and the friendliest staff. The avocados tastes so fresh and creamy, the eggs are very creamy and tasty as well. The sourdough bread is absolutely delicious. Vegan milk options are available for every drink. Although the seating area is a bit too small, but thats what makes it feel like home. I highly recommend. 10/10

I ordered through uber eats! So happy to mention the food is exactly as in the pictures, inspite of it being a delivery service. Not to mention how the place served thank you notes on the order. What a sweet gesture! The food tastes amazing!! I also had their gingerbread latte 🥰

Was hesitant initially as the cafe didnt seem spacious when you take the pram in initially and was worried if baby would be calm but the seating was done in a way that put us to ease.Very helpful staff and such good breakfast place.Decent sizes and you will walk out with a happy tummy and a big smile.Keep up the good work guys.

What a lucky google! Just down from Yotel and food 10/10. Had granola bowl with the most fresh fruit I have seen in Edinburgh! Beautifully presented. Avo on toast with Bacon, 5 star. Generous serves with good size pot of tea to boot. Lovely service.

A wonderful little home in the heart of Edi. The Cheese Toastie and all their diffrent types of tea is a wonderful walm hug in the winter months. All the staff were walm and attentive and don't mind a question or two. If your visiting Edi or just live across the road, come and feel at home in this little cafe!

It's a small space so it was really crowded and a bit noisy when I went, but that's just the nature of "cosy" coffee shops I suppose. I just had an Americano so I can't comment on the food, but the menu looked interesting and healthy and my coffee was good and strong so no complaints there. Waiting staff were friendly and accommodating too.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops I’ve ever been to. I love the different toast topping options and everything is really good quality and well prepared. Coffee is also excellent. The atmosphere is really pleasant as well.

Great coffee, superb food, amazingly fast and friendly service. We visited Edinburgh for three nights recently and had breakfast at Fortuna every morning. The place is tiny and gets packed, but it is worth the wait if you have to. The menu isn't long, but what is on there is truly tasty, with big portions and made with care by the excellent and super friendly staff. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area!

Divine! We stayed right next door at Native Edinburgh and came here every day for breakfast or just a cappuccino. The eggs and toast was delicious and the staff is very kind!

We only stopped for coffee and tried their millionaire shortbread, which was delicious. To me the coffee was a bit too roasted to my liking but maybe it was just me 🥹😁 anyway, the staff is super lovely and kind :) I eyed the avocado toasts around me and if I weren’t full I woulda gotten some as they looked divine! :O

We stayed at the Native so the cafe was right next door. Came in seeing the reviews, and can’t agree more; it’s a cozy place with great food. Tried the ham and cheese croissant, the cheese toastie, banana nest - all of which were really tasty and fresh. Chai latte and matcha latte for coffee. Also really nice. The staff were really friendly and sure brightened up our day before the adventures began.

Muy buenos desayunos. Personal muy atento. Tomamos un bagel de salmón ahumado y queso crema y una tostada de varios quesos tomate y aguacate. Muy rico todo.

We had just switched to a new hotel due to a bad experience at another hotel and needed a solid breakfast. We stumbled upon this little gem 😍 Apart from the friendly service and the cute decore, we had a magnificent breakfast (avo toast with scramble and berry bowl) with some lovely coffee. Thank you for giving us a bright new start to the day 🙏👌

I’m from Argentina and we stay at the Yotel just beside Fortuna Coffee. One of the best coffees I tried in Europe, the matcha latte and the natural yoghurts are superb. The owner and the service N1. I recommend to visit.

Wonderful little Coffee Shop with Delicious Croissants and Scrambled Eggs. We come back whenever we are again in Edinburgh.

Lovely breakfast bar & coffee shop easy to find slightly away from main "touristy" areas such as Princes & Rose Streets. Pretty much on corner of Queen St & Charlotte Street. Nice & light coloured furnishings & has an independent feel. I had juice, cheese toastie which was "open" & topped with brie & a nice americano coffee just as I like. Friendly welcoming staff, recommended & will return when next in Edinburgh.

Right next door to our hotel was this wonderful little café run by a very friendly couple , it was so good we came back for 2 mornings in a row to have our breakfast , the flat whites were just perfect and the grilled cheese and ham croissant were a fab way to start the day , my partners highlight was finding another place that served her favourite turmeric lattes

Absolutely lovely wee place! I really enjoyed the healthy and tasty choices on the menu, service is wonderful. The place is clean and bright, I had a wonderful afternoon there with my friends.

Have made this my regular breakfast / brunch and coffee shop when in Edinburgh. Great coffee, awesome choice of food options all freshly prepared. Staff are all super efficient and friendly.
